Armenians on the move again

The genocide of their people in Turkey drove many of the survivors into Syria where they lived peacefully for a while ... but now they are on the move again.... as are other Christian denominations of Syria.

From the vid below we can surmise that many of the displaced Armenian-Syrian are migrating to Canada, which is a good thing. As our govt. is hell bent on increasing Canada's population at a break-neck speed, and as we can't do anything much to change the minds of the powers-that-be, we might as well encourage Christians to come here either as immigrants or refugees to make the numbers needed.  Many of the churches in Toronto are collecting whatever you want to donate for the incoming refugees from the Syrian war. Contact the churches near you if you feel like donating some clothes, linen, kitchenware, etc.

From PanArmenian:
8 people were killed and dozens injured    on Sunday, October 6 by mortar fire that hit a Christian neighborhood in central Damascus.
"Three mortar shells fired by terrorists landed... in the Qassaa district, killing eight civilians and wounding 24 others," SANA said.
Another three people were injured when a fourth mortar slammed into the Greek Holy Cross church in the neighborhood, it added.
Armenian-born Hovik Kardatsogian (Okmushian) born 1958 was killed in the shelling, aztagdaily said.
More than 100,000 people have died in Syria's conflict, which began in early 2011 with peaceful demonstrations seeking more democracy but deteriorated into a sectarian civil war.
Syria's Armenian population is mainly centered in Aleppo and Damascus. About 80 000 Armenians resided in the country before the start of the war.

From AmEng:
Armenian Catholic Church is desecrated in Syria. Two churches were attacked in Ar-Raqqah, Syria, and one of them was the Armenian Catholic Church of the Holy Martyrs.
Editor-in-Chief Shahan Kandaharian of Lebanon’s Aztag Armenian daily told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to him, the Armenian Catholic and the Greek Orthodox Churches were desecrated and robbed.
To note, media reports say that the attack was organized by the jihadists that support the opponents of the Syrian government.
The Islamists that attacked the Armenian Catholic Church of the Holy Martyrs destroyed the dome with the cross and placed the flag of the faction..........
