Project Conjugal exposes the Fake, Fake, Fake, Fake

How I loved the Seinfeld show!!  No other TV comedy series will ever be able to touch it... IMO.   None of that melodrama like you find in other situation comedies, just straight comedy, just straight laughs.

However, there's no  laughing about the fake marriages for immigration purposes in Canada.  But, I must admit, I guffawed at the name given to this project by the RCMP.  Who says Canadians don't have a sense of humor ????

The RCMP has charged 39 people   in an alleged bogus-marriage immigration scam that helped North African men stay in Canada illegally.
Amado Niang, the alleged ringleader, was scheduled to appear at a Montreal courthouse Tuesday. The 39 alleged co-conspirators are to appear in court Oct. 16.
Police say Niang was a bogus immigration consultant who would suggest that clients file false immigration requests to stay in Canada after their visas expired.
He was charged in January after Montreal-area women were allegedly paid to marry North African men.
The marriages allowed Niang's clients to stay in Canada illegally, police said.
Niang, 55, was arrested at Trudeau airport in October 2009 and police seized bogus immigration documents.
Police said there were 315 fake marriages involving more than 630 people.
The Mounties then launched the broader investigation, dubbed Project Conjugal, to find those involved.
