Are our soldiers sent to Afghanistan to commit suicide? I hope this is not true of Canadian soldiers. If this is what Obama wants, even if it is only for US soldiers, then we should bring our soldiers back pronto. Right now, this hour, today, without delay.
According to Michael Yon's Facebook page : An American soldier emailed from Afghanistan saying that his unit has been ordered to patrol with no round in the chamber

Just to let you know...
ReplyDeleteWhen I was on patrol in Rwanda, Eritrea and the Golan, we were not even allowed to have the magazine in the rifle or pistol, let alone have a chambered round!
It was to be kept separate, in a pouch or pocket.
That was courtesy of the political soldiers at DND. We were denied our heavy weapons and relegated to small arms of 9mm and 7.62 caliber.
Have the Americans brought those old hacks out of retirement?
