201) ....A judge has convicted a former Toronto cabbie of criminal negligence causing bodily harm for mangling the leg of a cyclist during a late-night road rage dispute.
Justice John McMahon found Sultan Ahmed showed a “wanton or reckless disregard” for the safety and life of the cyclist.
The Ontario Superior Court judge also found Ahmed guilty of failing to remain at an accident after hitting cyclist Krzysztof (Chris) Kasztelewicz as Kasztelewicz stood beside his bike, which was leaning against a lamp pole.
“The accused deliberately, in an angered state, drove backwards while looking where he was going, mounted the curb and struck the pole, the bike and the complainant,” McMahon said.
But the judge found he had a reasonable doubt that the cabbie intended to deliberately hit the cyclist rather than just his bike, so acquitted him of the more serious charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon – his taxi.....

202)   on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 1:30 a.m., at 228 Queen's Quay West, a man and woman were in an elevator when two men approached them
− both men assaulted the man and woman;− both men struck the man over the head with a bottle; − both stole property belonging to the victims;− one of the men was arrested in the building;− the second man fled the scene Abdikader Youssuf, 21, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) two counts of Assault 2) Forcible Confinement 3) Assault with a Weapon 4) Assault Causing Bodily Harm 5) Weapons Dangerous 6) Robbery

203) A man who grew up in an African family where his father had multiple wives was put behind bars Friday for sexually assaulting his wife's 16-year-old sister 30 years ago. The 66-year-old Toronto man, who can only be identified as V.A. due to a publication ban put in place to protect the identity of the victim, was sentenced to three years in prison in Edmonton's Court of Queen's Bench
...The matter came to the attention of police when the victim, who has suffered anger and depression and been in ongoing therapy since 1991, launched a complaint in 2009....

204)   ...Said Namouh is an unrepentant terrorist. From his apartment in Quebec, he spread al-Qaeda propaganda over the Internet and posted anonymous messages threatening the West with “slaughter” and urging violence until “religion will be for Allah alone.”
A Quebec court convicted him in 2009 of four counts under the Anti-Terrorism Act, including participation in a terrorist group, extortion of a foreign government and plotting a bomb attack with a co-conspirator in Europe.
Once he has served his federal prison time, Canada intends to deport him back to his native Morocco. But now Namouh is quietly asking Ottawa to let him stay on “humanitarian and compassionate” grounds.

1) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle; 2) Careless Storage of a Prohibited Weapon
3) Careless Storage of Ammunition; 4) Prohibited Weapon in Vehicle; 5) Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition; 6) Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

206)   On Saturday, September 17, 2011,  at 4 a.m., police responded to a call for a shooting at Clarendon Wild Flowers Restaurant and Bar, 462 Birchmount Road.
It is reported that:− police located a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound; He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Evrod Gordon, 48, also known as Rockford, of Toronto.
On Friday, June 8, 2012, Ahmed Jama, 31, of Ajax, surrendered himself to police at 42 Division.
He is charged with Second Degree Murder.

207) ...Today, the Ottawa Police Street Crime Unit, with support from Neighbourhood, Central District Support and East District Support officers, is completing a five-month investigation in the ByWard Market and Downtown Rideau area targeting street level drug trafficking....
39 individuals were charged out of  the 108 arrested.  Some of those charged are: ABDI, Liban, 33yrs, Ottawa, Abu-GHOSH, Hussein, 22yrs, Ottawa, Al-SHAMMARI, Ahmed, 21yrs, Ottawa, Al-SHAMMARI, Bader, 18yrs, Ottawa  BIHI, Abraham, 23yrs, Toronto,  TRAORE, Mohamed, 19yrs, Gatineau,  SARITOPRAK, Ihsan, 35yrs, Ottawa.

208) Ottawa) — Members of the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Section have charged a 58 year old male at the conclusion of a Sexual Assault investigation that is alleged to have occurred between June 1st 1999 and October 31st 1999.   Hooshang AYOUBLOO is charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of Sexual Interference.

209)  (Ottawa)–The three individuals sought by Ottawa Police  in relation to Project ACE have all been arrested in recent days.
Ashley WINDEBANK was arrested on May 19, 2012 and Cheryl METCALFE was arrested prior. Their charges are still before the courts. Mr. Saed SHEIKHDOON turned himself in to Ottawa Police on May 24, 2012. He appeared in court yesterday.

210)  Investigators from 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested three men in connection to the kidnapping of a Mississauga man.
The 17 year old victim was taken forcibly from his residence on June 11, 2012, in the area of Deer Run and was transported to another residence on Otterby Road, Mississauga. After being held for a few hours the victim was released, and he contacted police. Investigators located and arrested the parties responsible at 3:50 p.m. The victim received minor injuries.
Bruno MARIA FRANCIS, age 26, of Mississauga, Gravin PHILLIP, age 19, of Toronto, are each charged with;
Unlawfully in a Dwelling Kidnapping Forcible Confinement Assault Robbery
Naqash ABBASI, age 22, of Mississauga, is charged with: Forcible Confinement Assault Robbery
