Muslim crime wave in Canada ... Part XLII
391) ...Canadian named as suspect in Bulgaria terrorist bombing. Bulgaria has released the names and images of two suspects, including a Canadian, who are alleged to be involved in the bombing a year ago of a bus filled with Israeli tourists in the Black Sea resort of Burgas.
In a statement made public Thursday, Bulgaria’s Interior Ministry said the two suspects are a 25-year-old Canadian named Hassan El Hajj Hassan and 32-year-old Australian Meliad Farah, also known as Hussein Hussein.
Mr. Hassan, who was born on March 22, 1988, had previously been described by Canada as a dual national hiding in Lebanon.
392) On February 11, 2013, the U.S. Marshals Service arrested a 44-year-old man and his wife,41, in Los Angeles, California, in connection with a fraud investigation in Toronto.
On February 11, 2013, the Toronto Police Service arrested their son, 20, in Toronto, in connection with the same investigation.
On Thursday, July 25, 2013, the man and woman were extradited from Los Angeles,California, to Toronto.
It is alleged that:
- the accused, the 44-year-old man, purchased several life insurance policies totalling $3.525
million while living in the Toronto area
- the beneficiary of the man's life insurance policies was his wife
- in 2008, the man and his wife travelled to Iran from Toronto
- his wife falsely claimed her husband died of a heart attack while in Iran
- the man's wife and her son initiated the death-claims process with each of the insurance
companies to receive the benefits of his life insurance policy
- the insurance companies settled an insurance payout with the woman
- the insurance companies lost $1.01 million, and the money has not been recovered
The man, 44, and his wife, 41, of Mission Viejo, California, have each been charged with:
1) four counts of Fraud Over
The woman, 41, has also been charged with:
1) nine counts of Uttering a Forged Document
A man, 20, has been charged with:
- four counts of Uttering a Forged Document
- four counts of Fraud Over
The names of the accused are being withheld to protect the identity of a Young Person
393) .... On Thursday, May 9, 2013 at approximately 12:30 p.m., a lone male entered the Bank of Montreal located at 1315 Commissioners Road East with what
appeared to be a gun and demanded money. No one sustained any injuries as a result of the incident.
The suspect fled in a silver Volkswagon Passat which was found a short time later in the parking lot of 590 Millbank Drive, engulfed in flames. It was determined that the vehicle and the plate attached were stolen. The London Fire Department extinguished the fire and there was no damage to any other property.
On August 15, 2013, a 20-year-old male of London was arrested by the London Police Service. As a result of the investigation, Abdullah Youssef has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
- Three counts of robbery while armed with an offensive weapon or imitation, contrary to section 343(d);
- Arson, contrary to section 434;
- Use imitation firearm during the commission of an indictable offence, contrary to section 85(2)(a);
- Carry a concealed weapon, contrary to section 90(1);
- Have face masked or disguised with intent to commit an indictable offence, contrary to section 351(2);
- Two counts of possession of stolen property, contrary to
section 354(1); and
- Disqualified operation of a motor vehicle, contrary to section 259(4).....
394) The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a significant cash and drug
seizure and arrest of two men and one woman.
On Monday, July 29, 2013, at 1:40 a.m., police responded to a call for a break-and-enter in
progress at a condo in the Legion Road and Lake Shore Boulevard West area.
It is alleged that:
- police located two large safes which had been stolen from a condo
- police located $1.2 million in the two safes
After further investigation, on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, police executed four search warrants at
homes and vehicles in Toronto.
It is also alleged that:
- police seized a quantity of cocaine and Oxycontin pills, valued at $340.000
- police also seized an additional $800,000 in Canadian currency
On Tuesday, July 30, 2013, Nada Alibegovic, 56, of Toronto, was arrested.
She has been charged with:
1) Possession of Proceeds of Crime
On Tuesday, July 30, 2013, Sani Alibegovic, 30, of Toronto, was arrested and charged.
1) two counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime,
2) Possession for the Purpose controlled substance
3) Possession of Proceeds of Crime.........
395) Toronto police have a man in custody who is accused of importing 150 kilograms of heroin into London’s Heathrow Airport in 2010.
Police allege that Adnanul Jaigirdar, 37, also known as Amzad Chowdhry fled to Canada under an assumed name.
Toronto police arrested the man on Friday with the help of Interpol and London’s Metropolitan Police Service.
He is currently in custody in Toronto, pending extradition proceedings....
396) Hanad Mohamed has been released
on bail less than a week after the Crown downgraded charges he faced in connection to Anthony Smith’s murder.
397) On Friday, August 9, 2013 at 2:09 a.m., police received a call for a shooting at the Cobra nightclub, at 501 King Street West.
It is alleged that:
- a dispute between a group of men took place inside the Cobra nightclub
- during the incident, shots were fired, injuring one of the men
Two men have been arrested and charged.

2. Weapons Dangerous
Mohamed Salim, 28, of Toronto, is charged with:
1. Pointing a Firearm
2. Attempt Murder
3. Discharge Firearm Endanger Life
4. Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
5. Unauthorized Possession Firearm
6. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device
7. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
8. two counts of Breach of Recognizance.........
398) ....On Wednesday, June 20, 2013, the Toronto Police Service issued a news release regarding a
sexual assault investigation.
It was reported that:
- on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at 11:30 p.m., a 21-year-old woman was walking in the Bayview
Avenue/Burbank Drive area
- a man approached her, sexually assaulted her, and fled on foot.
Ali Hussein Abu Khalil, 48, of Ajax, is wanted for:
1) Sexual Assault
He is described as white, with a tan complexion, 5'7", medium build with a brush cut
399) A 31-year-old Richmond Hill man has been found guilty of Second Degree Murder in connection
with the 2011 homicide of a 27-year-old Toronto man.
On Sunday, July 28, 2013, a Superior Court of Justice jury found Mohand MOHAMED, 31, guilty
of Second Degree Murder in connection with the death of Arash Elijah BAKHTARYANI. The offence carries with it a mandatory life sentence.
Mr. MOHAMAD will appear in court again on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. to determine his parole eligibility.
Mr. MOHAMED has been in custody since his arrest on February 21, 2011 in the City of Ottawa. ....
400) Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with pointing a bright-light source (laser) at the York Regional Police helicopter, Air2, in the Town of Richmond Hill.
On Sunday, July 21, 2013, at approximately 1 a.m., Air2 was in the area of Carville Road and Yonge Street assisting ground officers responding to a weapons call. During the search, the pilot encountered several laser strikes and took evasive action for the safety of the crew and the aircraft.
Air2 was able to identify the location of the laser and directed uniform officers to a residence located in the area of Newkirk Road and Major Mackenzie Drive.
On Wednesday, July 24, 2013, investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant on an Essex Avenue residence. During the search a bright-light source device was seized from the residence, along with drugrelated items. The accused was arrested without incident and transported to #2 District Headquarters.

401) Officers with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit, working in partnership with members of the Durham Regional Police Service, have executed search warrants at nine residences across the GTA and charged seven people with robbery-related offences.
Project Davock is an investigation into armed robberies at cellular telephone stores which began after such an incident occurred in the City of Markham in December 2012. Through collaborative efforts between our Hold-Up Unit and the Durham Regional Police Service Robbery Unit, and with the support of the Toronto Police Service Hold-Up Unit, suspects were identified and linked to similar retail robberies in Ajax and Pickering. On July 23, 2013, search warrants were executed at nine residences across the GTA. The
Hold-Up investigators were assisted by members of the York Regional Police Guns and Gangs Unit and the Durham Regional Police Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit, the York Regional Police Emergency Response Unit, as well as by members of the Emergency Task Forces of the Toronto Police Service,
Durham Regional Police Service and Peel Regional Police. The success of this project would not have been possible if not for the cooperation and strong partnerships forged between all of the involved police agencies

402) ....The Calgary Police Service has charged a man in relation to a 2004 homicide.
Just after 3 a.m., on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, officers were called to a parking lot in the 1200 block of 1 Street S.W., for reports of an injured man. The man was transported to hospital but died a short time later.
An autopsy confirmed Shane JOHNSON, 23, died as the result of a stabbing.
At approximately 4 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, Yousuf BIKILA, 33, was arrested in the 3700 block of 17 Ave S.W. and charged with first-degree murder.
403) A former Ottawa high-tech executive has been found guilty of conspiring to bribe several government officials in India, including a former aviation minister, in a foreign bribery case that is the first of its kind to be tried in Canada.
Nazir Karigar, an Indian-Canadian businessman, plotted to distribute at least $450,000 in bribes to decision makers at state-owned Air India as well as Praful Patel, an Indian cabinet minister who oversaw the airline at the time, in return for a contract to provide the airline with security technology, Justice Charles Hackland of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice ruled Thursday.
404) On August 2, 2013, a male called a provincial support program located in Guelph, where due to past
behavior he had been trespassed from entering the premise.
A number of phone messages were left by the male that had extreme profanity and were belligerent and
threatening in nature.
Samir IBRAHIM, 54 years of Guelph, was charged with criminal harassment and utter threats to
cause bodily harm. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing
