What is going on in Haiti ? Who IS in charge?

Riots and total disruption is the order of the day. Hospital intact just outside of the city is still waiting for injured patients to arrive. Where are the injured? Doctors are waiting anxiously to look after the suffering and none are showing up. What is going on? In other news it looks like the UN doctors and nurses have been told to evacuate on security fears.   So, who and what is going to look after the dead, the dying and the injured?  What a hopeless situation for these traumatized helpless people.

Cops themselves are believed to be either rampaging alongwith the looters or shooting them. The UN food warehouses have been completely looted. Some reports say that, in order to bring some sort of semblance to the chaos, the USA has taken over the airport. The port has been rendered useless due to the quake.

Chaos and fear reigned on the streets of the capital Port-au-Prince on Sunday, as many were still waiting for food, water and medicine five days after the disaster decimated the area. Police opened fire on a group of looters, killing at least one of them, as hundreds of rioters ransacked a supermarket.

  1. I know this might ruffle some Liberal feathers, but we need troops with guns in the streets.

    Oh no????

Of course they ransacked and looted the freaken supermarket, what are they supposed to do? Wait outside calmly for a SIXTH, SEVENTH day, until "some one" comes to give permission to go thru the broken doors, windows and let the starving thirsting well behaved sheep in?
