70 days of unrest in Ferguson
If something is not done to quell this mini uprising, it's gonna blow up in everybody's faces.
And, guess what? A Missouri senator, Jamilah Nasheed was arrested last night with a gun in her possession. This is a senator who is known to be against guns!
From KMOV:
Missouri State Senator Jamilah Nasheed
had a gun in her possession at the time she was arrested Monday night outside the Ferguson Police Department, according to Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson.
Nasheed declined comment about the having the weapon, but did tell News 4 she has a concealed carry permit. A Ferguson police officer said Nasheed was carrying a fully-loaded 9 mm handgun and additional rounds.
Sources also told News 4 Ferguson police requested St. Ann to administer a breathalyzer test at the time of her arrest because she "smelled strongly of intoxicants," but Nasheed refused to do so. Nasheed said Tuesday she was not intoxicated at the time......
From CNN:
This is the new normal in Ferguson: Protests, day and night, for more than 70 days now.
Sometimes it's hundreds of demonstrators, sometimes just a handful. But they're always outside the Ferguson Police Department, clamoring for the indictment of Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of unarmed teenager Michael Brown.
And with new details about the investigation leaked, tensions are escalating.
On Monday night, St. Louis County police detained two protesters, including Missouri State Sen. Jamilah Nasheed. She was detained as she blocked traffic in the middle of the street while protesting outside the Police Department.
Now, there are fears about what could happen next. One protester put it succinctly:
"If there is not an indictment, excuse my French, all hell is going to break loose."..............
