Christian artworks from Egypt before it was forcefully converted to islam by invading barbarians

Hard to believe, isn't it?

Beware all you Christian nations of the world, all you nations still thriving as non-muslim lands as of 2012 ... the fate that fell on Christian Egypt might be what you will be  bequeathing to your children and grandchildren...... if you don't wake up, recognize your enemy for the invading virus it is and defeat it before it's too late.

All pics in this post are the works of Egyptian Christians whose descendants are now the rabid raving kind of muslim fundamentalists whose videos are all over the internet.  History keeps showing us these transformations of entire nations from Christianity to barbarism  and yet we stubbornly ignore facts.  Islamic invaders raped and plundered Egypt and forced the Christians of Egypt to convert to the barbaric religion of islam.  Egypt was once a thriving Christian nation, rich in culture and the arts and the people were nothing like the muslim nuts now having the loudest voices and murderous ways,  in a nation that had given  the world so much culture and history.

From 1st Century AD to 5th Century AD: ....Christianity arrives in Egypt, flourishing in the large Jewish community in Alexandria. Saint Mark is called the first bishop of that city and is said to have been martyred there in 66 A.D.....

The last major Roman temples constructed in the traditional pharaonic style date to the reign of the Roman emperor Antoninus Pius (r. 138–61 A.D.).

Alexandria is one of the leading intellectual centers of the Christian Church. Among the great Christian scholars teaching there are Clement (d. 215 A.D.) and Origen (d. 253 A.D.). Gnostic and Neoplatonic scholars are also active in the city.
....portraits on shrouds continue to be painted in Antinoopolis even into the fourth century with the complex religious imagery of the era. Coptic, a new written form of the Egyptian language, facilitates the spread of Christian literature.....

....Christian hermits in the Egyptian desert begin a new style of communal living, later known as monasticism. ....

Egypt is the mother of Monasticism

Islam started rampaging and ravaging Egypt soon after the death of their pedophile prophet in 632 and see what it has done not only to a great nation like Egypt but to the various lands that islam conquered by raping, plundering, killing and beheading to impose their unholy will on Christians and Jews who are the original and rightful heirs to every inch of the countries that are now in muslim hands.

...Probably the most significant Christian remains in any of the Western Oasis are those of the Necropolis of al-Bagawat in the Kharga Oasis, yet these ruins actually predate Christianity and consist of both pagan and Christian temples, chapels and burials. They date from between the 2nd and 6th centuries. However, this is considered to be one of the earliest and best preserved Christian cemeteries in the world.....

....The Coptic Church is based on the teachings of Saint Mark who brought Christianity to Egypt during the reign of the Roman emperor Nero in the first century, a dozen of years after the Lord's ascension. He was one of the four evangelists and the one who wrote the oldest canonical gospel. Christianity spread throughout Egypt within half a century of Saint Mark's arrival in Alexandria as is clear from the New Testament writings found in Bahnasa, in Middle Egypt, which date around the year 200 A.D., and a fragment of the Gospel of Saint John, written using the Coptic language, which was found in Upper Egypt and can be dated to the first half of the second century. The Coptic Church, which is now more than nineteen centuries old, was the subject of many prophecies in the Old Testament. Isaiah the prophet, in Chapter 19, Verse 19 says "In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the LORD at its border." ...

Although fully integrated into the body of the modern Egyptian nation, the Copts have survived as a strong religious entity who pride themselves on their contribution to the Christian world. The Coptic church regards itself as a strong defendant of Christian faith. The Nicene Creed, which is recited in all churches throughout the world, has been authored by one of its favorite sons, Saint Athanasius, the Pope of Alexandria for 46 years, from 327 A.D. to 373 A.D. This status is well deserved, after all, Egypt was the refuge that the Holy Family sought in its flight from Judea: "When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son" [Mathew 2:12-23]......

Lots of  links to various historial facts in the above link.  Visit and learn and be warned of what can happen when a barbaric culture like islam has the upper hand.

Of the painting of the period, you can find some examples at Deir Suryani and Deir Abu Maqar and at the Monastery of St. Simeon.

It's mentioned in an essay of that period that the historian Van Celub found an icon of the Archangel Michael during his visit to a Cathedral in Alexandria, that was made by the Apostle Luke.

The entire country of Egypt was rich in Christian culture and Christians made up the majority of the population. Where are they now ?   Almost everybody suffered the plague of islam and the forced conversion to a murderous cult.

Be warned infidels, be warned.  The Caliphate is on the march and their foot soldiers are already in our lands as muslim immigrants.
