Look ... it's very simple. If you have a penis, you are still a man. That means, you get to enjoy Canada's hospitality in the prison allocated for men. I don't know why there should be any controversy about something as simple as that when dealing with transgenders. If they have a hole after cutting off their junk then they are "female" and if an ex-female has surgically attached some junk in place of the hole, then that "female" can be now considered a "male." Furthermore, if you have a penis, it's the male washroom for you even if you have a barbie doll face and boobs like Pamela Anderson. It's what below your belt that counts. Understand that, and act in accordance.

A transgender U.K. woman who previously lived in Canada appears to have been detained at Toronto’s airport and transferred to a men’s prison after being denied entry to the country, according to an hours-long narrative the comedian shared on her Twitter page.
Avery Edison, who left Canada after outstaying her visa last year, says she wasn’t denied entry to Canada because of her transgender status, although it appears to have caused a great deal of frustration and confusion.
