Quebec !!! The fight for secularism is also a fight against shariah

Quebec has always been at the forefront in fighting against shariah.  Frankly speaking, I don't have much against Muslim women wearing headscarves  because we still get to see their faces ... but in the case as reported below,  I fully agree with the judge.  The courtroom is a secular place and the symbol of a woman wearing a headscarf inside it would take the courtroom to the same level as a religious institution like a church or a mosque. Bottom line: Religion has no place in the courtroom.

"Private Military Companies" = all kind of killers for hire

Ever wondered about hired killers and what turns them into killing machines?  Why do we need to build drones and robots when we have these so called "human beings" who are easily and readily available via American, Canadian and British companies to go forth wherever and whenever to kill people all over the world?  What are the chances that many of the warmongers jumping around to start wars here, there, everywhere .... have a big piece of the pie in companies that have thousands of mercenaries on their payroll?   Wars are their bread and butter.  Coupled that with the armament making industry and you know the Earth is doomed to have everlasting wars.

Moreover,  the investors in these death and misery dealing companies don't  have to spend a single penny on training the robotic killers.  Most of them are ex-soldiers and hence make the "best" mercenaries.

Anyone wanna bet that a few years from now all those ISIS jihadis you see chopping off heads and burning people alive will become  prized mercenaries earning big bucks in the very same USA, British and Canadian "Private Military Companies" which are now probably involved in the fight against the jihadis?  You think that's simply not possible?  Wait and see!!

Sophie Shevardnadze's interview with an ex-mercenary turned prof and author is one of  her most interesting and informative ones I have seen so far. Vid and full transcript at link below.

From RT:
I thwarted an assassination attempt on President - ex-mercenary.

Mercenaries have always been there, where’s the bloodshed going on. The times when whole armies of mercenary troops, or even personal regiments were bought and sold seemed to be long gone. But now, they are called Private Military Companies, and their popularity among the governments rises, with the US leading the trend of shopping at the market of force. Are we witnessing the end of the age of national armies? And why mercenaries are in such high demand these days? We put these questions to Professor Sean McFate, who once was a private military contractor himself.

Sophie Shevardnadze: Professor Sean McFate, former private military contractor, now author, thank you for joining us in our show. Now, with the rise of mercenaries, private armies, contractors - are we heading towards a global market of conflict, or does it exist already?

Sean McFate: It’s been existing now for about 10 years, perhaps longer, but we’re definitely on the trajectory of having a more open and free market for force around the world after Iraq and Afghanistan.

SS: How so?

SMF: Well, the private military industry has always existed, but for the last couple of decades it’s mostly been underground with lone, sort of, mercenaries in Africa, in the wars of decolonization, but in 99s we started seeing a rise of it, with companies like “Executive Outcomes” in South Africa which was a truly mercenary corporation, and that the U.S. government hired a couple of companies in the Balkans, likeMPRI, in 1999s. But it wasn’t until Iraq and Afghanistan that the U.S. government really started to invest heavily in the private military industry, and now that the U.S. is winding down in Afghanistan, the question is - where will this multi-billion dollar industry go? They’re not going to sort of fold-up shop and go bankrupt as some policy makers in Washington hope; they’re going to look for future clients, and those clients could be anybody.

SS: We’ll take about it in detail, a little bit later on, but I want to talk about you - let’s take a look back. How did you become a private contractor? Was it for the money or for a thrill and hunger for war?

SMF: I started off as a U.S. army paratrooper, I was an officer and a paratrooper in 82nd AirborneDivision, and like many in the private military industry I got my start in the U.S. military, many serve other national armies or Marines, and then after that, I switched over, if you will, to the industry side. I worked for a company called DynCorp - it’s one of the largest private security companies in the world, and most of my work actually was in Africa. I was actually not in the Middle East. I did it out of curiosity - I mean, the money is a little better, but it’s not as good as some media reports have made it out to be over the years. The true interesting thing about the industry is that you get to be innovative, in ways that you cannot in the bureaucracies of large militaries. It also was curious to me how this industry operates. It’s a lot more pervasive around the world than most people think, they think it’s just Iraq, they think it’s just Afghanistan, it’s everywhere, this industry.

SS: But what was your most dangerous assignment? ..............

Car, motorcycle bombs injure 13 in Narathiwat
Car and motorcycle bombings in Narathiwat province on Friday injured 13 and damaged 20 buildings in Muang district.
A third bomb attempt failed when someone threw a dud grenade at a restaurant on the road leading to Yi-ngo district. It did not explode and ordnance-disposal officers collected and destroyed it.
The first explosion came from a pickup truck stuffed with explosives parked outside a restaurant on the main road near the Isuzu showroom intersection at 1.06pm, said Pol Lt Gen Anurut Kritsanakaraket, commander of the Southern Border Provinces Police Operation Centre.
They said the bomb was detonated by radio while the employees of the car company were out to launch. About 20 food shops and a karaoke bar were damaged by the powerful blast. Torn corrugated roofing, electrical wires, shattered glass and the charred shell of the car littered the street as police secured the area, according to an AFP witness.

The US Homeland Security Department   has said that it is not aware of any specific plot against US shopping malls, backing away from comments by the department's chief that he takes seriously a threat by Somali-based armed group al-Shabab against shopping sites in Western countries.

Some US and Canadian officials earlier on Sunday had cast doubt on the credibility of the threat made in a video attributed to al-Shabab, which appeared to call for attacks on Western shopping areas, specifically mentioning Mall of America in Minnesota, the West Edmonton Mall in Canada, London's Oxford Street and sites in Paris.
But Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said that "anytime a terrorist organisation calls for an attack on a specific place, we've got to take that seriously", and told shoppers to be careful without providing any more detail...............

Islamic State Bombers   Kill Dozens in Libyan Suicide Attacks
Islamic State militants unleashed suicide bombings Friday in eastern Libya, killing at least 40 people in what the group said was retaliation for Egyptian airstrikes against the extremists' aggressive new branch in North Africa.

The bombings in the town of Qubba, which is controlled by Libya's internationally recognized government, solidified concerns the extremist group has spread beyond the battlefields of Iraq and Syria and established a foothold less than 500 miles from the southern tip of Italy.

The militants have taken over at least two Libyan coastal cities on the Mediterranean — Sirte and Darna, which is about 30 kilometers (19 miles) from Qubba. They released a video Sunday that showed the beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians who were abducted in Sirte, and Egypt responded Monday with airstrikes on Darna.

The Islamic State group has established its presence in Libya by exploiting the country's breakdown since dictator Moammar Gadhafi was ousted and killed in 2011. Hundreds of militias have taken power since then, and some of them have militant ideologies. A militia coalition known as Libya Dawn has taken over Tripoli, where Islamists set up their own parliament and government. Islamic extremist militias controlled the second-largest city of Benghazi until late last year, when army troops began battling them for control.

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for Friday's suicide bombings in Qubba, but said there were only two attacks, while the government said there were three.
Army spokesman Mohammed Hegazi said one attacker rammed an explosives-packed ambulance into a gas station where motorists were lined up.
"Imagine a car packed with a large amount of explosives striking a gas station; the explosion was huge and many of the injured are in very bad shape while the victims' bodies were torn into pieces," Hegazi said.
Two other bombers detonated vehicles next to the house of the parliament speaker and the nearby security headquarters, he said..........

Ukraine shuts down border posts   with Russia
Ukraine has closed 23 checkpoints on the border with Russia as the Kremlin build up forces close to the strategic port city of Mariupol, situated between Russia and Crimea in Donetsk Oblast.
On Feb. 20, Ukraine's government issued a decree ordering the closure of one international, four interstate and 18 local border crossing points in Luhansk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts.
A total of 39 checkpoints will still operate on the border with Russia, the State Border Service said. Three are located in Chernihiv Oblast, 14 in Sumy Oblast, 15 in Kharkiv Oblast, six in Luhansk Oblast and one in Kyiv Oblast.
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers in Ukraine had already suspended crossings at 14 border posts (6 in Donetsk Oblast and 8 in Luhansk Oblast), due to a direct threat to the lives of those attempting to cross.
At that stage the border posts closed were Marynivka, Novoazovsk, Uspenka, Ilovaisk, Kvashyno, Donetsk, Dovzhansky, Chervona Mohyla, Izvaryne, Krasna Talivka, Yuhanivka, Herasymivka, Petrivka and Luhansk.........

Amid International Outcry,   Venezuelan Officials Allege Blackwater, U.S. and Canadian Links to Thwarted Coup
New revelations  in Venezuela have linked U.S. private security firm Blackwater, now known as Academi, to the aircraft that was to be used as part of Thursday's thwarted "Blue Coup" attempt.

The four-stage plan included economic war, an international media offensive against the Venezuelan government, political destabilization fomenting ungovernability, and finally the use of a Super Tucano aircraft to strike "tactical targets" in the capital, such as the Presidential Palace, teleSur, and military intelligence
The coup was planned for the one-year anniversary of violent opposition protests known as the Guarimba and was to come one day after a public statement by leading opposition leaders calling for a "transition". .......

Venezuelan Opposition Mayor,   Alias “The Vampire,” Arrested for Role in Blue Coup Plot
Venezuelan opposition Mayor and longtime rightwing politician, Antonio Ledezma, has been arrested by the country’s intelligence services, SEBIN, for his alleged role in plotting to stage a coup against the democratically elected government of Nicolas Maduro.
The planned coup was uncovered last week by security forces, just hours before several US backed Air Force officials had planned to partake in a bombing spree of strategic targets in the capital. They had hoped this would lead to the assassination of the country’s president and bring about regime change in the South American country. ......

CIA scales back presence   and operations in Yemen, home of potent al-Qaeda affiliate.
The closure of the U.S. Embassy in Yemen has forced the CIA to significantly scale back its counterterrorism presence in the country, according to current and former U.S. officials, who said the evacuation represents a major setback in operations against al-Qaeda’s most dangerous affiliate.

The spy agency has pulled dozens of operatives, analysts and other staffers from Yemen as part of a broader extraction of roughly 200 Americans who had been based at the embassy in Sanaa, officials said. Among those removed were senior officers who worked closely with Yemen’s intelligence and security services to target al-Qaeda operatives and disrupt terrorism plots often aimed at the United States.
The departures were triggered by mounting concerns over security in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, where Houthi rebels have effectively toppled the government. Britain and France said Wednesday that they also would close their embassies, as news footage showed Houthi fighters driving off in vehicles that U.S. diplomats had abandoned at an airport during their exodus.
The collapse of Yemen’s government had already disrupted some U.S. counterterrorism operations in Yemen. The closure of the U.S. mission compounds the challenges and “is extremely damaging” to the CIA’s mission in Yemen, said a former senior U.S. official involved in the effort. ........

Hezbollah and Syrian Army   Reinforcements Arrive in Northern Aleppo; Huge Gains in Al-Malaah
In a surprise counter-attack, the National Defense Forces (NDF) were given a boost from Hezbollah (Party of God) and Syrian Arab Army (SAA) reinforcements that succored the entrenched fighters at Al-Malaah to regain more than half of Mazra’a Al-Malaah after fierce clashes with the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda “Jabhat Al-Nusra” on Sunday.
North of Al-Malaah, Jabhat Al-Nusra attempted to infiltrate the NDF’s frontline defenses for the 2nd straight day at Bashkoy; however, they were unable to advance past the outskirts of the town, as they faced heavy resistance from both the NDF and the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF).
As a contingent from Jabhat Al-Nusra tried to infiltrate into Bashkoy, their comrades to the north continued their attack on the NDF defenses in Duweir Al-Zeitoun; it was repelled following a long day of fighting between the two parties and the SAAF’s persistent bombing of Jabhat Al-Nusra positions.

Syria: Turkish incursion is 'flagrant aggression'
Syrian government says Turkey informed Syria about operation in northern Syria but did not await its agreement.
The Syrian government has said that Turkey informed Syria ahead of a major overnight military incursion but did not await Syrian agreement to the action.

Turkish soldiers guarding the tomb of Suleyman Shah in Syria were successfully evacuated to Turkey in the military operation early on Saturday, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said.

Davutoglu said the remains of Suleyman Shah, grandfather of the founder of the Ottoman Empire, would be moved to a different area of Syria which has been brought under Turkish military control.
Syrian State TV described the incursion as "flagrant agression".

Venezuela officials say ex-general, 13 others in coup plot

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Venezuelan officials on Friday cheered the thwarting of what they said was a planned coup that involved a plot to blow up the presidential palace.

President Nicolas Maduro announced Thursday night that a retired air force general had been arrested and 13 other people were implicated in a plot to overthrow the South American country's 15 year-old socialist revolution.

"We have foiled a coup attempt against democracy and the stability of our homeland," Maduro said, speaking on the anniversary of the start of street protests that wracked the nation last year.

Recent posts on Twitter indicate that Islamic State (IS) supporters may be readying to carry out a rather curious demonstration in Saudi Arabia. The plan involves the purchase of helium balloons -- presumably painted black -- decorated with the IS logo to be released at 3 PM after Friday prayers in Mecca. Supporters are then to film a ten-second video of their balloon release, and share it on social media with the hashtag #RainInvasion.

Whilst the demonstration itself seems fairly innocuous, the significance lies in the fact that there seems to be increasing support for the IS in Saudi Arabia. A week ago, a video released by one of IS’ official media wings -- Al-Batar Media -- purportedly showed a drive-by shooting of a Danish citizen, Thomas Hopner, in Riyadh. The video, titled “The First Rain,” was allegedly carried out by the group’s newly launched “Saudi branch.”

The group’s leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has in numerous video and audio recordings, called for attacks against the Saudi regime. In a video released last month, Baghdadi declared a target list for attacks in Saudi Arabia, without mentioning the country by name because it is a name derived from the ruling tribe, the al-Saud, whose authority IS does not accept. Baghdadi referred to Saudi Arabia as the “head of the snake and stronghold of disease.” The topmost position on the target list was accorded to Shias in Saudi Arabia. The leader urged supporters to “draw their swords” to fight and to kill Shiites, using the pejorative, sectarian term “rafidhah” for the sect......

Houthis Take Control of Yemen Without Seizing Power.
The Houthis’ first step toward governing Yemen seems like a necessary option imposed on Ansarullah due to the failure of Yemeni parties, following days of intensive talks, to reach a solution to the political crisis and fill the power vacuum created by the resignation of the president and his government under external pressure.
After months of gaining ground throughout Yemen’s provinces, Ansarullah (the Houthis) has translated its progress into clear political gains. The Houthis have now taken control of the government, yet without assuming power themselves, and will oversee a two-year transitional phase through a “constitutional declaration.” The declaration was made in a large ceremony at the Yemeni presidential palace.
Many will no doubt describe what happened as a coup. However, events from the past few weeks show that the group’s activities are geared towards consolidating its new position in Yemen on the basis of partnership. The vacuum left by the resignation of the president and government put pressure on the Houthis, drawing it into the chaos, at a time when internal forces are preparing to engage in an armed conflict with the group.....

More Muslims needed in British Army,   urges military chief
More British Muslims should be recruited into the UK’s armed forces, one of Britain’s highest-ranking soldiers has said. Muslim Public Affairs Committee UK blamed the poor uptake on the community’s ‘demonization’ and Britain’s ‘unethical’ foreign policy.
General Sir Nicholas Carter, Chief of the General Staff, admitted that the number of ethnic minorities in the army was “nowhere near where it needs to be,” particularly in relation to religious minority groups such as Muslims.
Figures released by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) showed only 0.54 percent of regular soldiers identified as ‘Muslim’ – with many coming from commonwealth countries, rather the UK.
According to the figures, there are just 480 Muslims serving in the British Army, one of the lowest representations of a minority group across the forces.
Ethnic minorities are generally unrepresented, with non-white ethnic groups making up less than 10 percent of the British military – around 9,100 of the 88,500 troops in the regular forces.

“We have to do more. My highest priority is ensuring we continue to have the best possible talent throughout our army,” General Carter said. ........

Israel Murdered U.S. Sailors   and Tried to Sink Their Ship … A Failed False Flag Attack Against the United States

An Attempt to Drag America Into Israel’s War

On June 8, 1967, Israel attacked the American naval vessel USS Liberty in international waters, and tried to sink it.

After checking the Liberty out for 8 hours – and making 9 overflights with Israeli jets, within 200 feet … close enough for the pilots and the sunbathing Liberty sailors on deck to waive at each other.

Yet the Israelis attacked it with Mirage fighter jets, torpedoes and napalm.  The USS Liberty suffered 70% casualties, with 34 killed and 174 wounded.

The Israeli attack spanned two hours … as long as the attack on Pearl Harbor. The air attack alone lasted approximately 25 minutes: consisting of more than 30 sorties by approximately 12 separate planes using napalm, cannon, and rockets which left 821 holes in the ship.  The Israelis fired 30mm cannons and rockets into the boat.

Following the attack by fighter jets, three Israeli motor torpedo boats torpedoed the ship, causing a 40 x 40 foot wide hole in her hull, and machine-gunning firefighters and stretcher-bearers attempting to save their ship and crew. More than 3,000 machine-gun bullet holes were later counted on the Liberty’s hull.

After the attack was thought to have ended, three life rafts were lowered into the water to rescue the most seriously wounded. The Israeli torpedo boats returned and machine-gunned these life rafts at close range. This was followed by the approach of two large Israeli Army assault helicopters filled with armed commandos carrying what appeared to be explosive satchels (they departed after hovering over the ship for several minutes, making no attempt to communicate).

The Israelis clearly knew it was an American ship, tried to sink it, and tried to frame the Egyptians for the attack, as shown by the following evidence:

(1) The Liberty was flying a huge, brand new American flag. The flag was 5-by-8 feet.  The weather conditions were ideal to ensure the flag’s easy observance and identification, because it was clear and sunny, with a wind-speed which made for a constant rippling motion in the flag.  After the flag was shot up by the jets, the Liberty’s crew replaced it with a giant 7-by-13 foot American flag, which flew during the entire duration of the attack.

(2) The Liberty had a unique profile and didn’t look like any other boat, since it had more and bigger antennas – including large, high-tech dishes and giant towers – than any other boat in the world (it was an NSA spy ship).

(3) The Liberty was marked with uniquely American numbering and colors in front.

(4) The Israeli pilots shot out the Liberty’s communications equipment first, and specifically jammed the ship’s emergency radio signal … unique to American naval vessels in the 6th Fleet. The ships from other fleets and other nations used different frequencies, which the Israelis did not jam.

(5) The Israelis used unmarked fighter jets and unmarked torpedo boats during the attack.

(6) Recently-declassified radio transcripts between the Israeli attack forces and ground control show that – at least 3 times – an Israeli fighter jet pilot identified the craft as American, and asked whether ground control was sure he should attack.  Ground control repeatedly said, yes, attack the vessel.

(7) The Israeli torpedo boats methodically destroyed all of the Liberty’s liferafts one by one (which is a war crime).

(8) The only reason the Israelis did not successfully sink the Liberty and kill all of its crewmen was that one sailor duck-taped together antennae – and took many bullet wounds in the process – which enabled an emergency SOS to get out from the Liberty to American 6th Fleet.

(9) The Israelis later claimed that they mistook the Liberty for an Egyptian vessel.  But the Egyptian ship – the El Quseir – was an unarmed 1920s-era horse carrier out of service in Alexandria, four times smaller than the Liberty, which bore virtually no resemblance to the Liberty.

(10) President Lyndon Johnson believed the attack was intentional and he leaked his opinion to Newsweek.

Other high-level Americans agreed:

“I was never satisfied with the Israeli explanation….  Through diplomatic channels we refused to accept their explanations.  I didn’t believe them then, and I don’t believe them to this day.  The attack was outrageous.”
–U.S. Secretary of State Dean Rusk

Several UK MPs standing down from Parliament

In a just and fair world, many of the UK warmongers who allowed the USA's rabid wardogs to waltz them into the illegal war on Iraq would have had to face justice at The Hague.  Handing in their resignations is an easy way out for these criminals.

If Stephen Harper had been the Prime Minister at that time, instead of  Jean Chrétien,  he and his gang would have now been in the same shoes as these UK MPs.... because just as we know for a fact that the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West,  Harper would have committed Canada in the Iraqi fiasco which has given the world what we see today in that region.

As for the turmoil going on right now, I have a strong feeling that the events unfolding in the Ukraine plus the fact that Harper arrogantly stood behind despicable warlord Netanyahu in the butchering of Palestinians in Gaza, is going to spell  a harrowing defeat for Canada's Conservative party come the next election.

Furthermore, regardless of the excuses given for his resignation, John Baird, Minister of Foreign Affairs,  is lying through his teeth, through every one of them. At first I thought that maybe he had found his ideal mate and was getting married to a husband but then I thought ... nah ... it's because he has an inkling of  the consequences down the road  .... consequences for the butchery of Gazan children and the coup in the Ukraine, both in which he played a major role alongwith his beady eyed boss.

Today's world believes in diplomacy and not butchery. Politicians are supposed to be diplomats not warmongers and supporters of butchers.

From TelegraphUK:
Why I’m standing down  from Parliament: Jack Straw, MP for Blackburn
I still get shouted at on the tube and called a war criminal - but I have to take the responsibility of Iraq

The Telegraph is speaking to MPs who are standing down at the general election in May. Jack Straw, 68, was Labour MP for Blackburn 1979 – 2015.

ow did you end up in Parliament?

“Coming from a strong Labour family, [I got] the politics bug when I was 13 at the 1955 election, reading one of the leaflets I was having to deliver in the rain and thinking I’d rather be doing what the chap on the leaflet was doing, which was to become the Labour MP for what is now Epping Forest.

“It’s a bit like youngsters wanting to play soccer for England. Given my background, a council maisonette in Essex … the prospect I could go on from there to [Parliament] was really rather distant. But I really wanted to be a Member of Parliament. I had this romantic idea.” .....

Can you hear the silence from FoxNews, CNN, CBC, BBC ?

This is the reason why most reasonable people prefer prevention rather than the "cure" that hate-filled people resort to.

Can you hear the silence of the media?????!!!!

If only the immigration departments in the Western countries had laid down the rules well before Muslims migrated here with their traditional custom of women wearing black masks and headgear while men wearing white nightgowns ... which immediately identifies them as  Muslims,  sad and tragic incidents like the one below could  have been avoided.  These two vibrant young girls would have known that their head coverings are not welcomed in the Western society and they would have either opted to stay away from the Western educational system or they would have come anyway but refrained from continuing to wear their traditional outfits while in public.

I blame the Western politicians and especially the Immigration Departments for not spelling out precisely and clearly what was expected from all immigrants, whether they be Muslims or not.

Doug Stanglin writing at USAToday:
Chapel Hill 'rocked' by killings    of 3 Muslim students.
The mayor of Chapel Hill, N.C., said Wednesday that the college town has been "rocked" by the shooting deaths of three Muslim students that the father of two of the victims calls a "hate crime."

The fatal shootings have sparked condemnation from a national Muslim civil liberties group and triggered a Twitter uproar over allegations of anti-Muslim bias.

The victims, all shot in the head, were identified as Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23, and his wife, Yusor Mohammad, 21, of Chapel Hill, and Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19, of Raleigh, police said. The two female victims were sisters.

Barakat, a Syrian-American and a second-year dental student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Yusor Mohammad were married in late December.

Chapel Hill police release a 911 call from a witness who heard gunshots and screaming following the deaths of three Muslim students. Craig Stephen Hicks turned himself in to officials and has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder. .....

Is the MSM orchestrating WW3 ??

They want those ratings, remember?  It's a competition between the various ghouls at the MSM.  So, of course they are rooting for more and more bloodshed.  Human blood running in long neverending rivulets and body parts looking like charred blocks of wood, make for exciting news coverage.  Why stop to think that the instigators themselves or their loved ones might suffer the same fate as the present victims at the other side of the world?  The wars and suffering is meant for others over there, far, far away.  It can never reach us, right?

Cuckoo Canadian judge gives in to Stealth Jihad

People like me who complain about certain stuff which we see as wrong and dangerous, do so only because we believe that prevention is better than the cure and not because we hate people for their religion or traditions.

The dhimmi  judge in the case as detailed below has perhaps the same kind of mentality judges had in the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Sweden, The Netherlands and many other EU countries  just a few short years ago.  Look at what's happening in those countries now. Will the looming "cure" that's likely going to happen in those countries, will it  be better than the preventive measures if  they had been in place?

I hope the government will appeal the foolish ruling by a dhimmi nitwit judge and let's hope the case will reopen before a person with at least a modicum of intellect which was clearly lacking in this judge.

Another preventive measure would be to add one more sentence in the application form for prospective new immigrants. Something like making it mandatory that new immigrants will be arrested if they cover or mask their faces when in public places and that it is absolutely necessary for new immigrants to shown their faces to one and all at the swearing-in ceremonies. Failure to comply with this rule will result in deportation .... that should be made very, very clear.

From ChristianScienceMonitor via YahooNews:
A controversial Canadian ban on wearing face veils during citizenship swearing-in ceremonies tested the limits of restricting freedom of religion to promote “Canadian values.” On Friday, a judge ruled the government went too far.

The ban, introduced in 2011, was “unlawful” because it interfered with a citizenship judge’s legal obligation to ensure the “greatest possible freedom” is provided to people who are taking the oath of citizenship, a court determined.

The government said face veils, like the niqab - which covers the entire face except the eyes and is worn by some Muslim women - prohibited judges from verifying that citizenship candidates were actually reciting the oath. Its statements suggested this policy was also an attempt to force new citizens to assimilate to Canadian norms and adopt Canadian values, as the government defined them.

The ban was challenged by Zunera Ishaq, who comes from Pakistan and wears a niqab. She declined to go through with the citizenship oath in January 2014, saying she would be forced to violate her religious beliefs by removing it.

“[The] policy required her to unveil in public when there was truly no need, simply because the niqab did not please the [former Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney],” said Ms. Ishaq’s lawyer Naseem Mithoowani. “My client feels very strongly that this set a dangerous precedent and the Canadian government has no role in dictating to women what is, or is not, a morally acceptable dress code.”

The government rejected the possibility of holding separate ceremonies for niqab-donning women where they could unveil in front of a female judge only, saying this would promote inequality.

“Taking the oath of citizenship means embracing Canadian values and traditions while pledging allegiance to Canada,” the Citizenship and Immigration Ministry said in a statement. “While the government of Canada values the diversity that people of all origins bring to the country, it is reasonable to expect citizenship candidates attending a public civil ceremony to show their faces while reciting the oath.”.........

Jordan carries out a third day of airstrikes against Islamic State targets as it "avenges" the murder of a Jordanian pilot who was burned to death by the jihadist group. The kingdom launched airstrikes on Islamic State positions in Syria and Iraq on Thursday. On Saturday the government reported that "sorties of air force fighters bombed (Islamic State) bases".
A security official told Reuters that Jordan had conducted 60 raids over three days, mostly targeting the Syrian stronghold of Raqqa. They had hit targets including ammunition depots, training camps and a communications tower, the official said......

The jihadi scum reporting that an American female hostage has been killed in a coalition strike on a building where they were holding her, has not been confirmed by the USA.  It's not possible that only the hostage was killed in the bombing and by some miracle the jihadi scum occupying the same building managed to escape.   If she has indeed  been killed by the coalition bombing, then IMO, it's a blessing rather than to see her in a video being burned to death or beheaded.
From BBC
The extremist group   Islamic State is claiming that a female American hostage they were holding has been killed in a coalition air strike in Syria.
Images, which the BBC cannot confirm are authentic, have been posted online of what is purported to show the site of the strike in the city of Raqqa, an IS stronghold.
The hostage has been named as Kayla Jean Mueller. ....

....There are many who have raised doubts about Islamic State's claim that Kayla Mueller was killed in a coalition strike in Raqqa - in an attack in which none of its own fighters died, it says.
Jordan has increased its participation in the bombing of the militant stronghold since one of its pilots was shown being burned to death by IS militants, and officials in Jordan insist they will keep up the pressure.
Saying a Western hostage has been killed by Jordan is being seen by some as an attempt to take the wind out of the sails of this renewed Jordanian resolve to fight the militants......

Afghanistan .... no hope for this "democracy" venture too?

Is there no end to the failures of American foreign policy blunders?  The dying Empire's failures are also a reflection on the foreign policy failures of Canada, UK, Australia and other nations who are under the mistaken belief that their welfare and future depends on always jumping as high as possible when the puppet master Empire mumbles "jump."

Just for a moment here, reflect on how different today's world would have been if after the 9/11 attacks, the Empire had opted to  bomb and invade the country actually responsible for the attacks .... Saudi Arabia.  After a fair and sincere reflection, ask yourself if you were brainwashed at that time by the Bush/Chenney administration and whether it's time for you to free yourself  from those kind of strangleholds and stand by your own intelligence instead of being a slave to other people's agenda and motives.

Azam Ahmed writing at NYTimes:
Taliban Justice Gains Favor   as Official Afghan Courts Fail
Matiullah Khan and Muhammad Aywaz were each dug in, their property dispute in southern Afghanistan at an impasse.

Despite paying more than $1,000 apiece in lawyers’ fees, they found no resolution in the government’s judicial system. The tribal courts, informal networks of elders that most rural Afghans rely on, had also come up short.

So the two men did what a growing number of Afghans do these days when there is no other recourse: They turned to the Taliban. Within a few days, their problem was resolved — no bribes or fees necessary.

“He would have kept my house for himself if it wasn’t for the Taliban,” said Mr. Khan, a resident of Kandahar City who accused Mr. Aywaz of commandeering his home. “They were quick and fair.”

Frustrated by Western-inspired legal codes and a government court system widely seen as corrupt, many Afghans think that the militants’ quick and tradition-rooted rulings are their best hope for justice. In the Pakistani cities of Quetta and Chaman, havens for exiled Taliban figures, local residents describe long lines of Afghans waiting to see judges.

“You won’t find the same number of people in the Afghan courts as you do in the Taliban courts,” said Hajji Khudai Noor, a Kandahar resident who recently settled a land dispute through the Taliban in Quetta. “There are hundreds of people waiting for justice there.”

Western officials have long considered a fair and respected justice system to be central to quelling the insurgency, in an acknowledgment that the Taliban’s appeal had long been rooted in its use of traditional rural justice codes. But after the official end of the international military mission and more than a billion dollars in development aid to build up Afghanistan’s court system, it stands largely discredited and ridiculed by everyday Afghans. A common refrain, even in Kabul, is that to settle a dispute over your farm in court, you must first sell your chickens, your cows and your wife.

Countless training programs funded by Western allies for lawyers and judges have become bywords for waste. Laws suited to Western-style democracies have populated the books.

“The problem is we spent money on what we wanted to see, as opposed to thinking about what Afghans wanted to see,” said Noah Coburn, a political anthropologist at Bennington College.

Recognizing that informal tribal law would remain the choice for most Afghans, the United States in recent years began spending money to support local councils and connect them more publicly with the government. But a review by an independent monitoring organization found that instead of bolstering the government’s image, the effort mostly reinforced the primacy of the informal courts — of which Taliban justice could be considered a radical extension, wielding a mix of Pashtun tradition and extreme interpretations of Islamic law. ....

Terming the development   of the green economy for sustainable development as the most "pressing" global agenda, Russia today advocated a combined effort by the BRICS countries for implementing eco-friendly initiatives and priorities.

We believe it is the most pressing agenda for all the world," said Russian Environment Minister Sergei Donskoi, who is currently on a visit to India.
He said that at the meeting of the environment ministers, Russia will also discuss the probable mechanism and technologies for implementing these priorities in the economy as part of a policy for increasing the quality of life in BRICS countries, which comprise Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

During the Russian presidency, BRICS will take another step toward pushing for reforms in global governance and enhancing the member states' impact on global issues.

By hosting the leaders of the leading non-Western nations, Putin will demonstrate to the Russian people and the world that his country is anything but isolated. They also account for a quarter of the global GDP and nearly a fifth of international trade. .....

American Revolution 2015 ... picking up speed and building new roads

Everything that many of us thought would happen perhaps 50-60 years from now is happening right now.

The wahhabi rabble is on the march to plague the world with another bloody caliphate .... this time a much more bloodier one ... and this time round they are poised to take over parts of Europe, especially France and Spain, maybe Sweden and  Belgium too .... and all via Turkey.  It's going to be not too difficult a task given that large regions of Europe are crammed full of religious Muslims who are mainly  from the countries that the colonizers had conquered, raped, pillaged and robbed and by now many of us know that the Sunni segment of the Muslim immigrants in our own Western countries sympathize with the wahhabi shits ... the same shits that the USA, Israel and most countries in the EU have been training, arming, funding, wallowing in bed with.  These sympathizers are the army-in-waiting all nicely bundled and imported into countries that the wahhabis hate to pieces.

Karma is a bitch ... wait for it, it's not long in coming!

In the meanwhile let's continue to believe the lies spouted by warlord Nethanyahu, the numero uno hater of Shiite Iran although Iran is the only country able to decimate the wahhabi shits.  The utter harm that  Nethanyahu has done to Israel in the years he's been the warlord there is simply unbelievable.... and yet the Israeli hawks can't see the damage done.  The smarts, presumably in the Jewish DNA, have gone on a sabbatical and no idea whatsoever when they are expected to return.  The butcher of Gazan children had the audacity to invite French Jews to migrate to Israel.  What a fucking moron!  The best advice to give to thinking Israelis would be to get out of Israel and into either the USA or Canada, while this idiot and his party are in power.

The jihadi scum is raging over there in the Middle East, the same scum that has been helped to continue doing what they do best, headchopping ... and as long as they lop off the heads of Assad's soldiers, all is well and good with USA and her joined at the hip partner Israel and the many other EU nations wallowing in the same pigsty.  Moreover, chutzpah of chutzpahs ....these nations are now pretending to fight the very forces they themselves have created and empowered.

While all this is going on, America is at the beginning stages of either a civil war or a largely peaceful  sedition of several States with the intention of forming a Black America.  I was reading up  on the 1776 Revolution to freshen my memory. The entire process in the making of America didn't start nor end that year.  The Declaration of Independence was signed and issued by the Continentals  in 1776 but the rumblings of discontent had started well before that year and the fighting between the Brits, French and the Continentals (the Americans in the making) continued for years after 1776.

Given how fast everything seems to be moving these days,  can we surmise that the state of discontent in the United States of America is gonna come to a head by 2020?  I for one, very much think so.

From ABCnews:
Attorney General Eric Holder   announced tonight that the Justice Department will launch a civil rights investigation into the death of Eric Garner, the unarmed black man who died after being placed in a choke hold by a white New York City police officer during an arrest last summer.

The announcement came just hours after a Staten Island grand jury declined to indict officers involved in Garner’s arrest. Garner died July 17 after being placed in a chokehold by Officer David Pantaleo. The incident was caught on tape, and shows that Garner was unarmed and posing no apparent threat to the half-dozen officers who surrounded him. ....

New #BlackLivesMatter class to cover race, violence
The geography department and African and African-American studies program are introducing a new course for the upcoming spring term called “10 Weeks, 10 Professors: #BlackLivesMatter,” dedicated to considering race, structural inequality and violence in both a historical and modern context.

About 15 Dartmouth professors will teach separate sections of the class from different academic disciplines over the course of the term. Professors teaching this course come from over 10 academic departments and programs, including anthropology, history, women’s and gender studies, mathematics and English, among others.

Geography professor Abigail Neely said that the idea to create this course stemmed from a Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning workshop, which urged faculty to incorporate the 2014 events in Ferguson, Missouri, culminating in the non-indictment of Darren Wilson for the unarmed shooting of Michael Brown, into their various courses.

“We just thought that it might be interesting and innovative and exciting to have a course that’s dedicated to this, whereas lots of other people are incorporating it into other courses,” Neely said.

English professor Aimee Bahng said when she was writing the syllabi for her winter term courses, she felt it was imperative that she incorporate the events into her curriculum.

Bahng said that by teaching the new course, the faculty hope to create a culture of learning that goes beyond the classroom and cultivate a discussion amongst scholars about questions of race in America.

The course will approach this and other social issues from a number of different disciplines, which will give students who take the course the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary discussions firsthand, Bahng said.

Neely said that the course will break down barriers between different disciplines, a goal an institution like Dartmouth is designed to achieve.

She said that the faculty hope to not only place Ferguson in a temporal context, but also to highlight that it was not an isolated incident in the United States or around the world.

Bahng said they want to use Ferguson as a teaching opportunity.

“We hope students will be able to understand that Ferguson is not just an event in 2014, but something that’s tethered in time to a long history and still-emerging ideas about race in the U.S. and how policing works in an age of social media and distributed surveillance,” Bahng said...........
