Turkey's Erdogan is being helped by Twitter's feed control of news from Turkey

It's just not believable that there's hardly any traffic on Twitter from the protesters today.  Right now (Sunday approx 2 AM over there) we can glean from a couple of tweets that the protests are in full swing in many cities and the biggest crowd must be  in Istanbul but Twitter is bending to the orders from the dictator and censoring  tweets from that country.  We can safely premise that that's what's happening because of the almost non-existence twitter traffic from Turkey.  Shame!!

From  HurriyetDaily:
...Everyone who will enter Istanbul's Gezi Park, the heart of the nearly 20-day-long protests, will be considered a terrorist, Turkey's European Union minister said in a televised interview today.
"[The police] will intervene to everybody who try to enter the Taksim Square [treating them] as a terrorist," Minister Egemen Bağış said hours after the police's intervention to protesters in Istanbul.
Clashes between the police and protesters are continuing around the park along with some other parts of the city. Bağış has been criticising the foreign media for exaggerating the protests in Turkey....

From AlArabiyaEnglish:
Turkish riot police storm Istanbul park   to end protests.  Turkish riot police stormed a central Istanbul park on Saturday firing tear gas and water cannon to evict hundreds of anti-government protesters, hours after an ultimatum from Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan.
Lines of police backed by armored vehicles sealed off Taksim Square in the center of the city as officers stormed the adjoining Gezi Park, where protesters had been camped in a ramshackle settlement of tents.
Erdogan had warned hours earlier that security forces would clear the square, the center of more than two weeks of fierce anti-government protests which spread to cities across the country, unless the demonstrators withdrew before a ruling party rally in Istanbul on Sunday.....
