Libya's second "spring" due in fall?


Look at this tweet from a former US Rep. If true, can you imagine how much more the powers-that-be must be keeping us from knowing and the MSM wholly in their pockets. I wonder if Canada is also involved.

.....Gunmen attacked a Libyan   military post southeast of the capital Tripoli early Saturday, killing 15 soldiers, an official and Libya's state news agency said.

The attackers rode vehicles topped with machineguns, the military official said. The highway between the towns of Tarhuna and Bani Walid, on which the post was located, was closed immediately after the attack in an attempt to track down the attackers.

The official said the attack took place at Wishtata area, some 60 kilometers (37 miles) from the entrance to Bani Walid. The town was one of the last strongholds for supporters of dictator Moammar Gadhafi in the country's 2011 civil war, and was besieged again by pro-government militias last year.

More recently, Libya has been hit by a months-long wave of attacks targeting military officers, activists, judges and security agents. Much of the violence is blamed on armed groups with their origins in the anti-Gadhafi rebel movement.....

An assault on the Russian embassy in Tripoli  that sparked the evacuation of its staff highlights a continued inability to protect diplomats that threatens Libya with renewed isolation, analysts say.

Wednesday evening's attack on the Russian compound triggered an exchange of fire in which two of the assailants were killed.

It came more than a year after ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in an assault on the US consulate in Libya's second city Benghazi.

Following the September 11, 2012 attack, which was blamed on Al-Qaeda sympathisers, the Libyan authorities promised urgent action to improve security but they have proved unable to guarantee protection for foreign diplomatic missions even in the capital............
