Mr. Bean can figure skate

Wish you all a very Happy New Year and let's hope we retain our sense of humor in the face of whatever is flung at us from our Muslim brethren and their bosom pals the glorious misguided idiots on the Left.

Obama's pal, the multi-billionaire Buffet presents a great New Year gift to employees

Way to go !!  So much for the much advertised and propagandized phrases "community feeling" and "social conscience" from Obama and pals !!  When it's a question of their own money, not the taxpayers' ...  those saintly feelings go down the drain faster than  the blinking of an eye.   No waiting for a few more weeks  to give the  bad news... no sirreee !!  Money is of the essence.

The Manassas News & Messenger is no more....
... All employees lost their jobs, and 72 other jobs have been cut in the company.

The reason why illiterate Americans still mistake 9/11 monsters and Muslims as Hindus from India

It's not just the illiterate Americans who can't tell the difference between brown people and their different  ethnicities and are unable to digest that brown people living in South East Asia have different cultures and different religions.  There are ignoramuses like the American illiterates everywhere in the Western world. And, unfortunately,  they are found in plenty even in the supposedly "well-educated" elite.

How many people actually remember which countries the 9/11 killers originated from? To find out what your friends and relatives know about the ethnicity and origins of the 9/11 perpetrators, ask them that question.  You will be surprised with their answer. Chances are many people will say they were Iraqis or Afghans or Pakistanis or Indians.  Try it if you don't believe me.

The reason for this misinformation is thanks to the powerful public relations firms hired by Saudi Arabia in the aftermath of 9/11.  That and their all out effort to hold controlling interest in information houses like AP, FoxNews, Reuters, etc. has underplayed the role that Saudi citizens played in the 9/11 attack.

When I read the news item about a 30-something Christian woman in New York pushing a Hindu man off the platform and under a train I knew that this was not only a hate crime but a misinformation "crime".  For the misinformation "crime" who should be held responsible if not the MSM for the woman being so misinformed about Hindus as to state that:
"I pushed a Muslim off the train tracks because I hate Hindus and Muslims ever since 2001 when they put down the twin towers I've been beating them up."

Below  is a list of the names and ethnicity of the 9/11 killers  to refresh everybody's memories and here is the 9/11 Commission Report  ... it is almost 600 pages long.  It focuses more on Bin Ladin and does not place even an iota of blame on the teachings of Islam.  It's like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia itself had initiated the 9/11 Commission Report  and not the USA... and in my opinion the House of Saud  had a mighty influence on the commission viz their friendship with the Bush family.  The word "Koran" is mentioned only twice in the entire report .... that should tell you volumes.

Our allies in Syria take good care of dogs by feeding them Christian flesh of young fathers-to-be

What an excellent job the killers are doing on behalf of the Western politicians whom we have elected to the high places from whence they give orders for the extinction of Christians from the Middle East and Africa.!!
Hurray for us, hurray for our beloved leaders.

From AlArabiyaEnglish
A nun sounded the alarm that the Syrian conflict was becoming sectarian when she said that a Christian man was beheaded by Syrian rebels in the northern town of Ras al-Ayn on the Turkish border, and his body was fed to dogs, a British newspaper reported Monday.

Sister Agnes-Mariam de la Croix speaking from her sanctuary in Lebanon said the newlywed taxi driver, Andrei Arbashe, was kidnapped after his brother was heard complaining that the rebels fighting against beleaguered President Bashar al-Assad were behaving like bandits, The Daily Mail reported.

The 38-year-old Arbashe, who was soon to be a father, was found headless by the side of the road, surrounded by hungry dogs, Sister Agnes-Miriam, who is mother superior of the Monastery of St James the Mutilated, added.

“His only crime was his brother criticized the rebels, accused them of acting like bandits, which is what they are.”

Mid-December, the newly formed Syrian National Coalition obtained wide recognition including from the United States and the European Union. France and British were one of the earliest countries from the Western world that recognized the coalition as the sole legitimate representative of the Syrian people in November.

But Western powers until now are hesitant on whether to supply the opposition fighters with weapons. Western support so far has been in terms of non-lethal military equipment.

Meanwhile, the 60-year-old nun condemned Britain and the West for supporting anti-Assad fighters in spite of growing evidence showing human rights violations committed by them. She listed murder, kidnapping, rape and robbery as rising crimes.

They beheaded him, cut him into pieces and fed him to the dogs,” said Agnès-Mariam

“The free and democratic world is supporting extremists,” Sister Agnes-Miriam said from her sanctuary in Lebanon. “They want to impose Sharia Law and create an Islamic state in Syria.”

In December, Washington blacklisted the opposition al-Nusra Front group, saying it was linked to al-Qaeda. U.S. officials fear that groups such as al-Nusra Front to hijack the 21-month Syrian uprising. The Syrian conflict killed more than 45,000 people.

Christians in Syria, who many of them still support Assad regime, were previously given concessions by the Syrian regime to appease them. The Christians, a minority , also skeptical over regime change in the country as they fear the rise of Islamists

Iran's first female cabinet minister gets the axe

Imamadjacket must have been waiting for an opportunity to fire her .... and in the eyes of  the Iranian madman any hint of wrongdoing is a good excuse.

From GlobalPost:
Iran's President Ahmadinejad fires only woman in his Cabinet.   Health Minister Marziyeh Vahid Dastjerdi, the only woman in President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Cabinet, has been fired.Iran's Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi made history in 2009 when she became the first female Cabinet member in the Islamic Republic's 33-year history, Bloomberg News reported. But now, Dastjerdi is out of a job.

In a letter published by the state-run Mehr news agency, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced that he had fired Dastjerdi, who was the country's health minister. Ahmadinejad didn't provide a reason for her firing. But Dastjerdi had spoken out against the government in recent days, and called for a rise in prescription drug prices to fight shortages in Iran. She had said that an increase in the price of medicine is “inevitable unless sufficient foreign currency is made available to the ministry,” the Islamic Republic News Agency reported. The drug shortages are caused by international sanctions against Iran, which have done steep damage to Iran's economy, BBC News reported. Dastjerdi complained, however, that officials at home were making the problem worse.....

On lambs and the wilfully blind and mightily stupid

There's only one outcome for such fools ... the chopping block and I don't mean the kind where you lose your job but the kind where you lose your head. Archbishop Lahham of Jordan should not take things for granted ...obtaining more than a third of the seats is a cause for alarm and not a matter of pooh-poohing the results.  The Muslim Brotherhood are masters at stealth jihad.   Can you imagine that if educated individuals can vote by a third for an islamist party, what sort of a percentage of the illiterate will vote for the same ?

It's people like Archbishop Lahham that has let Christianity down by underestimating the power of the islamists.  It's largely because Christianity has always taught us to be meek as lambs and just as trusting that we are losing ground.   GRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!  Does not work.  We need militant Christians to battle what's coming and we need militant priests and nuns.  Idiots like the Archbishop have had their day.  Instead of alerting the populace of this outcome and what it bodes for the upcoming public elections,  the man wants to hid behind  false confidence.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Amman (Agenzia Fides) - The results of the elections of student representatives   have just been celebrated at the University of Jordan. There was no tension, the representatives of Islamist forces won 36 of the 94 seats, adding the 33 seats won by the candidates voted individually to the three seats (out of nine available) obtained by the lists on a proportional basis. 18 thousand students voted, with percentages that exceeded 63 percent of the university population for the vote expressed in favor of the lists.

Reasons of public interest of the university election consultation is that it was carried out with a voting system very similar to that, on the basis of the Electoral Act 2012, will be in force for the imminent parliamentary elections, scheduled for next January 23. In Jordan, the Muslim Brotherhood has so far confirmed the decision to boycott the elections in order to express their dissent against the electoral law, which in their opinion would have been artfully calibrated to foster political forces close to the Hashemite monarchy.

Archbishop Maroun Laham, Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, does not give the test of the university vote particular political significance: "Here in Jordan," says Archbishop Lahham to Fides Agency "the Muslim Brotherhood still continue to keep a low profile, especially if one takes into account what is happening in Egypt and Syria, and given the fame and the political clout that the Muslim Brotherhood are taking in all the Arab countries. To obtain a third of the votes in the university elections is certainly a good result, but it is not a triumph."

Look who's trying to shoot down a passenger plane ....

none other than our terrorist allies in Syria.  Time to give a  raise in pay to the Islamist gangs, couldn't  you say ?   And, of course a big pat on our own backs  for having supplied the goons with the sophisticated weaponry to do the dirty work being done on our behalf.

The Ottawa Police Services full of the most stark raving idiots in Canada

Do we the taxpayers really pay these nuts their huge salaries and even bigger pensions ?  This is not the first time that I have found that there is something very strange going on at the  Ottawa Police Services and CSIS needs to investigate what really is going on here ... because my antennae is beeping big time.

Fucking idiots at the Ottawa Police Services don't even know what Kwanzaa happens to be...which is NOTHING, ZERO, RUBBISH.    They would rather celebrate some fictional nonsense than give credence to Christmas and Christianity.

(Ottawa)– In partnership with Jaku Konbit,  the Ottawa Police Service will celebrate Kwanzaa by displaying and lighting a kinara at the 474 Elgin Street police station, on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

Traditional entertainment, light refreshments, and cake will be served. Members of the community and media are cordially invited to attend.

About Kwanzaa
Kwanzaa is a seven-day (Dec. 26th –Jan1st) non-religious cultural holiday that celebrates and honours universal African heritage, principles and values. It strives to commemorate those things that help building strong family and community.

The seven days of Kwanzaa match the seven principles celebrated during the days. They are ideas that emphasize the concept of community over that of individualism. Each day is dedicated to a specific idea.....

Christians finding their long lost balls ?

Let's wait and see.   Don't hold your breath for too long....although two Christian world leaders have "confessed" that they "pray" don't forget that they are where they are  because they are firstly; lying politicians   and secondly; because they will say and do anything to get your vote.

Are these two leaders feeling guilty that they are supporting the Muslim Brotherhood whose unholy quest is  to rid Christians from the Middle East???  You can bet your bottom dime they are not !!!

Its not the so-called Christian leaders who will fight back ... it's the little people like you and me who will resist the persecution of Christians and who will fight on behalf of Christians in non-Christian lands.  Our leaders, especially these days, seem to be empowering the very forces bent on the extinction of Christianity in the Middle East and Africa.

GlobalTVCalgary interviews PM Stephen Harper
Prime Minster Stephen Harper prays regularly,  just like most religious people, he said in a one-on-one interview with Global National’s Dawna Friesen. “But at the same time, as a political leader in a multi-faith country, I try to be very careful not to look like I’m trying to impose my particular theological views on our country,” he said.

Cristina Odone writing at TheTelegraphUK about PM David Cameron
....Christmas, and the fightback begins. Christians have stopped turning the other cheek and are beginning to reclaim this country. For years, now, members of the majority religion in Britain have been humiliated by child abuse scandals involving their priests, have listened to the mocking of the media, have been squeezed to the margins by calls for multiculture and equality legislation. They no longer dared their crosses, or speak of their faith at work. As for praying for someone, sending them to the devil was more acceptable.

Now, the tune is changing. Listen to the Prime Minister, quoting St John, if you please, about Jesus being grace, truth and love. The Christmas message from Downing Street has never been so self-consciously Christian; in fact, Cameron was positively American in his insistence, like Barack Obama, on praying with, and for, us......

....Already, outsiders are conscious of a new, fighting mood among the once supine faithful. It's not only politicians, who are now conscious of Christian voters. The media too is beginning to review their former hostility.....

What kind of orgasm can you get in a holdall bag ?

Our brave new world with no dearth of   nitwit detectives.

Duncan Gardham writing at TheTelegraphUK
....  Detectives had believed that   someone else must have locked the codebreaker in the bag and launched a search for a mysterious Mediterranean couple, who were later ruled out of inquiries. The Daily Telegraph understands detectives now believe that he probably died alone.

“They have been unable to find any trace of anyone who should not have been in the flat and every reason to believe that Gareth may have climbed into the bag himself and been unable to get out,” a source close to the inquiry said.

The keys to the red North Face holdall were found in the bottom of the bag when Mr Williams’s naked body was found in the empty bath of his apartment in Pimlico, central London in August 2010......

UAE arrests terror cell

The arrested terror cell with Saudi and UAE nationals was planning a big BOOM in both Saudi Arabia and UAE according to the two countries. I am willing to go out on a limb here and presume  that most of these Saudi and UAE nationals  are Palestinians who acquired citizenship in the countries of the ME.  The Palestinians are nothing but trouble no matter which country they gain sanctuary in.  A leopard can't change its spots.

From Reuters:
Security forces in the United Arab Emirates have arrested a cell of UAE and Saudi Arabian citizens which was planning to carry out militant attacks in both countries and other states, the official news agency WAM said on Wednesday.
The U.S.-allied UAE, a federation of seven emirates and a major oil exporter that has supported Western counter-terrorism efforts in the region, has been spared any attack by al Qaeda and other insurgency groups.
But some of its emirates have seen a rise in Islamist sentiment in recent years, and Dubai, a business and tourism hub and cosmopolitan city that attracts many Westerners, could make an attractive target for Islamist militants, analysts say.

From SaudiPressAgency:
Riyadh, Safar 13, 1434, Dec 26, 2012, SPA   Commenting on a report by the United Arab Emirates that members of an organised cell of diviant group consisting of Saudi and UAE citizens who were plotting to carry out acts that would tamper with the national security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE and some brotherly countries have been detained, Major General Mansour Al-Turkey, Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, lauded the achievement accomplished by the UAE, confirming that security cooperation and coordination is existing and continuing between the security concerned authorities in the two countries to reach whatever achieves the interests of the two countries and peoples.....

From IsraelNationalNews:
The United Arab Emirates announced Wednesday    that it has nabbed a cell of Saudi and Emirati members plotting terror attacks in the two countries and other states.
The suspects "imported material and equipment with the aim of committing terror acts," according to an official statement on the WAM state news agency.
The arrests came after coordination between security authorities in the two Gulf states.
“The security authorities in the UAE, in coordination with the related security parties in Saudi Arabia, announced the arrest of an organized cell from the deviant group that was planning to carry out actions against national security of both countries and some sisterly states,” WAM reported.
The suspects were described as members of the "deviant group," a term usually used in Saudi Arabia to refer to Al-Qaeda-linked Islamists.
"Security authorities acted "after confirming that those elements were plotting to jeopardize security" in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and a number of other countries, the statement said, adding that they would be put on trial.....

Christmas cartoons .... Charlie Brown

I couldn't find the full episode of the 1965 much talked about Charlie Brown Christmas show ... below is just a few minutes vid  from that show.

Snippets of news from here and there

From Reuters:
Israel voiced doubt on Tuesday    about the accuracy of Syrian activists' reports that chemical weapons had been used against rebels fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad.

From the BBC:
Gunmen in the northern Nigerian state   of Yobe have shot dead at least six Christians, the army and local officials say.
They say a church in Peri village near Potiskum, the economic capital of Yobe, was set on fire in an attack late on Christmas Eve.
No group has so far said it carried out the attack. The Boko Haram Islamist militant group has targeted a number of churches in the north since 2010. It has killed hundreds in its campaign to impose Sharia law.....

From Reuters:
.... Egypt is expected to announce    on Tuesday that voters approved a new Islamist-backed constitution, and the government slapped limits on carrying cash abroad to save the economy from collapse after weeks of street violence and political disarray.

From TorontoSun:
TORONTO - Relatives of a senior marking his 78th birthday in hospital      Monday fear brutal home invaders targeted him and his wife for Christmas cash intended for their grandchildren.
The Jeanne Dr. couple was sleeping early Saturday when two men burst into their home of almost 39 years northwest of Hwy. 7 and Pine Valley Dr. around 4:30 a.m., daughter-in-law Nadia Iantorno told The Toronto Sun.
Despite co-operating and surrendering money intended for their seven grandchildren, the seniors - whose names she did not want published - were tied up and assaulted.

Susan Flam - in her mid-60s - is a Thornhill resident who originally thought she won $50,000 when she first checked her ticket in a grocery store on Saturday.
"I felt I got hit by a train," she said when she discovered it was a few more zeroes than she thought.
A self-described homemaker, the mother-of-two says she enjoys doing charity work to "keep myself busy." She also plays the lottery every week and has previously won $83.
"It's not going to change me, no," she said about hitting the jackpot. "It doesn't change who I am or what I do.".....

From WashingtonPost:
Pope Benedict XVI wished Christmas peace    to the world Tuesday, decrying the slaughter of the “defenseless” in Syria, urging Israelis and Palestinians to find the courage to negotiate and encouraging China’s new leaders to allow more religious freedom.
Delivering the Vatican’s traditional Christmas day message from the central balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica, Benedict also encouraged Arab spring nations, especially Egypt, to build just and respectful societies.

From TorontoStar:
A former top York University executive received     about $250,000 worth of home improvements including a Jacuzzi hot tub in a widespread phoney invoice racket that he masterminded on campus, the school alleges.
In a major lawsuit with supporting documents, York says former assistant vice-president of campus services and business operations Michael Markicevic used staff and construction materials from the university for work at two family homes, while the school unknowingly covered the costs through a “vast” scheme featuring scores of bogus invoices.

From TheTelegraphUK:
India acid attack victim wins      Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? A woman disfigured and blinded by an acid attack has won the top prize in the Indian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?  Sonali Mukherjee will use the jackpot worth nearly £30,000 to fund her next round of plastic surgery after her family spent all their money on her treatment.
The 27-year-old has had 22 operations since she was attacked in 2003 while a student in the eastern city of Dhanbad.
She remains blind and partially deaf and as she despaired of getting more treatment, she applied to appear on "Kaun Banega Crorepati", the Indian version of the game show, which was featured in the film Slumdog Millionaire.

From Reuters:
An Iranian-Afghan     policewoman who killed a U.S. contractor at the police headquarters in Kabul may have been motivated by a personal grudge, said security officials, who were also probing possible Taliban or al Qaeda involvement.
The officials said the woman named as Narges seemed wracked with remorse over the shooting. They said she held an Iranian passport but offered no evidence that Iran may have orchestrated the attack.

Last night

Last night, the fam and moi, took a detour from our way to our parish to drop by a Roman Catholic South Korean Church in  midtown Toronto to see  how they  celebrated the birth of Christ.  Wish I had  the presence of mind to click a few pics.  **sigh**

The church and grounds allocated by the govt of  Ontario  to the South Korean church are simply beautiful.  The church and its buildings are at least 3 times the size of our own little church here in uptown Toronto.

When we entered the church, there was a Bethlehem play going on with tiny little kids singing and doing their stuff.  The church was packed and the ushers must have been taken aback to see  our non-Korean faces but said  a friendly "Merry Christmas" to us while they lead us to the pews.  There were real live musicians .... not just a choir.  We were very impressed indeed.  I only wish the play and the hymns, etc were in English.  Oh well !!

Our own parish  caters to a congregation  of  RCs  from all over the world and all the main services are in the English language so it was  something else to have had a chance to see South Koreans celebrating Christmas  in their own language.

We have now planned on making this a Christmas tradition  ....   visiting RC churches of  various denominations all over Toronto.  There's no other place better than Toronto to view the world's  Roman Catholics rejoicing in their PEACEFUL religion.

The lonely little Church in Al-Qaeda infested part of Pakistan

Even when surrounded by headchoppers, Christians believe in proclaiming the goodness inherent in all of us, whether it  be in tiny miniscule quantities or in  immeasurable tonnes ...and they do it by celebrating the birth of their Leader in no uncertain terms.

"The lights are all up,  and the choir boys are ready. The church is looking its best," said 60-year-old Alam, a former missionary who has celebrated his last ten Christmases there. "There's not much left to do but to pray and rejoice.".....

...."When the US went into Kabul, things became bad for everyone. But we are safe here. The army protects us," says Shaan Masih, who helps clean the church and likes to play the drums and sing carols.

For two decades, the church was little more than a room and the tiny community worshipped there under light protection. In 2009, the army set up a base in South Waziristan as part of the offensive against the insurgency and invited the church inside.....

....The small blue and white church building has been freshly painted and the main hall covered in new ceramic tiles. A small chandelier hangs from the ceiling and a cloth spread over the altar reads: "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."....

CNN's Human Resources fiasco

The Human Resources Department of CNN  are not efficient.  In spite of America having  a population which is five times the population of Britain, CNN's HR were still unable to find an American to replace the walking skeleton Larry King when he retired, and instead gave the slot to a Britisher who thinks America should become as lowly  a cowardly pussy that  Britain has become.

The number of Americans signing the petition has reached much more than the minimum needed to solicit a response from the White House.   I wonder what sort of a response will come from the WH.

Deport British Citizen Piers Morgan    for Attacking 2nd Amendment

British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.

BBC documentary on Pakistan's double game

The Intention of the Muslim Bros is to completely rid Christians from the lands which used to be Christian lands ... that's the bottom line ....

and don't let anybody tell you anything other than that.   Of late, I am entertaining the opinion that all the  turmoil going on over there is for the sole reason of breaking up the Muslim countries into segments of Sunni-ruled, Shiite-ruled and Christian+all other minorities-ruled  tiny countries.  To enforce that kind of think  just see  the strong roles that the former colonists like the UK, France, Italy and their supporters are playing in the ongoing conflicts. Egypt and most of the area surrounding it used to be in British hands,  Libya and parts of areas surrounding it used to have a heavy influence from Italy, France had huge slices of  areas in the ME including parts of Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia and Morocco.  You name any country in that part of the world and you can pair it with one of the EU countries being their "boss" in the not too long ago past or at least being heavily influenced by one.

Furthermore, I feel the West wants the breakup of these countries in order to better target them in future wars.  So much for all cultures and religions and beliefs being one big happy family under one big tent, eh? Anyway, that's my opinion and I am sticking to it.

Bassem Mroue writing at AP  .... article via YahooNews:
..... Rebels have threated to   storm two predominantly Christian towns in central Syria if residents do not "evict" government troops they say are using the towns as a base to attack nearby areas.

A video released by rebels showed Rashid Abul-Fidaa, who identified himself as the commander of the Ansar Brigade for Hama province, calling on locals in Mahrada and Sqailbiyeh to rise up against President Bashar Assad's forces or prepare for an assault.

"Assad's gangs in the cities are shelling our villages with mortars and rockets destroying our homes, killing our children and displacing our people," said Abdul-Fidaa, who wore an Islamic headband and was surrounded by gunmen. "You should perform your duty by evicting Assad's gangs," he said. "Otherwise our warriors will storm the hideouts of the Assad gangs."

Abdul-Fidaa accused regime forces of taking positions in the two towns in order to "incite sectarian strife" between Christians and the predominantly Sunni opposition. Assad belongs to the Alawite minority sect, an off-shoot of Shiite Islam.

The threat comes just two days after a U.N. team investigating human rights abuses in Syria accused anti-Assad militants of hiding among the civilian population, triggering strikes by government artillery and the air force.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the activist group which reported the rebel ultimatum on Saturday, said such an attack by rebels could force thousands of Christians from their homes.
Russia's foreign minister, meanwhile, said that Moscow would welcome any country's offer of a safe haven to Assad, but underlined that Moscow itself has no intention of giving him shelter if he steps down.....

Jihadis' next stop Jordan and Israel ....the thirst for blood will continue

The chances of  the blood-thirsty islamists proceeding to Jordan and Israel after feasting on Syria are excellent and those who can't see the reality of that coming to pass are willfully blind.  As the monster grows, its hunger too will grow in leaps and bounds and neither the USA nor the EU will be able to stop it.

Anshel Pfeffer writing at Haaretz:
Senior Jordanian officials warn that    Syria may devolve into a "black hole that sucks Jihadists from around the world." They claim that despite their warnings to Western nations and Israel against this expected development in their strife-ridden northern neighbor, advanced weaponry continues to flow into the hands of Salafist and Jihadist organizations who are gradually taking over the rebellion against the regime of Bashar Assad.

The Jordanians fear that with the collapse of the current Syrian government, this weaponry, together with the experience gained by the Jihadists, will be aimed toward other targets in the region - particularly Jordan and Israel. The Jordanians saw the first signs two months ago when their intelligence service caught a cell of 11 Jordanian Salafists who had assembled in Syria and were planning, under the aegis of Al-Qaida, to attack shopping centers and Western embassies in Jordan.....

Iraq's ongoing civil war simmering perfectly .......

just like the best stews that need to be simmered a long time to bring out that special flavor.  Our media generally ignores what's going on in Iraq but that does not mean everything is calm and peaceful in that country.

Khalid Mohammed writing at the CSMonitor:
Protesters have flocked to the streets    in recent days in the western Sunni heartland. They say Shiite Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has marginalized them, and that anti terrorism laws are being used unfairly against Sunnis.

Thousands of protesters demonstrated Sunday in Iraq's western Sunni heartland following the arrest of bodyguards assigned to the finance minister, briefly blocking the main highway linking Baghdad with neighboring Jordan and Syria.

The dispute threatens to exacerbate tensions with Iraq's Sunnis, who accuse Shiite Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki of targeting and marginalizing them. The sectarian conflicts have largely paralyzed the government and have often turned violent.

On Friday, Iraq's Shiite-led government said it arrested 10 of Finance Minister Rafia al-Issawi's bodyguards on terrorism-related charges. The government said it carried out the arrests according to the law and opposes any efforts to sow sectarian discontent.

In al-Issawi's hometown of Fallujah, some demonstrators covering their faces with red-checkered traditional tribal headdress carried pistols under their clothes. Others held flags from the era of deposed dictator Saddam Hussein and those now being raised by Syrian anti-government rebels.

It was the second time in three days that protesters in Anbar province have flocked into the streets....

Is Russian presence in Syria preventing World War III from officially breaking out?

All interested parties would have been inside Syria by now...openly and boldly, without using the jihadi islamist terrorist gangs as proxies, if not for the Russian presence in Syria.  According to latest reports,  "regime" warplanes have targetted a bakery a few hours ago and more than 60 people are dead.  I wonder what excuse the "regime" will give for this latest atrocity.  Will it say that the warplanes didn't belong to them and that the opposition forces have access to warplanes or will it say that the people standing in queues for bread were actually terrorists and not innocent and hungry Syrians.

Both sides, Assad's as well as his opponents, are showing their true colors as the conflict intensifies.  Muslims are murderous and death becomes them more than it did Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep.

Julian Borger writing at TheGuardianUK:
....Russian military advisers   are manning some of Syria's more sophisticated air defences – something that would complicate any future US-led intervention, the Guardian has learned.

The advisers have been deployed with new surface-to-air systems and upgrades of old systems, which Moscow has supplied to the Assad regime since the Syrian revolution broke out 21 months ago.

The depth and complexity of Syria's anti-aircraft defences mean that any direct western campaign, in support of a no-fly zone or in the form of punitive air strikes against the leadership, would be costly, protracted and risky. The possibility of Russian military casualties in such a campaign could have unpredictable geopolitical consequences.

Meanwhile, near-daily atrocities have kept western governments under pressure to act. A Syrian government air strike on a town near the central city of Hama on Sunday killed dozens of civilians queueing for bread, according to human rights activists.

Amateur footage from Halfaya showed mangled human remains strewn along a street where people had been blown off scooters and out of cars. One video showed a boy with his feet blown off. Piles of corpses could be seen beneath rubble outside a two-storey building the cameraman described as a bakery. It was unclear how many bodies were in the smoking ruins.

Human Rights Watch has previously accused the regime of targeting bakeries. The group warned the Assad regime that such targeted bombing of civilians represented war crimes. However, in the face of a Russian veto at the UN security council, the international criminal court has not had a mandate to investigate the atrocities committed by either side. The UN has put the death toll at more than 40,000 as the war continues to escalate....

Muslim Brotherhood's Egypt is no place for Christians

I predict that either Alexandria will break away from Egypt (as it should given that the Copts need a safe haven from the Islamist takeover of Egypt and given that Alexandria has the majority of Egyptian Copts within its borders) or the number of  Christians in Egypt will dwindle down to a mere hundred or so within  a  decade.

Raymond Ibrahim writing at GatestoneInstitute:
....While the conflict in Egypt  has largely been portrayed as a conflict between secular Egyptians -- or "moderate Muslims" who oppose full-blown Sharia -- and Islamists, led by the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafis, who want a Taliban-style Sharia to govern the nation, largely missed have been the people in the middle, the Christian Copts, who find themselves in an especially awkward position.

Moderate Muslims are still capable of offering the requisite lip service to Islam -- saying "prayers and peace upon Muhammad" and all the other Muslim blessings -- even as they reject the full application of Sharia. This makes it more difficult for their radical brethren to portray them as infidel enemies. Moderate Muslims can resist Sharia, but in subtle ways, arguing over Islamic exegesis, calling for ijtihad [modern interpretations, questioning], and so forth.

But when Egypt's Christian Copts resist Sharia -- as dhimmis [religious minorities who are second-class, "tolerated," members of society] -- pro-Sharia Muslims retaliate with a vengeance, portraying them as infidels who reject the law of Allah.

This has been truer than ever in recent days, as President Morsi and his Islamist and jihadi allies push for a Sharia-based constitution, and Egypt's secularists resist this. The Copts, trapped in the middle, are aware their suffering is only about to begin.

A video from Egypt that recently surfaced shows Salafi Muslims holding a man, his hands tied behind his back, in an alley. They grab him by the collar, interrogate and threaten him, humiliate him by poking and slapping him in the face and calling him "boy"-- as they try to determine if he is a Christian. "No, I'm a Muslim!" he insists. One of his captors can be heard saying, "Can you imagine if he turns out to be a Christian?" -- implying that would be the end of him.

The video ends with him sobbing and saying, "Have mercy," followed by, "There is no god but Allah," the first half of the Islamic shehada, or profession of faith, which, unlike the second half -- "and Muhammad is his prophet" -- Christians in Egypt are only too happy to declare.

The poking, throttling and slapping is a reminder of the Islamic textbook way of treating dhimmis. Such degradation appears regularly in the commentaries of Islam's doctrines, so that in the Medieval Islamic Civilization Encyclopedia one can read that Muslim "jurists came to view certain repressive and humiliating aspects of dhimma as de rigueur. Dhimmis were required to pay the jizya [obligatory tithe, or extra tax] publicly, in broad daylight, with hands turned palm upward, and to receive a smart smack on the forehead or the nape of the neck from the collection officer." Islam's jurists mandated a number of humiliating rituals at the time of jizya payment, including slapping, choking, and pulling the beard of the paying dhimmi............

One World Government ... Is it a plan to end all our troubles?

Yeah, right !!!
The One-World-govt. or Agenda 21 as it is known,  is a ploy devised by the powerful  to empower the already too powerful.  It's nothing but a ploy hatched by politicians and the puppet masters who have politicians on a string  like Soros and his ilk ... it's a ploy devised to take away individual freedoms and control the masses in one fell swoop.  Don't fall for it no matter how benign and all  for the  "benefit of the underprivileged"  that it's made to sound.  The TPP is just one of the many, many instruments that will be used to  join up with other instruments (some of them already in place)  for enabling the full assembly of the ultimate plan which will let a few hundred extremely powerful individuals rule the world.

John F.McManus writing at TheJohnBirchSociety:
....Beware the Trans-Pacific Partnership Free Trade Pact.  The TPP is a vehicle for Asia-Pacific-wide economic integration.

If Henry Kissinger and Richard N. Gardner told you they wanted to destroy our nation’s independence via a “piecemeal” approach while calling their treachery something else, wouldn’t you be on guard? Wouldn’t you watch for and oppose them, their allies, and their plans as they place pieces into a mosaic that will become a world government? Of course you would. Well, they and numerous others have boldly told us what they intend, have already taken several steps toward achievement of the overall goal, and surely delight in seeing their nightmarish dreams moving toward fulfillment.

Some of the pieces of this world government mosaic have already been created. NAFTA is perhaps the most important. But another, the proposed Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) offered by both President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush, ran into a substantial roadblock erected by The John Birch Society. It is no longer being promoted and something else has taken its place. Now there’s a need to create another roadblock, one needed to stop America’s entry into a proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership free-trade agreement.

Remaining faithful to the piecemeal approach, individuals promoting the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) have successfully entwined the following nations in negotiations toward the overall goal: Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Vietnam, and the United States. Representatives of each of these nations will meet in Auckland, New Zealand, during December 3-12, 2012, for the 15th round of TPP negotiations. The purpose of their gathering is to cement agreement about a formal TPP trade pact in the near future.

Trade pact? How could anyone be opposed to a trade pact? The answer, very simply, is that economic integration is always followed by political integration. Is economic integration the initial goal of the TPP? Indeed it is, and that goal is so stated in the “Trans- Pacific Partnership Frequently Asked Questions” section of the official website of the the United States Trade Representative (http://www.ustr.gov/tpp), which candidly states: “The Trans-Pacific Partnership is a vehicle for Asia-Pacific-wide economic integration.”

Further indicating TPP’s goal, the group’s organizers boldly discussed the “vision of negotiating a high-standard, 21st century regional agreement.” In other words, the TPP conference in New Zealand is a grand step toward gaining nation-by-nation approval of another sovereignty-compromising trade agreement.

As stated by proponents of this latest attack on national sovereignty, the bait being used to build sentiment toward an eventual Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement is “jobs, economic growth, and long-term prosperity.” This is exactly what lured 27 nations in Europe to enter into the European Union. None were told that they were joining a sovereignty- compromising political group, but many Europeans now realize that this is precisely what happened. It will surely happen to the United States and other nations if their leaders continue down the rosy path being laid out for them by the TPP..................

Our Friends and Allies

Our sweet allies in the Middle East.

Bahrain:
Liam Stack and Robert Mackey writing at NYTimes:
Bahrain Jails Activist for Covering Protests on Twitter
Last Updated, Thursday, 1:19 p.m. Bahrain jailed a leading rights activist for posts on Twitter documenting a protest on Monday in the capital, Manama, the kingdom’s official news agency reported. The activist, Said Yousif al-Muhafda, was being held for “disseminating false information regarding the clashes between the security forces and protestors in the Manama souq last Monday, December 17th, on his Twitter account,” The Bahrain News Agency said.
Mr. Muhafda, the head of documentation for the Bahrain Center for Human Rights is the second member of the group to be jailed for using the social network in the past six months. As The Lede reported in July, the rights center’s president, Nabeel Rajab, was sentenced to three months in prison for joking on Twitter that supporters of Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Sulman al-Khalifa, who was appointed to his post in 1971, had cheered for him only after being bribed....

Yemen:
SANAA (Reuters) - Gunmen abducted three Westerners  in the centre of the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Friday, a security official told Reuters.
"People saw a car stop in Tahrir Square, militants snatching three Westerners and speeding away," the official said, adding that police were searching for the kidnappers.
No further details were immediately available about the nationality of the kidnapped or the affiliation of the abductors, but al Qaeda militants and tribesmen have been involved in kidnapping foreigners in the past.....

Egypt:
Daniel Greenfield writing at FrontPageMag   on how the Muslim Bros are now beholden to Qatar (second  Saudi Arabia-like influence) for the support  they got from them.

You didn’t think that this was just about religion, did you? Sure Qatar and the Brotherhood are Islamists, but Islamism is an ideology and behind all ideology is old-fashioned greed and lust for power. Qatar was a major player in the Arab Spring and the overthrow of Mubarak and the rise of the Brotherhood.
Speaking of greed, Egypt is going from a gas exporter to a gas importer and it will be buying Qatari gas at the highest possible price.
Whatever money Qatar invested in the Arab Spring is about to be repaid at a very healthy profit.....

Qatar:
Qatar injecting millions of  dollars buying influence here, there and everywhere.  A monster is born, folks.  Make no mistake of what Qatar is after.   A couple of years ago people didn't even know how to spell "Qatar".  This monster is a quick learner and has a ready-made set of rules copied from Saudi Arabia.

Qatar will pour up to 200 million euros ($265 million) a year   into Paris Saint-Germain under an advertising contract designed to help the French club meet UEFA's financial fair-play rules, according to French media.
The deal, already submitted to French football's controlling body (DNCG), has been struck with the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and will run until 2016, daily Le Parisien said on Thursday......

Qatar:
From Ventures Africa comes this little nugget which shows how powerful Qatar is becoming.  I think there's a kind of competition going on between the House of Saud and the Qataris to see which caliph will get the bigger slice of  planet Earth.

Nigeria and Qatar have finalised plans to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the investment of $390 million in former’s transport sector in 2013.
BusinessDay quoted Nigeria’s Minister of Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga, who disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja, as saying: “Nigeria and Qatar have concluded arrangement on the investment plan. Qatar is expected to invest $390 million in logistics and transport sector of our own economy.”
Aganga noted that the Nigerian government would implement economic measures beginning from the next fiscal year, to reduce the cost of cement in the country and escalate production......

UAE:
Al-Akhbar English news reports about the whoring antics of UK's Cameron in the UAE.  I have maintained elsewhere that the UK and France are in stiff competition with each other for securing business from the ME countries.  The more conflict in that region, the better the business for both.

British troops may be deployed   to the United Arab Emirates, UK Prime Minister David Cameron said as he concluded a two-day visit to a military base in Helmand, Afghanistan Friday, according to Bloomberg news.
The announcement appears to have been triggered by the UAE expressing interest in ordering up to 60 Eurofighter Typhoon combat jets from the UK.
“What you're seeing specifically with the UAE is not just a plan to sell Typhoon aircraft, but a big significant defense cooperation which could, yes, lead to British troops stationed in their country,” Cameron told reporters in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan before boarding a flight to Oman, which has just purchased 12 Typhoons.
“This is an exciting possibility for both countries to have a proper strategic defense relationship.”
The PM visited the UAE and Saudi Arabia last month, reportedly to push through the Typhoon sales.
The November visit came days after the UAE's Federal National Council expressed shock over a European Parliament resolution calling on the Persian Gulf state to rectify human rights abuses, following the arrest and reported torture of 64 people tied to the Islamist Islah group....

Egypt:
Joshua Stacher writing at ForeignAffairs
It seems like déjà vu all over again in Egypt.  Recent clashes between supporters of President Mohamed Morsi and those who oppose his government's draft constitution are reminiscent of the violence in the last days of former President Hosni Mubarak's reign. Both then and now, the military and police have been generally absent from the scene, standing aloof from the chaos around them. To be sure, the generals have issued statements suggesting that they might step in to restore order, but they have never made clear whether they would intervene on behalf of the protesters or Morsi. Further, on December 11, they indicated their interest in brokering a deal between the Muslim Brotherhood and the protesters, only to rescind the offer shortly thereafter.

Kuwait:
Yet another Sunni player in the ME, doing its part to destroy the Shiites.

Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister
and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said here Wednesday Kuwait's allocation of a training site for NATO is part of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, which was launched by the alliance in 2004.
Speaking at a joint news conference with visiting Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders, the Kuwaiti minister said Kuwait's NATO training site allocation shows its continuing interest in international missions. . . .
"We are interested in regional security and stability, and we want to be partners with everyone having interest to achieve that," he [Al-Sabah] said.
On his talks with his Belgian counterpart, he said they had discussed ways and means of bolstering and cementing bilateral cooperative ties in various fields, mainly education and health, as well as the latest regional and international developments, according to Kuwait news agency (KUNA).

Saudi Arabia:
Members from the house of Saud are  filthy rich while 25% of the Saudi population live in abject poverty.

Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has bought a USD 485 million "flying palace" and will soon take delivery of the world's first customised A380 superjumbo. Prince Alwaleed, estimated to be worth around USD 21.3 billion, is expected to get delivery of the world's biggest private jet next year.
The prince has reportedly shelled out a whopping USD 485 million for the luxury plane, RIA Novosti news agency reported. Prince Alwaleed's A380 jumbo is believed to include four-poster beds, a Turkish bath, storage space for a Rolls-Royce, a boardroom, a concert hall, five suites with king-size beds, a prayer room featuring computer generated prayer mats which face Makkah and a lift between floors on all three levels.....

Saudi Arabia .... the oil rich country controlling the West with the money from the West

Irony has no impact when it's not recognized as irony.

Hugh Eakin reviews three books recently released on Saudi Arabia:
On Saudi Arabia: Its People, Past, Religion, Fault Lines—and Future by Karen Elliott House
Saudi Arabia on the Edge: The Uncertain Future of an American Ally by Thomas W. Lippman
Politics and Society in Saudi Arabia: The Crucial Years of Development, 1960–1982 by Sarah Yizraeli

....Contrary to its desert image,   Saudi Arabia is a highly urbanized country in which five large metropolitan areas—Riyadh in the center, Jeddah, Mecca, and Medina in the west, and Dammam on the Persian Gulf—account for more than two thirds of the population. Riyadh, the Saudi capital, is a Houstonian sprawl of offices, malls, and SUV-clogged thoroughfares; it is possible to miss the Grand Mosque if you are not looking for it. More affluent districts are filled with American fast food chains, British department stores, and French hypermarkets. Scruffier neighborhoods, like Bathaa in Riyadh’s Old City, feature the usual array of outdoor market stalls, electronics stores, and long-distance call centers, many of them clearly catering to a large immigrant population from South Asia. Seen from a car window, there is little to distinguish it from large cities in many other countries.

And yet at ground level, everything is different. The SUVs are all driven by men, many of them foreigners: since women are forbidden to drive, it is standard for middle-class households to employ a driver; but it is frowned upon for women to be chauffeured by Saudis (or other Arabs) who are not their husbands or fathers. Though women can purchase the latest upscale Western fashions at almost any Saudi mall, they are expected to wear a black abaya at all times and may be harassed by the Committee to Prevent Vice and Promote Virtue, the country’s religious police, if their hair shows just outside their veils. And in downtown Riyadh, not far from one of the main shopping districts, is a square where public beheadings sometimes take place.

Lippman and House are both sensitive to these disconcerting contrasts. Yet the contradictory insights they draw suggest how hard it can be to get a handle on the Saudi regime. For example, looking at the proliferation of fatwas by different Saudi clerics on issues like gender mixing, Lippman sees a system in which “rules of behavior and appearance are not fully codified,” allowing the ruling family to use religion to tighten or loosen its grip as needed; while House thinks the monarchy has “largely lost control of an increasingly diffuse and divided Islam.”

Regarding Saudi women, however, House finds appalling evidence that some are subjected to “virtual slavery, in which wives and daughters can be physically, psychologically, and sexually abused at the whim of male family members, who are protected by an all-male criminal system and judiciary.”

Both authors lament the Saudi education system, which in the clutches of the religious establishment has produced what Lippman calls “a lost generation” of young Saudis. But Lippman argues that the king has embarked on an “education revolution”—purging school textbooks of “inflammatory material,” spending nearly $4 billion to establish a top-flight coed university north of Jeddah, and sending more than 100,000 young Saudis abroad to study; while House maintains that the government’s vast outlays have produced few results (Saudis still perform near the bottom of international tests) because the “religious-educational bureaucracy remains largely impervious to reform.” The two books concur that the Saudi government has made hardly any progress in weaning itself from oil. For House this shows how “unproductive,” “dysfunctional,” “brittle,” and “ossified” the economy has become. Yet Lippman observes that the steady flow of crude has allowed the regime not only to withstand the Arab Spring but also to “spend hundreds of billions of its revenue” preparing Saudis for a post-oil future..........

Christmas movies ..... A Dog named Christmas

This is a  2009  Canadian movie.  Simply beautiful.   It's a "must see" for all  dog lovers.   Noel Fisher's acting is superb.  He should have got some sort of an award for his portrayal of a mentally challenged 20-year old.   The movie was shot  in Saskatchewan and Vancouver.  Definitely worth watching.

Earth welcomes 126 new species

What a wonderful world !

From Yahoo's LiveScience:
....Beelzebub's bat, a walking catfish and a frog  that sounds like a bird are among 126 species introduced to science in just a year in the incredibly diverse Greater Mekong region of Southeast Asia, according to a report released this week by the conservation group World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
The walking catfish — one of the 10 discoveries from 2011 highlighted in the report — doesn't exactly walk. But the fish (Clarias gracilentus) can impressively wiggle across dry land like a snake while using its pectoral fins to push itself upright. The fish, discovered in streams on the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc, often lives in stagnant waters. When these pools dry up, it can walk away to a wetter home.

Among other fish found in 2011 were a rose-tinted, blind carp (Bangana musaei) that lives in subterranean caves and a miniature fish (Boraras naevus) that's just 0.75 inches (2 centimeters) in length and marked by a large dark spot on its vibrant body, the report says.
Researchers also discovered last year a tiny demonic-looking creature appropriately named Beelzebub's tube-nosed bat (Murina beelzebub). The 10 weirdest animal discoveries of 2012
"We chose the name Beelzebub to reflect the dark 'diabolic' coloration of the new species and its fierce protective behaviour in the field," Gabor Csorba, of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, said in a statement. The bat is found only in the tropical forests of Vietnam and is among two other tube-nosed bats identified in 2011.

And then there's Quang's tree frog (Gracixalus quangi), whose calls rival those of birds in their complexity, and the rare ruby-eyed green pit viper (Trimeresurus rubeus), which has striking red eyes and a very limited range that includes Vietnam's Cat Tien National Park.
"Very few people in the world have seen this snake," Anita Malhotra, a molecular ecologist at Bangor University, said of the species. "We know very little about what it does."....

What a joy to know that Calgary and Saskatoon transits wish their riders a "Merry Christmas"

Hooray for Christmas !!  Hooray for Christians in both cities for putting their foot down firm and hard. Let's grow roots and stand tall.  The majority should be heard .... not the other way round.

Christians are and will remain Canada's largest religious group  .... by a very large margin.  Political correctness be damned  ... there's simply  no sugar-coating that fact.

Calgary Transit says  it has no plans to stop wishing its riders Merry Christmas despite a minor flap over the greeting in Saskatchewan.
In Saskatoon, city council received a complaint about buses bearing the Christian message.
While that city’s councillors debated the matter briefly Monday and voted to keep the seasonal greeting, they also said they’d consider adding more multicultural messages down the road.
Here in Calgary, digital displays on buses and CTrains wish riders a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.
“It’s up to our drivers’ discretion. It will say Merry Christmas if they’d like it to,” said transit spokesman Ron Collins.....

....Politicians in Saskatoon have decided     to keep showing the message "Merry Christmas" on transit city buses, although they will also be showing additional messages of "Seasons Greetings" and "Happy Holidays".
The Christmas message led to a complaint from a man who said he's a non-Christian and found it offensive.
A committee of Saskatoon council considered the issue at a meeting Monday and determined that Christmas is important to a lot of people and the messages will continue to be shown....

More Union Problems

HAHAHAHAAH

BBC NEWS:
Muslim suicide bombers in Britain are set to begin a three-day strike on Monday in a dispute over the number of  virgins they are entitled to in the afterlife. Emergency talks with Al Qaeda have so far failed to produce an agreement.

The unrest began last Tuesday when Al Qaeda announced that the number of virgins a suicide bomber would receive after his death would be cut by 25% this February from 72 to 54.  A spokesman said increases in recent years in the number of suicide bombings has resulted in a shortage of virgins in the afterlife.

The suicide bombers' union, the British Organization of Occupational Martyrs (or B.O.O.M.) responded with a statement saying the move was to its members and called for a strike vote. General Secretary Abdullah Amir told the press, "Our members are literally working themselves to death in the cause of Jihad. We don't ask for much in return but to be treated like this is like a kick in the teeth".

Speaking from his shed in Toilet in the West Midlands, Al Qaeda chief executive Hassheetin Mapants explained, "I sympathize with our workers concerns but Al Qaeda is simply not in a position to meet their demands. They are simply not accepting the realities of modern-day Jihad in a competitive marketplace. Thanks to Western depravity, there is now a chronic shortage of virgins in the afterlife. It's a straight choice
between reducing expenditures or laying people off. I don't like cutting benefits but I'd hate to have to tell 3,000 of my staff that they won't be able to blow themselves up.

Spokespersons for the union in the North East of England, Ireland , Wales and the entire Australian continent stated that the change would not hurt their membership as there are so few virgins in their areas anyway.

According to some industry sources, the recent drop in the number of suicide bombings has been attributed to the emergence of Scottish singing star, Susan Boyle. Many Muslim jihadists now know what a virgin looks like and have reconsidered their benefit packages.

Christmas movies ... I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa

This  is a  2002   movie with Connie Sellecca and Corbin Bernsen.  I thought I would watch a few minutes of it before posting, but wound up watching the whole movie  because the kid in the movie is just too cute.

The story of the Afghan girl whose nose was cut off ...

by her husband.  The ever generous America has given her a new life.  Let's hope she will be eternally grateful ... unlike others coming from that part of the world who are known to bite the hand that rescued them from hell.

....Brave Time cover girl whose Afghan husband    sliced off her nose pictured enjoying her new life in America as she reveals she's 'not scared to look in the mirror anymore'

A young woman who was brutally tortured in Afghanistan by her husband after she tried to escape their abusive forced marriage is on the road to recovery as doctors continue to rebuild her face.

Aesha Mohammadzai, who believes she is 21 or 22, moved to the U.S. two years ago after fleeing the war-torn country and is now six months into her surgery at a hospital in Bethesda, Maryland.

As part of the life-changing treatment, her forehead has ballooned and dark, drooping flesh now covers where her nose once was - before her husband sliced it off.

Yet Aesha, who has never attended school or celebrated her birthday, has insisted that she is no longer scared to look at herself in the mirror, as her treatment reaches the halfway stage.....

Gang rape of medical student in moving bus

The government of  India is as corrupt as the governments of countries around it.  Indians are already voicing their frustration that the six rapists of the 23 year old medical student will go unpunished because the private bus she was travelling in with her male companion (who was beaten up badly before being thrown off the bus) is probably owned by a relative of a politician or owned by a politician.  Licences to these private bus companies are handed out by the powers-that-be to those who are in cahoots with the powers-that-be.   The medical student's condition is reported to be critical and if she dies from her injuries ... then it's probably death by hanging for  all  six rapists.... if that  law actually works in the corrupt India.

While protests are ongoing all over India because of  this incident,  there were several cases of  unrelated gang rapes and deaths of women in India which magnifies how  violence against women goes unchecked in that country.... just like in any Muslim country.  Not much of a difference living in a Hindu "democracy".

According to this report four of the rapists have been arrested   ... Bus driver Ram Singh, his brother Mukesh, Vinay Sharma a gym instructor, Pawan Gupta - a fruit seller.  Two others are on the run.

....NEW DELHI - The hours-long gang-rape  and near-fatal beating of a 23-year-old student on a bus in New Delhi triggered outrage and anger across the country Wednesday as Indians demanded action from authorities who have long ignored persistent violence and harassment against women.
In the streets and in Parliament, calls rose for stringent and swift punishment against those attacking women, including a proposal to make rapists eligible for the death penalty. As the calls for action grew louder, two more gang-rapes were reported, including one in which the 10-year-old victim was killed.
"I feel it is sick what is happening across the country. . It is totally sick, and it needs to stop," said Smitha, a 32-year-old protester who goes by only one name.

Thousands of demonstrators clogged the streets in front of New Delhi's police headquarters, protested near Parliament and rallied outside a major university. Angry university students set up roadblocks across the city, causing massive traffic jams.
Hundreds rallied outside the home of the city's top elected official before police dispersed them with water cannons, a move that earned further condemnation from opposition leaders, who accused the government of being insensitive.
"We want to jolt people awake from the cozy comfort of their cars. We want people to feel the pain of what women go through every day," said Aditi Roy, a Delhi University student.

As protests raged in cities across India, at least two girls were gang-raped, with one of them killed.
Police on Wednesday fished out the body of a 10-year old girl from a canal in Bihar state's Saharsa district. Police superintendent Ajit Kumar Satyarthi said the girl had been gang-raped and killed and her body dumped in the canal. Police were investigating and a breakthrough was expected soon, Satyarthi said.
Elsewhere, a 14 -year old schoolgirl was in critical condition in Banka district of Bihar after she was raped by four men, said Jyoti Kumar, the district education officer..........

Christmas movies .... Mister St. Nick

2002 movie with  Kelsey Grammer

Love in the vegetable aisle

Who knew one could  fall in love by just looking at  "eyes" and go on to propose marriage without looking at anything else?!!    The purpose of posting this item is not because of the "love story" but to bring your attention to how France is monopolizing  all types of trade with the Sunni Arab nations.  France and UK are the two main Euro nations vying with each other for a bigger slice of the pie in those countries and will whore themselves into extinction within the next few decades.  It's not just the oil they are after .... the trade agreements with the Arab countries bring lotta  money .... but at what cost ?    Neither of these two are able to say  "No" when Saudi Arabia and the other Sunni nations tell them to supply weaponry and go to wars on their behalf as and when required.  It's a  tangled web.  I hope Canada refrains from any such sticky trade agreements with these nations.

The vid below is of one of France's Carrefour supermarkets in Jeddah.  The shopper is not happy with the "frozen" cucumbers.  Yup ... I laughed too.

....If Tom Cruise climbed the Eiffel   Tower in Paris to propose marriage to Katie Holmes, a Saudi man chose to exchange rings with his fiancé at Carrefour supermarket in Sulaimaniya, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
The supermarket was where they first laid eyes on each other, the Saudi Gazette reported this week.
“You can find love in the most unexpected places,” said Khaleed Al-Maeena, Saudi Gazette’s Editor-in-Chief, adding that “Saudis are romantics at heart. The world should know that we are like other people with the same needs and emotions like others.”

On that fortunate day, Abdulla Alanazi, exchanged rings with his fiancé at the French supermarket, witnessed by other employees.
The report also added that the French Consul General Louis Blin was a witness to the momentous event. Rumors say the consul general himself has blessed the wedding, according to sources who attended the ceremony.
However, the French Consulate in Jeddah denied the reports to Al Arabiya, saying the Saudi press misinterpreted the presence of the consul general, who was present at that time because of the inauguration of the “French Week” in the Carrefour branch in Jeddah.
In a photo published by the Saudi Gazette, the consul general was shown holding a toast glass—with juice in it – smiling as the groom puts the ring on his fiancé’s finger......

China arrests nuts claiming end of world on December 21

News these days is getting weirder and weirder.

If the end of the world does indeed happen   on December 21, some of the people predicting it will meet it in a prison cell: Chinese authorities have arrested more than 500 members of a doomsday cult in a nationwide crackdown.

The underground group ‘Almighty God’ – which unofficial sources claim may have several hundred thousand members – held unsanctioned meetings for its followers, distributed warning leaflets and spread doomsday predictions through social media and text messages.

"Dec. 21 is approaching, and on that day half of the world's good people will die, and all evil people will die out — only if you join the Almighty God movement can you avoid death and be saved," reads a handout found in Shaoxing, in eastern China.

Violent clashes between police and dozens of Almighty God members in several provinces has been reported.

A man who stabbed 23 children in Henan province last Friday claimed he was motivated by rumors that the end of the world was coming, though it is not clear if he was exposed to the teachings of Almighty God, authorities said.

The sect, sometimes known as Eastern Lightning, claims to be an offshoot of Christianity, but would be barely recognizable to Western Christians. Founded in the late 1980s, it states that Jesus has been resurrected as a Chinese woman.....

In other news .... Ireland legalises abortion

Catholics giving in to pressure .... as usual.  What else is new?
My personal opinion on this is that a woman has every right to choose what she wants done to  her body,  inside or outside.... however, at the same time,  I consider abortion to be nothing but murder.  Preventive measures are the way to go if a woman wants to avoid pregnancy and the resources used to fight both causes ... anti-abortion and pro-choice .... should be used  in developing a drug that would let those women who don't want babies to be barren forever or for  long periods  of time.  The preventive measures used currently are out of date and not radical enough.  Maybe a Muslim scientist can come up with some miracle drug for women to use .... that scientist would do a lot of good for the early takeover of the world by the Caliphate..... as Muslim women carry on making babies non-stop while most others fuck around a lot but remain babyless.

Henry McDonald writing at the Guardian Dublin:
....In a move unthinkable   even a few years ago, the Irish governmentis to introduce legislation permitting abortions in limited circumstances.

The decision follows pressure from the European court of human rights, which ruled that abortions should be allowed in the republic in cases where a woman's life was at risk.

The taoiseach, Enda Kenny, who represents one of the most traditional rural Catholic constituencies in Ireland, said the Fine Gael-Labour coalition would proceed with a mixture of "legislation with regulation".
The measures would be based on proposals from the so-called Expert Group. The reforms are expected to allow terminations where there is a medical risk to a woman's life or when she is thought to be in danger of killing herself. It is unclear whether the law will allow for terminations in cases of rape or sexual abuse.
In 1992 the Irish supreme court ruled in the case of a 14-year-old girl made pregnant through rape that abortion could be a legal option to someone who was suicidal. Successive Irish governments have failed to implement the ruling, mainly out of fear of upsetting the Catholic hierarchy and religious rightwing pressure groups.....
