266) ....A Dorval mother accused of stabbing her 19-year-old daughter told a Quebec Court Judge Friday that she remembers very little of the conversations she had with doctors and psychiatrists after she was arrested following the attack on June 13, 2010.
Johra Kaleki, 40, faces several charges including attempted murder of her daughter, Bahar Ebrahimi. The court is hearing a motion for exclusion of certain evidence from the trial, including statements Kaleki made to police and doctors on the day of the attack........
267) 12 people face 28 charges in drug investigation On Sunday, September 23, 2012, in response to complaints from the community, 54 Division's Major Crime Unit started a drug investigation in the Woodbine Avenue/Sammon Avenue area.
268) On Thursday, September 27, 2012, police responded to a sexual assault call in the Spadina Avenue/Sullivan Street area.
It is alleged that:
− a 34−year−old women was walking on Sullivan Street, east of Spadina Avenue, when a man approached her from behind
− he dragged her, pulled her to the ground, and sexually assaulted her
− the woman screamed, alerting others in the area who came to her assistance
− the suspect ran from the scene but was located and arrested a short time later
Abbas Wehelie, 24, of no fixed address, is charged with Sexual Assault
269) ....Recently, the Cour de Québec convicted Reha Ozcelik and Ecehan Ozcelik, both foreign nationals, and fined them $120,000 for false representation related to immigration matters. The couple pled guilty to the charges laid by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
The CBSA charged the two individuals with making false representations on two separate occasions in order to fraudulently keep their permanent resident status, thereby contravening the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
"Immigration fraud is a criminal offence in Canada and damages the integrity of our immigration system," said Benoît Chiquette, Regional Director General of the CBSA, Quebec Region. "The CBSA takes this issue very seriously and works to identify, investigate and prosecute those engaging in immigration fraud to the full extent of the law."
The CBSA Criminal Investigations Division, Quebec Region, currently has a number of residency fraud investigations underway and will continue to pursue these types of cases as they come to the Agency's attention.....
270) ....Randjida Khairi paid the ultimate price for standing up to her Afghan Muslim husband and letting their children live as Westerners, a jury heard Friday.
The mother of six had her throat slashed by Peer Khairi, slit open to the spine and slowly suffocated in her own blood, Crown attorney Robert Kenny said in his opening to the jury.
“She was in the process of separating her finances and moving out of the family home,” Kenny said. “There had been fights between the couple about how permissive she was in raising their children, how she allowed them to dress and socialize as they liked, rather than asserting more control over their behaviour so that they kept the culture and rules of their birthplace.”
Khairi, now 65, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the March 18, 2008 slaying of Randjida, 53, his wife of more than 30 years, at their West Mall penthouse apartment.

− a 19−year−old woman boarded a northbound TTC bus at Coxwell Avenue near O’Connor
Drive at approximately 11:30 a.m.,
− the woman was seated at the back of the bus when the accused, seated behind her,
engaged her conversation
− the accused sexually assaulted her
− the woman moved seats to avoid the accused
− the accused followed her and again sat directly behind her and sexually assaulted her
Jubair Ahmed, 22, of Toronto, has been charged with Sexual Assault.
He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, October 4, 2012, room 507,
10 a.m.
Police believe there may be more victims.
272) ...Mahmood Mohammed Abbood, 21, has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon (x2), housebreaking with intent, robbery with a firearm, unlawful confinement (x6), uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, breach of recognizance (x4), and numerous firearm-related charges. The accused was released on bail and will appear in court on Oct. 19, 2012.
Raad Hamza, 21, has been charged with assault (x2), assault with a weapon, forcible entry, unlawful confinement, and possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public. The accused is in custody and will appear in court on Oct. 19, 2012........
273) .... An Egyptian man who preyed on Toronto sex workers will be deported after the Supreme Court on Friday refused to hear his appeal.
Al-Munzir Es-Sayyid, 23, terrorized and robbed escorts from downtown agencies using guns and knives. In 2009 he was found inadmissible to Canada because of serious criminality under the Immigration Act and a deportation order was issued against him, according to Supreme Court documents.
"Based on Mr. Es-Sayyid's numerous and serious criminal acts involving firearms and threats of violence, as well as his lack of rehabilitation in spite of probation and incarceration, he [presents] a present and future danger to the Canadian public and his presence in Canada [poses] an unacceptable risk," says a court document on his case.....

Police identified the victim ... as January Marie Lapuz, 26. Lapuz was formerly known as John Carlo Embo Lapuz, but changed his name in 2008. No one has been arrested.....
