So good to see Saudi oil facilities burning...courtesy the Houthis

Well done dear Houthis.  Keep it up.  Saudi Arabia and the UAE with weapons and strategic and logistics support from the USA and its lapdogs, including sadly my own country Canada.  Houthis have gone through almost 6 years+ of war waged on them by their rich neighbour KSA.  It has hardened these tribes to the extent that they do not have to rely on Iran and neighboring African countries to smuggle in the weapons.  The Houthis are now making their own weaponry for use against their enemies. In the link below the Houthis show off their weapons"'made in yemen" that the Saudis have never been able to make in spite of their mountains of money.
Below some of the uproar from all sides on the attack.

Yemen Houthi drones, missiles defy years of Saudi air strikes
At a weapons exhibition in July in Yemen’s Houthi-controlled capital Sanaa, military officials whipped silken sheets off what they said were newly-developed drones and missiles.
The theatrical gesture revealed the proud slogan “Made in Yemen” spray-painted onto the weapons’ bodywork.
The moment was a celebration of sorts for Yemen’s Houthi fighters. Despite years of air strikes against them, the militia now boast drones and missiles able to reach deep into Saudi Arabia, the result of an armament campaign pursued and expanded energetically since Yemen’s war began four years ago.

"> Saudi Aramco Attacks
The Saudi oil attacks could be a precursor to widespread cyberwarfare — with collateral damage for companies in the region
  • The Kingdom and oil and gas industry have been slow to shore up defenses, raising red flags about the possibility of longer term fallout in the region, experts said, including those who have responded to incidents in the region.
  • Investors should be wary of a long-term possibility of cyber espionage and flare-ups of malicious activity, including the potential for destructive attacks that hurt the value of companies in the region beyond Aramco

The attack on Saudi Arabia’s major oil processing station in Abqaiq over the weekend was a major turning point in global politics. It may be even bigger than many of us realize.
While forces within U.S. political circles, Israel and Saudi Arabia keep trying to shift the blame to Iran, the most likely scenario is that the Houthis in North Yemen were responsible for the attack as a follow up to last month’s hit which showed off the capabilities of their new drones.
That attack set the stage for the latest one in a classic case of the past being prologue. By showing the world it was capable of throwing drones anywhere in Saudi Arabia rebels in Yemen created plausibility for last weekend’s attack.
And as I said the other day this attack begs a lot of questions. And the ham-fisted push to blame Iran for it, after President Trump all but ruled out a military response from the U.S. from all corners of the U.S. and Saudi establishment opens up even more.
If this was a swarm attack from Iraq and Iran, as claimed now (and supported by factless conjecture) then how did all the vaunted U.S. technology fail to account for it?
U.S. Naval CENTCOM is in Bahrain folks. Are these people blind as well as incompetent?
No. I don’t think they are. Say what you want about U.S. political leadership and the nigh-treasonous bureaucracy supporting it, I don’t think our military is that fundamentally corrupt, lazy or stupid.
What are we spending all of the money on, after all?.....

Last Saturday Saudi Arabia’s Abqaiq petroleum processing facilities and Khurais oil field were attacked by cruise missiles and drones. The Saudis claim that this unconventional attack thwarted their defense systems as both cruise missiles and drones fly too low. Saudi Arabia with its sophisticated air defenses courtesy of its vast military budget claims even if it were able to detect the attack some missiles came from the West when their state of the art defense systems was pointing towards Iran.
Despite a lack of firm evidence, Saudi Arabia claims the attack is unquestionably the work of Iran. On Wednesday Saudi Arabia increased pressure on President Trump to respond to the attack. Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement immediately took credit for the attacks, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani insists the offense has been carried out by Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Nevertheless, Saudi Lt Col Turki al-Maliki says,
“The intelligence community has high confidence that these were not weapons that would have been in possession of the Houthis.”
President Trump said the US was “locked and loaded” for a response at the behest of Saudi Arabia.
Yemeni armed forces have motives for their attack. Largely unreported in the mainstream media is that Saudi Arabia has subjected Yemen to a bombing campaign since March 2015. This violence is backed by US military hardware and tactical support. Along with an illegal blockade of the port of Hodeida, it has left Yemen on the brink of the world’s worst famine in a century. UNICEF warns that Yemen presents the largest humanitarian crisis in the world with more than 80 percent of its 24 million people, including more than 12 million children in need of humanitarian assistance.....

Saudi Arabia Iran US Middle East
Saudi Arabia won’t attack Iran. But it may pay someone else to.
The US is being fooled that it needs to rescue its ally in the Middle East. The Saudis always get others to fight for them....

Saudi First: Trump Wants to Start a War with Iran When MBS Gives the Order
Who remembers “The Bow”?
In April 2009, three months into his first term in office, Barack Obama found himself in the midst of a bizarre controversy. At a meeting of the G-20, the new U.S president appeared to bow his head to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.
Conservatives lost their minds. Fox News ran chyrons suggesting that Obama was “pandering” to Muslims; host Sean Hannity played the clip in slow motion and on a loop. Senate Republicans even ran an online ad attacking the president for bowing to the Saudi king, while the right-wing Washington Examiner published an editorial calling it “a shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate.”
Fast forward a decade: If a president bowing to the Saudis made conservatives mad in 2009, what do they make of a president effectively putting the Saudis in charge of the U.S. military in 2019?
This was Donald Trump’s response to the recent airstrikes on two state-owned oil facilities in Saudi Arabia:...

The US + gang have been in wars in the Middle East the last 17 years. WHY?

Check out the chart below to see which country has been bombed the most often the last seven years (and maybe even from earlier  on pretext of going after terrorists fleeing Iraq and into Syria), whether directly from above its skies or from Iraq or other neighbouring countries, and you will surmise that the powers-that-be have been doing nothing but going intensely after ISRAEL's arch enemy, SYRIA.  Go to link below for the whole gory tale.  One would have thought that the last 17 years of US+gang's wars in the Middle East and Afghanistan, most of their WMDs would have polluted the grounds of Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya .... but you would have guessed wrong.  The country they have been poisoning the most is Syria.

Medea Benjamin and Nicolas J S Davies
Bring the Troops Home But also Stop the Bombing

As our nation debates the merits of President Donald Trump’s call for withdrawing U.S. troops from Syria and Afghanistan, absent from the debate is the more pernicious aspect of US military involvement overseas: its air wars. Trump’s announcement and General James Mattis’ resignation should unleash a national discussion about US involvement in overseas conflicts, but no evaluation can be meaningful without a clear understanding of the violence that US air wars have unleashed on the rest of the world for the past 17 years.
By our calculations, in this “war on terror,” the US and its allies have dropped a staggering 291,880 bombs and missiles on other countries – and that is just a minimum number of confirmed strikes.
As we contemplate that overwhelming number, let’s keep in mind that these strikes represent lives snuffed out, people maimed for life, families torn apart, homes and infrastructure demolished, taxpayer money squandered, and resentment that only engenders more violence.
After the horrific crimes of September 11, 2001, Congress was quick to pass a sweeping Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF). While three presidents have claimed that the 2001 AUMF legally justifies these endless wars as a response to the crimes of 9/11, no serious reading of the authorization could interpret it that way. What it actually says is:
That the president is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons.
As former Nuremberg prosecutor Benjamin Ferencz told NPR a week after 9/11: “It is never a legitimate response to punish people who are not responsible for the wrong done… We must make a distinction between punishing the guilty and punishing others. If you simply retaliate en masse by bombing Afghanistan, let us say, or the Taliban, you will kill many people who don’t believe in what has happened, who don’t approve of what has happened.”
And yet here we are, 17 years later, mired in wars in which we are bombing ever more “nations, organizations, (and) persons” who had absolutely nothing to do with the crimes committed on September 11. We don’t have a single real or lasting success we can point to in 17 years of war in 7 countries and “counterinsurgency” operations in a dozen more. Every country the US has attacked or invaded remains trapped in intractable violence and chaos.
Please look at this chart, and take a few moments to reflect on the mass destruction it represents:

If you want to know about lies and deception of the strike on Syria, April 2018

In the fog of war, it's impossible to tell if we the public are being lied to by one or all the parties concerned.
I give more credence to the Russian side than to our own MSM as our side has been caught lying  umpteen times more than the Russian side.

The following is a very interesting read ... whether 100% accurate or not.

Federico Pieraccini at GlobalResearch
Lies and Deception in the Failed US Strike on Syria

At 4am on April 14, the United States, France and the United Kingdom executed a strike on Syria. The Syrian Free Press reported:

US Navy warships in the Red Sea and Air Force B-1B bombers and F-15 and F-16 aircraft rained dozens of ship- and air-launched cruise missiles down on the Syrian capital of Damascus, an airbase outside the city, a so-called chemical weapons storage facility near Homs, and an equipment-storage facility and command post, also near Homs. B1-Bs are typically armed with JASSM cruise missiles, which have a 450 kg warhead and a range of 370 kms. US Navy warships launched Tomahawks, which have 450 kg warheads and an operational range of between 1,300 and 2,500 kms. The British Royal Air Force’s contingent for the assault consisted of four Tornado GR4 ground-attack aircraft armed with the Storm Shadow long-range air-to-ground missile, which the UK’s Defense Ministry said targeted ‘chemical weapons sites’ in Homs. These weapons have a range of 400 kms. Finally, France sent its Aquitaine frigate, armed with SCALP naval land-attack cruise missiles (SCALP is the French military’s name for the Storm Shadow), as well as several Dassault Rafale fighters, also typically armed with SCALP or Apache cruise missiles. According to the Russian defense ministry, the B-1Bs also fired GBU-38 guided air bombs. Undoubtedly weary of the prospect of having their aircraft shot down after Israel lost one of its F-16s over Syria in February, the Western powers presumably launched their weapons from well outside the range of Syrian air defenses, with all the targets located just 70-90 kms from the Mediterranean Sea, and having to fly through Lebanon first.

Recapping the information on the strike, the US and its allies used the following assets:........

The hypocrisy of the MSM all too crystal clear on its reportage of ongoing Mosul battles

Have you noticed how US and Iraqi missiles and bombs don't kill civilians in Mosul but even when they do, that info is hidden well into some foggy paragraph and unless you have plenty of time on your hands to read through the entire item, you are not likely to see it at all? Whereas, Russian and Syrian missiles and bombs along with Syria's non-existent poison gases kill civilians in their thousands all over the Syrian landscape .... as blared out by the MSM's headlines.

Darius Shahtahmasebi at RonPaul Institute
US-Backed Siege of Mosul Shows How Hypocritical Media Manipulates Us

In order to determine the truth when it comes to the mainstream media’s coverage of American-led offensives in the Middle East, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of any article. This is where the most important information can be found. As can be seen in a BBC report on the U.S.-backed offensive to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul from the Islamic State, the last line of the article reads:

The UN said in late January that almost half of all the casualties in Mosul were civilians. At least 1,096 have been killed and 694 injured across Nineveh province since the start of October. [emphasis added]

Compared with a separate BBC report on the Russian-backed offensive to retake the Syrian city of Aleppo, the media’s coverage of these two military operations can hardly be viewed as balanced. In that report, the idea that Russia is constantly killing civilians is laid out in almost every paragraph.

A spokesperson for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reportedly told Russian state-owned news site RT that the situation in Mosul is “incredibly desperate.”

In Mosul, 650,000 civilians are reportedly at risk, and as the U.N. has indicated, half of those being killed in the US-backed operation are civilians. The notion that American bombs are safer and more precise than Russia’s has no evidentiary basis, nor does any suggestion that the troops the US military is fighting alongside are less violent than Russian or Syrian authorities. In fact, the troops fighting alongside the US in Iraq are more or less aligned with those attempting to liberate parts of Syria from terrorist groups, anyway. This demonstrates America’s completely bipolar approach to the Middle East given the US has consistently opposed advances made by these troops in Syria.

In a press briefing, the Pentagon’s Baghdad-based spokesperson, Colonel John Dorrian, admitted that American troops on the front lines have come under fire in Iraq. The Trump Administration, with full knowledge of this, is nonetheless reportedly considering a “long-term commitment” to Iraq..........

Russia flexes more muscle with new missile testing

I am guessing that the blatant show of Russian-made war machines which we are seeing of late is to tell the Western powers not to interfere any further on the bear's territory, namely Ukraine.  Any further incursion or additional arming of Ukraine's mad Nazi forces to continue their bombing of the Novorussia areas, especially the civilian areas, will be severely dealt with.

Also, was there really a submarine in  Sweden's waters and was it a Russian sub that managed to slip out unaccosted by the full force employed to find it?  IMO, there was probably something there "testing" the detection powers of Sweden's military or the Swedes used an imaginary sighting to bolster their war chest..... just like the USA, Canada and UK are now doing by strategic reporting of sighting Russian jets invading their airspace.  Even if Russia denies their planes were nowhere near disputed airspaces, most of us have  been brainwashed nicely enough to discard anything Russia says as lies and nothing but lies.

From TvzvezdaNews .... Google translation
Missile submarine "Tula"   successfully launched "blueness"
Ballistic missile submarine of the Northern Fleet "Tula" successfully completed on November 5 combat training launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile, "The blue".

During the launch of the shooting was done from a submerged position. At the appointed time arrived ICBM warheads on Kamchatka Kura test site.

As the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, "launched an intercontinental ballistic missile," The blue "from the Barents Sea on the Kura test site was carried out in the framework of checking the reliability of the naval component of the strategic nuclear forces of Russia."

IDB "The blue" - a Russian three-stage liquid rocket used on submarines of the third generation. The missile can carry four to eight warheads with a total mass of over two and a half tons.

Ballistic missile submarine "Tula" was built in 1987 and has recently undergone upgrades on defense enterprise "Zvezdochka". The modernization improved stealth characteristics of the ship, improved its electronic weapons systems survivability and nuclear safety......

30-year war declared by the USA on jihadi army = Billionaires making even more billions of $s on spilled human blood and millions of body parts strewn all over the Middle East

New face at RT News is Ben Swann in a guest appearance asking the right questions. Check out his guests, IMO ... both are pretty fine going to perpetual wars. The core of America's political and infrastructure on a whole, is nothing but war-oriented any which way and forever.  Just like Rome used to be before it got trampled into the dust from which it has never been able to rise again. Entire countries and armies used to tremble before the might of the Roman Empire just like the present day countries and armies do when faced with the might and power of the USA.
Every dog has his day in the sun before nightfall.

From BenSwann:
What was supposed to be the wind down   of over a decade of war in Iraq and Afghanistan has suddenly morphed into a new war with ISIS. A war that according to former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta could last up to 30 years.

To most Americans, a new 30-year war would sound like bad news, but not to everyone. It is music to the ears of defense contractors who up until a few months ago were facing serious cuts. They are not looking at cuts anymore.

According to the L.A. Times, three days after U.S. warships fired 47 Tomahawk cruise missiles at Sunni militant targets in northern Syria, the Pentagon signed a $251 million dollar deal to buy more Tomahawks from Raytheon.
Tomahawk cruise missiles cost $1.5 million dollars a piece. According to the AP, as of October 6th, the Pentagon had spent as much as $1.1 billion on U.S. military operations against Islamic state militants in Iraq and Syria.
Shares of major military contractors including Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics have been trading at near all-time highs.
Of course, it is not just the big military contractors who are reaping a windfall. Thousands of military subcontractors who had begun laying off workers because of defense cut-backs are scrambling to rehire staff.

While guest anchoring at RT America this week, Ben Swann spoke with Robert Levinson, a Senior Defense Analyst at Bloomberg Government and Stephen Miles, Advocacy Director for “Win Without War”. You can see their interview in the video above.....

School bombing kills 41 children in Syria: monitor
At least 41 Syrian children aged under 12 were killed Wednesday in a double bombing by a lone assailant at a school in the government-controlled city of Homs, a monitor said.
They were among 48 people who died in the attacks in the Akrameh neighbourhood, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, updating an earlier toll.
"At least 41 schoolchildren were killed in the double bombing at the Akrameh al-Makhzumi school in Homs city today. Several children are still missing, and the toll may rise further still," said Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman.
The adults killed were four civilians and three members of the security forces.
One attacker carried out both bombings.
"He planted a bomb at one location at the school, and then blew himself up at another spot nearby," Abdel Rahman told AFP of the attacker........

Canada's partner, the Ukraine regime, continues to deliberately target civilian areas. Just seen one vid of a bus shelter being shelled and now a school was targeted just like the jihadis have done in Homs, Syria. Warning: disturbing images. Also, the Ukrainain regime is not keeping their part of the agreement on the POWs swap.

From AlAlam:
ISIL advancing on Suleyman Shah’s Tomb
Turkey on Tuesday said ISIL Terrorist were advancing on a tiny exclave considered Turkish territory in northern Syria, but insisted it was still in control of the land despite reports its guards there were encircled.
The tomb of Suleyman Shah, the grandfather of the founder of the Ottoman Empire Osman I, on the Euphrates River, is Turkish territory under a 1920s treaty and still guarded by a few dozen Turkish troops.
The pro-government Yeni Safak daily had reported earlier that the 36 Turkish soldiers guarding the tomb had been overwhelmed by a group of some 1,100 ISIL Terrorists.
It suggested that the troops could now be held hostage by the Terrorists.
But Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arninc acknowledged that ISIL Terrorists were advancing on the tomb but played down speculation that the situation was critical.
Turkey has previously warned that it would consider an attack on Suleyman Shah as an attack on its sovereign territory to which it would respond in kind......

From BBC:
Afghan suicide attack  kills army troops in Kabul
At least seven people have died and many were injured after a suicide bomber targeted a bus carrying troops in the Afghan capital Kabul.
A second bus was hit by a suicide bomber elsewhere in the city, injuring two soldiers and two civilians.
The Taliban said they had carried out the attacks.
The blasts come a day after Afghan and US officials signed a deal letting US troops stay in Afghanistan after the end of 2014...........

From OttawaCitizen:
Canadian fighter pilots could soon bomb rebels they supported in Libya
As the Conservative government contemplates sending CF-18 fighter jets into Iraq, Canadian pilots may soon be bombing some of the same gunmen their actions supported several years ago elsewhere.....

........“Certainly some of the players in ISIL are going to be the same people who fought Gadhafi,” said Martin Shadwick, a defence analyst with York University. “The ability of these forces to move across borders, to fight in each other’s battles, is something that should be looked at more closely in the future.”
The Conservative government is currently considering options for further military action in Iraq against ISIL. Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Tuesday a decision will be made “in the coming days.”....

.....The Canadian military is now looking at fielding an Iraq force similar to the one it sent to fight in Libya. That could involve CF-18s and Aurora aircraft for surveillance.....

....The Conservative government, however, considers the 2011 Libyan mission a victory for Canada. Shortly after Gadhafi’s death at the hands of rebels, the government held an $850,000 victory parade in downtown Ottawa, featuring flyovers by CF-18s and Aurora aircraft.

“Canada is proud to have played a leading role in the UN-sanctioned NATO mission that helped protect civilians during the liberation of Libya,” Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird has noted.....

From Reuters:
At least 35 people were killed  in a wave of car bomb and mortar attacks in mainly Shi'ite Muslim districts of Baghdad on Tuesday, Iraqi police and medical sources said.

It was one of the most violent days the capital has witnessed since U.S.-led forces began bombing Islamic State insurgents in Iraq last month.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks but Islamic State, ultra-radical Sunni Muslim militants who seized swathes of northern Iraq in June, claimed several suicide bombings in the capital earlier this year.

Two car bombs exploded in busy streets in the al-Horreyya district, killing 20 people and wounding 35, according to the police and medical sources. There was also a mortar attack in the Sab al-Bour neighbourhood of northern Baghdad that killed five people and wounded 15.
Later on Tuesday, at least seven people were killed and 18 wounded when a car bomb exploded in the mainly Shi'ite Zaa'faraniya district of southeast Baghdad, police said........

USA's intel services are the best in the world, eh?  I wonder why their all-knowing ally Israel who has an inside line to the men in black, didn't have better intelligence on the grain silos hit by mistake .... or was it really a mistake or a ruse to starve Syrians?
From DailyMail:
At least two civilian workers were killed after missiles launched in a US airstrike targeting an ISIS-controlled region in Syria struck grain silos, according to a human rights group.
The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights believes aircraft may have mistaken the mills and grain storage areas in the northern Syrian town of Manbij for an Islamic State base.....

IMO, John Wight, jounalist/analyst is 100% right.  You can't defeat an enemy whose jihadist army grows with each new Sunni area it captures. It's logical that the resident Sunni jihadis will join the monstrous Frankenstein and await the creators (USA and her allies) to come and get them by "boots on the ground" .... I sincerely hope the Western powers are not going to take that bait, however,  I am not holding my breath, not after seeing how our idiot leaders have thrown the young men and women of the defense forces to the Muslim wolves just so they can oil the machinery of the ultra rich warmongers.  The countries in the hellhole of the Middle East should look after themselves or destroy each other. They all have the means and the zest.

From DailyStar:
ISIS behead captured Kurds in Syria
Activists say ISIS militants have beheaded nine Kurdish fighters, including three women, captured in clashes near the Syria-Turkey border.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Wednesday that the nine Kurds were captured during fighting over the northern Syrian town of Kobani, also known as Ayn Arab.

There have been fierce clashes around Kobani since mid-September, when ISIS launched an assault to seize the area.

The Observatory also says that dozens of militants and Kurdish fighters were killed in clashes overnight.....

From Channel4:
Channel 4 News witnesses   RAF fighter jets carry out an air strike in Iraq as part of the US-led mission against the Islamic State group, as British forces ramp up their campaign.
After several missions without finding a suitable target, Britain's RAF Tornados have now carried out further air strikes against the Islamic State (IS) group in Iraq as part of the US-led coalition mission.

Two Tornado GR4 aircraft took off from Akrotiri in Cyprus in support of Iraqi government forces west of Baghdad, and overnight fired four Brimstone missiles in a "precision attack" against two IS vehicles, one of which was an armed pick-up truck, said the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Further strikes were carried out later on Wednesday, one of which was filmed by Channel 4 News......

From WeeklyStandard:
Homeland Security Head: '  Core al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan'
Visiting Canada for the first time as Department Homeland Security (DHS) chief, secretary Jeh Johnson addressed the Canadian American Business Council on Wednesday. His remarks focused on existential threats in the world today, particularly in relation to the United States and Canada and the efforts of the two countries' governments to safeguard their borders. ........

From NVDaily:
.....But the revelation  of this heretofore unheard of al-Qaeda group raises a number of troubling issues.

First, the fact that Khorasan is run by Muhsin al Fadhli, who was reportedly aware of the 9/11 plot while an al-Qaeda up-'n'-comer, means that "core al-Qaeda" (that is, the 9/11 crowd) isn't dead and done for -- ideologically or operationally.

The other interesting tidbit is that this terror cell doesn't appear to be seized by the to-and-fro of the
Syrian civil war, but was reportedly primarily interested in using the conflict's chaos as convenient cover from which to wallop the West.

Terrorist groups crave lawless, ungoverned territory to set up camp; unpressured, they use these areas for planning, training and operating against their next victim.

Another disturbing element of this still-unfolding story is that the Syria-based Khorasan may have been working with a team of Yemen-based al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP)-trained bomb makers.

AQAP explosives expert, Ibrahim al Asiri -- of underwear, printer cartridge and surgically-implanted bomb fame -- may have dispatched some of his minions to build an explosive device for a Western passport-holding Khorasan operative.........

New Hypersonic Missile test fails

USA is testing a powerful weapon. No vids yet of the nose dive and self-destruction.

From NBC:
'Anomaly' Spoils U.S. Army's Hypersonic  Missile Test
The U.S. Army's latest test of an advanced hypersonic weapon had to be terminated shortly after Monday's liftoff from the Kodiak Launch Complex in Alaska due to a "flight anomaly," the Defense Department said. No injuries were reported, and program officials are looking into the cause of the anomaly, according to a Pentagon statement. Kodiak's KMXT-FM reported that the rocket carrying the prototype weapon nosed down seconds after launch, forcing operators to press the self-destruct button.........

The test was part of the Defense Department's Conventional Prompt Global Strike program, which is aimed at developing low-cost conventional weapons that can strike anywhere in the world in less than an hour. The flight profile calls for a weapon-laden glider to be launched aboard a rocket, and then sent out at speeds of more than Mach 5, or 3,500 mph. In 2011, the U.S. Army successfully tested a hypersonic weapon prototype, but other tests have not gone as well.

Even Cuba's Fidel Castro knows the meaning of "genocide" when he sees one being committed ....

but the leaders of North America and the puppets of the Israeli owned-USA around the world are blind to some of the worst crimes committed by Israel on the Palestinians.
Israel is so smart it had to drop bombs to mete out collective punishment on Gaza because the Hamas creatures were coming out of their caves and tunnels to fire ineffectual rockets that they manufacture themselves and then disappearing back into the holes.  However, the smart Israelis couldn't follow the effective method that Egypt implemented ... that which successfully either blocked the tunnels or flooded them. Why Israel? Did you have too many missiles and bombs sent your way by Uncle Sam? Did you find the Gaza population was growing too quickly and had to be culled?

From IsraelNationalNews:
Fidel Castro Calls Israel 'Fascist' Over Gaza Operation Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro compared Israel's military operation in Gaza on Tuesday to a "disgusting form of fascism" that its ally, the United States, is unable to control.

"I think that a new and disgusting form of fascism is emerging with considerable force at this moment in human history," Castro wrote in a column in the newspaper Granma titled "Palestinian Holocaust in Gaza."

Castro's article appeared as a 72-hour truce took hold in the Gaza Strip, with Israel withdrawing troops after a month of fighting with Hamas and other Gazan terrorist groups.

"Why does the government of this country (Israel) think that the world will be impervious to this macabre genocide that is being committed today against the Palestinian people?" he asked.

"Maybe it hopes that the complicity of the North American (US) empire will be ignored in this shameless massacre?" the 87-year-old former president said.

"There are facts that reflect the near total inability of the United States to face the current world problems," said Castro, who handed over power to his brother Raul in 2006 for health reasons.

Fog of War..... Part 4 .... USA gives carte-blanche to Kiev to use BMs; Ukraine jet shot down; Russian military convoy destroyed; Ukraine govt using banned white phosphorus bombs

Make whatever you want to from the items below. You don't want to believe any of it, sure go ahead, make your day.  You think parts of it is bull-shit but most of it is true, then you are pretty savvy and I hope you remain that way.  The one thing I am dead sure about is that the Ukrainian govt  IS using ballistic missiles and white phosphorus bombs against its own people in the part of Ukraine that the Ukrainian govt wants to cleanse of Russian-speaking people.

What's happening to the people in east Ukraine is not unique to them alone.  It's been happening on and off, in Gaza and the West Bank and in several parts of Africa ... ethnic cleansing is still a favorite sport of lunatics in this our world of the brave  21st century.  It takes only a few mad, raving, totally disgusting people in the governing body of any country to make such things happen and it continues because there are several such equally deplorable lunatics in the governments of the nations that continue to support the nations doing the ethnic cleansing.

US Gives Kiev Carte Blanche  to Any Action – Russian Lawmaker

The use of ballistic missiles in Luhansk suggests that Ukrainian security officials have carte blanche from the United States to take any actions, said Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on Defense Franz Klintsevich.
"This suggests that the Ukrainian security forces have been granted carte blanche from the Americans. They do not care what Russia says, what the international community or even Europe says today. They got their carte blanche, and while it remains active they want to deal with the situation in Donetsk as quickly as possible," Klintsevich told RIA Novosti.
By using ballistic missiles, the Ukrainian military goes to extreme measures that will harm civilians first of all, the lawmaker noted.

"First, it’s a very large charge, a huge explosion. Thus it’s more of a psychological weapon that would inflict maximum damage, primarily at the civilian population," Klintsevich said.
A ballistic missile flies at a distance of about 200 kilometers (124 miles), but lacks accuracy, which means that “they [the Ukrainian military] won’t always be able to hit the military facilities and the nearby vehicles. So, when they are shooting at a locality, civilians will be harmed,” the lawmaker said.

Earlier the same day, Kiev-led forces attacked Luhansk with Tochka-U ballistic missile systems, Rossiya-24 television reported, citing a source in the militia forces.
The basis of Tochka-U is a single-stage ballistic missile that can be controlled throughout the flight. It can carry nuclear and chemical charges, as well as ordinary high-explosive shells. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, a certain amount of launchers, auxiliary equipment and missiles remained in several former Soviet republics, about a hundred of them in Ukraine......

Ukraine fighter jet shot down as Kiev accuses Moscow of arming rebels

Ukraine on Sunday accused Russia of sending more equipment, including rocket launchers, across the border into the restive east of the country.
Over the past 24 hours "a convoy of military equipment, including three Grad rocket launchers, have crossed into the territory of Ukraine" and continued on to Nizhniy Nagolchyk, a village in southern Luhansk region, one of the areas controlled by pro-Russian rebels, security spokesman Andriy Lysenko said in a briefing in Kiev.
The announcement came shortly after Ukraine said pro-Russian rebels had shot down one of its fighter planes.
Ukraine's military told AFP the MiG-29 warplane was shot out of the sky as it carried out "an assignment to eliminate a large group of terrorists" in the Luhansk region. The pilot managed to parachute to safety, it said.
Authorities in the main rebel city of Donetsk said shelling killed 10 civilians in 24 hours as government forces pressed on with an offensive to oust separatists after four months of fighting that has left over 2100 people dead and pushed the region to the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe....

Ukraine Plays Down  Significance of Destruction of Russian Military Convoy
European Leaders Meet in Effort to Bring Ukraine, Russia to Negotiating Table

Ukraine and Russia on Saturday appeared to be seeking to avoid a broader confrontation in the wake of Kiev's claim it destroyed most of a Russian military convoy that entered its territory, as the European Union intensified its efforts to bring the two countries to the negotiating table.

Col. Andriy Lysenko, the Ukrainian government's security spokesman, said Saturday that Ukrainian artillery had destroyed most of a Russian column of military vehicles that entered the country earlier in the week. But he described the episode as a commonplace incident, refused to release further details and gave no indication that it marked the start of a more direct military engagement between Russia and Ukraine.

"This was a traditional route of movement of armored convoys to the territory of Ukraine, and the Ukraine military were able to destroy most of those convoys," Col. Lysenko said.

No photographs have surfaced of the aftermath of the attack, which Russia's Defense Ministry dismissed on Friday as "some kind of fantasy." The claim, marking the most direct and publicized military clash between Russia and Ukraine since the conflict began, jolted global markets Friday.......

China's military might is growing in leaps and bounds ....

and there's nothing that America, the self appointed policeman-cum-bully of the world, can do about it.
The vid is from early this year.

From ChinaPost:
China confirms new class long range missiles: report
China has acknowledged the existence of a new intercontinental ballistic missile said to be capable of carrying multiple nuclear warheads as far as the United States, state-run media reported Friday.

A government environmental monitoring center in Shaanxi said on its website that a military facility in the province was developing Dongfeng-41 (DF-41) missiles, the Global Times reported.

The DF-41 is designed to have a range of 12,000 kilometers (7,500 miles), according to a report by Jane's Strategic Weapon Systems, putting it among the world's longest-range missiles.

It is “possibly capable of carrying multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles,” the U.S. Defense Department said in a report in June, referring to a payload of several nuclear warheads.

China's military is highly secretive, and the Global Times said it had not previously acknowledged the existence of the DF-41.

The original government web post appeared to have been deleted on Friday, but the newspaper posted a screengrab.

It also quoted a Chinese military analyst as saying: “As the U.S. continues to strengthen its missile defense system, developing third generation nuclear weapons capable of carrying multiple warheads is the trend.”

China's defense ministry in January responded to reports that it had tested a hypersonic missile delivery vehicle by saying that any military experiments were “not targeted at any country and at any specific goals.”...
