Who will cry for the Christians in Pakistan ?

Why is the world ignoring the plight of Christians in Pakistan? According to Catholic missionaries and monitors in Pakistan, Christians are harassed by their Muslim countrymen either by threatening telephone calls that say "convert to Islam or die" or direct warnings face to face.

Recently the Vatican Radio pleaded with the Pakistani Government to protect the minority Christian community and other minorities from the atrocities which are continuing unabated. August 28 was a bloody day in Quetta, Baluchistan province where 6 Christians were gunned down and several others sustained life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, in Mariamabad, close to a million placid and peaceful Pakistani Christians gathered for their annual "Marian" pilgrimage, when Christians from all over Pakistan come to give homage at the shrine of the Blessed Mary Mother of Christ in Lahore where they prayed for their persecutors.

The priest lead the congregation in a prayer with:
"We place the rehabilitation work for attacked Christians at the feet of Mother Mary. Let us pray and fast for the transformation of terrorists involved in the recent anti-Christian violence," Father Emmanuel Asi said in his address to Marian devotees. "We are a complete part of this country and want to become instruments of peace," added the priest, executive secretary of the Catholic Bible Commission of Pakistan.

Pakistan's Christian population is estimated to be close to 1.6 million. It is about time the Christians in Pakistan set aside their religious obligations and arm themselves with guns and other weaponry to defend themselves against this scum, and stop playing the proverbial sacrificial lambs. Imagine praying for the killers to change their minds about killing Christians. Geez.  No wonder Christians are such easy targets for these kind of people all over the world. Complete pushovers.

The killing of these innocents has been going on for months and although the Pakistani government keeps on making announcements that they are doing their best to protect the vulnerable, the Pakistani courts more often than not, add insult to injury by setting free the wrong doers without any penalty whatsoever, and within minutes of arresting them.

Just a few days ago, a local mosque in Sialkot region, during their Friday prayers, called to hunt down Christians. The mob stormed out in a frenzy and went on a rampage setting fire to a nearby church and ransacked houses on the pretext that a young Christian had desecrated the Koran. It was a falsehood as usual. All they wanted to do was take revenge on a young Christian man who was reputed to be having a relationship with a Muslim girl. The young man, Fanish 20 yrs old was arrested and thrown in prison while the authorities said they will "continue their investigation". Less than a week later, Fanish was found dead, killed in prison.

According to ABC news, in Oct 2008, dozens were gunned down in a church during a Sunday service. There is no rhyme or reason to the bloodshed, Muslim fundamentalist madmen do not need one and neither do their apologists and now it seems neither does the Pakistani government.

The incidents of Christians being killed in Pakistan are almost on a daily basis and of late have been coming in fast and furious, so many a day that even the media is bypassing the incidents for other more gory stuff. That's how quickly we get used to injustice being done to a people without a prominent voice to speak on their behalf. Gojra's Christian community are still in shock over the horror that they experienced in early August when more than eight people were burnt to death, including women and children, countless injured and more than 100 Christian houses burnt to cinders. The reason: false accusation of desecrating the Quran.

And, we are told again and again, that we should respect these people and respect their book and their religion. I definitely do not respect such books and will never even try not to despise such people. What is the government of Pakistan doing to stop this wholesale killing and burning of Christians in Pakistan? Zilch, nada, nothing, zero!! All they do is hold press conferences and make speeches that pledge to protect the minorities, but the reality is, they keep appeasing the majority Muslim population by not doing a stitch to bring to justice the perpetrators of these horrific crimes. Not one single Muslim has been brought to justice for killing and maiming hundreds of Christians in Pakistan. Makes me wonder why the government of a Christian  nation like Canada would support Pakistan whose government is condoning the slaughter of Christians.  And, it also makes me wonder, why the government of Canada would bring in Muslim refugees and spend millions of dollars on them,  often times to no avail, as they invariably turn out not to want to assimilate with Canadians or Canadian culture and wind up hating us fiercely, instead of bringing in Christians who are the victims of Muslim madness.   Yes, it makes me wonder about our Canadian law-makers each and every day.

  1. Careful now, I have been called a radical for saying that Islam makes women slaves. You will get hit by the lefty trolls for this kind of support for Christians.

A very good post. Where the MSM ignores human rights violations against Christians and Muslim women, blogs can bring it to light.
