Things coming to a boil in Syria

I hope CSIS and the RCMP are keeping a close watch on the two factions of Canadian Syrians, one pro-Assad and the other anti-Assad. Their hatred for each other might come to a boil too creating an unwanted event(s) in Canada.

The Sunni muslims are terrified of Iran and want to destablize that country ( which works for me) and Assad was idiotic enough to openly side with Iran and Hezbollah .... hence the assault on his ":dictatorship". As dictators go, the ones in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait are far worse than Assad ... but we don't see or hear anything about what  happening there on almost a daily basis, do we ?

There are arrests, imprisonment and torture going on in those Sunni-governed countries but the press is in bed with the powerful oil-rich countries. In fact, Saudi princes are the biggest shareholders of the Western media  so how will one get the true picture of what's going on?  With arabs owning chunks of the Western media outlets and Soros owning the rest... how can we judge exactly what is going on in those countries or anywhere else?   Only the tweets at Twitter has been giving some indication and so also Facebook. To see the instances of incidents going on in Bahrain, check out the tweets from this Bahraini woman.

Yesterday, and continuing into today, more than 150 Syrian protestors have been killed. Amnesty Intl is tweeting that witnesses to human rights abuses should contact them with details. Looks like they woke up from their middle east snooze fest or did they. Chances are they want to take attention away from what's happening in Bahrain.   They never say anything about Saudi Arabia .... the lying hypocrites.

From CNN: The U.N. Security Council was scheduled to discuss Syria Monday evening amid reports of continuing clashes between the military and civilians in the Middle Eastern nation, a diplomatic official said.

The meeting will include a briefing from a U.N. political affairs officer, said a spokesman for the German Mission to United Nations.

Prior to the meeting, Amnesty International issued a statement calling on the Security Council to "urgently respond to the ongoing crackdown in Syria by referring the situation to the International Criminal Court.".....

Vid also here at GuardianUK: ....The National Organisation for Human Rights said that in total 136 people had been killed in Hama and three other towns. Activists described a massacre after armoured units ended a month-long siege to smash through makeshift barricades around the city just after dawn on the eve of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan......

From AlArabiya Syrian tanks entered Hama’s historic Asi Square, the center of the city, and opened fire on buildings. Casualties were said to be in the dozens, although specific figures were not available immediately.

Many residents were reported to be having Iftar, the breaking of the fast at the end of the sunrise-to-sundown suspension of food and drinks in penance.

The brutality of President Bashar Al Assad of Syria against his own unarmed citizens escalated on Monday, the first day of Ramadan. Activists and other sources reported that the death toll since Sunday has exceeded 150, although the Assad regime claimed that its soldiers were being killed by unspecified “gangsters.”.........
