What's under the burkha? You don't want to know.

I can give you a hundred+ reasons for banning the burkha, but for now let's go with just the ones below.
The attackers wore suicide vests and dressed in burkas. Afghan security forces have killed four militants who attacked a UN compound in the western city of Herat, officials say.A fifth attacker blew himself up at the gates, before the others, wearing suicide vests got inside, triggering a gun battle with police.

Two suicide attackers dressed in burqas were shot dead Wednesday as they attempted to enter the compound of a US-linked aid organisation in a southern Afghan town, officials said.

Two suicide bombers dressed in burqas struck a crowd of displaced people collecting aid handouts, killing at least 41 and wounding more than 60 on Saturday at a camp in northwest Pakistan.

Dressed from head to toe in a traditional Muslim woman's burkha, this is the moment a robber raided a travel agent. Brandishing a knife, he threatens the two women staff before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

An armed robbery allegedly carried out by a man wearing a burka has sparked a row in Australia on whether the full-face Islamic veil should be banned.

Armed robbers disguised in burkhas escaped with thousands in cash after carrying out a post office raid in Paris.

Authorities in North Carolina don't know whether they are looking for a man or a woman in the search for a burqa-wearing bandit who walked into a bank Tuesday and pointed a gun at a teller before exiting with a bag full of money

And, here is a long list compiled by Dr.Daniel Pipes. He has one from Brampton, Ontario too which I could not access through either National Post or The Star. I wonder why our news media race to archive news reports that are not favorable to Canadian moslems. Any adverse info on Canadian Christians or anybody non-muslim you will be able to get your hands on in a jiffy.

  1. This is the best post you've ever done,Maria, imho.

I had no idea there were so many instances of terrorism and banditry committed by persons disguised in burkhas.

It makes good sense for terrorists to dress in the burkha before they commit mayhem, they could hide anything from an AK-47 to a fairly large bomb under there,as they walk into a shopping mall or kindergarten.

The burkha gives crooks and terrorists carte blanche to walk about freely among us and strike at their convenience.

But don't ban the damned thing, just pass a law that burkhas have to be made from clear plastic sheeting.

  2. I totally agree. In fact, the 9/11 terrorists ALL WORE PANTS. I'm tired of this POLITICAL CORRECTNESS that forces acceptance of pants wearers on planes DOWN OUR THROATS and that persecutes those who simply speak THE TRUTH that they get nervous getting on a plane with people that are wearing pants.

  3. Audrey II - I am glad I don't have your problem. Wouldn't want to be taken to the nearest loony bin all shackled in a strait jacket and my tongue sticking out from one of my cheeks.
