Comic Relief .... Sleep Easy Inn Inside

The story below reminds me of what happened to a friend's brother who walked out of a pub dead drunk. He hailed down a cop car thinking it was a cabbie, got into the passenger seat, remarked what a lovely night it was, didn't notice or didn't think twice about two guys in uniforms in the front seat .... and gave them directions to his residence.  Whether you want to believe it or not, the cops complied and took him home and when he reached for his wallet to pay the fare, they told him it was on them ... "one for the road."  We know the story from the cops who saw him to his front door and waited for the family to take the drunk safely inside.  LOL !

Drinking and driving is never a good idea, but drinking and driving yourself to a police station is a good way to get yourself arrested — if that’s what you want.
According to York Regional Police, an officer on duty observed a 30-year-old Aurora man pulling into a visitor parking lot at a Vaughan district police station around 11:30 p.m. Monday night. After parking, he walked through the front doors of the station and demanded officers provide him with a place to sleep for the night.
He got his wish.
Police could smell alcohol on the man’s breath during what they called “his rant” and the officer that observed him parking his car arrested him for impaired driving.
After providing a breath sample, which yielded a result two times over the legal blood-alcohol limit, the man was provided a bed for the night.
Vadym Gulenko, 30, has been charged with impaired driving. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 3......
