Why is taxpayers' money going to terrorists' groupies ........

who are depicting terrorists and would-be-killers in a favorable light?  What the heck is going on with the Canadian playwrights, producers and directors that they think the general public will appreciate such nonsense  being forced down our throats. This Conservative govt does not seem to understand that taxpayers DO NOT want to give even one RED CENT to such thievery. Just saying that the PM's office is "extremely disappointed" is not enough.  Stop funding such depraved art shops NOW.

Catherine Frid, the playwright comes across as this this kind of woman. Totally stupid, totally washed out and a major SICKO to boot.  It's women like her that give true women and feminists a bad name. She is all fluff and nothing else, and probably has the hots to lay down with either a terrorist or a convicted killer. Maybe her other fantasies of getting chortled by a hoodlum can come true too.

Michael Rubenfeld, the artistic director of the theatre festival, is angry at us for reporting on this and then argues we are launching a “blatant attack” on his festival, an attack he finds all the more outrageous because as he says, “not a single person” we quoted knows anything about the play Homegrown.

First to Rubenfeld: We quoted the playwright, Catherine Frid, who said her play is a “sympathetic portrayal” of Shareef Abdelhaleem, convicted of plotting, as part of the so-called Toronto 18, to blow up a good chunk of downtown Toronto....
