5.5 Quake hits southern Ontario

My first quake in Canada.   It was scary.  If you have loved ones working in high-rise buildings get them to go to ground level.  Many a time after a quake of 5+ the tremors come every 10 - 15 minutes or even after 1 hour.
CP24 has not reported any damage as yet.

  1. Loose women I tell you, just a short time ago, that Mulllah (Iran) told us that was what caused it....

You know, hot day today, shorts, halter tops, etc.

Personally I'll take the trade off.

  2. Many of the high-rise buildings in downtown Toronto have emptied, according to a friend of mine. Cellphones are jammed and people still cannot get through. Fortunately, the subway is operating without any dealys.
The quake has been downgraded to 5.0 for Toronto and upgrade to 5.6 at the epicenter... wherever that was. I believe it was the border of Quebec/Ontario ... they do tend to get milder quakes of 2.5 or thereabouts.
