Cash-for-Clunkers is great for Honda and Kia
I just love to hear the bellows of rage coming from the leftist quarters whenever I post something that's a wallop in their lying teeth. I wonder why the leftists think that they have a copyright on Alinsky "Rules for Radicals". Sad, so sad - misguided as usual. Ridicule me all you want, it won't stop me one tiny little bit. Calling me a liar, brainless, uneducated, wacky, ignorant, unintelligent, deranged, stupid and a variety of other synonyms of a derogatory nature just goes to prove how much my blog is getting under your skin. And, posting a link to my items just helps me from going into "oblivion".
The links below are especially for RedTory who is begging for attention. Down boy, down. And, stop whimpering, I am not ever going to publish your comments.
"The Cash for Clunkers program, the federal car buying subsidy approved in the wake of General Motors' and Chrysler's financial collapse, has been a hit in the Tampa Bay area.
But it has mostly been a home run for Japanese and Korean automakers.
Dealerships offering a full range of inexpensive economy cars — a speciality of Asian manufacturers — appear to have profited the most from the trade-in rebates of up to $4,500."

"Rich Stiefel, general sales manager, said Toyota of Gladstone wasn't just selling over the weekend. "We've been taking pre-orders," said Stiefel. "We have 30 cars out back that people need to come and pick up." Big sellers include the hybrid vehicle, the Prius.
The "Cash for Clunkers" program was bringing customers in, Stiefel said, "But we've done fine without it. We've seen a steady increase in sales in the last three or four months."
Down the road, staffers at Ron Tonkin Kia on McLoughlin, has seen sales increase. "In the last four days, we've sold 40 cars," said Al Autry, a salesman. "We've sold about 100 cars so far this month, so 40 percent of our sales have been in the last four days."

If only the 3 Billion had been used to help mortgage defaulters so they could stay in their homes for a bit longer and hope for better times or other alternatives, but I guess according to leftist logic, saving the environment is more important than saving people.

Korean and Japaneese 'brands' no longer translates into made in Japan or made in Korea, as GM, Ford, and Chrysler branding no longer means made in Canada and USA.
ReplyDeleteI work for Honda Manufacturing in Alliston Ontarioand there are many Honda Automotive factories in the USA
As for Kia Motors (which I am not a fan of) they have recently invested 1 Billion into a factory in WEST POINT, Georgia
Also we have Toyota who have invested Billions in factories in USA and Canada, and of course all the Jobs and spin off jobs from the Detroit Three auto manufacutrers in North America.
Not sure what the point of view was from 'red-tory' other then his aparent 'argumentum ad hominem', which anyone who is resonable in a debate should avoid doing. However it seems to be used all to often by the left when they are loosing a debate and the only thing they can do to change the subject is to launch personal attacks the writer or speaker.
