Adil Charkaoui, a married father of three who has steadfastly denied any links to terrorists, said Wednesday he's elated with the judgment.

It is with great sadness that I see otherwise brilliant journalists like Jason Whitlock rely upon unreliable sources for despicable false quotes rather than fact-check, or, pray tell, actually call Rush before going to press.
But I also know that it is not the recently released false quotes that are at the heart of the faux uproar attending a possible purchase of the St. Louis Rams. The fake quotes were first posted on line in 2005. Rush has been vilified since 1988 for accurate quotes, either taken out of context, or completely misunderstood. But the main reason for the uproar is that liberals see conservatism itself as racist or, rather, a threat to their own racism cloaked as compassion.

according to bloggers at "Biased BBC" the watchdog blogspot always catching any bias that spews out of the BBC. It would be interesting to know the names of the main shareholders of the BBC. School girls attack a visually impaired grandma
This incident happened in Winnipeg and the sad thing is that people passing by did not come to the aid of the grandma and let the girls continue their attack on her.
......Chartrand, her grandson, who was riding on the back of the wheelchair, and Happy were on their way to a convenience store when the incident occurred shortly after noon on Oct. 5. The grandmother said they were attacked on the north sidewalk of Ellice Avenue between Banning and Arlington streets in the West End.
Chartrand said the girls are 12 to 14 years old and likely attend schools in the area. She said the girls were in her path -- purposely, she thinks -- so she asked them to move.

The amazing stuff that people of each and every religion on Earth seems to believe in, makes me wonder, only on rare occasions though, whether I am the loony one and whether people of deep religious faith who believe in the impossible, are the sane and sober ones.
Take for example the Shiite (also known as Shia) religion, the religion of Iran and to a great extent the religion of Iraq. A Shiite follower, steeped deeply into this tenet, firmly believes that "an apocalypse or a great chaos in the world" will herald the arrival of the 12th Mahdi and then the world will be at peace. Our favorite madman Ahmadinejad is a staunch believer in the coming of the 12th Mahdi and is rumored to have divulged that he has even been contacted by the Mahdi and has had a conversation with him.
Who is the 12th Mahdi?
“According to the Shiite version of Islam the 12th descendant of Mohammed, known as the 12th Imam or the Mahdi, (Also known as the "Hidden Imam”) went into hiding in 941, some 1300 years ago. I have Visitor fatigue .... make that "visitors" plural. I have been known to have the capacity to tolerate, for more than 24 hours, only 6/7 people throughout my life and all but one of them was a blood relative.
This year, knowing I am languishing at home, unemployed and having the time to respond to my relatives' inane emails within a day or two, have somehow made them all think, stupidly, that I have changed my spots and have become mellow and sweet and perhaps receptive to them invading my country and my home. Either the airlines are giving away super discounted fares or my relatives have become stinking rich.
I know for a fact that Canada has made it too easy for the world to visit their relatives in Canada. All one needs is a letter from the person they are visiting saying stuff like " I am so and so, and I live at so and so address, and I have been at this address for this many years, and I am inviting this person to visit me in Canada."
The visitor has to provide to the travel agent an agreement that says something like: ' I am so and so, and my address is so and so, and I am visiting my relative in Canada, who lives at so and so address, and I am carrying with me this many dollars, and I intend staying with my relative for this many days/weeks".
That's it ........and voila......... here's your visa and off you go to Canada to pester the hell out of your relative(s).
I have been having visitors from the last so many, many months, off and on. Different sets from different branches of the family tree. However, they all have things in common:
1) They come with heavy bulky suitcases;
2) they all tell me how I have not changed at all and what a good cook I am;
3) they all say "wow, at last I am seeing Canada, wow" (In most cases, it is just Toronto. But, who am I tell them different)
4) they bring for me and my tiny fam, things we no longer care to eat, smell or wear;
5) they look at grocery flyers and want to try out everything in there;
6) they keep me guessing about the date they will fly back .... (this is pure torture, I tell you, pure torture)
Yup, I am mean and horrible. But enough is enough already. We are thinking of changing our residence and keeping the new address a closely guarded secret.
One has just left yesterday and another one is due to arrive in a week's time. The new arrival is a young niece and this time we asked her point blank how long she intends staying. Her answer: "I want to see snow".
Have started praying that we get some soon, very very soon, PLEASE.
PS: Going to post many more items today, so this camoflauged titled post goes quickly to the next page of my blog....just in case my pesky relatives happen to visit my blog and come upon this. But wait... that might be a good thing.

I wonder what the number is like for Canada. Could it be like 300,000? And, where are they and what have they been doing and who is hiding them? How long would they have to be in the country before they can hire lawyers to gain legal citizenship thus jumping the queue and bypassing all the normal requirements for immigration? Maybe, for once our laid back MSM can conduct an investigation to find out and bring us the details instead of reading stuff easily available to 10 yr olds on the internet. An inquiry on illegal immigration, which in Canada would likely be from visitors who lose themselves amongst Canadians, would also make the Immigration dept and all the sub-offices attached to it, to buck up and take notice because if the MSM takes notice, it would mean that the voting public is taking notice.

Miss Mogahed made no challenge to these demands and said that "promiscuity" and the "breakdown of traditional values" were what Muslims admired least about the West. ..........

French agents have arrested a researcher from Europe's top atomic lab on suspicion of links to al-Qaeda, fuelling fears that terrorists could be targeting the nuclear industry.
The 32-year-old man, who was detained along with his brother, works for the prestigious European Organisation for Nuclear Research (Cern) in Geneva, Switzerland, according to French police sources.
''The inquiry will doubtless say what were the objectives in France or elsewhere and indicate perhaps that we have avoided the worst possible scenario,'' said Brice Hortefeux, the French Interior Minister.
An intelligence source told Le Figaro that ''this is a very high level'' case.

The public appearance is Palin's first in the United States since resigning her office in July. Palin's oldest son, Track, is a member of the brigade that recently returned from a yearlong deployment in Iraq.
"To Sarah Palin, who for the last year was the senior mom of the brigade and along with her husband Todd, is a distinguished member of the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team," Col. Burt Thompson, the brigade's commander, said.
"Ma'am, thanks for being here today and allowing your son to serve in our brigade. Thank you both for what you have done for your extended Army family and thanks for your unwavering support."............

Canadians have become more conservative and our neighbours are following suit
One year ago, PM Stephen Harper said: Canadians have become more accepting of small -c conservative ideas in recent years.
How true, how very true. Our PM seems to hit the right chords every single time. Remember his remarks last year about buying opportunities on the stock market, and how the media went after him for that? Look at the market today and compare it with just 10 months ago. Maybe, it's still a "false bull" which happens in periods of extended recessions. However, the fact remains that we have climbed a long way up from the bottom.
Yes, Canada is becoming more conservative. New immigrants are realizing with each passing day how the leftish parties of Canada are pandering to criminal factions in our society and how these parties are ever ready to show newcomers how best to suck on the government teats just like whores advertising their wares in glass windows.
Down south too, our neighbours are turning sour on the Democrats. Most people worth their salt do not want to be citizens of a nanny state, there is no dignity in such status. Of course, there will always be those whose mental laziness will not allow them to see beyond the brown envelops they receive every week, rain or shine, postal strike or not. You and me will receive pink slips, those on the government's teats have never known what it is like to be laid off. They get their pay-checks without fail
Being an immigrant myself, I hate it when I see the Liberals and the NDP putting on a grand show, pretending to care for the down-trodden. If they really and truly cared for the down-trodden and the minorities, they would be singing a completely different tune. They would be showing the new Canadians and the minorities that the government will always do the right thing to keep them safe which = keeping criminals and terrorists in jail and away from normal law abiding citizens. The exact opposite happens every time and every day. New immigrants coming to Canada cannot be fooled forever. They can see for themselves how the Liberals and the NDP are working overtime to free the scum of this earth from the clutches of the law, and how they take credit for letting such scum walk freely amongst the new immigrants' children and themselves.

What a mockery of the Nobel Peace prize
This organization too goes the way of the UN. Down, down and almost gone. If they could give it to Arafat, the father of terrorism, they can give it to anybody. Of late the most undeserving people have been getting Nobels. TimesonLine UK says it all.

Instead, the prize risks looking preposterous in its claims, patronising in its intentions and demeaning in its attempt to build up a man who has barely begun his period in office, let alone achieved any tangible outcome for peace........
