Just think what it would be without the oil sands exports!!
ReplyDeleteDrift to Thrift
ReplyDeleteIt certainly shows how well Norway spends it's petrodollars on it's undersea petroleum income.
I was in Norway a few years ago and saw that one no longer needs a boat to get from one fiord to the next. They have dug extensive tunnels between them that unites Norway more than it has ever been united. This under a Socialist government. Sadly they are also building government dependent jobs that will break the country when push comes to shove. They are slowly running out of oil so the state owned oil company (Statoil)has bought into the oil sands projects here in Canada.
Also undersea oil is losing support because of the BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Another state to watch in the drift to a new kind of economy based on thrift.
