Muslim and Arab crime wave in Canada ... Part XLIV


426) ...A government source has confirmed that Ali Mohamed Dirie, shown in a 2009 court sketch has died while fighting in Syria.
He pleaded guilty in a sensational Toronto terrorism trial, served his time and then left Canada to fight in Syria where he was reportedly killed.
Ali Mohamed Dirie was convicted for his involvement in the 2006 terrorism plot to blow up Toronto and area targets, in a case that was dubbed the “Toronto 18” because of the number of youths and Muslim men arrested.
After his release in 2011, Dirie reportedly left Canada for Syria.

427)Police have arrested a 19-year-old man they previously warned about being armed and dangerous.
Nabil Sheik, was arrested and charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, threatening death, threatening bodily harm, three counts of assault, criminal harassment, robbery and fail to comply with recognizance.
He was arrested Monday afternoon following tips from the public.
The alleged offences occurred between Oct. 7 and 14.............

428)On Sunday, October 13, 2013, at 5:23 a.m., police were called to 33 King Street for a stabbing.
Once on scene, police found a woman with obvious stab wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
She has been identified as Leila Chandrapaul, 37, of Toronto.
A man was arrested at the scene. Areef Khan, 34, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) Second-Degree murder.....

429)...In August 2013, police received a report of a sexual assault.
It is alleged that:
- in August 2013, a man contacted a woman through a language-learning internet site called Conversation Exchange
- the man offered to assist the woman with learning English and she agreed to teach him Japanese
- the man and woman met, during which meeting the man convinced the woman to attend his residence
- the man sexually assaulted the woman while at his residence
On Wednesday, October 9, 2013, police arrested Avik Sarkar, 38, of Toronto. He has been charged with:
1) Sexual assault...

430)....On Sunday, October 6, 2013,  police arrested a man in connection with "Catch-22 Tuesday."  Arben Beni Dashi, 32, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Theft - under ($5,000)
2) Assault with intent to resist arrest
3) Escape from lawful custody.....

431)On Tuesday, October 1, 2013,   at approximately 7:15 p.m., police executed a search warrant at 250 Wincott Drive in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation.
Jamshid Bahrami, 47, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with the following:
1. Possession of Cocaine
2. Three counts of Traffic in Marihuana, under
3. Conspiracy to commit an Indictable Offence...........

432) Two Ajax women have been arrested  and charged in connection to a $1.3 million dollar fraud scheme involving stolen government cheques.
During 2012, Corporate Security Investigators from CIBC and RBC reported frauds involving stolen Ministry government cheques to Durham Police. Major Crime Fraud investigators began an investigation and determined fraudulently endorsed stolen cheques were being deposited at ATMs into legitimate bank accounts. Investigators arrested and charged several persons with fraud-related offences.
The investigation continued and Fraud Investigators arrested two Ajax women deemed responsible for the organization of this elaborate fraud scheme. Several financial institutions sustained a combined loss of over $400,000. 
Roma SOOKHOO-HUSAINE, age 58, of Norland Circle in Oshawa is charged with: Theft Over $5,000 and Conspiracy to Commit Fraud Over $5,000. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

433) ....A 21-year-old Edmonton man  is facing numerous charges, including aggravated assault, in connection with an early-morning shooting Sunday near Whyte Avenue.
Southwest Division patrol members responded to a report of shots fired in an alley south of Whyte Avenue near 105 Street, at approximately 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013.
Upon arrival, patrol members found a male victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was rushed to hospital, where he underwent surgery for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Police received a suspect vehicle description, which was subsequently spotted travelling northbound on 99
Street. 
Officers followed the vehicle into the downtown area, where police eventually cornered the suspect vehicle and took its three occupants into custody. A firearm was visually located inside the vehicle.
Omar Seifeddine, 21, of Edmonton, is charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, careless use of a weapon, possession of a restricted weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a loaded firearm.

434) ....Two males arrested after assault.   
On October 19, 2013 at 2:16 a.m., the Guelph Police were travelling on Carden Street when they observed males kicking at another male that was on the ground. They approached the group to stop the altercation. One of the assaultive males fled on seeing police. Police pursued the male and were able to catch him a short distance away. The male forcefully resisted the officer in attempting to resist his arrest. Further officers attended and the male was taken into custody. A second male was also arrested at the scene. The victim was not seriously injured. 
Saif SAMI, 21 years of Kitchener has been charged with cause disturbance by fighting, 
obstruct/resist arrest, assault police and breach recognizance. He will appear in court on October 
23, 2013.........

435) ...Cause disturbance by fighting - arrests    
On September 22, 2013 at 2:20 a.m., the Guelph Police responded to MacDonell Street for the report of 
a large group fighting. There were approximately ten people involved in the physical altercation and 
four people, three males and one female, were placed under arrest. One person suffered a minor injury as 
a result of the fight. 
Bassam AHMED, 19 years of Kitchener, Dean DAUANA, 19 years of Georgetown, Ala KHALIL, 21 
years of Kitchener and Ashley RAUSCHER, 18 years of Acton have all been charged with cause a 
disturbance by fighting. They will appear in court on November 1, 2013.
