Australia and Canada start experiencing sectarian Sunni-Shitte violence ....

courtesy the benevolence of the immigration systems in both countries.  Brain-dead politicians in both Canada and Australia have not stopped importing Muslims with nothing but murder on their minds and hate in their hearts.... and we the ordinary citizens sharing our streets and neighbourhoods with the cavemen from Muslim countries have to bear the brunt of mayhem and madness from savages while the blasted politicians who have placed us in this predicament are smooching around with the elite and millionaires at caviar parties and never ever experience even for a flitting second what it's like to live  on a daily basis with the madness inherent in the Muslims ... whether they be Sunni or Shiites.

Debra Jopson writing at GlobalMail:
Syria’s civil war is playing out  in Australia’s suburbs along sectarian lines — with some living in Sydney’s west too scared to speak, after beatings, a shooting and an alleged arson.

In early September Abu Ali began to seriously consider closing up his barber shop in the Sydney suburb of Auburn and moving his family to safety in the Shiite Muslim enclave of Arncliffe. That was when two heavyset men with the shaven heads, long beards and short dishdashas favoured by adherents of the strict Orthodox Wahhabi sect came into his shop and ordered him to take down campaign posters for a candidate in the Auburn council elections.

“He said, better for you to take down this photo. I said, no. He said if you [do] not take it down, I’ll give you some trouble,” says Abu Ali, who believes the men were Islamists.
“I am scared of these people. Their version of Islam is very violent. They can attack people,” he says. As a father, he is haunted by internet photos of slain Syrian children, and he fears the same atrocities could be visited on his own.

Syrian Spillover in Sydney Suburbia from Digital Global Mail Limited on Vimeo.

This was not the first threat. About 18 months before, as the Syrian uprising against the Assad regime began, a muscular bearded man drew up in a car near Abu Ali’s shop, saying Shiites were rubbish, hurling other abuse and threatening to kick him out of his business......

......Under the weight of such threats, some Shiite families have already fled the Auburn area and several more are thinking of following them, according to Abu Ali, whose shop walls now bristle with CCTV cameras. Police are investigating the threats. Abu Ali is wondering how he can rebuild his barber’s business in Arncliffe and how his wife and children would cope moving away from family, friends and school.
But the fear is not confined to Auburn......

......Those who spoke to us fear that they are victims of a sectarian campaign, one made all the more frightening because it includes Facebook hate pages glorifying Osama bin Laden and other violent jihadist figures.
After physical intimidation, one building contractor who wants to be known only as “HN” says he avoids certain suburbs, claiming they are becoming “no-go” zones for Shiites.....

.....“In some areas of Sydney you can’t say you are Shia — Greenacre, Lakemba and Punchbowl. There are Sunni there from Lebanon and Syria. Some of them are really dangerous,” says HN.....

....Although he is a Sunni, because of his opposition to removing the Syrian regime by force, extremists have lumped him in with the Shiites they despise, he says.
He replayed the tape of a hate call he recorded on August 29 from a man who spoke in English and Arabic with a Lebanese accent. The man assumed Daoud, a Palestinian from Jordan, was an Iraqi Shiite.....

.....Shop fire: Rockdale councillor Michael Nagi was quoted in a local newspaper in July saying that a suspicious fire which destroyed his Bankstown chicken shop was lit “because I am a Shiite Muslim”.
Nagi is not prepared to speak about it now. Kaldas says there is still “very much an active investigation” into the fire. Police are not sure who did it, he says.
Extortion: The proprietor of a Sydney juice shop named in a Facebook hate page, “Boycott Tyranny”, which urged its fans to shun Shiite-run enterprises, was assaulted and forced to quit his business. It is understood police are still investigating.
Firebombing: Victoria Police say they are still investigating a petrol bomb attack on the Alevi Community Council of Australia, a Turkish Alawite centre in North Coburg. No-one has been charged........

........The conflict in Syria, where some preachers are advocating ethnic cleansing, is a constant conversation topic among locals with Middle East backgrounds, says Joe Wakim, a founder of the Australian Arabic Council.
“They are generally scared of what is happening there and what could happen here,” he says.....

Fright Night ... the movie

HAH !!! Roasted Turkey ... yummy !!

Get your knives and forks ready to cut into the roasted bird.
Even if only some parts of the analysis ring true, the fact remains that in whatever shape or form the situation  stands at the present time,  one thing is very, very certain and sure  ..... IT IS A TOTAL MESS, the kind of mess that only idiots aka politicians  have been known to make in times past to present.

Youssef al-Sharif writing at Al-Monitor:
....Two months ago,    political and media quarters in Turkey seemed optimistic about a possible change in Washington's position on the Syrian crisis after the United States presidential election.

They expected that Washington would start working on settling the issue, either by mobilizing the Friends of Syria group and exhorting them to create a safe zone in northern Syria, or by arming the opposition and providing it with financial, military and intelligence support in order to bring down the regime.

However, this optimism faded away and was replaced by tension and the exchange of missiles across the border with Syria. This optimism was also affected by the positions of the Syrian opposition, which is splintered both politically and militarily.

The image that all Turkish quarters had envisioned was that if a greater amount of Syrian opponents joined the Syrian National Council (SNC), which was supposed to overhaul its structure to attract more members, and if the opposition's armed military on the ground were unified, then the stage would be set for the post-US elections period, which would witness a crucial move on the part of Washington.

However, the Turkish efforts in this regard were a complete fiasco. In fact, Ankara found itself facing a new — and perhaps more difficult — test in light of the Eid al-Adha truce project launched by UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi.

This project was perceived by many Turkish parties as a prelude to correct the track of the Turkish policy, after Turkey had lost hope in the Syrian opposition. Still, Turkey is clinging to the hope of overthrowing the regime of Bashar al-Assad, but it may have begun to reconsider its position and settle for a smaller piece of the new ruling pie in Syria.

In fact, the Istanbul visit by CIA Director David Petraeus in early September revived the old Turkish optimism......

....For a while, it seemed that the main opposition parties responded to the Turkish move to unite their ranks in front of the American observer, but it was not long before this picture faded away, either due to Syrian tactics on the ground, which worked on dragging Turkey into the conflict by bombing its territory, or due to the Aleppo bombings, whose responsibility was claimed by al-Qaeda and which came as a fatal response to Turkey's efforts to unify the military command of the opposition.....

.....Based on that, some Turkish observers believe that Turkey will go back on its previous positions regarding a military settlement on the ground.

They also say that Turkey has begun to accept middle solutions that allow a transitional government to emerge that include representatives of the regime as well as Chinese and Iranian interests, which would be similar to the “blocking third” government in Lebanon.....

UKIP's Nigel Farage lashes out at EU debate ... Oct 23, 2012

Historians,  those who don't sway from the truth and nothing but the truth, will record that there were many people like Nigel Farage who tried to keep democracy from dying a slow painful death on our planet Earth.... but  failed ...because there were too many idiots and hypocrites who outnumbered the intelligent beings like Mr.Farage.

Cavemen's "celebratory" gunfire, cuts cable, electrocutes wedding guests

Cavemen have too much money and bullets.  I doubt there are any birds in the skies where dwell these uncouth cavemen. The 2 dozen dead guests were all either women or children. Do you know why no men were among the dead???  Come on, take a guess before you click the link.

The YahooNews article below does not tell you the gender of those killed.  Intentional omission?  Yup.

Celebratory gunfire at a wedding party   in eastern Saudi Arabia on Tuesday night brought down an electric cable, killing 23 people, a local civil defense official said.
"At the wedding, the cable fell on a metal door and the 23 people who died were all electrocuted," Eastern Province official Abdullah Khashman said by phone.
A photograph of the aftermath of the accident, published on local newspapers' websites showed a large courtyard strewn with fallen chairs and a pole in the middle supporting cables carrying lightbulbs.
All those killed were from the same tribe, Khashman said. Thirty others were injured in the incident near Abqaiq, a center of the Saudi energy industry.....

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speechers ... Part Twelve

Odumegwu "Emeka" Ojukwu (1933 - 2011)
the  President of the short lived Republic of Biafra.

"It is now evident why the fanatic Arab-Muslim states like Algeria, Egypt and the Sudan have come out openly and massively to support and aid Nigeria in her present war of genocide against us. These states see militant Arabism as a powerful instrument for attaining power in the world."

"Our struggle has far-reaching significance. It is the latest recrudescence in our time of the age-old struggle of the black man for his full stature as man. We are the latest victims of a wicked collusion between the three traditional scourges of the black men, racism, Arab-Muslim expansionism and white economic imperialism."

"The Biafran struggle is, on another plane, a resistance to the Arab-Muslim expansionism, which has menaced and ravaged the African continent for twelve centuries"

"I have for a long time thought about this our predicament the attitude of the civilized world to this our conflict. The more I think about it the more I am convinced that our disability is racial. The root cause of our problem lies in the fact that we are black. If all the things that have happened to us had happened to another people who are not black, if other people who are not black had reacted in the way our people have reacted these two long years, the world's response would surely have been different."

"Ever since the 15th Century, the European world has treated the African continent as a field for exploitation. Their policies in Africa have for so long been determined to a very great extent by their greed for economic gain. For over three and half centuries, it suited them to transport and transplant millions of the flower of our manhood for the purpose of exploiting the Americas and the West Indies. They did so with no uneasiness of conscience."

"Biafra is one of the few African states untainted by Islam. Therefore, to militant Arabism, Biafra is a stumbling block to their plan for controlling the whole continent. This control is fast becoming manifest in the Organisation of African Unity. On the question of the Middle East, the Sudanese crisis, in the war between Nigeria and Biafra, militant Arabism has succeeded in imposing its point of view through blackmail and bluster. It has threatened African leaders and governments with inciting their Muslim minorities to rebellion if the governments adopted an independent line on these questions."

"Our Biafran ancestors remained immune from the Islamic contagion. From the middle years of the last century Christianity was established in our land. In this way we came to be a predominantly Christian people. We came to stand out as a non-Muslim island in a raging Islamic sea. Throughout the period of the ill-fated Nigerian experiment, the Muslims hoped to infiltrate Biafra by peaceful means and quiet propaganda, but failed."

The real and the fake photos of Sandy's fury

With Hurricane Sandy  approaching the New York metro area, the nation's eyes are turning to its largest city. Photos of storms and flooding are popping up all over Twitter, and while many are real, some of them -- especially the really eye-popping ones -- are fake.

More fake photos here.

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speechers ... Part Eleven

 John Wesley (1703-91)

"Ever since the religion of Islam appeared in the world, the espousers of it...have been as wolves and tigers to all other nations, rending and tearing all that fell into their merciless paws, and grinding them with their iron teeth; that numberless cities are raised from the foundation, and only their name remaining; that many countries, which were once as the garden of God, are now a desolate wilderness; and that so many once numerous and powerful nations are vanished from the earth! Such was, and is at this day, the rage, the fury, the revenge, of these destroyers of human kind".

"How far and wide has this miserable delusion spread over the face of the earth! Insomuch that [Muslims] are considerably more in number (as six to five) than Christians. And by all accounts, ... these are also, in general, as utter strangers to all true religion as their four-footed brethren; as void of mercy as lions and tigers; as much given up to brutal lusts as bulls or goats: so that they are in truth a disgrace to human nature."

Cavemen from around the world are converging on Syria ....

and our politicians, who are far wiser than we can ever hope to be, never tire of telling themselves and everybody around them that the Assad regime is committing atrocities of the worst  possible kind on his own people.  Of course, the cavemen waltzing around with chopped off  heads and setting off a few car bombings and  kidnapping several people for ransom or as human shields and the plenty of  sniper hits here and there which have killed  hundreds of innocent Syrians, are of no consequence, because they, the sweet saviours, are only doing their best to stop Assad and his regime from committing further atrocities.

I wonder what these same politicians will say  when a similar situation arises in their own countries (yes, I said "when" and not "if") and murdering islamists whom these same politicians have imported into Judeo-Christian countries, decide to take up arms against the governments of the Judeo-Christian countries.  Do you think they will sit quietly and watch  the cavemen take over or do you think they will decide to use their police services, and if the police services are overwhelmed, do you think they will decide to send in the army to prevent the cavemen from taking over?

Just a few days ago, Fr. Fadi Haddad was kidnapped, tortured and killed by rebel gangs when the ransom payment for his release was not made.

These are the same  rebel gangs that the politicians from countries like America, Canada, Australia, Turkey, the United Kingdom with the rest of the  EU and the manipulative Arab Sunni nations along with even Israel (who should know better)  are loudly  giving their support to monster killers by declaring that Assad is the monster and should step down.  Over and besides the rhetoric against Assad and his regime, these same countries are funneling funds, weapons and logistics to the kind of people who are at best of times, animals,  and at the worst of times, utter savages.   The world has truly gone stark raving mad.... and the madness has started with those that we the ordinary citizens in the Judeo-Christian countries have elected to high office.

..... Home of the hardcore Islamic militants  from China's troubled Xinjiang province, bordering Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), are heading to Syria and linking up with organisations like al-Qaeda to fight against the Syrian government, a media report said today.

"Leaders from 'East Turkestan' terror groups have organised for members to head for Syria to participate in their quest for jihad," state-run Global Times quoted Chinese anti-terrorism authorities as saying.....

....After receiving orders from al-Qaeda, terrorists from China came to Syria to meet with jihadists already on the ground before forming groups on the frontlines, the official said.....

.....The headquarters of ETESA, located in Istanbul, are quite extensive and include research, media, social affairs, education and women's affairs departments. It aims to "educate and train Muslims" in Xinjiang and "set them free" by forming a Muslim state, a Chinese official told the daily.....

Hurricane Sandy will not dislodge guards at the Tomb of the Unknowns

Wow !!

Chris Moody writing at Yahoo!News
Hurricane Sandy is expected to slam the East Coast and the federal government is shut down—but the U.S. servicemen who guard the outdoor Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery will remain on duty.

"They will not abandon their post," an employee who answered the Arlington Cemetery's phone confirmed to Yahoo News. He identified himself as "George," but was not authorized to speak on the record to the media.

The tomb, located just outside Washington, D.C., holds the remains of unidentified soldiers from World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
The elite sentinels selected to guard it have kept watch continuously at the site since 1948.

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speechers ... Part Ten

Ezra   Levant ... the grand daddy of them all.
I would have liked to browse through Levant's books for more quotes .... but found so much at his blogs (second link above).  I am sure I will find enough material for many more posts similar to this one, at a later date.

"Either we believe in the Criminal Code or we don't. Either we believe in non-violence or we don't. Either we believe in the equality of men and women or we don't.Either we believe that everyone is protected by the law — that no one is above it because they're a Muslim man, and no one is below it because they're a Muslim woman — or we don't."

"Hate is a natural human emotion, as much as love or sorrow, and it often accompanies those other two."

"We allow offensive people because we believe in freedom — and today’s hated idea may be tomorrow’s wisdom."

"The debates revealed Obama as a lightweight. But they also revealed that for four years, the mainstream media has covered up that fact."

"Hate speech laws, both in the criminal code and the human rights commissions, are applied arbitrarily and don't deal with real threats to real rights."

"But hate laws aren't really about hate.
They're about abusing and stretching the criminal code to criminalize political dissidents. And, for whatever reason, radical Islam has been granted a special exemption by the arbiters of political correctness."

"Defamation law has evolved through 400 years of legislation and litigation, and is an essential part of our British legal tradition. It strikes a balance between the rights of plaintiffs to protect their reputations and the rights of defendants to criticize those reputations (and the rights of the public to hear different points of view)."

"Offensive and anti-Semitic free speech didn't kill the Jews during the Holocaust. Murderous men did, and they only did when real rights and freedoms were destroyed -- the right to property; the right to life; the right to equality before the law; mobility rights; freedom of religion; freedom of association. Violent acts killed the Jews, not "feelings" of "contempt"."

"What a strange place Canada is in 2008, where the police care more about human rights than the human rights commissions do, where fundamentalist Muslims use hate-speech laws drafted by secular Jews, and where a government bureaucrat can interrogate a publisher for 90 minutes, and be shocked when he won't shake her hand in greeting."

"My crime was having illegal thoughts about poltiical and religious subjects."

"These commissions are staffed by commissioners appointed by their respective governments. To date, they have made appointments from the same stale pool of leftist activists -- people who view the commissions as political weapons."

"The logical conclusion of denying the legitimacy of the commission was to demand its worst. The point of civil disobedience is not to get off scot-free, but to willingly accept the punishments of an unjust system, to shame that system into reform."

"Why would my intentions as publisher be relevant in determining whether or not the publication was illegal? The answer is that these "human rights" commissions are interested in what George Orwell called "thought crimes". If my thoughts were pure, the publication might receive their blessing. If my thoughts were impure, the very same publication would be banned. It's worse than a limit on freedom of expression -- which is when you say or print what's on your mind. It's a test of what's on your mind itself -- a limit on freedom of thought."

"If you don't pay attention, you might not even realize that freedoms are being eroded."

Parts of  his Statement to the draconian Canadian HRC

"I am here at this government interrogation under protest. It is my position that the government has no legal or moral authority to interrogate me or anyone else for publishing these words and pictures. That is a violation of my ancient and inalienable freedoms: freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and in this case, religious freedom and the separation of mosque and state. It is especially perverted that a bureaucracy calling itself the Alberta human rights commission would be the government agency violating my human rights. So I will now call those bureaucrats “the commission” or “the hrc”, since to call the commission a “human rights commission” is to destroy the meaning of those words."

"For a government bureaucrat to call any publisher or anyone else to an interrogation to be quizzed about his political or religious expression is a violation of 800 years of common law, a Universal Declaration of Rights, a Bill of Rights and a Charter of Rights. This commission is applying Saudi values, not Canadian values."

"I have no faith in this farcical commission. But I do have faith in the justice and good sense of my fellow Albertans and Canadians. I believe that the better they understand this case, the more shocked they will be. I am here under your compulsion to answer the commission’s questions. But it is not I who am on trial: it is the freedom of all Canadians."

On a Greenpeace issue:
"Hudema said two things that still have my head shaking.
He said the oilsands "feed our addiction to oil."
As in, people use oil because the oilsands supplies it. As in, if the oilsands weren't there, people wouldn't be driving."

"Hudema's second whopper was more of a confession: Greenpeace doesn't have a clue of how to run the world without oil.....
....Greenpeace is good at getting attention, because stunts and crimes make headlines.
But scratch beneath the surface and they really have no clue about how to get the world off oil. They just want the world to buy it from OPEC rather than Canada."

Both men were originally convicted of first-degree murder in the case but were granted a new trial by the Alberta Court of Appeal.
Queen’s Bench Justice Beth Hughes found Karim guilty of second-degree murder and Deer guilty of manslaughter in the second trial.....

Benghazi-gate .... only the very best journalists are writing about it ...

the rest are dreamily experiencing the tingle up their legs just thinking about Obama in a second term.

Canadians should be proud that  we have many journalists here, primarily the  SUNTV opinionators and   journalists   who  have been talking and writing about Benghazi from the time the 2nd 9/11 happened.  Sadly, that's not the case in Obama's America.  The Press is in Obama's camp, completely and totally.

Rex Murphy writing at NationalPost
.....One reason is obvious.  An administration bragging that bin Laden is dead, and that his surviving al-Qaeda lieutenants are quivering in fear, doesn’t want a successful attack on one of its diplomatic compounds to be attributed to the very terrorist group it claims to have tamed — not two months before an election, certainly.

The furious spin of the first few days, and in particular the absolutely empty claims put forward so vigorously, and without qualification, by Ambassador Rice, might constitute more than an error. They may prove to be deliberate efforts to smother what really happened in a cloud of misinformation.
There is an air of subterfuge on this story. And as is well known since the days of Richard Nixon: It’s not the crime — it’s the cover-up.....

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speechers ... Part Nine

 Andre Servier

"The intelligence of an Arab rises as high as the faculty of imitation. Put him on a motor-car or a locomotive engine, and after a certain time of apprenticeship, they will be able to drive it; but if the machine should get out of order, he will be quite incapable of repairing it, and still less could he make a new one.”

"Islam was not a torch, as has been claimed, but an extinguisher. Conceived in a barbarous brain for the use of a barbarous people, it was-and it remains-incapable of adapting itself to civilization. Wherever it has dominated, it has broken the impulse towards progress and checked the evolution of society."

"To sum up: the Arab has borrowed everything from other nations, literature, art, science, and even his religious ideas. He has passed it all through the sieve of his own narrow mind, and being incapable of rising to high philosophic conceptions, he has distorted, mutilated and desiccated everything. This destructive influence explains the decadence of Musulman nations and their powerlessness to break away from barbarism…”

“Islamized nations, who have not succeeded in freeing themselves from Musulman tutelage, have been stricken with intellectual paralysis and decadence. They will only escape as they succeed in withdrawing themselves from the control of Musulman law.”

"The Koran is not the work of a sectarian blinded by narrow prejudice; it is the work of a politician anxious to draw to himself by all possible means the greatest number of adherents."

"In Islam there have always been rigid defenders of the Koranic dogma; these fanatics triumphed in the second century, when they obtained the immutable fixation of their doctrine. From that time onward they busied themselves in imposing their ideas and behaved with so little moderation that they became intolerable."

The Ghost and Mr.Chicken

Don Knotts in a light comedy of the bygone innocent era.  How things change, don't they?  This movie was made less than 50 years ago.  I wonder what the world will look like or how humans will behave 50 years from now.

Canada's hopelessly broken justice system is fodder for never-ending comedy sitcoms

Scene 1: Take One:  Two young people out on a date return home in the early hours of the morning (3 AM).  They open the door as quietly as possible in order not to wake up the girl's mother.

Scene 1: Take Two:  All of a sudden, they notice a pair of  running shoes at the bottom of the stairs, the stairs that lead to the mother's bedroom.

Scene 1: Take Three:  The young lovers look at one another aghast.  Heavy panting going on now.  This is scared-to-hell panting, not the love-making kind.  An unseen intruder's in the house with them and the probably fast asleep mother upstairs.

Scene 2: Take One:  The brave young man, all 150 pounds of him in a lanky 6ft something frame, grabs a kitchen knife and tip-toes upstairs.  The girlfriend whispers "be careful please" while she shivers uncontrollably and calls 911.

Scene 2: Take Two: The brave young man finds the intruder in his potential mother-in-law's bedroom and lunges at him with the knife.  He cuts the intruder in more than one place in the confrontation.  The intruder finally flees the house.

Scene 2: Take Three:  The Toronto police arrive intact with that bully behaviour they are famous for, at  it's very best.  The first thing they do is arrest the brave young man  and haul him away.

Sexual assault by BBC pervert on live TV in front of millions

It's a shame that the pervert is already dead and cannot face the consequences of his actions.  However, each and every person at the BBC who knew what was happening to the hundreds of young girls and still kept their mouths shut, should be shut up in prison for being accessories to the pervert's crimes.

.... “Then I felt his hand go up my skirt. I leapt off my chair in shock. I was so surprised I cried out and didn’t know how to deal with it.

“But he just laughed and carried on mauling me while talking to the camera. I panicked and tried to move away from him but it was so crowded I couldn’t escape. When I tried to sit down his hand was still there and went for my bottom again.

“I felt so embarrassed and ashamed because it was live on TV and all my friends and family were watching.

“The worst thing was that he was so casual when he did it. He was committing a sexual assault live on the BBC and no one gave a damn.”

Sylvia went to seek help but was given short shrift.....

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speechers ... Part Eight

Teddy Roosevelt  (1858 -- 1919)

"Wherever the Mohammedans have had a complete sway, wherever the Christians have been unable to resist them by the sword, Christianity has ultimately disappeared"

"If the peoples of Europe in the seventh and eighth centuries, an on up to and including the seventeenth century, had not possessed a military equality with, and gradually a growing superiority over the Mohammedans who invaded Europe, Europe would at this moment be Mohammedan and the Christian religion would be exterminated."

"From the hammer of Charles Martel to the sword of Sobieski, Christianity owed its safety in Europe to the fact that it was able to show that it could and would fight as well as the Mohammedan aggressor... The civilization of Europe, American and Australia exists today at all only because of the victories of civilized man over the enemies of civilization because of victories through the centuries from Charles Martel in the eighth century and those of John Sobieski in the seventeenth century."

"There are such "social values" today in Europe, America and Australia only because during those thousand years, the Christians of Europe possessed the warlike power to do what the Christians of Asia and Africa had failed to do — that is, to beat back the Moslem invader."

"Christianity is not the creed of Asia and Africa at this moment solely because the seventh century Christians of Asia and Africa had trained themselves not to fight, whereas the Moslems were trained to fight."

Politicians are cut from the same rotting cloth everywhere you look

Clare Blumer writes about what happened when a comedian gave a performance to the Australian House of Parliament.

....It wasn’t until the next day   that he found out how explosive the joke had been. Coy went into media lock-down as Manic Studios fielded questions from media outlets about the joke.

The Prime Minister had left the dinner straight before Coy’s performance, but after hearing of the joke about Tony Abbott, she called the National Secretary of the CFMEU first thing in the morning to say she found the content offensive......

.....He says he is confounded by the reaction, and the personal attacks on him by media, and politicians, who have sought to distance themselves from the joke.

“I’d never experienced that kind of vitriol in my life,” says Coy, who has been an actor for three decades.
“There’s a side of me that’s pleased people think Allan [Billison] is real. But when I’m called a sexist buffoon and politicians are falling over each other to say they’d wished they’d rushed the exits during my performance, surely they’re missing the point,” says Coy.

Coy says people have started to invent the content of the joke in order to support the view that the act was sexist.

“There was no sexist joke, that’s the big story,” says Coy. “The character challenged every MP in the room about hypocrisy — someone tell me the sexist joke!.....

BBC and the New York Times .... both biased, both embroiled in scandals

What else is new?  This is just one example of  how these two entities have been pulling wool  over the eyes of their subscribers who foolishly still insist on spending their money on "journalism"  that has long lost its credibility.

David Hughes writing at TheTelegraph;
....Mark Thompson must be getting just a little bit sweaty-palmed right now. The former BBC director-general, who was at the helm when the Newsnight/Savile debacle occurred,  has been subjected to a forensic and highly damaging analysis of his involvement in the affair in today’s New York Times – the paper where he is about to take over as chief executive on a £4-million-a-year salary. It highlights in particular the way he appears to have changed his tune:

Mr. Thompson’s version of his role has shifted somewhat over the past 10 days. In a statement released on Oct. 13, Mr. Thompson issued a blanket denial of any knowledge of the squelched BBC report. ‘I was not notified or briefed about the ‘Newsnight’ investigation,’ he said, adding that ‘during my time as director general of the BBC, I never heard any allegations or received any complaints about Jimmy Savile.’

But on Tuesday, in a letter in response to Mr. [Rob] Wilson [the Tory MP who has been setting the agenda on Savile], Mr. Thompson appeared to adjust his answer slightly, saying, ‘I was never formally notified about the ‘Newsnight’ investigation and was not briefed about the allegations they were examining and to what extent, if at all, those allegations related to Savile’s work at the BBC.’

That’s bad enough – but it gets worse. Today’s Times (no relation) reports that Thompson has admitted through his spokesman that he was aware that Newsnight was investigating Savile. The spokesman said: "Mark attended a party late last year where a journalist mentioned the fact that Newsnight had been investigating Savile. The journalist said words to the effect that 'You must be worried about the Newsnight investigation'. ”.......

One man's account of what's happening in Syria

Worth reading in full to gauge, even if somewhat vaguely, what happens when war comes calling.

Jess Hill, ABC producer and reporter for ABC Radio’s AM, The World Today and PM writes:
....“I’ve always hated the Free Syrian Army,”  he says. “They changed the whole revolution. It’s not their right to impose weapons. They are the reason a lot of people now get killed.”.....

.....But the brigades attracting the most funds — which come predominantly from rich, conservative donors in the Gulf — are those who observe the most austere Islamic practices. The easiest way for Syrian rebels to raise money now, it’s commonly said, is to grow a beard.....

.....When I met Abdul in March this year, already he was wary of the Free Syrian Army. “You should hear the stories people (coming over the border) tell me about the fighters,” he said one night in Antakya, an ancient little town close to the Turkish-Syrian border. He was volunteering then as an English teacher at a makeshift school for Syrian refugees, and in his spare time he worked with me as an interpreter, a job for which he refused to take money. “It’s for the cause,” he insisted.

Just a few months earlier, Abdul’s fiancée had died suddenly from brain cancer. It happened so quickly, he didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye. Now he was alone in Turkey, relying on his brother in the United States for financial support.

On his late fiancée’s urgings, Abdul had become a vegetarian, and, being an observant Muslim, he didn’t drink alcohol. His only vice, it seemed, was a deep affection for shisha smoking. But Abdul’s most striking attribute was his refusal of ideology, and his commitment to telling the truth. Interpreting for a group of Syrian activists who were clearly being dishonest, Abdul insisted that we report on it, even though it could mean trouble for him in Antakya (“Syria’s Propaganda War”, April 12). “It's your job to show the truth, no matter how ugly,” he said intently, exhaling sweet apple tobacco smoke. “People must know the truth."

Four months later, when Abdul heard that the Free Syrian Army had finally entered Aleppo, he says he “kind of freaked out”. At the front of his mind was the destruction of Homs, particularly the massacres that followed the Free Syrian Army’s retreat from Baba Amr in February. “I knew that wherever the FSA goes, destruction follows,” he says.

After several weeks of gruesome news reports and anxious phone calls, Abdul decided he had to see the war in Aleppo for himself. He arranged for his cousin, now fighting with Liwa al-Tawhid, to meet him at the border. Then he caught a flight from Beirut to Istanbul, and onwards to the Turkish-Syrian border. When the time came to cross over from Turkey into Syria, Abdul simply climbed through a hole in the fence........

Islamized UK's dilemma OR The Tempest of Muzzies OR The Midsummer's Nightmares

We are so tired of saying "we told you so"  right ?
The UK made it's bed with headchoppers, now let it die in it.  It won't be long now, the last gasps are building to a crescendo before going silent forever.  Let's just watch helplessly as the inevitable happens.

Tom Whitehead writing at TheTelegraph:
....In one conversation recorded by the police the group are discussing how to obtain weapons.

Naseer said that “out there in the market: “You can buy M16 you can buy AK.”
He added: “You can get grenades, you know grenades? Fifteen hundred pounds for one grenade.”
He said: “I’m trying to do that…take out loan.
“Get about 100 grand then you get four five AK’s ready.”

Yesterday, the jury heard how the group talked about getting guns from the “black geezers” and storming in to a synagogue and other places.

They also discussed killing 1,000 people by lacing hand cream with poison and smearing it on car and door handles.

Naseer, also known as Chubbs because of his size, said people would start dying within five minutes of coming in to contact with it when they went to work in the morning.

He said: "Make it and put it inside like, you know like Vaseline or cream like that, like Nivea cream and put it on people's cars.
"You know like the door handles on a whole, imagine putting it on whole like area innit overnight and when they come in the morning to work they start touching the, they open the door and then five minutes they die man, all of them start dying and that, kill about 1,000 people."

Naseer justified attacking non-believers because they have “sex like donkeys”, orgies and took drugs. He said: “They wanna you know have sex like donkeys on the street, they wanna club, act like animals and why shouldn’t we terrorise them, tell me that?”

Brian Altman QC, prosecuting, told the jury: “He is disdainful of Western values so why should he not terrorise them.”

Mr Altman said had the plot been permitted to run its course it “would have culminated in death and injury on a massive scale”.

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speechers ... Part Seven

Amil Amani

"Islam is a bad idea, and Muslims are guilty of living by it and promoting it."

"Keep in mind that Islam operates by stealth when not yet quiet powerful, just the way Muhammad himself operated. Then, gradually builds its power to the point that the soft approach no longer is necessary to subdue others and impose its will."

“To a jihadist, death is nothing more than casting off a shell of the worthless earthly existence and donning the suit for winging joyously to the life of bliss promised by none-other than Allah’s beloved final emissary, Muhammad."

"To my thinking, Islam is the problem because there are Muslims who take its holy book, the Quran, as gospel and carry out its divisive and deadly provisions. Without Muslims, Muhammad’s Quran would be just another historic relic sitting on library shelves, next to Hitler’s Mein Kampf, gathering dust and criminals of the world have to find other instruction manuals to guide their activities."

"The annual fall circus of the United Nations where heads of state or their high representatives flock to New York to address the General Assembly on matters of great import to the world community, often lives up to the appellation “circus.” "

"Eradication of jihadism is a daunting task, since Islam is truly a virulent persistent pandemic disease. Massive education efforts, combined with resolute confrontation of all sources and people that support and promote this deadly philosophy, hold the best promise of dealing effectively with this affliction of humanity.”

"Interestingly enough, Muslims lash out in savagery when the sanctity of their faith is affronted in the form of a cartoon, a video, a book, or an individual burning of a Quran. Yet, they feel free not only in insulting other peoples’ religions, but wreaking all kinds of horrific acts upon them.  Defaming, insulting, and desecrating others’ beliefs is in the fabric of Islam itself."

"Muslims do not have the right to engage in atrocities against others while demanding that no one in any form or shape offend their religious sensibilities."

"Terrorism has no external reality, without terrorists. For as long as there are people who cling no matter how loosely or tightly to Islam, humanity, including Muslims, stands to suffer the consequences. Yet, sadly, many Muslims refuse to recognize the fact that it is their sickly belief system that is at the core of leading them astray and inflicting great harm to all."

"It is imperative that we see reality and deal with it. No euphemism, no sugarcoating, no politically correct posturing. It is time to abandon all pretenses and place the blame where it belongs. It is the Mayhem and Murder Islam, Inc. that is breeding terrorists. Without Islam, there would be no Islamic terrorists."

The tricks of the Muslim Brotherhood

I hope Israel is not falling for this taqiyyah from Morsi and the  members of his brotherhood of evil.  This is an attempt by the conniving crooks to make Israel and the world think that the "brothers" at the top are very nice and reasonable folks and they desire friendship and  peace with Israel,  but ... hey look you can't really blame them for some bad apples like the kind found in any other organization and don't go generalizing the entire Muslim Brotherhood because of those few bad apples.  Israel .... I hope you are not swallowing this load of crap from the MB.

An Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood official resigned in protest against a cordial letter sent by Egypt’s President Mohammed Morsi to his Israeli counterpart, and urged Morsi to resign for his “treason” in sending it.

Ahmad Hamrawi, former secretary general of the lawyers’ association in Alexandria and a founder of Morsi’s Freedom and Justice party, left the Muslim Brotherhood following publication of the letter of credence sent by Morsi to his Israeli counterpart Shimon Peres on the occasion of the arrival of Egypt’s new ambassador to Israel, Atef Salem, on October 17.....

.....President Morsi has come under harsh criticism both in Egypt and in the Arab world following his letter to Peres, first published by The Times of Israel.</a>

Sarah Palin is not known to shuck and jive when Alinskyites try their tricks on her

She comes out fighting hard and makes no pretense of it.

Sarah Palin writing at FB:
....For the record,  there was nothing remotely racist in my use of the phrase "shuck and jive" – a phrase which many people have used, including Chris Matthews, Andrew Cuomo, and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney to name a few off the top of my head. In fact, Andrew Cuomo also used the phrase in reference to Barack Obama, and the fact that Mr. Cuomo and I used the phrase in relation to President Obama signifies nothing out of the ordinary. I would have used the exact same expression if I had been writing about President Carter, whose foreign policy rivaled Obama’s in its ineptitude, or about the Nixon administration, which was also famously rocked by a cover-up.

I’ve been known to use the phrase most often when chastising my daughter Piper to stop procrastinating and do her homework. As she is part Yup’ik Eskimo, I’m not sure if this term would be deemed offensive when it’s directed at her or if it would be considered benign as in the case of Chris Matthews’ use of it in reference to Rachel Maddow. Just to be careful, from now on I’ll avoid using it with Piper, and I would appreciate it if the media refrained from using words and phrases like igloo, Eskimo Pie, and “when hell freezes over,” as they might be considered offensive by my extended Alaska Native family.

The outrageously outraged reaction to this expression from perennial hypocrites like Chris Matthews has only made me laugh. Mr. Matthews, let me share with you my favorite Irish toast: “May we always be happy, and may our enemies always know it.

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speechers ... Part Six

Ayaan Hirsi Ali

"Not a day passes, in Europe and elsewhere, when radical imams aren't preaching hatred in their mosques. They call Jews and Christians inferior, and we say they're just exercising their freedom of speech. When will the Europeans realize that the Islamists don't allow their critics the same right? After the West prostrates itself, they'll be more than happy to say that Allah has made the infidels spineless."

"...the West pursued the principle of turning first one cheek, then the other. In fact, it's already a tradition.
We are constantly apologizing, and we don't notice how much abuse we're taking. Meanwhile, the other side doesn't give an inch."

"There should be solidarity. The cartoons should be displayed everywhere. After all, the Arabs can't boycott goods from every country. They're far too dependent on imports. And Scandinavian companies should be compensated for their losses. Freedom of speech should at least be worth that much to us."

"How can you address problems if you're not even allowed to clearly define them? Like the fact that Muslim women at home are kept locked up, are raped and are married off against their will -- and that in a country in which our far too passive intellectuals are so proud of their freedom!"

"The doctrine stating that the faith is inalterable because the Koran was dictated by God must be replaced. Muslims must realize that it was human beings who wrote the holy scriptures. After all, most Christians don't believe in hell, in the angels or in the earth having been created in six days. They now see these things as symbolic stories, but they still remain true to their faith."

"If you looked into the condition of women in Muslim communities you found an intractable problem, one which liberals and multiculturalists refused to address. I call it the paradox of the left. On the one hand they support ideals of equality and emancipation, but in this case they do nothing about it; they even facilitate the oppression."

"I am not against migration. It is simply pragmatic to restrict migration, while at the same time encouraging integration and fighting discrimination. I support the idea of the free movement of goods, people, money and jobs in Europe. But that will only work if universal human rights are also adopted by the newcomers. And if they are not, then you run the risk of losing what you have here, and what other people want when they come here, which is freedom."

Will Obama take Trump's offer and produce some more fake documents?

We know that there is a thriving industry in the White House based on lies and falsehoods .... so don't be surprised if a set of documents is ready and have been kept ready for a while now wondering when that particular fake set  would need to be tested by  just someone like Trump who knows how to stir a muddied pot and  bring it to a boil.   All forensic investigators stand ready to go the full Monty.

John Nolte writing at Breibart:
Trump's offer to Obama: Release your college and passport records, I'll donate five million dollars to the charity of your choice:....

....The immediate reaction from almost all corners -- right and left and media -- was scorn, hate, and ridicule. Fine, you might not like Trump's methods, but what exactly is wrong with asking a sitting president to be transparent about his background as an adult -- especially a president the media refused to vet in 2008?
Laugh at Trump all you want, but just a few months ago we saw the media go absolutely insane over a poorly sourced story involving a teenage Romney cutting a kid's hair a half-century ago. Just today, the anti-gay BuzzFeed Politics wrote a piece about Mitt Romney's tan. As I write this, the media's absolutely panting over whatever The Chicago Machine's allies in the form Gloria Allred and the "Boston Globe" are cooking up.

But I'd like to know why Obama would go against his redistributionist nature and choose to deprive a charity of his choice from receiving a cool $5 million from The Top One Percent. Reportedly, Obama's spent millions to keep these records secret, so there's no question he'll refuse Trump's offer. And that's what keeps me from caving to pressure that insists I jump on the Trump-Is-A-Laughingstock bandwagon.....

....Now we know that keeping whatever's in those records secret is more important to Obama than a charity receiving $5 million. Moreover, voters everywhere have now been reminded of this fact.
Laugh it up, but in my book that's a good thing.

Blacks lie again and again ... killing credibility a multiple times

Black America will do anything and everything to ensure that Obama keeps destroying the country for yet another 4 years.  Sheesh !!!  Undoubtedly, the biggest racists in America are to be found among African Americans.  I am telling you here and now .... expect the streets of America where there are  huge concentrations of  African-American hoodlums  .... to start riots and protests on the pretext that their idol has   lost the election, but in reality to destroy and loot the stores in the streets.  If the owners of the stores lining the streets where riots are expected, have any sense, they will take precautionary measures and safeguard their goods or store them away and replace everything with bags of potato chips,  extra large bottles of  pop, lots of baggy pants, toy guns and new-looking junked TV sets. Let the looters go away happy.

.... Forensic evidence indicates that a 20-year woman  suffering from extensive burns set herself on fire then invented a story about being doused in flammable liquid by three men who she said also wrote the initials KKK and a racial slur on her car, state police said Tuesday.

On Sunday at 8 p.m., Sharmeka Moffitt called 911 from a walking trail in Winnsboro and told authorities she had been doused in flammable liquid by three men wearing white hoodies. She suffered extensive burns on more than half her body and was taken to LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport for treatment.....

The logic behind lefties making their bed with Muslim maniacs: "my enemy’s enemy is my friend"

Meet one the Left's lovable teddy bears, Sheik Raed Saleh

Alan Johnson writing at TheTelegraph:
....The extremist Islamist Sheik Raed Saleh  has been at it again. Watch this hate-filled rant  from the leader of the Islamic Movement in Israel, broadcast on Al-Jazeera on September 21......

.....Astonishingly, when Saleh won his appeal against deportation from the UK earlier this year, many on the liberal-Left celebrated. Jeremy Corbyn MP called a press conference and proclaimed: "He is far from a dangerous man. He is a very honoured citizen, he represents his people extremely well, and his is a voice that must be heard." Corbyn added a personal message: "I look forward to giving you tea on the terrace because you deserve it!"

As CIF Watch noted, the Guardian "produced a plethora of articles, all eerily similar in their support for Salah and his British patrons and in the whitewashing of who Salah is". Sarah Colborne, director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) defended Saleh, saying "before coming to Britain, he faced horrific allegations of anti-Semitism, which he completely refuted". Mehdi Hasan, then Political Editor of The New Statesman, prettified Salah as "the Palestinian leader of the largest civil society body in Israel," and argued the hostile media treatment of Salah was an example of the media's “lazy and simplistic coverage (demonisation?) of Muslims.”.....

......In 2007 Saleh gave a speech in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Wadi Joz which peddled the medieval blood libel (the anti-Semitic myth that Jews bake their Matzo bread with the blood of Gentile children):
We have never allowed ourselves to knead [the dough for] the bread that breaks the fast in the holy month of Ramadan with children’s blood. Whoever wants a more thorough explanation, let him ask what used to happen to some children in Europe, whose blood was mixed in with the dough of the [Jewish] holy bread.
Given all this, why did parts of the liberal-Left support Saleh? Mostly, it was case of "my enemy’s enemy is my friend" – a corrosive political logic that has been eating away at the soul of the Left for many decades now.....

The Questions to Ask brain-dead Lefties if you want them to self-combust

Somalian Al Qaeda threatens the Islamized United Kingdom

Haven't they got the memo about the now Shariah-ruled  UK?  Why threaten  another Muslim country?  Oh wait,  yeah... the muzzies do that all the time. The UK adopting Shariah laws and converting to Islam won't save them from other muzzie countries.  However, let's give them a big hand for trying.

Mike Pflanz writing from Mogadishu for TheTelegraph:
....Somalia's al-Qaeda-allied Islamists have threatened   to "eclipse the horrors of 7/7" with an attack on Britain in revenge for the extradition of the radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza to the United States.

A High Court ruling overturning attempts to stop the Egyptian-born imam being sent to the US was “a testament to the reality of the west’s vicious war against Islam and the Muslims”, al-Shabaab said.

For this, the group said on its official Twitter feed, Britain faced another terror attack that would be deadlier than those on July 7 and July 21, 2005.
“Britain will pay the heftiest price for its brazen role in the war against Islam and endless brutality against innocent Muslims,” al-Shabaab’s press office tweeted on Monday.
“We remind the British government that we’re a nation that doesn’t tolerate oppression [and] their actions will be repaid in retaliatory measure.....

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speechers ... Part Four

Robert Redeker

"The exaltation of violence; a merciless war chief, plunderer, slaughterer of Jews and a polygamist, such is the man revealed through the Koran."

"Turning to Mahomet, by contradiction, reinforces hate and violence. Jesus is a master of love, Mahomet is a master of hatred."

"The stoning of Satan, each year at Mecca, is not just a superstitious phenomenon. It not only sets the scene for a rabble flirting with barbarity. Its scope is anthropological. Here in effect is a rite, which each Muslim is invited to submit himself to, emphasizing violence as a sacred duty in the heart of the believer. This stoning, annually accompanied with deaths by trampling of the faithful, sometimes in several hundreds, is a ritual which nurtures archaic violence. Instead of getting rid of this archaic violence... Islam builds a nest for this violence, where it can grow in the warmth."

" Islam is a religion which, even in its sacred text, as well as in its banal rites, exalts violence and hate... Hate and violence inhabit the book with which each Muslim is educated, the Koran."

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speechers ... Part Three

This is only the first collection of several more I have collected from the writings of the  Great   Dr. Thomas Sowell:

"If there is ever a Hall of Fame for confidence men, Charles Ponzi and Bernie Madoff will have to take a back seat to Barack Obama. Obama is the gold standard — or, perhaps more appropriately, the brass standard."

"No individual and no generation has had enough personal experience to ignore the vast experience of the human race that is called history. Yet most of our schools and colleges today pay little attention to history. And many of our current policies repeat mistakes that were made, time and again, in the past with disastrous results."

"Those who disdain wealth as a worthy goal for an individual or a society seem not to realize that wealth is the only thing that can prevent poverty."

"Even squirrels know enough to store nuts, so that they will have something to eat when food gets scarce. But the welfare state has spawned a whole class of people who spend everything they get when times are good, and look to others to provide for their food and other basic needs when times turn bad."

"Racism is not dead, but it is on life support — kept alive by politicians, race hustlers and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as "racists." "

"With vastly expanded powers of government available at the discretion of politicians and bureaucrats, private individuals and organizations can be forced into accepting the imposition of powers that were never granted to the government by the Constitution."

"If you believe that the end justifies the means, then you don't believe in constitutional government."

"Those who cannot see beyond the immediate events to the issues of arbitrary power — vs. the rule of law and the preservation of freedom — are the "useful idiots" of our time. But useful to whom?"

"Immigrants who come here from around the world with every desire and intention to become Americans may be hi-jacked by those activists who are ideologically committed to keeping them speaking foreign languages, loyal to foreign values and -- if possible -- taught to feel historic grievances against the country that is welcoming them today."

On Affirmative Action:
"People differ - and have for centuries.... Any 'temporary' policy whose duration is defined by the goal of achieving something that has never been achieved before, anywhere in the world, could more fittingly be characterized as eternal."

On the Clintons during the Monica scandal:
"No one who really cares about this country wants to see it torn apart by the impeachment of any president. By the same token, no one who cares about humanity really wants to see a war, but we have had to fight wars to protect ourselves and our country.
Today, it is considered clever to shrug at abuses of power and say, "Everybody does it." Because of the struggles and sacrifices of generations who went before us, everybody in America does not do it.
But history shows that everybody will do it if you let them get away with it."

"The vocabulary of the political left is fascinating. For example, it is considered to be "materialistic" and "greedy" to want to keep what you have earned. But it is "idealistic" to want to take away what someone else has earned and spend it for your own political benefit or to feel good about yourself."

"The pretense of having solutions can be more dangerous than the problem. Yet there are whole armies of shrinks and social workers, whose jobs depend on pretending that they have answers, even when no one has answers."

On Obama's policies in 2010:
"In our times, American democracy is being dismantled, piece by piece, before our very eyes by the current administration in Washington, and few people seem to be concerned about it.
The president's poll numbers are going down because increasing numbers of people disagree with particular policies of his, but the damage being done to the fundamental structure of this nation goes far beyond particular counterproductive policies.
Just where in the Constitution of the United States does it say that a president has the authority to extract vast sums of money from a private enterprise and distribute it as he sees fit to whomever he deems worthy of compensation? Nowhere."

"There seems to be something "liberating" about ignorance — especially when you don't even know enough to realize how little you know."

"The great ideological divide is between those who believe that theories should be adjusted to reality and those who believe that reality must be adjusted to fit their theories. Many of the horrors of the 20th century were created by the latter. And such people are still with us, in many movements."

"If you don't like growing older, don't worry about it. You may not be growing older much longer."

All the above are obtained from various articles of  Dr.Sowell here.  Each and every article written by Dr.Sowell is thought-provoking.

Democrats' premature ejaculation in Arizona

and anywhere else where they are neither hard nor aroused.  CBS should be taken to task for the lapse.  This is not a small matter that should  go unnoticed or unchallenged.  If the Left  can spend days on "women in binders",  the Republicans should show how they too can play that game....and WIN.

Gov.Sarah Palin writing at her Facebook page:
Isn't it a little premature to call the race for Obama two weeks before the election? It looks like a CBS News affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona did just that last Friday for 17 seconds when they flashed a graphic showing Obama beating Romney with 99% of the precincts reporting. CBS needs to explain this. But whatever their explanation, let's make this their "Dewey Defeats Truman" moment. Please remember to tune in to the important debate tonight. The momentum for this election is not with Obama, regardless of what some in the media might want to think.

Robert Roselle ... Ceramics Sculptor

The building that houses the Torpedo Factory Art Center   in Alexandria, VA. was actually a torpedo making factory. After WWII the factory was bought  by the City of Alexandria and converted to a gallery space for local artists.   This three level building has more than 70 studios housing approximately 170 artists.  You are not only able to see their works you can spy them working on others too. The place is full of artists  working on their paintings, sculptures, jewellery making, glasswork .... you name the kind of art you have a penchant for, and you are likely to find at least an artist or two working in  exactly that medium within the walls of the Torpedo Factory.

Kia and myself, although we spent most of our  vacation in Washington D.C. itself, we did find the time to stay a couple of days in Alexandria and other spots in Virginia.  There are lots of interesting places to see in Virginia ... one thing we missed doing was visiting the Luray Caverns in the Shenandoah Valley.  There we would have seen the best artist of them all, Nature.

The Torpedo Factory artists not only display their art and work in the studios right there in front of you, many of them are also open to interviews  and will answer whatever  questions you may have about their art and the pieces they have for sale and display.

Some of the artists here stand out for the uniqueness of their work.  Kia has a keen eye for exceptionalism and by all accords, according to her,  Robert Roselle's technique is unique, outer worldly and beautiful.  She had a conversation with the sculptor himself and got him to pose with some of his works (see pic 1).  She also bought  a small ceramic artwork from the artist, something that didn't punch a hole in  her budget (See pic 2).

Robert Roselle works with coils of stoneware and ceramic clay to create his works of wonder.  At first glance most of  his pieces look like just decorative pottery or free standing vases.  On closer inspection you will see a hole or two to peek through.  And that's when the wonder begins.  Inside the insipid looking vases you will find amazing fantasy worlds.  Some have people standing inside looking into peepholes just like you are doing.  Some have figures looking into a sky full of twinkling stars.  Peeping into each of his pieces was like seeing different worlds.

Roselle told Kia that he is influenced by Greek and African art.  I believe he has never given an exhibition in Washington DC, which is a shame as the artistic world at large  has missed discovering him.  However, he has been invited to impart his  unique technique in China  India, New Zealand and South Korea and has travelled to those places and others teaching this marvellous technique to other artists.

Quotable quotes from the wonderful world of free speakers .... Part Two

Frank Miller

“What people are not dealing with is the fact that we’re going up against a culture that finds it acceptable to do things that the rest of the world left behind with the barbarians in the 6th century, I’m a little tired of people worrying about being polite. We are fighting in the face of fascists.”

"We're constantly told all cultures are equal, and every belief system is as good as the next. And generally that America was to be known for its flaws rather than its virtues. When you think about what Americans accomplished, building these amazing cities, and all the good its done in the world, it's kind of disheartening to hear so much hatred of America, not just from abroad, but internally... For some reason, nobody seems to be talking about who we're up against, and the sixth century barbarism that they actually represent. These people saw people's heads off. They enslave women, they genitally mutilate their daughters, they do not behave by any cultural norms that are sensible to us. I'm speaking into a microphone that never could have been a product of their culture, and I'm living in a city where three thousand of my neighbors were killed by thieves of airplanes they never could have built."

“These terrorists are worse than any villain I can come up with, and I think it’s ridiculous that people in entertainment are not showing what we are up against here…. This is pure propaganda, a throwback, there’s no bones about it.”

"Everybody’s been too damn polite about this nonsense:
The “Occupy” movement, whether displaying itself on Wall Street or in the streets of Oakland (which has, with unspeakable cowardice, embraced it) is anything but an exercise of our blessed First Amendment. “Occupy” is nothing but a pack of louts, thieves, and rapists, an unruly mob, fed by Woodstock-era nostalgia and putrid false righteousness. These clowns can do nothing but harm America."

“Occupy” is nothing short of a clumsy, poorly-expressed attempt at anarchy, to the extent that the “movement” – HAH! Some “movement”, except if the word “bowel” is attached – is anything more than an ugly fashion statement by a bunch of iPhone, iPad wielding spoiled brats who should stop getting in the way of working people and find jobs for themselves.
This is no popular uprising. This is garbage. And goodness knows they’re spewing their garbage – both politically and physically – every which way they can find.
Wake up, pond scum. America is at war against a ruthless enemy.
Maybe, between bouts of self-pity and all the other tasty tidbits of narcissism you’ve been served up in your sheltered, comfy little worlds, you’ve heard terms like al-Qaeda and Islamicism."

"When I draw my comics, I ritually look over my scribbled pencils to find whatever is irrelevant to the moment, the story, and, as precious and pretty as it might be, I kill it.
Let the eye rest upon, and let it savor, what counts. And never forget the reader’s aptitude for that all-important process of closure.
Closure is a term you learn in art school. It is the teasing of the viewer’s eye to complete the image you not-so-entirely present. You, the storyteller, leave your piece of work deliberately incomplete, so that the viewer becomes an active, creative participant, finishing the job and thereby enjoying it all the more.
Whether it be a cut between movie scenes or a white gutter between comic-book panels, our audience, as always, does the lion’s share of the work for us."

The Debt

Can't go wrong watching a movie with Helen Mirren in the cast.  This one is a remake of an Israeli movie.  Jessica Chastain does a good job as the young Helen Mirren's character.  Worth watching.

Roundup of recent muzzie mayhem

Must be lots more, but me so tired, so tired of reading about muslim freaks.  Mind you, most of the stuff below happened within the last 24 hours.

Beirut, Lebanon:
Bomb exploded    (some reports say "car-bomb" some say  otherwise) near Sassine Square, a mostly Christian area of Beirut, killing 8 and injuring almost 80.  The target seem to have been a top honcho from the Internal Security intelligence services, http://qifanabki.com/2012/10/19/who-is-wissam-al-hassan/  Brigadier-General Wissam al-Hassan who was killed in the bombing.

Bahrain  (PR firms are making big bucks by bribing most of the MSM to downplay such incidents in the Sunni-ruled nations)
... A Bahraini policeman   was killed and another critically injured in a bomb attack while on patrol south of the capital Manama, security officials said on Friday, in further unrest plaguing the Gulf Arab kingdom and close U.S. ally.
Bahrain, where the U.S. Fifth Fleet is based as a bulwark against Iran, has been volatile since majority Shi'ite Muslims began protests last year initially crushed by the Sunni Muslim monarchy, using martial law and help from Gulf neighbors.
Smaller scale demonstrations have since resumed and anti-government protesters clash with security forces several times every week in the small island country.....

Nigeria:
....Nigerian pirates have attacked   a cargo vessel, kidnapping six Russians and one Estonian. Another nine crew members were left on Liberty 249, which has safely docked at the Nigerian port of Onne, its final destination.
The attack occurred on Monday near the Niger Delta, but it only became known on Wednesday.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed that Russian nationals were among the seized crewmembers.  Russian and Estonian diplomats assured they are now taking all the necessary measures to hasten the release and secure the safety of the kidnapped sailors.
Nigeria Special Forces are working in cooperation with both Russia and Estonia to find the crewmembers, as their whereabouts are unknown.
Some reports have speculated that a group of pirates with hostages left Nigeria after the attack. ...

Mali:
UN planning intervention     after muzzies do    exactly what   their   hateful      book    of lies
command them they must   do to be good muzzie scum.

Turkey:
Turkey's army fired on Syria    on Friday after two shells launched from Syria landed in Turkish territory, Turkish state broadcaster TRT reported, underlining how tension between the two neighbors remains dangerously high.
TRT did not specify where the incident occurred and no further details were available. There were no reports of any casualties resulting from the exchange of fire.

Syria:
.... Lightly-armed Syrian rebels who face the warplanes,  artillery and tanks of loyalists have turned to making their own weapons, in some cases even using video game controllers to fire them.
The ragtag forces fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad's regime face shortages of almost everything, including ammunition, but they especially lack longer-range, heavier arms, and anti-aircraft weapons.
At a location in Aleppo province that rebels asked not be identified by name, arms-maker Abu al-Fadhel showed off a row of homemade weapons including a hand-grenade, a portable rocket-launcher, and various rockets with explosive warheads he said have ranges of up to several kilometres (miles).
He said that as the range of the rockets is known, they can be aimed with the help of Google Maps and a compass.

Saudi Arabia:
This much is beyond dispute:  Khalid al-Labad is dead.
Labad, 26, and two teenage relatives were fatally shot by police Sept. 26 as they sat in plastic chairs on the narrow sidewalk in front of their house in this broken-down little town in the far east of Saudi Arabia.
To police, Labad was a violent “menace” wanted for shooting two police officers, killing another man and attacking a police station. To human rights advocates, he was a peaceful protester silenced by the government for demanding equal rights for the country’s oppressed Shiite Muslim minority.....

Qatar:
Qatar is taking a key legal initiative to draft a law banning the insult
of any religion and hopes to eventually see it being converted into an international law with help from the UN.
The Ministry of Justice is taking an initiative to prepare the draft of the proposed law that seeks to ban the insult of religions, the Minister of Justice, H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim announced here yesterday on the sidelines of a seminar.
The draft of the proposed law entitled ‘Qatar’s model law to stop the insult of religions’ is to be prepared by the justice ministry in collaboration with the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS).

Somalia:
A large consignment of arms destined for suspected   Islamist militants in north-eastern Somalia has been seized, a regional governor has told the BBC.
Abdisamad Gallan said a boat said to have come from Yemen delivered sealed sacks full of land mines and artillery.
Correspondents say this is one of the biggest seizures of al-Shabab weapons.
The discovery was made after a tip-off from residents in Qandala, a coastal town in the semi-autonomous region of Puntland, Mr Gallan said.
The al-Shabab group says it wants to strengthen its presence in Puntland.

Yemen:
Al Qaeda killed 16 soldiers in an attack  on an army base in south Yemen on Friday, medical and military sources said, in a further show of strength by Islamist militants despite a U.S. campaign of drone strikes to neutralize them.
Militants tightened their hold on parts of Yemen during an uprising that ousted veteran president Ali Abdullah Saleh in February, raising concern for the security of top oil exporter Saudi Arabia next door and nearby shipping lanes.
Violence has intensified in the past few weeks with Washington stepping up drone, or pilotless aircraft, operations and militants carrying out retaliatory attacks on state and military targets.

Libya:
Local media and twitter reports suggest the Libyan army has begun bombarding the former Gaddafi stronghold of Bani Walid in an attempt to restore order in the town.
The fighting erupted earlier this week after militias allied to the Libyan army reportedly shelled the hilltop town.
The violence comes after the kidnap, shooting and torture in Bani Walid of, Omran Ben Shaaban, credited with capturing Gaddafi last year. Shaban died of his injuries last month while undergoing treatment in Paris. It is widely believed he was killed by Gaddafi loyalists.....

Tunisia:
According to Constituent Assembly members,    a controversial article has been moved from the section on rights and liberties to the preamble of Tunisia’s draft constitution. Nicknamed “the blasphemy law,” the article was proposed by ruling political party Ennahdha and prohibits “insults, profanity, derision, and representation of God and Mohammed.”.....

Egypt:
Another MB islamist with the tell-tale black mark on his forehead joins Morsi's  govt.  No hope of any kind of democracy for Egypt.
....Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi's Freedom and Justice Party elected former parliament chief Saad al-Katatni on Friday to replace Morsi, who stepped down on taking over the presidency.
Katatni, who headed the Islamist-dominated parliament dissolved shortly before Morsi's election in June, beat his rival Essam al-Erian with roughly 67% of the vote by party delegates.
Erian was the acting head of the party, founded by the influential Muslim Brotherhood movement, after Morsi stepped down on having been elected the country's president....
