Terrible things are happening in Syria

The videos being posted of the atrocities on the peaceful protestors there are harrowing. Kids in the protest marches are being killed right in front of their siblings and parents. In some of the videos I saw bodies lying all over the streets and people shot and bleeding to death and nobody able to take them away from the mayhem in fear of being shot themselves. Unbelievable and extremely sad. The vid below is the least gory I could find to post here.

At times like these, and especially when we see what dictators can do to their own people, we should get down on our knees and give thanks that we are living where we are and stop complaining about what we perceive to be wrong with our own government. I know I am guilty of that too.

Where are the Canadian Syrians who were dancing and singing in the streets of Montreal and Toronto in support of the dictator ? Have they seen the videos of Syrians being killed by his men ?  If they love Assad so much, why did they leave him and his dictatorship to migrate to Canada?  Stupid fools.
