Savage Nation: The MH17 cover-up

This is from a few days ago.  There must have been more developments on the issue. I wanted to keep this as a reminder that a nation (United Kingdom) that is so  much against Russia is where the black boxes have been sent for analysis.  Where is the Malaysian govt. in all this?  Is there a representative keeping tabs on the team looking at the black boxes?  Is that rep honest or can he be bribed?

From Florida with Jihad in Syria .... the story of just one of several American jihadis

And, with the stuff going on currently in Gaza,  you can take what I have to say, deposit it in the nearest bank and make a damn good profit in the near future:
There will be plenty more like him .... and not all of them will blow up outside America.  Wait and see.
Crimes as seen being committed in Gaza by the might of the Israeli army are bound to turn even the most mildest of Palestinians into hate machines.

I see many tweets from Israeli hawks on Twitter  trying to compare Gazans dead to the bigger numbers dead in Syria in just so many days, and stating that only anti-Semitism is the cause for the outcry against Israel. It's comparing apples to oranges, but when have Israel's supporters stopped to think twice? Do they ever look in the mirror and wonder why there are just as many critics of  Israeli policies as there are of Islam's disgusting norms and deeds?

The thing to remember is that the Syrian govt is battling jihadis who place car bombs in crowded places and drive trucks laden with bombs into not only military bases but also market areas. The civilian deaths in Syria are more to do with jihadis battling it out with each other than to do only with Assad.  Moreover, in Gaza, the blasted Israeli govt. is blasting away at Gazans who are restricted to a tiny little area and not to areas like in Syria which are a 100 times larger than Gaza ... the most tiniest battlegrounds of Syria would be at least 50 times the size of Gaza.  To learn more about the Syrian situation, which is far more complex than the genocidal massacre going on in Gaza, Joshua Landis blog often has good coverage.

Peter Bergen writing at CNN:
The all-American al Qaeda suicide bomber

Seconds before he detonated the massive truck bomb that killed him and a number of Syrian soldiers two months ago, Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha radioed other fighters in al Qaeda to say, "I see paradise and I can smell paradise."
That in itself may not be unusual. But what should focus our attention is the identity of the bomber -- he was an American.

The son of a Palestinian father and an Italian-American mother, Abu-Salha grew up in Vero Beach, Florida, where he played high school football.
Abu-Salha, who was 22, is the first American suicide bomber known to have died in Syria.
On Monday, an al Qaeda-affiliated group in Syria released a half-hour videotape in which Abu-Salha explained his rationale for the impending suicide mission.
The video is an important window into the worldview of a Western recruit to al Qaeda drawn to the Syrian civil war, which is now in it fourth year. And the video also helps illuminate the recruitment techniques that the group has used to draw Westerners to the conflict, estimated to now number around 2,000.

n the video, Abu-Salha is shown tearing up his American passport and then the passport is set on fire. Next he is shown wearing a green camouflage vest and holding an AK-47 rifle delivering a diatribe to the camera directly.
Speaking in a strong American accent, Abu-Salha explicitly appeals to fellow militants in the States and the United Kingdom, saying that coming to fight with al Qaeda was so simple that he arrived in Syria "with only $20 in my pocket." Abu-Salha explained that "Allah made it easy for me" as he traveled from the States to Turkey and from there crossed over into neighboring Syria.............

Channel 4 UK is the only Western world's TV channel showing any humanity whatsoever ....

for the victims of Israel's atrocities committed on a people as collective punishment for having voted  the terrorist group Hamas to power.  I hope Channel 4 does not have those endless Jewish billionaire shareholders,  otherwise Channel 4 will be toast before we can say 1-2-3.  That's a fact and we all know it. Denial is in Egypt along with the new and approved dictator of that country.

Thom Walker at Channel4:
The first thing I noticed was a tug at my arm. I looked down to see a young girl in a blue top smiling up at me, writes Channel 4 News Producer Thom Walker.
We had come to the Al-Shate refugee camp in central Gaza City, to film where an Israeli strike had hit the Al-Sosi mosque a couple of days ago, destroying it, and collapsing one of the minarets. The tower had fallen right across the street, taking with it the whole face of an apartment block opposite.............

Ron Paul: "End torture, shut down the CIA"

The evil powers-that-be kept Ron Paul from becoming the prez of the USA.  The world would have had far less wars if he had won and our world would be a much better place if people like him were leaders of the Western nations.  It's sad that his son Rand Paul has fallen far from the tree....way over the fence into the neighbour's yard.

The article below has given rise to a lot of controversy, both for and against.  I have included one of the many discussions posted to YouTube.

Ron Paul writing at Peace and Prosperity Institute:
Remember back in April, 2007, when then-CIA director George Tenet appeared on 60 Minutes, angrily telling the program host, “we don’t torture people”? Remember a few months later, in October, President George W. Bush saying, “this government does not torture people”? We knew then it was not true because we had already seen the photos of Iraqis tortured at Abu Ghraib prison four years earlier.

Still the US administration denied that torture was torture, preferring to call it “enhanced interrogation” and claiming that it had disrupted so many terrorist plots. Of course, we later found out that the CIA had not only lied about the torture of large numbers of people after 9/11, but it had vastly exaggerated any valuable information that came from such practices.

However secret rendition of prisoners to other places was ongoing.

The US not only tortured people in its own custody, however. Last week the European Court of Human Rights found that the US government transferred individuals to secret detention centers in Poland (and likely elsewhere) where they were tortured away from public scrutiny. The government of Poland was ordered to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages to two victims for doing nothing to stop their torture on Polish soil.

How tragic that Poland, where the Nazis constructed the Auschwitz concentration camp in which so many innocents were tortured and murdered, would acquiesce to hosting secret torture facilities. The idea that such brutality would be permitted on Polish soil just 70 years after the Nazi occupation should remind us of how dangerous and disingenuous governments continue to be.

This is the first time the European court has connected any EU country to US torture practices. The Obama administration refuses to admit that such facilities existed and instead claims that any such “enhanced interrogation” programs were shut down by 2009. We can only hope this is true, but we should be wary of government promises. After all, they promised us all along that they were not using torture, and we might have never known had photographs and other information not been leaked to the press.

There are more reasons to be wary of this administration’s claims about rejecting torture and upholding human rights. The president has openly justified killing American citizens without charge or trial and he has done so on at least three occasions. There is not much of a gap between torture and extrajudicial murder when it comes to human rights abuses.

Meanwhile, former CIA director George Tenet and other senior current and former CIA officials are said to be frantically attempting to prepare a response to a planned release of an unclassified version of a 6,500 page Senate Intelligence Committee study on the torture practices of that agency. The CIA was already caught tapping into the computers of Senate investigators last year, looking to see what information might be contained in the report. Those who have seen the report have commented that it details far more brutal CIA practices than have been revealed to this point.

Revelations of US secret torture sites overseas and a new Senate investigation revealing widespread horrific CIA torture practices should finally lead to the abolishment of this agency. Far from keeping us safer, CIA covert actions across the globe have led to destruction of countries and societies and unprecedented resentment toward the United States. For our own safety, end the CIA!

VIPS for Sanity's Memorandum to President Obama

The Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity group wants the President of the United States to show evidence of Russia's culpability in the downing of the MH17 instead of painting Russia black. However, their memorandum must have been thrown in the waste basket just like all the common sense that might have ever existed in the White House.

Everybody is in a frenzy of activity preparing for World War 3, no number of memos and pleas for peace will change that.

Below, just a few extracts from the memo sent to the White House.

From WashingtonBlog:
American Intelligence Officers Who Battled the Soviet Union  for Decades Slam the Flimsy “Intelligence” Against Russia

MEMORANDUM FOR: The President
FROM: Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS)
SUBJECT: Intelligence on Shoot-Down of Malaysian Plane

Executive Summary
U.S.–Russian intensions are building in a precarious way over Ukraine, and we are far from certain that your advisers fully appreciate the danger of escalation. The New York Times and other media outlets are treating sensitive issues in dispute as flat-fact, taking their cue from U.S. government sources.

Twelve days after the shoot-down of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17, your administration still has issued no coordinated intelligence assessment summarizing what evidence exists to determine who was responsible – much less to convincingly support repeated claims that the plane was downed by a Russian-supplied missile in the hands of Ukrainian separatists......

...........Painting Russia Black
We see an eerie resemblance to an earlier exercise in U.S. “public diplomacy” from which valuable lessons can be learned by those more interested in the truth than in exploiting tragic incidents for propaganda advantage. We refer to the behavior of the Reagan administration in the immediate aftermath of the shoot-down of Korean Airlines Flight 007 over Siberia on August 30, 1983. We sketch out below a short summary of that tragic affair, since we suspect you have not been adequately briefed on it. The parallels will be obvious to you.

An advantage of our long tenure as intelligence officers is that we remember what we have witnessed first hand; seldom do we forget key events in which we played an analyst or other role. To put it another way, most of us “know exactly where we were” when a Soviet fighter aircraft shot down Korean Airlines passenger flight 007 over Siberia on August 30, 1983, over 30 years ago. At the time, we were intelligence officers on “active duty.” You were 21; many of those around you today were still younger.

Thus, it seems possible that you may be learning how the KAL007 affair went down, so to speak, for the first time; that you may now become more aware of the serious implications for U.S.-Russian relations regarding how the downing of Flight 17 goes down; and that you will come to see merit in preventing ties with Moscow from falling into a state of complete disrepair. In our view, the strategic danger here dwarfs all other considerations.

Hours after the tragic shoot-down on Aug. 30, 1983, the Reagan administration used its very accomplished propaganda machine to twist the available intelligence on Soviet culpability for the killing of all 269 people aboard KAL007. The airliner was shot down after it strayed hundreds of miles off course and penetrated Russia’s airspace over sensitive military facilities in Kamchatka and Sakhalin Island. The Soviet pilot tried to signal the plane to land, but the KAL pilots did not respond to the repeated warnings. Amid confusion about the plane’s identity – a U.S. spy plane had been in the vicinity hours earlier – Soviet ground control ordered the pilot to fire.

The Soviets soon realized they had made a horrendous mistake. U.S. intelligence also knew from sensitive intercepts that the tragedy had resulted from a blunder, not from a willful act of murder (much as on July 3, 1988, the USS Vincennes shot down an Iranian civilian airliner over the Persian Gulf, killing 290 people, an act which President Ronald Reagan dismissively explained as an “understandable accident”).

To make the very blackest case against Moscow for shooting down the KAL airliner, the Reagan administration suppressed exculpatory evidence from U.S. electronic intercepts. Washington’s mantra became “Moscow’s deliberate downing of a civilian passenger plane.” Newsweek ran a cover emblazoned with the headline “Murder in the Sky.” (Apparently, not much has changed; Time’s cover this week features “Cold War II” and “Putin’s dangerous game.” The cover story by Simon Shuster, “In Russia, Crime Without Punishment,” would merit an A-plus in William Randolph Hearst’s course “Yellow Journalism 101.”)

When KAL007 was shot down, Alvin A. Snyder, director of the U.S. Information Agency’s television and film division, was enlisted in a concerted effort to “heap as much abuse on the Soviet Union as possible,” as Snyder writes in his 1995 book, “Warriors of Disinformation.”

He and his colleagues also earned an A-plus for bringing the “mainstream media” along. For example, ABC’s Ted Koppel noted with patriotic pride, “This has been one .......

What the Devil told his son about rulers on Earth

The song was supposedly written by Irving Berlin in 1914.  I found it at the War Is A Crime blog.

Stay Down Here Where You Belong

Down below
Down below
Sat the Devil talking to his son
Who wanted to go
Up above
Up above
He cried, "It's getting too warm for me down here and so
I'm going up on Earth where I can have a little fun”.
The Devil simply shook his head and answered his son:
Stay down here where you belong
The folks who live above you don't know right from wrong.
To please their kings they've all gone out to war
And not a one of them knows what he's fighting for.
Way up above they say that I'm a Devil and I'm bad
Kings up there are bigger devils than your dad.
They're breaking the hearts of mothers
Making butchers out of brothers
You'll find more hell up there than there is
down below.
Kings up there
They don't care
For the mothers who must stay at home
Their sorrows to bear
Stay at home
Don't you roam
Although it's warm down below,
you'll find it's warmer up there
If e'er you went up there, my son,
I know you'd be surprised
You'd find a lot of people are not civilized.

Is there really such a thing as an "honest Jew" .... maybe, maybe not...

because everything most of the Jewish people tell us is based on lies and deception.  Being the most capable people in manipulation (only the Saudis can better them, and that too only half the time) they are able to pull wool over our eyes every single time.

I haven't listened to the guy in the video as yet, but I plan to.

Countries with a conscience are recalling their ambassadors from Israel ....

and some are suspending all trade with the killers of infants and children. Bolivia and Venezuela, who had already cut their ties with Israel during the last massacre, also made their views known on this latest slaughter.

Brazil:
Brazil President Condemns Gaza 'Massacre'
Israel's military offensive in Gaza has been condemned as a "massacre" by Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff, adding to international pressure for an end to the bloodshed.
She branded the Israeli campaign against rocket-firing Hamas militants in the coastal enclave, which has left more than a thousand Palestinians dead, as "disproportionate", and backed the United Nations' call for an immediate ceasefire.
Her comments echo those of the foreign ministry, which led an Israel spokesman to dismiss Brazil as a "diplomatic dwarf" ......

Chile:
Another South American nation takes measures to protest the continued Israeli assault on Gaza.
As the Israeli assault on Gaza mounts, the Chilean Government announced that it is recalling its Ambassador in Tel Aviv, Jorge Montero for consultation.
In a release issued this afternoon, Santiago condemned "collective punishment against the Palestinian civilian population in Gaza", as well as what it cited as well as a lack of respect for "fundamental rules of international humanitarian law"....

Ecuador:
The Ecuadoran Ambassador has been recalled from Israel, citing the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza which began nearly two weeks ago, and has killed over 550 Palestinians.
South Africa considered a similar move last week, but stopped short after meeting of ejecting the Israeli ambassadors after meeting with Israeli officials.
On Friday, legislators in South Africa’s Parliament urged the President to cut diplomatic ties with Israel, making comparisons between Israel’s policies and those of the white South African government under apartheid.

Peru:
Peru has recalled its ambassador from Israel, and Israeli officials are none too pleased with the move. An official document was released to communicate that sentiment: “[The nation of] Israel expresses its disappointment at this decision by a friendly country, with whom we have shared more than a half century of good relations.”.....

El Salvador:
El Salvador becomes fifth Latin American country to recall Israel envoy.
El Salvador recalled its Israeli ambassador from Tel Aviv on Wednesday to protest the military operation in Gaza, making it the fifth Latin American country to do so....

Bolivia and Venezuela:
....On July 19, Venezuela's socialist government condemned Israel, saying it had “initiated a higher phase of its policy of genocide and extermination with the ground invasion of Palestinian territory, killing innocent men, women, girls and boys”.

The statement said: "Venezuela also rejects the cynical campaigns trying to condemn both parties equally, when it is clear you cannot morally compare occupied and massacred Palestine with the occupying state, Israel, which also possesses military superiority ...”
Bolivian President Evo Morales also condemned the Israeli invasion of Gaza, Press TV said on July 21, saying it was time to take action “to end the genocide that Israel is carrying out on Palestine”.
The anti-imperialist governments of Venezuela and Bolivia had already cut ties with Israel in response to its 2009 Operation Cast Lead attack on Gaza....

Yet more interesting stuff about MH17 ....

this time from Alex Jones' PrisonPlanet and InfoWars.

Ukraine's civil war death toll goes beyond 1000

It didn't suddenly happen to reach that number.  The conflict has been going on the last 3-4 months but most don't even know about it because our wonderful  MSM thought it best to keep us in the dark for ulterior motives.  If the media had been reporting world events as they should, perhaps the Malaysian MH17 pilots, when instructed by Ukraine air tower to deviate miles from usual route into conflict airspace, would have been suspicious about the request and made moves to save the craft and the passengers within.

From HumanRightsWatch:
Ukraine: Unguided Rockets Killing Civilians

....The use of indiscriminate rockets in populated areas violates international humanitarian law, or the laws of war, and may amount to war crimes....

....Both Ukrainian government and insurgent forces have recently used Grad rockets. Although Ukrainian government officials and the press service of the National Guard have denied using Grad rockets in Donetsk, a Human Rights Watch investigation on the ground strongly indicates that Ukrainian government forces were responsible for the attacks that occurred between July 12 and 21.

The four attacks took place close to the front line between insurgent and government forces. Impact craters on the ground and on buildings investigated by Human Rights Watch were characteristic of rocket attacks, not shelling. In all four cases, the angle and shape of the craters, and the fact that they were on the side of buildings facing the front line, strongly suggests that the rockets came from the direction of Ukrainian government forces or pro-Kiev armed groups. The attacks’ proximity to the front line also makes it unlikely, and in some cases impossible, that insurgent forces were responsible for the attacks. In two of the attacks, rockets hit on or near insurgent bases and checkpoints at the same time as they hit residential areas, indicating government forces were responsible.

.........Ukrainian government forces appear responsible for the attacks. All the rockets that had struck buildings hit walls facing southwest, indicating that the rockets came from there. Insurgent force personnel told Human Rights Watch that none of their troops were located farther southwest beyond the checkpoint 800 meters from the residential part of Maryinka, which, if true, would not have made it possible for them to have carried out the attack. A journalist who travelled to some of the villages southeast of Maryinka two days after the attack told Human Rights Watch that he saw no insurgent forces in that area at that time.

The journalist told Human Rights Watch that pro-Kiev forces in non-standard uniforms in Novomikhaylivka, a village southwest of Maryinka, had boasted to him the following day that they had a Grad rocket system and that they were firing on insurgent forces. The soldiers told the journalist that their aiming was accurate because they had scouts that helped them direct the fire.

A resident of Maryinka who fled to another village after the attack told Human Rights Watch that he saw Grad rockets being launched twice from a village farther southwest, which was under the control of Ukrainian forces on July 13.......

From RT
....Ukraine civil war death toll  1,100, over 3,500 wounded - UN
Some 1,129 people have been killed and nearly 3,500 wounded in eastern Ukraine since the start of the Kiev's military operation in April, according to UN estimates.....

....Due to ongoing violence in the area of the plane crash, investigation teams, including Dutch and Australian police, can't get to the scene.

On Sunday, at least 13 civilians and likely dozens more were killed by ongoing artillery strikes, as government troops closed in on militia positions around the city of Gorlovka.....

Gaza Christians too become fodder for Israeli missiles from hell

Oh ....  you thought Palestinians were all Hamas terrorists, eh? You thought everybody in Gaza were Muslims, eh?  Think again.  Just like how the powers-that-be controlling the USA and the world media, had kept the number of Christians dying in Syria at the hands of the "rebels" they armed and funded, so too they are now doing here with this genocide going on in Gaza.

Are Christians collaborating with Israel? Perhaps. Are Christians fighting alongside Hamas? Perhaps. I just want people to know that Gaza's population has a Christian population too, maybe small but it's still there.  From a pic below,  it looks like Mother Theresa's organization has its nuns trying to help the Christians in Gaza. The old woman in the pic is a relative of a Christian lady killed by Israeli bombardment.
The second pic shows the Holy Family Catholic church in Gaza City.

Mohammed Omer writing at MiddleEastEye:
Solidarity between the Christian minority and Muslim majority is growing in Gaza as both suffer under the Israeli offensive, with churches sheltering all religions and
prayers being offered up on all sides

- Without prior warning, an Israeli missile hit the house of the Ayyad family last Saturday.
The Ayyads, who are Christian, were the first family among the tiny minority in Gaza to be targeted since
the offensive began three weeks ago.
The Ayyad’s home was severely damaged.....
...Jalila Ayyad was known among the people of Gaza as a woman that had nothing to do with any militia
groups. “We are a Christian minority and have no links to Hamas or Fatah - we keep to ourselves and
avoid problems,” says Fouad Ayyad, Jalila’s nephew.
Fouad is also the name of the bereaved husband of Jalila Ayyad. Standing in a white T-shirt stained with
the blood of his wife and son - who was also seriously injured in the attack - he watches on as the
nephew is interviewed........

From News24:
 ....Dwindling Christian community

A relative, George Ayyad, agreed wholeheartedly. He dismissed the idea that Jalila's death would force more of the already dwindling Christian population out of Gaza.
"If we leave, that's exactly what the Israelis want. Anyway, where are we supposed to go? This is my homeland," he said.

"We Christians have been in Gaza for more than 1 000 years, and we're staying."

Her nephew Fuad was not so sure.
"Things like this make me want to just get out of here," he said.

Gaza's Christians have dwindled in number to around 1 500, most of them Greek Orthodox, out of a predominantly Sunni Muslim population of 1.7 million in the densely packed enclave.
The Christian community in Gaza City, like its counterparts elsewhere in the Middle East, has been shrinking because of both conflict and unemployment.
The ancient Mediterranean seafront city once had a thriving Christian community, especially under British-mandated Palestine that ended in 1948 with the creation of the Jewish state.
Jalila's coffin was carried into the small church cemetery, which was itself hit by an Israeli shell earlier in the week, and lowered into the ground........

UN school in Gaza bombed again by Israeli butchers, but wait... in less than 1-2-3 the partners-in-genocide will come out screaming that Hamas was hiding behind the kids ....

because, dontcha know their beloved Israel can do no wrong.  Can't believe these Israeli Jews are descendants of Jews who were treated the same way they are now treating Palestinians. Disgusting!
Very soon, one can expect to hear tall tales from the Israeli supporters both in the MSM and the blogosphere that "a reliable source at the UN confirms that rockets discovered which were hidden in classrooms under the desks and the make-shift beds, some were stored even in the bottoms of the legless Palestinians" .... or maybe something like this: "UN source admits Hamas was operating from their UN schools"

From NYTimes:
Israeli Shells Said to Hit School in Gaza, Killing at Least 20
The strikes came in rapid succession. At around 5 a.m. Wednesday at a United Nations school at the Jabaliya refugee camp, where 3,300 Palestinians had taken refuge from the fierce fighting in their Gaza neighborhoods, what appeared to be four Israeli artillery shells hit the compound.
One hit the street in front of the entrance, according to several witnesses. Two others hit classrooms where people were sleeping.
Palestinian health officials said at least 20 people were killed by what witnesses and United Nations officials said was the latest in a series of strikes on United Nations facilities that are supposed to be safe zones in the 23-day-old battle against Hamas and other militants.....

From AP via CBCNews:
Gaza conflict: At least 15 dead after tank shells hit UN school
90 others were wounded in second strike to hit UN-run school since campaign began
Israeli tank shells slammed into a crowded UN school sheltering Gazans displaced by fighting on Wednesday, killing at least 15 and wounding 90 after tearing through the walls of two classrooms, a spokesman for a UN aid agency and a health official said.........

Good, decent people always try to stop wars .... one of them is Paul Craig Roberts

Only blood thirsty vampires rising from their rotting coffins,  think the opposite, because blood, human blood is their life-line.  It is not appeasement and cowardice that makes people anti-war,  it is the total revulsion of seeing human beings turning themselves into digusting ghouls when they start instigating and encouraging other humans far away from their own country's shores to  tear and bite into human flesh and transform walkways and streets into conduits for the constant flow of human blood.

Paul Craig Roberts at his blog:
War Is Coming
The extraordinary propaganda being conducted against Russia by the US and UK governments and Ministries of Propaganda, a.k.a., the “Western media,” have the purpose of driving the world to war that no one can win. European governments need to rouse themselves from insouciance, because Europe will be the first to be vaporized due to the US missile bases that Europe hosts to guarantee its “security.”

As reported by Tyler Durden of Zero Hedge, the Russian response to the extra-legal ruling of a corrupt court in the Netherlands, which had no jurisdiction over the case on which it ruled, awarding $50 billion dollars from the Russian government to shareholders of Yukos, a corrupt entity that was looting Russia and evading taxes, is telling. Asked what Russia would do about the ruling, an advisor to President Putin replied, “There is a war coming in Europe.” Do you really think this ruling matters?”

The West has ganged up on Russia, because the West is totally corrupt. The wealth of the elites is based not only on looting weaker countries whose leaders can be purchased (read John Perkins’ Confessions of an Economic Hit Man for instruction on how the looting works), but also on looting their own citizens. The American elites excel at looting their fellow citizens and have wiped out most of the US middle class in the new 21st century.

In contrast, Russia has emerged from tyranny and from a government based on lies, while the US and UK submerge into tyranny shielded by lies. Western elites desire to loot Russia, a juicy prize, and there stands Putin in the way. The solution is to get rid of him like they got rid of President Yanukovich in Ukraine.

The looting elites and the neoconservative hegemonists have the same goal: make Russia a vassal state. This goal unites the Western financial imperialists with the political imperialists.

I have recorded for readers the propaganda that is used in order to demonize Putin and Russia. But even I was stunned by the astounding and vicious lies in the UK publication The Economist on July 26. The cover is Putin’s face in a spider web, and, you guessed it, the cover story is “A Web of Lies.”

You need to read this propaganda both in order to see the gutter level of propaganda in the West and the obvious drive to war with Russia. There is no evidence whatsoever in the story to support The Economist’s wild accusations and demand for the end of Western “appeasement” of Russia and the harshest possible action against Putin.

The kind of reckless lies and transparent propaganda that comprises The Economist’s story has no other purpose than to drive the world to war.

The Western elites and governments are not merely totally corrupt, they are insane. As I have previously written, don’t expect to live much longer. In this video one of Putin’s advisors and Russian journalists speak openly of US plans for a first strike on Russia:.......

According to BBC journalist, refugee camp for Syrians in Jordan is "fertile ground for small businesses"

This is what the Western countries have done to the Syrian people .... made them into refugees living the life of beggars.  And, for what?  For trying to oust Assad who is considered to be a BFF of Iran and thus gets himself and his country  in the bad books of Israel and hence in the bad books of the Israel-controlled USA and her allies?

Do you really think Syrians are so stupid that they don't realize who, what, why of it all? There will be many who will say it's Assad's fault, knowing fully well that, that's what the Western journalists want their response to be when asked the cause of the trouble in Syria, but they know, they know what's known to us all even if many want to deny it. They will never forgive those responsible for their present state .... just like the Palestinians.  I don't blame them.

The chutzpah of the BBC journalist is something else and shows it all in the heading of the article. These refugees are people who escaped the ongoing civil war, they have been uprooted from their lives, livelihood, homes, family, environment and daily routine and plonked into a refugee camp of a bordering country and yet Dale Gavlak thinks "Zaatari Syrian refugee camp fertile ground for small businesses"   .... maybe a fertile ground to bury their sad bodies in, not a fertile ground for the peace and sanity of their minds, not  a fertile ground for the upbringing of children,  not a fertile ground for any lasting happiness.

Dale Gavlak writing at BBC:
Zaatari Syrian refugee camp fertile ground for small businesses.

Wheelchair-bound Mohamed Harib does not let his infirmity get in the way of a chance for business.

He has joined hundreds of compatriots setting up shops in Zaatari camp, Jordan's largest facility for Syrian refugees.
"I opened the shop to try to support my family because there are eight of us here," Mr Harib said of his tiny mobile phone stall sandwiched along Zaatari's bustling main drag, nicknamed the Champs-Elysees, after the famous Parisian street - a wink at Syrian humour.....

........The United Nations official in charge of Zaatari, Kilian Kleinschmidt, attributes the refugees' background as "traditionally traders, smugglers" to the camp's rapid evolution into an informal city in just two years.
Although sprawling and slum-like, the lively camp boasts of home-grown barber shops, wedding rentals, vegetable stalls and even a travel agency and pizza delivery service.......

........Aid officials say Zaatari has also spurred new ways humanitarians assist Syrian refugees in Jordan by seeking creative, sometimes private enterprise solutions.
Jordan hosts some 600,000 Syrian refugees registered with the UN, but authorities says their numbers could top one million......

......One of those innovations has allowed private supermarket chains, such as Safeway, to set up shop in Zaatari to try to give Syrian refugees more freedom of food choice.
The refugees use UN-issued debit cards, provided gratis from a Jordanian bank, containing their monthly food allowance to pay for their groceries both inside and outside the camp.
The debit cards will eventually be linked with the refugees' biometric data and could be soon used to buy medicine, clothing, and cooking gas refills.
"It's the first time ever in the world that this will be done in the retail environment," said Jonathan Campbell.........

World War 3 .... here we come, nukes and all

Watch the vid to the end and see if you can catch anything amiss with what the IMF woman says. It's to do with numbers. I will update this post 24 hrs from now to give the answer.
Hint: She made the statement in January 2014.

Update July 30.   Did you get it?  In January 2014 Russia was still in the G8  .... it didn't become G7 until months later.  How did she know that there would be one less in the G8 to make it G7 unless everything that has happened since late last year was mapped out by the evil ones. Even the scandal of the ex-IMF head is to be questioned.  Did he really rape the maid? Was that all orchestrated so this woman would take his place and do the bidding of the evil ones?  This is pure conspiracy stuff.... but being far above such nonsense we are better off not believing it, right?

Syrian child: "There is no love left in Syria"

Evil has taken over, dear children of the Middle East.

The documentary by Lyse Doucet should be out on YouTube any day now.  I wasn't able to grab it from the BBC website as it has been restricted for viewing outside the UK.

Sam Wollaston writing at TheGuardian:
Lyse Doucet's film   showed the tragedy and horror of traumatised and pessimistic children mixed up in conflict. But hard as it was to watch, they deserve our attention
You might think the timing of Children of Syria (BBC2) is unfortunate, given that the world's focus right now is on the children of another conflict, a little to the south. Not a bit of it. This simply further rams home the terrible, terrible sadness of children caught up in conflict. A "war on childhood", Lyse Doucet, the BBC's chief international correspondent, calls the war in Syria, though she might easily be talking about Gaza too.

It's not an easy watch. Doucet's commentary is weighed down with tragedy and horror, an artillery barrage of gloom, every line delivered as if trying to outdo the last in the misery stakes. "Hope and innocence has been lost … How does a child begin to understand when they see their parents bent over by the sheer exhaustion of simply surviving another day … The bodies of two children are brought out in sacks … their brother was mortally wounded, their mother decapitated."

There simply is no good news. Even a rare glimmer of niceness and normality is relative and tarnished. "Just over the sound of the children's laughter, there's the constant sound of artillery, gunfire, explosions in the distance," says Doucet. Boom, boom, boom.

Its devastation is cinematic and beautifully shot, if it is not too wrong to talk of beauty here. Besieged Yarmouk, in Damascus, and Homs look like something between Hiroshima and a kind of Mad Max dystopia. They are not places you'd want to see in the real world, not in the 21st century, anyway. Only the pigeons – swooping about the minarets, free to fly where they please and unaware that peace on the ground here ended four years ago – look happy.

But of course, it's the children themselves who linger longest in the mind. The darting eyes of Kifah, 13, betray the trauma he has experienced. His face collapses as he tells Doucet: "There is no bread." At which point, the journalist turns comforter, reaching out to put a hand on the boy's shoulder. Later, she holds the wrist of a mother who is losing all hope, and tenderly, if a bit awkwardly, strokes her hand.

Another little girl with sad eyes tells her about eating a cat, and about knowing the names of weapons instead of learning to read and write. And 11-year-old Daad talks of her nightmares. "I hate the future so much," she says. No 11-year-old should hate the future.

Robbed of their education, their childhood, innocence and optimism, they've had to grow up too fast and now speak way beyond their years. "A child has the right to learn and to play," says Daad. "Families have a right to a home, to learn, eat and drink. There is no love left in Syria."

"I'm only a child in age and appearance but in terms of morals and humanity, I'm not," says Ezadine, one of 1.5 million displaced kids, at a container camp just over the Turkish border. "In the past, a 12-year-old was considered young; now at 12 years old you must go for jihad." Ezadine is 10.

It's not just an early pessimistic wisdom these kids have acquired. They have learned to hate, and to spout the propaganda and deep-rooted prejudices of their parents. It's hard to see much hope when a 10-year-old is talking of jihad, and of burying the enemy in mass graves, with the blessing of his father...........

We know about "Takiyyah" from the Arabic but how about "Hasbara" from the Hebrew?

Both peoples know how to wring the maximum benefit from those tools.

Noam Sheizaf writing at +972Mag:
Hasbara: Why does the world fail to understand us? A short discussion of the Israeli term used to describe the ongoing, ever-growing, national propaganda effort.

I have used the word “Hasbara” pretty freely recently, and so do more and more people, without stopping to explain what it actually means. The use of this term has been widespread in Israeli Hebrew for many years now, usually with a positive meaning, though not always in a positive context – there is a never-ending debate on “the failure of Hasabra” – yet I often wonder how many people outside Israel actually know it, let alone understand what it stands for. So here are a few words on Hasbara.

Hasbara is a form of propaganda aimed at an international audience, primarily, but not exclusively, in western countries. It is meant to influence the conversation in a way that positively portrays Israeli political moves and policies, including actions undertaken by Israel in the past. Often, Hasbara efforts includes a negative portrayal of the Arabs and especially of Palestinians.

The Hebrew meaning of the word Hasbara (הסברה) is “explanation” (the term “propaganda” has a different word in Hebrew – תעמולה). I believe that the popular use of this term also reflects a widespread public notion that a better effort of explaining Israel’s actions to the world will generate better understandings of Israel’s policies, and more international support. A less common use of the verb “to explain” (להסביר), which has to do with welcoming someone, was used in the past by the Tourism Ministry in campaigns urging Israelis to show a hospitable approach to tourists.

Hasbara represents only one side of propaganda, as it is mostly aimed at foreign .........

Too late the hero... New York Times decides to remove blanket thrown over news of civil war raging in the Ukraine which has been going on now for several months

If the various so called "reporters" and "journalists" and their paymasters the "newspapers" which are all controlled by just a few evil war profiteers, had not taken dictates from those evil ones to stay mum about the civil war in east Ukraine, Malaysian Airlines might have known that it was dangerous to fly over that airspace and the close to 300 lives lost  would be alive today.  I hope those blasted "reporters" and "journalists" from those so called "newspapers" who were supposed to inform the public but preferred instead to staple shut their mouths, know what they have done by their silence.

Sabrina Tavernise and Noah Sneider writing at NYTimes:
Enmity and Civilian Toll Rise in Ukraine While Attention Is Diverted.

One was a retired cook. Another installed alarms in cars. Another was a cleaner in a grocery store who had gone out to buy ground beef to make her son meatball soup.

With international attention focused on the tragedy of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, the deaths of these three civilians — some of the roughly 800 who have been killed in the battle over eastern Ukraine — have gone virtually unnoticed by the outside world.

The Ukrainian military’s advances to reclaim territory from rebel control have come at a steep human cost. According to a United Nations count released on Monday, 799 civilians have been killed since mid-April, when Ukraine began to battle insurgents here, and at least 2,155 have been wounded.....

The killings have left the population in eastern Ukraine embittered toward Ukraine’s pro-Western government, and are helping to spur recruitment for the pro-Russian militias. In time, even if the Ukrainian military routs the rebels and retakes the east, the civilian deaths are likely to leave deep resentments here, and could complicate reconciliation efforts for decades.

The rising toll of the conflict in eastern Ukraine — the first open hostilities in Europe in 15 years — is a direct consequence of the nature of the war here. Much of the fighting takes the form of low-tech airstrikes and artillery fired at a distance from aging weaponry, tactics that can inflict significant harm on civilians. (In comparison, 330 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed, the United Nations said. There are no estimates for rebels.)

In a report released on Thursday, Human Rights Watch documented four instances of the use of unguided Grad rockets, which killed at least 16 civilians in and around Donetsk in nine days. While both rebels and Ukrainian forces use the rockets — descendants of World War II-era weapons — the investigation “strongly indicates that Ukrainian government forces were responsible” for the four attacks.

“Using these kinds of weapons in populated areas is a violation of the laws of war,” said Ole Solvang, senior emergencies researcher at Human Rights Watch. “International allies of the Ukrainian government — the United States, the European Union — should condemn this use and urge the government to stop.”

Ukraine’s military strongly denies responsibility for any attacks that have caused civilian deaths. Vladislav Seleznyov, a military spokesman, did not comment on the report itself, but he said that soldiers were under orders not to harm civilians.

“We are prohibited from using artillery in residential areas,” he said. “Yes, we have these weapons,” he said, referring to Grads, “but we never use them in civilian areas. No way.”

But the military’s campaign against the rebels has increased the likelihood of civilian casualties given how deeply the rebels have embedded into the civilian population.

As Ukrainian troops inched toward Donetsk and Luhansk in recent weeks, two regional capitals with a combined population of 1.5 million, residents feared the worst, looking to what happened in Slovyansk, a small city to the north that the military took by pounding rebel positions and flattening the neighborhoods where the rebels were.

Those fears were soon realized. One of the main rebel bases in Luhansk is in a military recruitment office next to the main bus station, and it drew intense shelling, leaving power lines scattered like string over the shrapnel-torn pavement...........

Russia, the Christian country that the USA and her allies are panting to destroy

The disgusting hatred shown by the USA, Canada, Australia, UK and most of the EU towards a country that has not only successfully buried its communist past but has pulled its citizens to a stable and prosperous economy, is vomit-inducing.  It boggles the mind how brainwashed people are so ready to believe whatever their governments and the MSM puts out there for their consumption without thinking for themselves.  Why can't people ask just one simple question of themselves: "When have I found the government telling me the truth of anything?"

Got the vid below from the comments section at the  The Saker blog, a damn good blog if you want to know more about our world's various ongoing conflicts, rather than swallowing whole what  Big Brother and his minions' propaganda feeds you on a daily basis.

Is Israel to blame for the rise of Hamas? Yup!

Believe it!  Israel did with Hamas exactly what the USA did with al Qaeda. Strengthened them for their own devious purposes. And just like how al Qaeda turned on their paymasters, so did Hamas. Another case of  "chickens coming home to roost"  or as another saying goes "You reap what you sow."

Kevin Carson writing at C4SS:
Gaza: Israel’s Chickens Come Home to Roost. One fact that gets little attention in the debate over Israel’s attack on Gaza is Israel’s role in the rise of Hamas.

That’s right. Never mind that the rockets fired out of Gaza are amateurish things that could be crafted from hobby shop supplies, causing barely one percent as many casualties as Israeli reprisals. Never mind that the rockets — reprehensible as attacks on civilians are under any circumstances, regardless of Israel’s provocations — are fired by desperate people from inside Israel’s Warsaw-Ghetto-on-the-Mediterranean, out into the settler nation that drove them out of their homeland. Never mind that rocket firings have often occurred in response to unilateral Israeli violations of ceasefires.

Never mind all this. Hamas — which the Israeli state propaganda apparatus presents to the Israeli public and the world as an existential threat comparable to the Bugs in “Starship Troopers,” whipping the people of Israel into the kind of frenzy where they sit on hillsides cheering the bombing of hospitals — was actually created in part by the intelligence apparatus of the state that claims to be fighting a life-and-death war against it.

Anthony Cordesman, a strategic analyst of Middle Eastern security issues at Center for Strategic Studies, says Israel aided Hamas back in the ’70s as a counterweight to the PLO. An anonymous former CIA official concurs that Israel secretly supported Hamas as a religious challenger to a “strong, secular PLO.” The upsurge in popular support for Hamas in the ’80s — resulting in part from the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and in part from the PLO moving its headquarters to Beirut — caught the Israeli leadership off-guard.

Some allege that Israeli support for Hamas goes back even further, and that Shin Bet and the military occupation authorities supported the growth of the Muslim Brotherhood and foundation of Hamas in the ’60s. At the time Hamas was hostile to Palestinian nationalist organizations, and directed most of its violent energies against Fatah, PFLP and PLO forces in the Occupied Territories. (Sources: Richard Sale, “Analysis: Hamas history tied to Israel,” UPI, June 18, 2002; Robert Dreyfuss, “How Israel Backed Hamas,” Institute for Public Accuracy, July 22, 2014).

And unfortunately, some geniuses in the Israeli security state just preferred having a scary theocratic outfit like Hamas as the main face of the Palestinian enemy, rather than an organization calling for a secular Palestinian state where Arabs and Jews can live together in peace. Hamas makes a much better Goldstein in the Two-Minute Hate.

This is a disturbing pattern. Hamas was originally an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza (which had been quietly supported by the US in the 1950s as a religious challenge to Nasserism and Baathism). Al Qaeda emerged from the US-sponsored Mujaheddin guerrillas fighting Soviet occupation in Afghanistan. ISIS originated in similar US aid to anti-Assad rebels in Syria. And then these movements, created with the help of black-budget aid and training by the CIA, Green Berets or Mossad, are in turn used to scare the domestic public into supporting criminal wars abroad with large-scale atrocities against civilian populations......

Fire at Libya's fuel depot out of control

NATO must be so pleased for the hell it has unleashed on Libyans.
The fire at the fuel depot started with one storage tank, and by now must have spread to other tanks. Fearing a massive explosion, people in nearby areas have been told to evacuate.

From BBC:
A huge blaze engulfing Libya's biggest fuel storage facility in the capital, Tripoli, has spread to a second tank.

Libya's National Oil Company (NOC) has described the fire as "out of control".

It comes hours after the authorities appealed for international assistance to try to contain the blaze.

The government blames clashes between rival militias for starting the fire, which it says may cause a humanitarian and environmental disaster.

At least 97 people have been killed in fighting between rival militia groups battling for control of Tripoli's main airport in the past week.........

Infiltration of America by the Islamic Gulen Movement

As if we were not already having tonnes of trouble with Islamic hordes, here's another blasted Islamic group infiltrating into the West with even more charter schools all funded by the USA.

I am so totally fed up with all religions.  They are nothing but brainwashing instruments, much worse than the propaganda coming from Big Brother.  If these people have already set themselves up in the USA,  you can bet your bottom dollar, they are over here too in Canada.... funded with our tax dollars just like in the States.  Probably, Big Brother is grooming the Gulen Movement for use at a later date to divide further the other sects of Islam.  That's how all the mess starts. Think Taliban and Al Qaeda at the time of Russia in Afghanistan....and see what that has done to our present world.  What kind of psychopaths are walking the halls of power?

Joshua Cook writing at BenSwann:
FBI Whistleblower and Teacher Expose Islamic Gülen Movement Infiltrating U.S. Through Charter Schools.

What Is The Islamic Gülen Movement?

In rural Pennsylvania, a Turkish-born Muslim imam lives in self-imposed exile.

The imam, Fethullah Gülen, came to the United States in 1999 due to cited health problems and has stayed in the United States after gaining his visa with help from former CIA officials. The FBI previously resisted granting permanent residency status to Gülen. According to leaked cables, parts of the U.S. government believe that Gülen “is a ‘radical Islamist’ whose moderate message cloaks a more sinister and radical agenda.”

In an interview with 60 Minutes, Gülen followers claim that he does not control or have anything to do with the day-to-day dealings of the massive network of charter schools he helped found.

Gülen-inspired schools are the largest charter network in the U.S. and receive approximately $150 million a year in taxpayer money. There are about 130 of these charter schools in 26 states where the majority of the teachers are from Turkey, as well as many of the contracts for construction and operation have gone to Turkish businesses. Those actions have raised red flags for the U.S. government.

The schools themselves are considered high quality and are focused on STEM-based learning — something that proponents of the Gülen Movement claim is lacking in U.S. education.

According to 60 Minutes, in Turkey, Gülen schools are everywhere and considered the best. But recently Turkey passed a law to shut down Gulen schools, a main source of the movement’s revenue.

Why Are My Tax Dollars Funding an Islamic Movement?

In the United States, many of the Gülen schools have long waiting lists. But that comes at a price for our American teachers:

“Our tax dollars are paying for them to come over here and take our jobs,” said Mary Addi, a teacher. “They want to give you the impression that they’re just hard-working guys over here to try and educate our kids, because American teachers are just too stupid.”.....

BRICS heavyweight China, comes out batting for Russia

Good to see that .... especially when the Anglo world is set to bury Russians to kingdom come.
"First they came for Russians, then for the countries with heavy Russian-origin populations, then for the Chinese, then for Indians."
That could be a line in a future book on Earth's history.

Zachary Keck writing at TheDiplomat:
MH17: China Defends Russia, Criticizes the West
China’s state media has strongly condemned the Western response to MH17, and largely backed Russia.
After an initial degree of hesitancy, China’s state media has come out strongly in favor of Russia regarding the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight  MH17.

A number of editorials in Chinese state media in recent days have strongly condemned the Western response to the downing of MH17. The nationalistic Global Times, for instance, featured an editorial on Monday that ostensibly called for full disclosure from Russia, as well as an extensive and fair investigation led by either the United Nations or the International Civil Aviation Organization. Much of the editorial, however, was a scathing critique of Western efforts to implicate Russia in the attack.

”The West has fingered Russia as the main suspect in the tragedy. Under such circumstances, any hesitation on Russia’s part will provoke more blame from the West,” the Global Times editorial said. “If there is no result to the investigation, Russia will, by default, be named the perpetrator. Therefore, letting the facts of the case speak suits Russia’s interests.”

The Global Times’ editors continued:

“The Western rush to judge Russia is not based on evidence or logic. Russia had no motive to bring down MH17; doing so would only narrow its political and moral space to operate in the Ukrainian crisis. The tragedy has no political benefit for Ukrainian rebel forces, either.

“Russia has been back-footed, forced into a passive stance by Western reaction. It is yet another example of the power of Western opinion as a political tool.”

More generally, the GT editorial board opined: “The West has successfully put itself in a position to dictate ‘political correctness’ in international discourse. Those unwilling to work with Western interests will often find themselves in a tough position.”

An earlier Global Times editorial, which was published on its English-language website on Saturday, offered a more subtle defense of Russia. Similar to the position taken by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the GT’s Saturday editorial said that the ongoing fighting in Ukraine had caused the attack, indirectly implicating the Ukrainian government...........
