Iraq's civil war progress report

Shiites getting massacred every which way they turn.  Sunnis have that extra adrenaline supply coming  from their Western masters that keep them going from one bombing to the next without a bead of sweat on their brows.  Paid  hitmen of the Sunni sheikdoms and their buddies.

From CNN:
.....Tensions festered    in Iraq Wednesday after nearly 50 people died and dozens of others were wounded in a string of bombings mostly in and around Baghdad, police said
The bloodshed occurred during an intense time in Iraq. The country has endured months of escalating violence stemming from decades-old discord between the nation's Sunnis and Shiites, the two largest branches of Islam. And the government says it is gearing up if the Syrian conflict next door escalates.
Seventeen attacks unfolded in and around Iraq's capital, primarily in Shiite areas, police said. Police believe the strikes -- which killed 46 people -- occurred over a two-hour period and appeared to be coordinated.......

From DailyStar:
....A bomb hidden inside a pickup truck   loaded with vegetables exploded in a market north of Baghdad, the deadlier of two vehicle bombings that killed 24 people in Iraq on Thursday.

The blasts in the city of Samarra and the Baghdad suburb of Abu Ghraib are the latest in a seemingly unrelenting wave of violence pounding Iraq a decade after the U.S.-led invasion. They follow a spate of car bombings and other attacks a day earlier that killed at least 82.

The pickup truck bomb responsible for most of Thursday's deaths tore through a market in Samarra, killing 18 and wounding 32, according to police.........

From Yahoo:
....More than a dozen bomb blasts    ripped through Shiite districts in and around Baghdad on Wednesday, the bloodiest in a wave of attacks that killed 68 people across Iraq.

The worst of the bloodshed struck the capital and surrounding areas in a spate of apparently coordinated car bombings and suicide attacks during morning rush-hour.

Angry residents of one neighbourhood chased down a suspected attacker and killed him before setting his corpse ablaze..........
