Egypt gets to see snow after 112 years


Actually, I never knew it had ever snowed before in Egypt. Live and learn, eh?

...Snow is blanketing Cairo for the first time in 112 years, according to reports. And while there were scenes of car accidents and people not looking too happy about the weather, a lot of people decided to have some fun and take a snow day.

Children made snow angels while their parents held umbrellas (I’ll give them a break because they probably don’t have proper winter gear), people through snow balls at each other and others made snow men.

But people in Cairo aren’t the only ones having fun in the snow. The white stuff is also covering Jerusalem. It snows there more often, including last year, but it was a chance for many to have some fun in the snow......
