Definitely not a quitter - Palin is here to stay

In an op-ed piece in Tuesday's Washington Post, Palin attacks the administration's so-called cap-and-trade plan that would allow industrial sources to buy and sell pollution permits. The plan, Palin writes, is "an enormous threat to our economy. It would undermine our recovery over the short term and would inflict permanent damage." She adds: "In addition to immediately increasing unemployment in the energy sector, even more American jobs will be threatened by the rising cost of doing business under the cap-and-tax plan." Instead, the former Republican vice presidential nominee says: "We are ripe for economic growth and energy independence if we responsibly tap the resources that God created right underfoot on American soil. Just as important, we have more desire and ability to protect the environment than any foreign nation from which we purchase energy today." read more

  1. We are ripe for economic growth and energy independence if we responsibly tap the resources that Zeus created right underfoot on American soil.

    There, I've fixed that for you.

    Oh go ahead, prove that Zeus doesn't exist.

  2. I join you in prayer for Sarah's ongoing success. No other so-called conservative exemplifies real Republican values as perfectly as she does. I can't wait until she runs in 2012.

  3. Truth from the mouth of a so-called Liberal - for once.

  4. Anon at 12:49 - I will leave the proving part to you. Did'nt you take that breath course on Arts and Greek mythology?

  5. Maria, I don't get your comment at all. However, I will publicly state that I'm behind Balbulican 100%. I think Palin is the best candidate for the GOP and I think everyone should nominate her for the 2012 run. With her base AND every Democrat behind her, why wouldn't the GOP want her? What could possibly go wrong?

  6. If Balbulican is not the Liberal troll I thought he was, then he has my profound apologies.
    I had seen the same handle somewhere else where only liberal spiel was coming out of his mouth -maybe it was some other poster with a similar handle.
    Sorry Balbulican.

  7. No apology necessary. I'm not and have never been a Liberal. I am a lefty, and some have called me a troll, but I don't think I am, unless you're one of those folks for whom "troll" just means "disagrees with me."

    In any case, I am quite sincere about Sarah, and I dearly hope she's the Republican standard bearer for 2012.

  8. Maria, I agree with you, I hope and pray that Palin runs for the GOP in 2012,... it will be the best thing to ever happen to the GOP

  9. I'm all for Sarah Palin as the GOP representative in 2012! She'll turn the party around!

  10. The trick for a Sarah run at the Presidency would be the selection of a Vice-Presidential candidate. Given the divisions currently separating the wings of the Party and the unfair criticism leveled at Sarah on issues like experience and global knowledge, it would have to be someone who:
    - can link the "old" Republicans with the new, emerging,re-energized wing of the Party;
    - stands four-square for traditional American values;
    - has political experience and credentials at the most senior level.

    The choice is obvious. It's time to draft Dan Quayle.

  11. I also agree. Anyone who can write emails on behalf of the holiest of Pastas deserves the presidency.

    Oh please, thy Spaghettiness... Will thy bring about the the ticket of "Palin/Quayle 2012" and bless them with thy noodly appendage?

  13. I'm telling you guys: Palin/Prejean 2012! They've got the crazy Christian beauty pageant queen vote locked down!

  14. The fact that none of you biased MSM folk have given one iota of attention to a potential Palin/Bachmann ticket just illustrates what the path of the GOP ought to me. Quayle would be nice and all, but he's just not as politically astute or intelligent as Michelle Bachmann.

    Some of you heathen might ask "what does god need with a blog post", but I'm eating spaghetti tonight nonetheless.
