Kevin Wilson from Windsor, Ontario, dethroned a 5-time Jeopardy champ on Friday night and will appear again on Monday to grab some more money. Right now he is grinning having won US $31K. Nice going Kevin. Keep it up and make us proud. Wilson works for Sid Ryan's outfit as some sort of manager or something.
......Wilson is not the first Canadian to cash in from the high-profile quiz show.
Doug Hicton of Regina won big in 2007, earning more than $85,000 over three shows, plus a cheque for $100,000 as the runner-up in that year's Tournament of Champions.
In 1992, Robert Slaven of Yellowknife, N.W.T., used his knowledge to win five straight times and was invited to participate in the show's Tournament of Champions. In all, he won more than $63,000.
Whether Wilson can achieve that kind of success remains to be seen, but the quiz whiz is eager to bait the hook for viewers of the show.
"You'll have to watch Monday night to see how it pans out," he said.
