What's all that hullabaloo about our Hockey girls ?

Karen Crouse of NY Times and David Crary of AP are sore losers. Just because their team got trounced on the ice yesterday by our Hockey girls, these American reporters have been plastering the networks with reports about the "just shy of her 19th birthday" Marie Poulin having a beer to  celebrate her victory. Her photographs are all over the NY Times and other media. I wish these reporters had more decorum, but then I also wish I was a millionairess and could buy a trip to outer space. My latter wish has better chances of coming true.

  1. Look at the bright side, at least more Americans know today that they were defeated in the final by Canada yesterday than otherwise would have known. If you have to ruffle a few feathers to make the news, then so be it.

  2. Sore losers! Oh, have I mentioned the Americans woman's hockey team lost!!!

American news stations are plastered with stories of drinking and smoking, hardly any mention of the Canadian Gold.

Oh well, heading off to celebrate with a good glass of beer and a Cuban cigar! Oh yeah, Americans have neither!

  3. Thanks for the linkage, Maria. And congratulations on your fine victory. Leave it to our lamestream media to make a mockery of it. I guess they never learned that partying is good for the soul.

  4. Something like 100,000 condoms given to 7,000 athletes but crack a beer and light up a cigar, and the whole world goes baptist? They had every right to party.. good on 'em!
