Surprisingly, Putin. Yes, Russia is no doubt backing a tyrant in Bashar al-Assad, but Putin is correct that it is not the job of the United States or the West to overthrow the Syrian government. We have had enough US-led regime change in the Middle East. It repeatedly leads to disaster. It is time for Middle East region to sort out its own problems without Western meddling.

Day 2 of Lebanon's new civil war

In a few hours of fighting between the Lebanese army and the  followers of salafi fanatic Sheikh Ahmad Assir,  12 soldiers lay dead.  Conflicting figure on number of  injuries suffered by the military and there are conflicting reports of salafi deaths.  One forum says,  not a single Sunni was killed by Lebanese fire ... that's very, very doubtful.

Why do I get this feeling that the Lebanese army's heart is not in the fighting ?   Is the army made up of mostly Sunnis with a sprinkling of Christians and the Sunnis are not aiming to kill their fellow Sunnis?  How many of the soldiers killed were actually Lebanese Christians?  How many were Shiites? Something's not right.
This post will be updated if I get a proper count of  the Sunni dead. Simply can't  believe that only the army blokes were blown away.

Great day for Ontario: Uneducated Minister Laurel Broten quits

The only thing this woman had been well-versed in, is how to jump scandal ridden sinking ships.

She should have gone long ago. The harm done to the kids of Ontario during her tenure as the Minister of Education will be felt in the next few decades when we see sex related criminal cases and when delved into the background of the culprits, it will be revealed that they had spent their formative years in the schools of Ontario under the tutelage of the sex-driven agenda approved by the obscene Laurel Broten with support from the equally obscene and equally uneducated ex-Premier Dalton McGuinty. What a heavy black cloud to resign under!  But, why are we surprised?  The Left has no shame whatsoever.  In an accountable society, both these individuals would have been in jail for the harm they have wrought on Ontario, and in Dalton's case it was not only in the education sector  but in everything he touched.

Besides the depraved sexual education for tots, who can forget the Islamic prayer sessions in school cafeterias which went on under the education ministership of this immensely stupid woman  where girls had to sit way behind the boys and  menstruating girls had to sit almost near the exit?   We should not ever forgot that?!

Halifax parents please make sure that this woman does not go anywhere near your children's education. She will prefer to teach them sexual perversity more than anything else.  She might even introduce them  to Islamic prayers and conversion to that cult.

....After nearly 10 years as an MPP, Liberal cabinet minister Laurel Broten is leaving politics.

Broten, Ontario's intergovernmental affairs minister, announced Sunday in a release that "it is time for me to look forward to the challenges of the next chapter in my career."

The MPP for Etobicoke-Lakeshore said she told Premier Kathleen Wynne she will step down as of July 2. She and her family will move to Halifax.

"I want to thank my friend Laurel for her dedication and hard work on behalf of the people of Etobicoke-Lakeshore and all of Ontario," Premier Kathleen Wynne said in a statement.

"For more than nine years, Laurel has been an integral member of our team, having served in such diverse portfolios as minister of children and youth services, minister of the environment and minister of education. In these roles and in everything she did, Laurel was a tireless advocate for the women of Ontario."

A lawyer, Broten was first elected to the Ontario legislature in 2003 after losing to Progressive Conservative Morley Kells in 1999.

"Throughout my life, I have always believed that change is good. That, in fact, change is really the only constant in our lives," Broten said, adding her decision was a difficult one to make........

According to a survey of Arab elites,  Turkey is the leading country in the region. There are important lessons for Turkish foreign policy to be learned from this survey.
An academic team from Istanbul’s Fatih University carried out a in-depth survey of perceptions of Turkey in the region. They worked for four months in Iraq, Syria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine. Associate Professor Savas Genc, who led the work, said that the survey was based on interviews with 400 people and did not intend to study the Arab street, but rather elites who are influential in decision-making mechanisms. The survey concluded that there is a consensus in all the countries on two issues: Turkey is having more say in international politics, and Turkish democracy is a source of inspiration for Middle Eastern countries. Another conclusion that can be reached is that Turkey is seen as an undisputed leader, with 33% [choosing Turkey]. Meanwhile, Iran is the second most influential country, with 25%.

There are also lessons to be learned from the survey for Turkish foreign policy. Most important is that 53% of those surveyed feel Turkey is following a pro-Sunni sectarian foreign policy. Second, there is a significant perception that Turkey is acting as the patron of the Ottoman lands. Third, [Arab elites] generally think Turkey supports democratization in Arab countries because of its common interests with Western countries. Except for Palestine, all Arab countries oppose a Kurdish state in the region, while 98% of [those surveyed in] Israel want it. This is more than the Kurds themselves [81.5%]. Only Israel and Palestine criticize Turkey’s Syria policy and call on Turkey to stay neutral instead of supporting he Syrian opposition. If we note here that Israel prefers a Syria divided along ethnic and sectarian lines after Assad, it's easier to understand why it wants Turkey to stay neutral....

Sidon, a Mediterranean port, is a mostly Sunni city whose population largely sympathizes with the Sunni-led insurgency in Syria.

The clashes in Sidon pitted the Lebanese Army against the armed followers of Sheik Ahmad al-Assir, who has earned national fame through a series of stunts in the news media and public calls for the disarming of the Shiite group Hezbollah, Lebanon’s strongest military force, which has been fighting in Syria on the side of the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

While it is unclear how the clashes began Sunday, the army accused Sheik Assir’s gunmen of carrying out a “coldblooded” attack on an army position “in order to plunge Lebanon into another cycle of violence.”

371) The Ottawa Police Service  Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section (SACA) has charged a man following a report of inappropriate touching that occurred at an outdoor swimming pool located in the 2700 block of Carousel Crescent in Ottawa.
On June 5th at approximately 5:47pm, a woman reported to Ottawa Police that she was inappropriately touched by a man. Shortly after the incident, officers arrested a suspect at a residence located in the 2700 block of Carousel Crescent.
The Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit has charged Ahmed ALQAHTANI, 65 years old, of Saudi Arabia, with Sexual Assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 7, 2013........

Carafa also faces the charges of Possess Counterfeit Mark, Possess Identity Document and Posses Schedule I Drug. Rahman also faces the charges of Breach Probation x2. Both were held for bail hearings.

375) Aviva Canada is applauding the work of the Toronto Police   Service (TPS) after they laid charges against four individuals involved in allegedly staging an auto accident. The purported collision in the city’s west end resulted in over $45,000 in claims costs to two automobile insurers.
It is alleged that in January 2012, four individuals participated in a staged auto collision between two vehicles at the intersection of Dixon Road and Martin Grove Road in Toronto. After illegal activity was suspected, the insurers involved in the claim, Aviva Canada and The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company, retained engineers to reconstruct the reported accident and determined that one of the vehicles had apparently deliberately rammed the other multiple times.
The vehicle insured by Aviva contained two occupants who both had medical treatment costs submitted on their behalf by a west end Toronto clinic.  Evidence collected during the investigation revealed that the vehicle occupants were asked to sign multiple treatment plans by employees at the clinic. The investigation into the clinic involvement continues.

Driver in vehicle number one, Rakio Shire, with public mischief, fraud over $5,000, uttering a forged document and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence;

The Lebanese Al Mayadeen TV channel, affiliated with Hezbollah, broadcast on, Thursday (May 30, 2013,) an interview with Mohammad Ismail Saleh Jarallah (محمد إسماعيل صالح جارالله), a would-be suicide bomber, who was captured alive by Syrian troops. Jarallah, also known with his nom de guerre Abu Qa'aqa' (أبو القعقاع), is a Jordanian citizen who joined the ranks of Jabhat al-Nusra, the leading force of the Syrian rebels and affiliated with al-Qaeda. Jabhat al-Nusra was designated in 2012 as a terrorist organization by the US.
In October 2012 Jarallah infiltrated into Syria and met several operatives of Jabhat al-Nusra in a school in the village of Maaraba (معربا) located north of Damascus. According to Jarallah, four operatives were foreign nationals, one German and the other Turkish, Qatari and Saudi.
After undergoing semi- military training Jarallah was dispatched on February 21, 2013 for carrying out a suicide bombing attack in Damascus with two other operatives: Abu Dajana (أبو دجانة), Canadian citizen, and Khatab (خطاب), Palestinian who lived in Jordan. Abu Dajana was assigned to park a vehicle laden with explosives in a predesignated spot near military target, and then leave as soon as possible the area. The plan went wrong as the vehicle driven by Abu Dajana exploded prematurely killing him and injuring badly Jarallah who was unable to detonate the explosives in his vehicle.
Jamal Muhammad Abdulkader (محمد جمال عبد القادر), Canadian born and Montreal resident, was officially reported as missing since February 21, 2013, the same day the suicide bombing attack was carried out in Damascus, which also claimed the life of dozens.............

378) Convicted child abuser Mac Bool Hassan apparently hanged himself rather than face prison time after being found guilty of eight years of repeated sexual assaults on a young girl placed in his care by the Toronto Children’s Aid Society.
Hassan, 50, was scheduled to attend Superior Court on University Ave. Tuesday to hear sentencing arguments before Justice Faye McWatt.
Assistant Crown attorney Heather Keating stunned those in the courtroom when she announced that Hassan had been found hanging by a rope in the house where he committed sexual offences over a period of at least eight years against an underaged girl in his care.
He was free on bail at the time of his death.....

382)A Calgary man is now facing charges  following a human trafficking investigation where a woman was being prostituted via an online advertising site.
In April, 2013, CPS patrol officers responded to a domestic assault complaint in the downtown core. Upon interviewing the victim, the Vice Unit was called in and began an investigation into allegations of human trafficking. Following a two month investigation, a local man was arrested Thursday June 13, 2013, without incident.  Mohamed KASSIM  27, of Calgary, has been charged with trafficking in persons, receiving material benefit from trafficking in persons, living off the avails of prostitution, procuring, extortion, forcible confinement, assault and possession of a controlled substance..

 NATO's  peace partners the Taliban, gleefully  claimed responsibility.  They now expect a congratulatory message from the USA, UK, France, Germany and all the other dhimmi fucks of the Judeo-Christian countries we have foolishly voted to the positions from which they plan making  the entire world into a Caliphate.

Gunmen have killed 11 people including at least nine foreign tourists, after storming a hotel in northern Pakistan.

The nationalities of the victims have not been fully confirmed, although they include a number of Ukrainians and Chinese. One Pakistani also died.

The assault happened at the base camp of Nanga Parbat, the world's ninth highest mountain, in Gilgit-Baltistan.

It is the first such attack on tourists in the region. The Pakistani Taliban has told the BBC it was responsible.

A spokesman for Tehrik-e-Taliban said the attack was in retaliation for the killing of its second-in-command, Waliur Rehman, who died in a suspected US drone strike in May.

The group said it would continue to target foreigners.......

Time magazine's  double standards are vomit inducing.  The rag has  put Buddhist monk Ashin Wirathu's face on its cover titling it The Face of Buddhist Terror.  I don't seem to recall them ever titling anything as "The Face of Muslim Terror".   The downfall of the USA started long ago with the willing dhimmihood status taken on by  its media and the brainwashing of its public undertaken by Hollywood.

The Buddhists should never forget what the Muslims did to the world heritage giant statues of Gautama Buddha in Afghanistan....and from what's happening in Burma these days, it's good to see they haven't and they never will.  I wish we Christians were as determined  as the Buddhists in the Face of Muslim Terror.

The Buddhist monk arrived wrapped in saffron-colored robes with an entourage of muscular, younger monks who guarded him and hung on his every word at the sprawling monastery he runs and where his divisive, anti-Muslim teaching is gaining a strong following.

The monk, Ashin Wirathu, was unapologetic when asked about his role at the center of a rising tide of Buddhist extremism that has crested in a wave of anti-Muslim violence resulting in the deaths of more than 200 people and displacement of some 150,000 from their homes in recent months.

“Muslims are like the African carp. They breed quickly and they are very violent and they eat their own kind. Even though they are minorities here, we are suffering under the burden they bring us,” Wirathu, 48, said in a rare and wide-ranging interview with GlobalPost on Thursday.

“Because the Burmese people and the Buddhists are devoured every day, the national religion needs to be protected,” he said, announcing that he would push for a ban on interfaith marriage before the next parliamentary session and vowing to continue the so-called “969” campaign that calls for Buddhists to only do business with other Buddhists and exclude Muslims who have a strong tradition as merchants in Myanmar.

Myanmar, also known as Burma, is made of eight major ethnic groups, but 90 percent of the population is Buddhist. About 5 percent of the population is Muslim and the rest are a mix of Christian and Hindu.....

Wirathu has also pushed a ban against interfaith marriage, claiming that the Buddhist majority is diluted by such marriages and reeling off one anecdote after another of forced conversions of Buddhist women to Islam. The indictment handed up in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va. charges Eric Harroun, 30, with conspiring to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization and with conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction overseas. The weapons, according to the indictment (posted here), were rocket-propelled grenades and grenades. He faces up to life in prison if convicted...........

Someone copied my photo and set up a new Facebook account in the name of another anti-jihadist, Pakistani-Canadian, Tahir Aslam Gora, in the hope that I would report Gora to Facebook and to the police. Meanwhile, the fake “Phyllis Chesler” began contacting all my real Facebook friends under the name of “Fatai Chesler.” Many were savvy enough to ask this unknown entity what books I had written or where I was born. His fake bio for me placed me in Toronto.

I definitely do not live in Toronto.

Tahir Aslam Gora (the real one) is a novelist and poet, the founder of the Canadian Thinkers’ Forum and the Muslim Committee Against Anti-Semitism.

He’s a “lantsman,” a colleague, an ally, one of the brave ones—although he is someone I have yet to meet. Please allow me to thank the hacker for introducing us. But why did he (or she) do so at this moment in time?

Last night, I saw the New York screening of counter-terrorism expert Steve Emerson’s film “Jihad in America: The Grand Deception.”

It is a sobering, even stunning film about the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in our country, also known as the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim Student Association, Students for Justice in Palestine, etc.; as Hamas in Gaza; Hezbollah in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran; and that the MB may be the template for Al-Qaeda and for all such jihadist Sharia-oriented groups who dream of a global Caliphate.......


IMO, the hackers probably  were livid at  Canadian-Muslim  Tahir Aslam Gora  because they expect all Muslims to be Jew haters and they were not expecting him to vigorously condemn an anti-semitic attack on a Canadian-Jewish home.

Sunni Muslim suicide bombing atrocities of the last few days s

I wonder why only Sunni Muslims are eager to blow themselves up.  One never hears ( I have been unable to unearth even one incidence of a Shiite suicide bomber with a cursory search of the internet) of suicide bombers from the Shiite Muslim community.  I wonder why that is.  Someone somewhere must have a credible analysis on this strangeness.  No matter what the Sunni terrorists do to the Shiites, the Shiites will just not blow themselves up in revenge and neither are they eager to go meet their 72 virgins.  They fight back in other less barbaric ways.  A cursory search of the internet also refused to yield up any beheading done by a Shiite Muslim.  There must be proof  of  at least one incidence ... but where is it?
Conclusion I have come to unless proven otherwise:  Sunni Muslims are the ones committing gross atrocities by  suicide bombings and beheadings.

Suicide Bomb, Shootings Kill 9 Northern Iraq.  A suicide car bomb and other militant attacks killed nine people in northern Iraq on Saturday, officials said, the latest in a wave of violence that has killed nearly 2,000 Iraqis since the start of April.
The deadliest attack was in al-Athba village near the northern city of Mosul, when a suicide car bomber rammed his explosives-laden car into a police patrol, a police officer said. Three civilian bystanders and one policeman died while six other people were wounded, he added.
With violence spiking sharply in recent months to levels not seen since 2008, al-Qaida in Iraq and other militant groups have been gathering strength in the area of Mosul, some 360 kilometers (220 miles) northwest of Baghdad....

Danger signs all over the Egyptian landscape

Something pretty bad has been going on in Egypt while we were distracted with Turkey and Syria.  USA's decision to send the 400 riot control troops is probably because on June 30 mass demos are expected to take place  demanding Morsi resignation .... and the USA does not want another repeat of Benghazi in yet another  country.  There are hundreds, if not thousands of Americans  in Egypt.

The vid below is showing just one of the multitude of Egyptian imams instigating the congregation to go do jihad and mayhem in Syrian and kill as many non-Sunni Syrians they can find.  Check out the mad crowd calling Assad a coward because he has not sent his army to the Golan Heights.  Hear that Israel ?   They despise him even more because he has been doing his best to keep peace with you.

Good News: Germany blocks Turkey worming into the EU ...

for now anyway.  Islamists know how to bid their time and wait patiently to pounce for the kill.   And, it wasn't just Germany.  One other EU nation too blocked the processing of the application. Pushing ahead with the EU accession talks as scheduled next week would have required unanimous approval at a meeting of top diplomats representing the EU's 27 member nations in Brussels on Thursday.

But Germany and another nation expressed reservations and blocked the move, the diplomat said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the closed-door meeting publicly. The diplomat declined to name the second nation.

Human rights groups have said that the protests in Turkey have left more than 5,000 people injured and more than 3,000 were detained, then released...........

On just one of the numerous atrocities of the Sunni Muslims in Syria

....A massacre of Shiite militiamen and other villagers by al-Qaeda in Hatla, Deir al-Zor, Syria, is sending shock waves through the Middle East, which has already witnessed a sharpening of conflict between Sunni Muslims and their Shiite neighbors in recent years.

This video of the al-Qaeda types exulting over the cadavers of the dead Shiites  [later reports made clear this was a Twelver village] and calling them pigs and dogs is sufficiently graphic and disturbing that I’m just linking to it for the strong of stomach, not embedding it here. In Arabic, the overwrought al-Qaeda fighter admonishes the Kuwaiti Sunnis to polish off their own Shiites (Shiites are 15-30% of the Kuwaiti population). He seems to imply that the Alawite rulers of Syria are getting support from Kuwaiti Shiites, which doesn’t strike me as very likely. That they are sending aid to Hizbullah would make more sense. The Nusayris or Alawis are folk Shiites who are not viewed as Shiites or even Muslims by many of the Twelver Shiites of Lebanon, Iraq and Iran. Hizbullah is not supporting Alawites because it thinks they are Shiites! It thinks Syria is useful the way it is, to Hizbullah.

The Syrian conflict is not about religion, even a little bit. Nor is the divide in Islam between Sunnis and Shiites always a salient determinant of politics or social action. But it is true that most Alawites, Christians, Druze and other small minorities either support the secular Baath government of Bashar al-Assad or at least are afraid of elements of the opposition. But so too do substantial numbers of Sunni Syrians support the government or decline to come out against it. The rebels are largely Sunni, but some of them are relatively secular-minded, or are Sufi mystics. A small number are radicals who have declared an affiliation with al-Qaeda, but this group has been disproportionately successful on the battlefield, in part because it receives money and weapons from private Gulf millionaires and billionaires who lean toward the hard line Salafi school.

The intervention of the Shiite militia, Hizbullah, in the recent battle for al-Qusayr, in which the rebels were defeated and expelled, inflamed Sunni-Shiite tensions. But note that Hizbullah is not fighting for Shiites and most of its members probably don’t consider the folk religion of the Nusayris (popularly called Alawites) to be true Islam. They are fighting to shore up al-Assad because he offers them Syria as a land bridge over which Iranian arms can flow. Without the Syrian land bridge, Hizbullah would be cut off and could easily fall to an Israeli invasion...........

Why are Muslims divided ....into sects?

The Qur'an replies this question in Surah Al Imran verse 103
"Hold to the rope of Allah strongly and be not divided".
The rope of Allah SWT is the glorious Qur'an. The Qur'an also says obey Allah SWT and obey the rasul.

In Surah Al An'am it is written "If anyone breaks the religion and divides the religion into sects O Prophet you have nothing to do with him. Allah will look after His affairs on the day of judgement.".
But when you ask the Muslim normally what are you, he says Sunni, or shia, or sufi, or hanafi, shafi, hambali, some say maliki, some say deobandi, some say Salafi, some say Jama'atul islamiyyah.
What was the Prophet Muhammad SAW? what was he? was he shia? hambali? shafi? no, he was a Muslim, simple as that.

Allah SWT says in the Qur'an in Surah Al Imran verse 52:
Jesus (pbuh) was a muslim

And in verse 67 Allah says
"Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah ]. And he was not of the polytheists."

In Surah Fusilat verse 33 Allah SWT says
"Who is better in speech who invites in the way of thy lord, works righteousness and says that i am a Muslim". In another part of the Quran Allah says "O people of the book (Muslims, Christians, Jews) come to common terms that is equitable between us and you, that we worship non but God, that we associate no partners with him, that we erects non amongst ourselves as lords instead of Allah. But if they turn away, then say, Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]."

I am a Muslim, we are Muslims. no less than 22 places in the Qur'an Allah says call yourself a Muslim, call yourself a Muslim. Prophet Abraham in Surah Hajj asked God "make my children Muslims". All the great scholars of Islam, Imam Abu Hanifa, Hanbal, Malik and Shafi (may Allah SWT have mercy on them and may Allah SWT be pleased with them all) if you ask them what are they, what reply will they give you? we are Muslims. All the scholars said if you find any of my fatwa which goes against Allah SWT and his Rasul, throw it on the wall. All of them came to help us to become better practicing Muslims, not to divide the religion.

In Surah An Nisa verse 59 Allah SWT says "O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result". .......
