Sarah Palin: The key to win hearts and minds
is to be yourself. But the "yourself" must be essentially a good person or it will never work. Palin does not even have to try to make people feel warm and welcomed, it just happens again and again and again. Conan O'Brien and his staff of the Tonight Show are now her fans, even if they will not voice their sentiments aloud. Backstage pics here .
Palin says: The Conan visit was fun – the best part was that we had Wounded Warriors with us in the audience. I can’t express how proud I am of their courage and patriotism.

Something evil is afoot and not just in Copenhagen
A farewell video has been found and the man is missing. As Christmas day approaches, authorities all over have raised their awareness. This is the season when planes carry full loads as do all other modes of transport. I just checked Gay and Right's blog to see if he had something too, and yes, sure enough he too has come across something. My link has a different terrorist connection. Something nasty is definitely being planned. :Let's hope these monsters are caught before their plans comes to fruition.

The magpies can cackle all they want ....
the real winners in Copenhagen will be China and India. Emphasis mine.
.....China claims it is already cutting CO2 intensity by 4% a year as part of its five-year plan. President Hu Jintao has hinted that at Copenhagen China will offer to continue such reductions. By 2040, that will add up to a 70% reduction in intensity.
Sounds good, but here's the catch: With 10% annual growth in China's economy, a 4% cut in intensity is actually a 6% annual increase in emissions. India and other developing countries have similar CO2 growth. That 6% yearly increase is what is shown in the nearby chart.
True, China's CO2 per capita is only a quarter of the U.S. emissions rate. But warming doesn't come from emissions per capita, it comes from total emissions.
China's carbon intensity is now five times that of the U.S.; it is extremely carbon inefficient. By the time the Chinese cut emissions intensity by 45%, its yearly total will be over twice that of the U.S. And in the proposed Copenhagen dream scenario, by 2025 China's emissions will actually surpass those of the U.S. per capita.
If the issue is rising emissions in the next several decades, the bottom line is simple: The developed world is rapidly becoming irrelevant.
Every 10% cut in the U.S. is negated by one year of China's growth. By 2040 China could be the most economically dominant nation on earth. The West might be able to cajole it, but won't be able to impose sanctions on China. Temperature will be at the mercy of the newly powerful economies.......

Never EVER believe the Leftist media
Everytime the leftish loudmouths start gurgling about Palestinians, their oft repeated lines are:
"They live in concentration camps", "They have to survive on nothing","Their children die of malnutrition", They are dirt poor", "They are suffering", "Israel treats them worse than animals", "There is a humanitarian crisis going on", "The world is blind to the plight of Palestinians", "When will our govts wake up and help these down-trodden Palestinians", "Please donate to the Palestinian cause".
The real story is, as always, the opposite of what the Left screams it to be. Check out this article and see if the Palestinian people are victims or on their way to becoming millionaires. The only deterrent they face is Hamas and the sooner the idiotic Left realizes that, the better for those they "supposedly" want to help. The Left are always wrong, with a capital W.
......The shops and restaurants were also full when I visited Hebron recently, and I was surprised to see villas comparable in size to those on the Cote d'Azur or Bel Air had sprung up on the hills around the city. Life is even better in Ramallah, where it is difficult to get a table in a good restaurant. New apartment buildings, banks, brokerage firms, luxury car dealerships and health clubs are to be seen. In Qalqilya, another West Bank city that was previously a hotbed of terrorists and bomb-makers, the first ever strawberry crop is being harvested in time to cash in on the lucrative Christmas markets in Europe. Local Palestinian farmers have been trained by Israeli agriculture experts and Israel supplied them with irrigation equipment and pesticides....
.....Palestinian economic growth so far this year—in a year dominated by economic crisis elsewhere—has been an impressive 7% according to the IMF, though Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayad, himself a former World Bank and IMF employee, says it is in fact 11%, partly helped along by strong economic performances in neighboring Israel.
In Gaza too, the shops and markets are crammed with food and goods. But while photos from last Friday's Palestine Today newspaper, for example, depict sumptuous Eid celebrations, these are not the pictures you are ever likely to see on the BBC or Le Monde or the New York Times. No, Gaza is not like a "concentration camp," nor is the "humanitarian crisis in Gaza is on the scale of Darfur," as British journalist Lauren Booth (who is also Tony Blair's sister-in-law) has said......
....Nablus stock exchange head Ahmad Aweidah went further in explaining to me why there is no rush to declare statehood, saying ordinary Palestinians need the IDF to help protect them from Hamas, as their own security forces aren't ready to do so by themselves yet.....
....The truth is that an independent Palestine is now quietly being built, with Israeli assistance. So long as the Obama administration and European politicians don't clumsily meddle as they have in the past and make unrealistic demands for the process to be completed more quickly than it can be, I am confident the outcome will be a positive one. (The last time an American president—Bill Clinton in 2000—tried to hurry things along unrealistically, it merely resulted in blowing up in everybody's faces—literally—and set back hopes for peace by some years.)....

Boss Creations .... thanks for the tip JJ!!
Look what JJ the Leftie brought to my attention ... Boss Creations
Boss Creations has boldly come out with the following statement:
"The Christian holiday, Christmas, is intended to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. However, over the years the decorations and celebrations for this holiday have become increasingly commercial and unrelated to Christ. Unfortunately, the holiday has become less about Jesus and more about gifts and Santa Claus.
At Boss Creations, it is our mission to help you bring the Word of God into your home during the Christian holiday seasons. We hope that you will share the Word with your family and friends and that you will begin new holiday traditions with Christ as the central figure.
In recent years, our Christmas holiday has been made to become a generic holiday for all religions with many being forced to call it a "Holiday" season instead of Christmas season. We, as Christians, must take a stand and rescue our religious holiday. We at Boss Creations believe that one way to do this is to decorate with more Christian-themed holiday decorations including The CHRIST-mas Tree.........."
Show your appreciation by placing an order. I am looking at the paper mache round ornaments. Pretty.

Calling Prof.Waldo.... Where arrre youuuu?
My response to the commenter Where's Waldo, at my earlier posting got so very long, that I decided to make it into a posting. So, here's my reply to Where's Waldo.
The real story is far, far, far from the truth. China's govt. will never let even 10% of the real misery happening to the poor in China, to slip out. What you see and hear about China is what China wants you to see and hear ... and I think you know that. You also admit that their "one child policy" was heavy handed but effective. I believe this policy was adopted in 1978 or thereabouts. Female baby infanticide in China, until recently, was such a common occurence that nobody, and I mean NOBODY, gave a damn about the probably 1000s of baby girls killed at childbirth on a DAILY basis because of the "one child" policy. Parents would willingly have their female babies killed at birth and keep trying until they gave birth to a boy.... but I didn't need to tell you that too. The Chinese, like the Indians... prefer sons .. that is also not news to you...but people like you will still bypass the inhumane aspects of Communism and blow up to unrealistic proportions the minuscule areas of the minimalistic good that a Communist regime achieves while in power. The gendercide that was the norm in China for decades has now come back to bite them as young Chinese men now face difficulty in finding female mates.
And, Scary has responded to you with:"Check back in 20 years when the pampered only children of China reach their most productive years. You'll see euthanasia of the highest order to stem the economic decline.
The fact is, you are not taking into account the lag that happens of about 30 to 40 years. We had a baby boom in the 50's. Our best years economically were the 80's and 90's. Once they begin retiring (next 20 years) we will have serious problems.
If you want proof, look at Japan. Decades of population stasis leads to economic stagnation. It's kind of funny that all Progressives seem to want is a halt to progress.
We need to eradicate illiteracy more than anything else. The people of the earth who need education the most, the proper kind of education, are the billion+ muslims on this planet. I would love to see how the "1 child per female" policy would work in muslim households. Would you or anyone of your ilk be willing to explain the "one child" policy to a typical muslim family?
Any takers out there who are willing to do this? How about you Ms Diane Francis? Wanna go and tell the muslims they should abide by the "one child per female" policy you are advocating? No... I thought not.
It's so "easy to put tongue to roof of mouth" (bad translation) as my grandma used to say. Many of us, thankfully, have our feet firmly planted and are not flying around with unicorns and magicians.
Waldo, you said: "Once again you have demonstrated that you obviously don't read (or perhaps read, but do not understand) many documents, articles, or books that accurately describe macroeconomics or geopolitics, let alone anything other than ExxonMobil advertisements on environmental issues".I know my limitations and will freely admit that some things just fly over my head and crash against the wall behind me. However, I also know that I graduated with honors from the University of Common Sense, and that no other medium of learning can come anywhere close to the UCS. Also, all of us cannot be profs of AnythingButCommonSensology.
Waldo, you said: "If you and Scary, think population reduction through voluntarily reducing birth rates is such a horrible thing for the environment or the global macroeconomic situation should look at the current global economy. Who has the most important and fastest growing economy (but not yet the largest economy) in the world today? Think about it for a while....China. What has China had in place for the past generation? .... think a little harder....A one child policy - that has been more or less effective, if heavy handed. (Hut hey, Harper soundly criticized them on their human rights policies... hmmm - pot, kettle, get to know one another)Has the one child policy ruined their economy? Nope. It can actually be argued that this policy has driven significant improvements in their standard of living and enhanced the growth of their economy.Given the environmental and pollution disaster that China is experiencing today, what do you really think they would be experiencing if they had another 300-400 million people that had to house, clothe, and feed themselves?"Oh Waldo, Waldo.... we can get real mucky and sticky if we discuss China and their communist ways. It's true that their economy is booming and as a Communist regime they are much more flexible than Communist Russia ever was. How come, you as a leftist is commending their capitalistic ways? They are capitalistic to the core, every last Chinese man, woman and child have become capitalistic and that is a thing of wonder coming from a concept like Communism. However, for every one Chinese doing well on the "middle class" ladder, there are 5 or more of their fellow man languishing in utter poverty. China has been wrongly given an "aura" of a role model of what a country can achieve if the govt is strict with the populace and lays down hard and fast rules for human behaviour.
The real story is far, far, far from the truth. China's govt. will never let even 10% of the real misery happening to the poor in China, to slip out. "Waldo, you said "In the end, we live in a finite world. Based on available data and as demonstrated by the ongoig manmade catastrophes and, likely the climate change induced, natural catastrophes we are currently seeing everywhere around us, it is quite obvious that we are exceeding the carrying capacity of the planet to sustain the current population, let alone a growing population that wants to consume and pollute like people in developed economies do.I would postulate that the only possible reasons why someone would want to continue on the current destructive path of unlimited population growth is that they are ignorant, believe in the Rapture coming within their lifetimes, or they are selfish asses. Which of these three groups would you align yourself with?"Waldo, your talking points above, I don't know why, but they reminded me of something I had read on Roger Walsh. I admit I agree with some of his thinking, but not his views on AGW. If you are a believer, and I surmise you are very faithful, given that you got your thongs all twisted because of my posting, there is nothing that anyone says, leave alone moi with a poor vocabulary, who can change your mind about AGW or the over-population issue.
You said "Also, would this comment have been treated any different by you (or other people with similarly narrow views of the world) if it was made by a male journalist? God/Allah/Vishnu/Buddha/Mother Nature/etc... forbid that the comment might have been made by a politician or, even worse, a scientist well versed in the topic of climate impacts from consumption."Waldo, the whole point of my posting was to imply that personal freedoms of women, like how many children we want to conceive or not, should be left to us, and not imposed on us. If the feminist groups who advocate Pro-Choice are all about women's freedom to choose then it is a never-ending mystery to me how they seal their lips with the most effective glue, (glue which is still not on the market but available solely to those raving feminist groups) when suggestions like "one child per female" crap is brandished about. Do you get my point? As a woman, I would hope that our status will never come to be that of the fictional women in "The Handmaid's Tale".
Waldo, in a later comment you said: "I believe that people around the world need to have a thorough understanding of the facts about population, wealth, health, the environment, and the economy to make a decision about their family structure. Without education and open minds able to assimilate the information we have at hand, we are doomed or at least in for some very difficult times."I agree a lot with this last comment. The key words are in the first sentence itself. It has to be left to the individual to decide and no one else should think they have the power to decide on behalf of the individual.

After a long debate over increasing troops in Afghanistan, finally, President Obama said that he has decided to send around 30,000 extra troops to Afghanistan. Now, deploying 30,000 troops to Afghanistan is a good idea but I’m doubtful that this will work as a long-term strategy to “finish the job.” A long-term strategy to mitigate the violence and end the war in Afghanistan is to train and equip the Afghan National Army.......AfghanLord blog

Suddenly, Tony Abbot saw the light
We can only hope that a few others groping in the darkness of Copenhagen will see it too. Abbot listened to his voice of reason which also goes by the name "conscience" and did the right thing. Deep down he knew that AGW was a farce.
.....Abbott, until that point Turnbull's main defender on the ETS, became increasingly blunt. According to many in the room, he left no doubt that he was a climate change sceptic. He ruminated there had been many changes of climate over the millennia not caused by man. Finally, he said the science behind climate change was "crap", at which stage Wilson snapped awake.
"I think I was nodding off down at the back of the room when all of a sudden he came out with the comment that the science around climate change was `absolute crap' and I kind of jumped back awake and wrote down his quote," Wilson says......
.....The next morning, Abbott was feeling his usual sprightly self. "He came in here bouncing," Cox says. "He was a different boy." He read the papers, made some calls, had a coffee at Angel's Cafe with Bain and met local councillors.
About midday, Abbott left Beaufort for Melbourne in a government car. On the way, he writes in his new afterword to Battlelines, he had the long phone conservation with Minchin that crystallised his new thinking, after which he had decided that "the politics of this issue really had changed".
Town of Beaufort changed Abbot's view on AGW

Easier to find "Mr Goodbar" than the word "CHRISTMAS"
I am not alone in thinking that the Left hate Christmas. The knuckleheads on the left want to rid the word "Christmas" from the dictionary. They want it gone from our consciousness and our vocabulary. My hat's off to this blogger for doing research on how the lefties are trying to make people associate the word "Christmas" with layoffs.
This year when you receive an email saying "happy holidays" or some crap like that, send it right back and ask the advertiser or even your best friend, if they have forgotten to spell C H R I S T M A S.

What if the WH gatecrashers had murder on their minds?
The "what if" question is too horrible to contemplate. It has been two weeks since the party and Obama's admin has still not divulged how the Salahis skipped through the check-points manned by hundreds of highly experienced individuals making up the core of the President's security detail. What are the chances that the President himself okayed their ingress, possibly just a few hours before the event, and now it will be all covered up, just like they have been covering up all their dirty messes.
Given Obama's easy and exuberant personality and knowing that he has been a close friend of the couple, it is not a stretch of the imagination to conclude that, that's what happened. This is possibly a colossal mistake made by the President himself for which blameless personnel will have to take the fall. Even if he wants to come clean and admit he was responsible for the Salahis presence, he will be advised not to. And, at this stage it is too late for him to admit it. Oh... what a tangled web we weave when first we start to deceive.
From now on, the Salahis will be holding an ace up their sleeves. They know how it happened and who made it possible and they will know when and how to play it. It has also come to light that :

Tareq Salahi served on the board of the American Task Force for Palestine, where Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi served as vice president…Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel. He has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism and was labeled by the State Department as a terror group.Obama's turnaround on the war front and on many other issues has likely made him an object of hatred, not only with muslims but also with the hard Left in his own country. The US Prez is still suffering under the mistaken delusion that everybody, including terrorists and their supporters, love him to pieces. Actually, many would want to blow him to pieces, that's what they are trained to do. This lapse in the security around the Prez should be taken as a colossal failure, because the consequences if things had gone wrong, would mean a civil war in America and thus a complete unravelling of the world as we know it.

What's happening in Saudi Arabia and Iran
Saudi Arabia: As reported in EarthTimes
Manama - The foreign ministers of Bahrain and Egypt Tuesday reaffirmed their support for Saudi Arabia as it continues to battle Yemeni rebels on its southern border. "The security and stability of Saudi Arabia is a vital matter for both our countries and we stand side by side with our brothers in Saudi Arabia as they defend their borders and citizens," Bahrain Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed al Khalifa said at a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Aboul Gheit in.
Both ministers expressed concern over Iran's nuclear programme and Aboul Gheit warned Tehran that the secrecy surrounding the programme represented a provocation to the international community.
He said that that by not adhering to the terms of the Non- Proliferation Treaty, Iran risked facing military action by the West or Israel, something that would affect not just Iran but also all the people in the region.

"One child per female" to save the planet
Words fail me. And, this from the Financial Post and from a female "journalist". At first I thought this was something that the magpies in Copenhagen were voicing aloud. Not so. Maybe I need to visit an optometrist, I don't think I read it right.
via Drudge: .....-If only one child per female was born as of now, the world's population would drop from its current 6.5 billion to 5.5 billion by 2050, according to a study done for scientific academy Vienna Institute of Demography.
-By 2075, there would be 3.43 billion humans on the planet. This would have immediate positive effects on the world's forests, other species, the oceans, atmospheric quality and living standards.
-Doing nothing, by contrast, will result in an unsustainable population of nine billion by 2050.
A planetary law, such as China's one-child policy, is the only way to reverse the disastrous global birthrate.

Aurora Borealis has found competition
via Matt Drudge:
....Curiously, it appears to be unconnected with the aurora borealis, or northern lights, the natural magnetic phenomena that can often be viewed in that part of the world. ...
The mystery began when a blue light seemed to soar up from behind a mountain in the north of the country. It stopped mid-air, then began to move in circles. Within seconds a giant spiral had covered the entire sky. Then a green-blue beam of light shot out from its centre - lasting for ten to 12 minutes before disappearing completely.....

How could I forget Glenn Beck ?
Forgive me Glenn, I was busy with Christmas decorations. Beck gives more proof (as if we needed it) that one of the main puppet masters in the world today is George Soros.

CBC out .... Daily Split in
We need a sensible news media to replace the dead wood CBC. CBC viewers, full of disgust, have moved on to other things... like reading blogs where they get more detailed news without the leftist slant. The leftwing CBC will never admit it would be dead and buried if not for the 1 Billion+ $s they get from taxpayers to keep it afloat.
Sarah Palin on "Copenhagen's political science"
Like it or not, without a doubt, Palin has become the most powerful woman in America.
Palin's piece in today's WashingtonPost clearly shows that his woman has graduated with honors from the University of Common Sense, the foremost institute of learning on this planet.
Over and besides, Palin is proving to be a very funny lady. The more she puts herself out there giving speeches, the more relaxed and confident she sounds, and amazingly a teleprompter is not her constant companion. Oh Lordy, Lordy, with Palin gaining more and more super powers, what is a leftie to do ?!!!

Iran : What's happening there
Our MSM will not tell us, just as they will not tell us about the Saudi Arabia and Yemeni ongoing battles, so we have to take the initiative and go looking for the news ourselves. I corresponded with a couple of "Iranian origins" bloggers from down south and the bits and pieces they have learned about yesterday's demonstrations are nicely bundled here by Melanie Phillips.

A Matchmaker's Catalog for female lefties
Matchmaker, matchmaker MariaS Nunes;
Find me a guy, no Right guys please.
The guy I am dreaming of must have a springy bed;
and tomatoes meant for Sawah must pelt a cop instead.
Matchmaker, matchmaker MariaS Nunes;
Find me a guy before I go on a freaking fizz.
He should be well-trained in using the can
And be able to throw pies at Coulter Ann
Matchmaker, matchmaker MariaS Nunes;
Snap to it please, I need a man.
He might look a bit like Balbulican;
But must punch cutouts of a President.
Matchmaker, matchmaker MariaS Nunes;
Put me in a straitjacket quick
His knuckles might be full of glass bits;
But my Medal of Honor will be his
Geez.... I could go on and on, but I will save you from my bad verse.... and let you just read this

Get me a guy who looks like this --------------->

But he should have wrecked somebody.

Born too soon
A techie girlfriend of mine has sent me this and says "We were born too soon". Yes, I agree. This invention is mind-blowing. I wonder what other wonders are in store for us as time goes by.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute researchers said they have developed a paper-thin battery by immersing a carpet of vertical nanotubes in an ionic liquid electrolyte. The result is a cellulose paper that stores electrical energy.
The RPI team produced a supercapacitor by placing a second nanotube electrode on the other side of the paper. They then added a lithium electrode atop the paper, creating what they claim is a paper-thin rechargable battery.
"The carbon nanotubes are embedded in the paper, and the electrolyte is soaked into the paper, so it really looks, feels and weighs about the same as paper," said RPI professor Robert Linhardt......

Some leaks ...er... links to do with the gathering of magpies
1) The UN Copenhagen climate talks are in disarray today after developing countries reacted furiously to leaked documents that show world leaders will next week be asked to sign an agreement that hands more power to rich countries and sidelines the UN's role in all future climate change negotiations.
2) ....Opening ceremonies began with a short film featuring children of the future facing an apocalypse of tempests and desert landscapes if world leaders failed to act today."There will be hundreds of millions of refugees," Rajendra Pachauri, head of the UN's panel of climate scientists, said in the film."Please help save the world," said a little girl, plaintively
3) Here is how the poem begins :
One thin September soon
A floating continent disappears
In midnight sun
Vapors rise as
Fever settles on an acid sea
4) "Well, I can tell you, privately when I talk to my friends, I use language much worse than that. This was purely private communications between friends, between, colleagues, they were letting off steam . I think we should see it as nothing more than that," Rajendra Pachauri, the Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) told CNN.
But wait, all is not lost. For every 1 magpie, there are 100 owls.
5) John Stossel to the fore.
6) David Berlinski: My own view, repeated in virtually all of my essays, is that the sense of skepticism engendered by the sciences would be far more appropriately directed toward the sciences than toward anything else. It is not a view that has engendered wide-spread approval. The sciences require no criticism, many scientists say, because the sciences comprise a uniquely self-critical institution, with questionable theories and theoreticians passing constantly before stern appellate review. Judgment is unrelenting. And impartial. Individual scientists may make mistakes, but like the Communist Party under Lenin, science is infallible because its judgments are collective. Critics are not only unwelcome, they are unneeded. The biologist Paul Gross has made himself the master of this attitude and invokes it on every conceivable occasion.
7) We had the "grandfather of climate change", James Hansen, describing the proceedings as counter-productive and "a farce", while the chief Saudi Arabian negotiator to the summit, Mohammed al-Sabban, doubts the current science and suggests there is no longer any point in seeking agreement to reduce emissions.

Roosevelt's address on Dec.7, 1941
How, when and why the USA attacked Japan.
Sarah Palin's reflection on Pearl Habor:
Sarah Palin's reflection on Pearl Habor:
On December 7, 1941, the Empire of Japan launched a surprise attack on the U. S. Naval Station at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, in which thousands of Americans lost their lives and our naval fleet was severely damaged. The events of that day, which President Franklin Roosevelt vowed would “live in infamy,” proved for many Americans that aggressors would not simply ignore us if we ignored them. The attack on Pearl Harbor launched America into the Second World War, and our Greatest Generation did not hesitate when asked to sacrifice for their country. American men enlisted in droves, American women went to work in the factories that became our “Arsenal of Democracy,” and many Americans gave what little money they had to buy the war bonds that funded it all. They stormed the beaches at Normandy and fought on little known islands in the Pacific in the name of liberty. They don’t ask for our thanks, but I hope we will continue to give it because the sacrifice that began at Pearl Harbor is one of the many events that have defined the United States of America as “the last best hope of man on earth.”
White House inmates to the rescue of Americans
There is no end to the madness of the Obama administration. How is it possible that there are so many Harvard educated inmates in the WH and all that comes out of their mouths is utter garbage?
The Obama administration formally declared Monday that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions pose a danger to the public's health and welfare, a move that lays the groundwork for an economy-wide carbon cap even if Congress fails to enact climate legislation
The move, announced by Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lisa P. Jackson, comes as the largest climate change conference in history gets underway in Copenhagen. It finalizes an initial "endangerment finding" by the government in April.
Speaking in an ornate room at EPA headquarters, Jackson said that greenhouse gases are "disrupting the natural balance in our atmosphere and changing our climate . . . The overwhelming amount of scientific evidence shows the threat is real.".......
Barf alert. Keep a pail handy.

Why Senator Anne Cools ? Why, Why, Why ???
It's not cool, not cool at all. I have information that the Human Trafficking Bill has been stalled in the Senate. Despite Herculean efforts by MP Joy Smith and a horde of women activists doing their best to spread the awareness of this plague raging in Canada, our elected lawgivers keep on disappointing us. How long will the citizens of Canada have to wait for Bill C-268 to become law ?
Naomi Baker of Canada Fights Human Trafficking cannot understand it either. "How is it possible that our Canadian Senate still holds back the passing of such a strongly supported Bill as Bill C-268; the institution of a five year minimum sentence for those trafficking children?" she asks as do many of us.
Baker and others like her know that children are the future of Canada. The prompt passing of Bill C-268 is imperative to the future growth and stability of our nation.
I believe the present halt in Senate for Bill C-268 is primarily due to independent Senator Anne Cools who has unilaterally adjourned debate on it. Why Senator Cools.......WHY, WHY, Why ????
