Egypt likely to erupt for a third time ....


that's the vibe many people are getting.  Sentencing so many people to death is begging for a civil war.  I fear this country is about to erupt.  The worst affected if that happens, will be the Christians as the Muslim Brotherhood and supporters are blaming the  secular Egyptians being backed by Coptic Christians.

....A judge at a mass trial in Egypt has recommended the death penalty for 683 people - including Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie.

The defendants faced charges over an attack on a police station in Minya in 2013 in which a policeman was killed.
However, the judge also commuted to life terms 492 death sentences out of 529 passed in March in a separate case.
Also on Monday, a court banned a youth group that helped ignite the uprising that toppled Hosni Mubarak in 2011.

The decision passed in Cairo to outlaw the April 6 pro-democracy movement was based on a complaint that accused the group of "tarnishing the image" of Egypt and colluding with foreign parties.....

...The interim Egyptian government has called on its British counterpart to freeze funds of the Muslim Brotherhood and hand them over to Egypt, a senior Egyptian official unveiled Thursday.

“Egypt’s Justice Minister Neir Osman met with UK ambassador James Watt last Sunday and asked him to talk to London to freeze the Brotherhood’s assets in the UK, which Cairo estimates to be at billions [of dollars], and return them to Egypt,” Assistant Minister of Justice for International Cooperation Adel Fahmi told Anadolu Agency.

According to Fahmi, Egypt based its request on a government decision in December to brand the Brotherhood, which propelled ousted president Mohamed Morsi to power in 2012, as a "terrorist" organization and court rulings convicting the group’s leaders on violence charges....
