Laughter rises like a nuclear cloud from the jokes cracked at the WH lapdog correspondents' dinner ....

while the Obama-created nightmare in Libya continues to grow and the USA has no qualms of conscience, none whatsoever, for the misery and instability it brings to nations around the world.

While Obama and gang are sending their lapdogs of the media into a frenzy of laughter and glee cracking jokes at the expense of Republicans (not that many of them don't deserve what they are getting) at the WH correspondents' dinner tonight, here's a sample of what's happening in Libya.

....A Libyan security   official on Saturday survived an assassination attempt by members of an Islamist militia in the volatile eastern city of Benghazi, a security spokesman said.

Gunmen opened fire on the car of Abdullah al-Saiti, commander of the city's security operations centre, while he was travelling in central Benghazi, said Ibrahim al-Shara, a security spokesman.

Saiti escaped unhurt, he said. The security operations centre is the top command of government security forces and militias allied to the government in the eastern city.

On Friday the government accused Islamist militants of the Ansar al-Sharia group of killing nine special forces soldiers during an attack on the city's security headquarters......

State Department: 'Libya Has Become a Terrorist Safe Haven'

The State Department's latest report on global terrorism, released Wednesday, lists Libya as a terrorist safe-haven for the second year in a row.
"With a weak government possessing very few tools to exert control throughout its territory, Libya has become a terrorist safe haven and its transit routes are used by various terrorist groups, notably in the southwest and northeast," says the 2013 Country Reports on Terrorism, released on Wednesday, April 30....
