Nothing royal, only highly disloyal ... the Royal Bank of Canada

If you are a Canadian patriot, it's time you closed your account(s) with the  RBC and stopped dealing with this rogue bank altogether.  You might be thinking  that as your bank account with them is linked to your payroll, your property tax, your utility bills, etc that it's a pain to pull all these links and start anew.  It's not as painful as you think.  The bank you choose to give your business to, will do everything  on your behalf.  All you will be required to do is give your signature empowering them to close the account and transfer all the links from RBC to the new bank....and they will do everything necessary on your behalf.  Take the step... because there comes a time when we have to show that we do have some integrity and control over what we will accept and what we consider to be downright dishonest.

It's crystal clear that RBC is using cheap labor from abroad while laying off Canadians.  The billions of dollars RBC makes annually is not enough for the crooks within the banking industry, they want to make even more on the backs of laid off Canadians.  So despicable !!  Ugh !!!

Another thing to note is that the  RBC  has also been fingered as one of the banks involved in the LIBOR scandal.  Once you start thinking anything goes,  everything goes.

I am always amazed at how, not only these corporate heads but also our politicians, keep harping on about how Canada is forced to look outside Canada for Temporary Foreign Workers (TFW) because we don't have skilled workers here.  If that is so, then the Immigration Dept and Jason Kenney are to be blamed.  I thought the Immigration dept  were giving preference and priority  to skilled and educated immigrants.  So how come the wrong type are being approved as immigrants ??   How come Canada is now full of refugees with no skills and no education to speak off??  If we don't have enough skilled workers, doesn't this show an utter failure of our Immigration system more than anything else?

Those who have thought up this TFW scheme have probably  not heard of the aftermath of a similar scheme that Germany had  for which they are now paying in regrets and more to the fullest extreme.

Errol Nazareth writing at QMIAgency:
While RBC maintains it is not replacing  ....Canadian workers, Zabeen Hirji, the bank's chief human resources officer, said in the statement that "we continue to remain focused on assisting our employees through this transition. We are working diligently to find suitable roles for those affected and it is our hope over the next few months to transition them to other positions."

On Sunday, one of Canada's largest unions slammed the government's Temporary Foreign Worker Program after CBC News reported that dozens of employees at RBC are losing their jobs to temporary foreign workers.

"The news that RBC is replacing 45 of its employees with workers from India is just further proof that corporations and the Harper government intend to use the Temporary Foreign Worker Program to lower wages across Canada," Ken Neumann, national director of the United Steelworkers (USW), said in a statement. "We are ready to assist the RBC workers and represent them in any legal matters and hope they will contact us."

The USW said using temporary workers undermines Canadian wages and living standards "while making workers from abroad subject to abuse."

Human Resources Minister Diane Finley said that since Canada is experiencing significant skills and labour shortages in many regions, "Canadians must always be the first in line for opportunities from employers who are hiring."

She called the allegations against RBC unacceptable.

Finley said in a statement the Temporary Foreign Worker Program was never intended as a means to bring in temporary foreign workers to replace employed Canadian workers.

RBC did not return QMI Agency's call.......

Micael Babad writing at TheGlobe&Mail:
Canadians outraged by RBC foreign-worker outsourcing fiasco.  Royal Bank of Canada’s reputation is taking a huge hit today, with an explosion on social media, after revelations of an outsourcing deal that will see some of its staff lose their jobs to foreign workers.
Indeed, RBC may well have miscalculated its response by putting the blame on an independent supplier, and one wonders if the bank will be forced to take further action soon.

As The Globe and Mail’s Sophie Cousineau reports, the Canadian government is probing the subcontracting of some of the bank’s investor services back-office work to iGate Corp., a move that will cost 45 RBC employees in Toronto their jobs.

RBC tried yesterday to distance itself from the events first reported by CBC.............

....There’s now a Facebook page calling for a boycott, with a picture of a cute little kid crying, sitting nearby that RBC guy in the blue suit and bowler hat, with this tagline: “Your child’s future outsourced. Lost Canadian jobs you can bank on.”....
