Egypt ... just before the expected mayhem in a few short hours

How the USA misjudged Egyptians!   As usual the pundits in the USA knew exactly what citizens of Egypt needed ... the Muslim Brotherhood ... and went about giving them  exactly  that.    Nation building and  force feeding democracy in places on the other side of the world instead of taking care of  their own poverty ridden Americans or safeguarding their own freedom and democracy which is being eroded by Shariah every single day.
The entire world has been trying to tell Obama and his administration that their foreign policy is totally wrong .... but then when have socialists ever been known to listen to an opposing opinion?

From NDTV:
...Egypt MPs quit parliament  in support of anti-Morsi movement.  A group of secular-leaning deputies resigned on Saturday from Egypt's acting parliament in support of the people, they said, on the eve of mass rallies planned against Islamist President Mohamed Morsi.
At least eight deputies formally resigned from the Islamist-dominated Shura Council, Egypt's traditionally toothless upper house which took over legislative duties after parliament dissolved last year.
Several others had tendered their resignations but they are yet to be accepted, upper house speaker Ahmed Fahmy said in a statement........

From: NYTimes:
....Thousands of members   of the Muslim Brotherhood, many wearing hard hats and armed with makeshift clubs, are camped near the presidential palace in anticipation of a battle to defend their ally, President Mohamed Morsi. In three days of protests against him around the Nile Delta, gunmen have killed at least five Brotherhood members and set fire to several of its offices.......

From CNN:
Artists tend to occupy the front lines against repression. So it comes as no surprise that the occupation of Egypt's Ministry of Culture protesting the "Brotherhoodization" of the ministry under the leadership of Alaa Abdel-Aziz has helped drive the planned massive demonstrations against Mohamed Morsy on Sunday.
Once again, the U.S. government appears to be on the fence in Egypt, with Ambassador Anne Patterson expressing skepticism about "street action" that could result in violent protests.
"People realize that this is about the identity of Egypt," said Hazem Azmy, a scholar active in the Culture of Ministry occupation.........
