"I don't wanna go back home" USA's visit visa absconders = 3 million

I wonder what the number is like for Canada. Could it be like 300,000?  And, where are they and what have they been doing and who is hiding them?  How long would they have to be in the country before they can hire lawyers to gain legal citizenship thus jumping the queue and bypassing all the normal requirements for immigration? Maybe, for once our laid back MSM can conduct an investigation to find out and bring us the details instead of reading stuff easily available to 10 yr olds on the internet. An inquiry on illegal immigration, which in Canada would likely be from visitors who lose themselves amongst Canadians, would also make the Immigration dept and all the sub-offices attached to it, to buck up and take notice because if the MSM  takes notice, it would mean that the voting public is taking notice.
