Quebec's "Charter of Values" initiative is priceless !

I am keeping my fingers crossed,  toes too ... that the Values Charter is passed and made into law.  This is a baby step in holding on to at least a few of  Canada's original norms which are now given a new label "values" because people have gone blind and deaf in a multicult society where some segments are killing the rights of others.

Religious people might find the "values charter" offensive .... but then religious idiots are the same idiots who have forced the birth of such regulations...and I hope this is the first of many more to come.  And, as for the Christians,  STFU and enjoy the show ... this is happening because Christians are the original dimwits who have brought it upon themselves with their fucking political correctness and their need to be goody-goody even to infidel haters! Masochists!

I believe the exhibitionist group FEMEN  joined the "Janettes" briefly.  Why?  Are they needed?  Isn't it time for them to hibernate in some lesbian cave somewhere?  Winter is upon us and unless they want their boobs to freeze and fall off in the streets of Montreal, they should stay away.

From CTVNews ... (video at link.)
.....The protest was led by several high-profile Quebec women, including actress Janette Bertrand, who wrote an open letter in support of the charter.
Lise Rousseu, one of the protesters, says the charter will serve as a model not just for Quebec society, but for the world as a whole.
The Parti Quebecois government wants to ban public employees from wearing obvious religious symbols, including the Muslim headscarf, in the workplace.
The PQ has a minority and would require opposition support to make the charter law.
Protests for and against the charter have been held regularly since the plan was announced in early in September.........

From NationalPost:
...Protesters marched through the streets of Montreal Saturday with a message: Quebec’s proposed charter of values would help protect women’s rights.
The crowd estimated in the thousands argued the charter would help end religious oppression and ensure equality between men and women.
Named after Janette Bertrand, an 88-year-old former journalist and actress, the Janettes aim to promote equality between the sexes, asserting that the charter of values promotes such equality.....

From CBC:
Thousands of supporters  of the Parti Québécois government's proposed charter of values took to the streets of downtown Montreal Saturday in a demonstration organized by “Les Janettes,” a group founded in mid-October by the influential author, radio and TV personality, Janette Bertrand.
Noisy but peaceful, the marchers braved cold winds and rain to back Les Janettes, a group that grew from a letter published by Bertrand that argued progress on equality between men and women was taking a back seat to religious freedoms in Quebec.
The group has now collected 39,000 signatures for a petition that, among other things, calls for the charter to be renamed the “Secular Charter of Quebec” and for a clear line to be drawn between church and state in order to promote equality between women and men and defend women's rights..........

..............Demonstrator Mariette Aubé-Gagnon pointed to the banning of a protest organized by women drivers in Saudi Arabia that same morning as the reason why she came all the way from Boisbriand for the march.
“You have to get out and show your support,” she said. “We can’t go backwards. You have to stand up for women’s equality.”..........
