From Glenn Beck: A New Hampshire father was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on Monday after he expressed concern at a school board meeting about a book his ninth grade daughter was assigned to read. William Baer took issue with a scene in Jodi Picoult’s novel Nineteen Minutes that details a graphic sexual encounter. Officials at Gilford High School claim the book contains important themes about a school shooting. According to WCVB-TV, however, the book contains “a graphic description of rough sex between two teenagers,” and parents were not made aware of such content until the book had already been distributed to students. School district officials did not answer any questions about the book on Monday, but in the past, the school has sent out notifications to parents before assigning the controversial book. That protocol was not followed this year. In an interview with EAG News, Baer explained he came across the book’s questionable material by happenstance when a family friend happened to flip through the book and read the graphic scene aloud. “I was shocked when I read the passage, and not much shocks me anymore,” Baer said. “My wife was stunned by the increasingly graphic nature of the sexual content of the scene and the imagery it evoked.”....
....On radio this morning, Glenn questioned how out of control our society has become that no one else in the room so much as protested the man’s arrest. While Baer is clearly agitated, his behavior certainly does not seem to warrant an arrest. “Now, I could imagine that you are arrested for standing up and being vile in public,” Glenn said. “That wasn’t the case. This was held in a library and this was held with… maybe 15 or 20 adults in there. According to court documents, Abdulrahman Alharbi, a Saudi Arabian student who lives in Revere, became the focus of public speculation for a brief time during the search for those responsible for setting off two pressure cooker bombs on Boylston Street. Alharbi claims that political commentator Glenn Beck and the company that carries his show, The Blaze, smeared his name in the media even after Alharbi was no longer the subject of the investigation. “On and after April 15, Beck broadcast repeated statements distributed and published to others…identifying Alharbi as an active participant in the crimes that were committed in Boston,” Alharbi’s lawyer, Peter Haley, wrote in a six-page filing dated March 28 in U.S. District Court of Massachusetts. “Beck falsely accused Alharbi of being a criminal who had funded the attacks that took place at the Boston Marathon…the statements made by Beck were false.”...........

For example, during a recent episode of "With Dr. Islam Buhira" on Al Qahira Wa Al Nass TV station, Buhira explained how he had attended "a conference in Morocco on the status of women in society post Arab Spring," and how at the conference, the following interpretation of the Koran by renowned Islamic exegete, al-Qurtubi (d.1273), was read: "Women are like cows, horses, and camels, for all are ridden." After quoting al-Qurtubi's words, Dr. Buhira continued, in a disappointed tone: "This is how al-Qurtubi speaks about women, who include his mother, his daughters—basically all Muslim women. He says they are 'all ridden.' This is what makes them similar to animals." Hard to believe or not, the idea that "Women are like cows, horses, and camels, for all are ridden," is in fact recorded in Tafsir al-Qurtubi (see vol. 17, p. 172), one of the Islamic world's most authoritative exegeses, or commentary on the teachings of the Koran.
In fact, comparing women to beasts is not uncommon in Islam and traces back to Prophet Muhammad himself, who is recorded saying, "Women, dogs, and donkeys annul a man's prayer" (Musnad Ibn Hanbal, vol. 2, p. 2992). I first translated and discussed these texts likening women to animals in 2008, in the context of how female concubines in Islam are not deemed human, as the Arabic relative pronoun used in the Koran to indicate captive sex-slaves is "it"—as in an animal—not "she" (e.g., Koran 4:3). Even so, many Muslims, including women, are only now learning about these texts and teachings. The fact is many Muslims really don't know much about Islam beyond the Five Pillars. But they have been conditioned to believe that, whatever Sharia says must be laudable and judicious—Sharia being the law of their god as delivered by their beloved prophet. Moreover, in the last couple decades the slogan "Islam is the solution" became popular as a panacea to all of society's ill. That is, until it went from being theory to reality. Put differently, now that the Arab Spring has brought Islamists to power—in Tunisia, in Egypt, in Libya, and currently trying (at the tip of the jihadi sword) in Syria—nominal and nonobservant "cultural" Muslims, and they are not a few, who for decades were ruled by Westernized autocrats and media, are finally seeing the true face of Islam and its teachings, in all their minutia, up close and personal. This new acquaintance with the truth is setting some of them free—even as it further enslaves those who like what they see.........
The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia has again declared that it is 'necessary to destroy all the churches in the region. Before Egypt's President Muhammad Morsi was ousted, April was one of the worst months for Christian Copts there. On April 5 near Cairo, when a longstanding feud between a Christian family and a Muslim family—based on male Muslims sexually harassing Christian girls—culminated in the violent deaths of six Christians, including two of the participants, a Christian and a Muslim, being set on fire, and local Muslims went on another "collective punishment" spree. It resulted in the injury of at least 20 other Copts, an Evangelical church being set on fire, and an attack on a Coptic church, Two days later, after Copts had mourned their dead in the St. Mark Cathedral—Coptic Christianity's holiest site and home to the Coptic pope—Muslim mobs, who had waited outside, launched yet another attack—aided by state security forces. Eyewitnesses said as many as 40-50 tear gas canisters targeted the mourners, many of whom were women and children hiding in the cathedral. Two more Copts were killed and many dozens wounded as other officers stood by while the Muslim mob tried to destroy the cathedral.
On one Friday after prayers, the Bilal Ibn Rabah Mosque in Cairo was turned into a "torture chamber" for Egyptians, many of whom were Christians, protesting the Muslim Brotherhood. One of the victims, Amir Ayad, a Christian, said he was severely beaten before being left for dead at the side of the road. He suffered a fractured skull, a broken arm, bleeding in his right eye and pellet wounds. Coptic Christian children, mostly boys, were targeted for kidnapping and held for ransom; one 6-year-old, after his family had paid the Muslim kidnapper, was killed. And a video appeared on Arabic-language websites showing a crowd of Muslims in Egypt assaulting and raping two Christian women on a crowded street and in broad daylight. Throughout, the women scream in terror as the men shout Islamic slogans such as "Allahu Akbar!" "["Allah is Greater!"] None of the many passersby intervenes in any way........

Whenever my lefty friends hit me with the many misdeeds of Israel and how the USA protects Israel no matter what, I tell them that that is how it should be because the Jewish people have made America into the giant that it is. America and Americans should never forget that. The best American inventors, scientists, discoverers, entrepreneurs, financial wizards, writers, Hollywood makers and shakers have been, are, and always will be, American Jews. If not for them, America would have been like the other insipid and boring Judeo-Christian nations of the world where the Jewish people did not feel welcomed enough to reach their full potential.

Youssef writing at McClatchy: ....The September death of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans was supposed to mark the end of Ansar al Shariah, the extremist militia suspected of being behind the attack and that had controlled the streets of this city for months beforehand, demanding that an Islamist country emerge from the 2011 revolution that toppled longtime leader Moammar Gadhafi. Three days after the popular ambassador’s death, hundreds of outraged Libyans stormed Ansar al Shariah’s headquarters, routing everyone inside and setting the building ablaze. Members of Ansar al Shariah disappeared, “like sugar in water,” as one Libyan explained. The militant group’s checkpoints came down around the city and its threats against residents that its members had seen as too liberal stopped. Libya, the people of Benghazi seemed to say, would not tolerate extremism in the nation’s second largest city. That was then. Nine months later, Ansar al Shariah is back on the streets of Benghazi. This time, the group is rebranding itself as a social organization, opening a health clinic and a center for Islamic exorcism. It provides aid to the poor. Its Facebook page shows the group’s vehicles patrolling the streets and its members constructing new buildings and handing out money to the needy. None of this is clandestine: Ansar al Shariah signs mark the clinics and the cars are emblazoned with the black Ansar al Shariah flag. The same flag can be seen flying from many apartment balconies.
Ansar al Shariah members are manning checkpoints as well, including a main one leading into the city, though residents say they are friendlier than before when they force drivers to stop their cars and explain who they are. Local officials see no reason to stop the militia’s return, in spite of the accusations that its members orchestrated the Sept. 11, 2012, attack that killed Stevens and State Department computer specialist Sean Smith when the building they were hiding in was set on fire. Two former Navy SEALs working for the CIA, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, died hours later in a mortar attack on a nearby CIA station. “They are offering social services after the murder of Chris Stevens,” said Col. Hamad bin Khair, commander of the 1st Brigade of the Libyan Army, based here. “They are Libyans. They have that right.”........
Scores of Libyan militiamen descended on an anti-Islamist rally in the nation’s capital, Tripoli, kicking and beating protesters who had taken to the streets Friday as part of a call for mass demonstrations against the country’s unruly militias and Muslim radicals. Rallies also took place in two other Libyan cities, Benghazi and Tobruk, with hundreds of activists denouncing the armed thugs and decrying what they describe as political maneuverings by the nation’s Muslim Brotherhood. Libyan lawmakers approved the bill during the weekend, with guns still drawn on the streets, and the militias seemed to be gradually lifting their siege in the capital. But witnesses said they remained hunkered down inside the Foreign and Justice Ministry, paralyzing the institutions and preventing employees from coming to work........
Six Libyan soldiers were killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen on an army checkpoint south of the coastal city of Sirte, once a stronghold of slain leader Muammar Gaddafi, a Libyan security source said on Tuesday. There was no immediate word on who was behind the attack.

The quintessential example of such a person is Cheryl Bormann, the American lawyer for accused jihadi Walid bin Attash, who is charged in the 9/11 terrorist attack on America.
Bormann came to court dressed in an exotic full body Arabian cloak with a head cover that befitted downtown Riyadh rather than Guantanamo. If her affront to America was not enough, she then asked the judge to order other women in the room to follow her example.
Cheryl Bormann is not alone. Closer to home we have Barbara Hall, the head of the notorious Ontario Human Rights Commission. At one time Hall’s commission was advised by an Islamist who came to work dressed in full-body Saudi attire. Supporting this sharia promoting civil-servant was a revolving cast of multicultural/Islamic commissioners, one an Imam, the other an admirer of Ayatollah Khomeni with the former head of the Canadian Arab Federation to complete the mix.
Last week Barbara Hall and her commissioners forced the Ontario government and the Toronto Police to agree to allow Sikhs to wear a ceremonial dagger, the kirpan, inside all public areas of Ontario’s courts. OHRC had been pursuing this case since 2006 when a female college student on a class trip to Old City Hall was refused entry because she was wearing a Sikh dagger and refused to take it off when asked to.
The “grievance” of this woman was taken up by the World Sikh Organization, who were helped by Hall’s staff and lawyers.
So scared are the rest of Ontarians and their political leadership of being called a racist that no one dares challenge this medieval edict that makes it mandatory for all baptized Sikhs to wear a dagger at all times to protect their “honour.”Kirpan is made of two words, kirpa (mercy) and aan (honour).
To give legal validation to a 17th century edict without discussing the merits of that edict in the 21st century, is to surrender our heritage of rationalism and reason to that of medieval religion, be it Islam, Sikhism or any other faith.
The order to Sikhs to wear the kirpan was made by the tenth Guru of the Sikh faith, Guru Gobind Singh in 1699 at a time when the Muslim armies of the Mughals were terrorising the nascent Sikh community of Punjab. Had I been alive then, I too would’ve worn a kirpan and fought with my Sikh brothers and sisters, so brutal were the Mughal warlords.
Today, the carrying of the kirpan carries no significance other than symbolic. Why then not just wear a tiny necklace-like symbolic dagger? Why the need for a 7.5 inch blade?............
