Our enemies in prison are granted more rights and privileges than law abiding citizens

Political correctness by our overlords has become the most terrible plague of our times.

Andrew C. McCarthy writing at PJMedia:
I was invited to provide commentary    Tuesday night on Megyn Kelly’s Fox News program (“The Kelly File”) regarding the all too predictable but nevertheless appalling news that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed — al Qaeda heavyweight, 9/11 mastermind, decapitator of Daniel Pearl, jihadist warring against America for the better part of two decades, and murderer of nearly 3,000 of our fellow citizens — has been permitted to transmit propaganda out of the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay. The interview is posted on Megyn’s site here — I respond to contentions made by the first guest, defense lawyer and former JAG Charles Swift.

More needs to be said on this. Let’s first consider the insanity of permitting enemy combatants to communicate with the outside world while the war ensues — and though the administration rarely speaks or acts as if there is a war going on, and while the public pays it scant attention, we still have forces in harm’s way pursuant to a congressional authorization of combat operations; we are still killing and capturing enemy operatives pursuant to the laws of war, which is only permissible during wartime.....

.....Obviously, then, an alien enemy combatant accused of war crimes is not entitled to the extensive contact with counsel afforded in the civilian justice system to Americans who are fully vested with Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights. And even less is an alien enemy combatant entitled to other, more general contact with the outside world....

.......After news broke of KSM’s dissemination of an Islamic manifesto and correspondence with a pen-pal in England, the Obama Defense Department responded to criticism by claiming it had an adequate procedure to vet the combatants’ communications prior to allowing their mailing or publication. That is absurd. .....

....In March 2005, NBC News reported that the jihadists convicted of bombing the World Trade Center in 1993, despite being incarcerated in the “super-max” high-security federal prison in Colorado, had been permitted to correspond with a terror cell in Madrid — and one even got a letter to al-Quds, a popular Arabic newspaper, proclaiming, “Osama bin Laden is my hero of this generation.” Nice vetting job, no? Spanish officials found that the letters from the imprisoned American terrorists were used to recruit jihadists in Spain, and that people on the receiving end of the correspondence were complicit in acts of terrorism.......

......Now, it is being gradually dismantled. Gitmo is being emptied by transferring terrorists back to countries where they can return to violent, anti-Western jihad. American combat forces, already suicidally hamstrung by unconscionable rules of engagement, are being withdrawn from Afghanistan even as the Taliban moves back in. Al Qaeda is ascendant in Iraq and across North Africa. .......

Some paras from Part II of the article above:

...I began The Grand Jihad, my 2010 book on the Muslim Brotherhood, with what may, from the Western standpoint, be the most important verse of the Koran, sura 9:29. It commands:

Fight those who believe not
In Allah nor the Last Day,
Nor hold that forbidden
Which hath been forbidden
By Allah and His Messenger,
Nor acknowledge the Religion
Of Truth [i.e., Islam], from among
The People of the Book [i.e., Jews and Christians]
Until they pay the Jizya [which I’ll explain momentarily]
With willing submission,

And feel themselves subdued.

Jihadists are not overly concerned with your conversion to Islam; their obsession is your society’s adoption of sharia. We commonly refer to sharia as “Islamic law” but, to be more accurate, it is Islam’s totalitarian societal framework, aspiring to regulate every aspect of human life — from great public matters of governance and war down to picayune matters of personal hygiene........

More stuff on Syria

Andrew McCarthy writing at PJMedia:
... Thanks to Republican Senators Rand Paul (of Kentucky) and Mike Lee (of Utah), we might finally get on Syria what we were denied on Libya: a real debate among the American people’s representatives over congressional authorization of President Obama’s unilateral war-making in the Middle East.

The Washington Examiner reports that Senators Paul and Lee have joined with two counterparts, Democrats Chris Murphy (of Connecticut) and Tom Udall (of New Mexico), in offering legislation that would block direct or indirect aid for military or paramilitary operations in Syria. The bill, which is posted on Paul’s website, is called the “Protecting Americans from the Proliferation of Weapons to Terrorists Act of 2013.”.....

Josh Gerstein writing at Politico:
A former Army medic from Arizona was indicted
Thursday for fighting in Syria in coordination with the Al-Nusra front, an Al-Qaeda-affiliated group working to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad's regime.

The indictment handed up in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va. charges Eric Harroun, 30, with conspiring to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization and with conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction overseas. The weapons, according to the indictment (posted here), were rocket-propelled grenades and grenades. He faces up to life in prison if convicted...........

From GulfToday:
Syrian rebels have recently received new weapons that could “change the course of the battle” against the Syrian regime, a spokesman for the Free Syrian Army (FSA) said on Friday.
The “Friends of Syria” group of countries that support the rebels was expected to announce in Doha on Saturday that it would arm the opposition, FSA spokesman Louay Muqdad said. “We’ve received quantities of new types of weapons, including some that we asked for and that we believe will change the course of the battle on the ground.
“We have begun distributing them on the front lines, they will be in the hands of professional officers and FSA fighters,” he said......

From LATimes:
U.S. has secretly provided    arms training to Syria rebels since 2012. CIA agents and special operations troops have trained the rebels in anti-tank and antiaircraft weaponry in Jordan and Turkey.

Have you heard the term "voluntary apartheid" ?

In his book "The Grand Jihad"  Andrew McCarthy uses the term for the first time.  Here in Canada we have a perfect example of this "voluntary apartheid" in our most populous city, Toronto.  That "voluntary apartheid" is found in all its glory in the Thorncliff  Park area, (and last I saw, it was spreading outwards to Overlea Boulevard and vicinity) a section of East York.  The non-Muslims in that area are moving out and even the rental offices for the numerous blocks of  high rises there are now in the hands of  Muslims.  Going to the East York mall is like visiting a suq in the Middle East.  I have been told that the United Church dhimmis in that neighborhood  are also doing their bit to spread "goodwill" and holding samosa sessions on their  premises.  Anybody wanna bet that the church premises, at present shared by RC, United and other denominations, will soon become another mosque?

On page 270 of McCarthy's book, he writes:
Move through Obama's career as a community organizer, his embrace of ACORN, his radical associations: the common denominator is a purpose to break down the Unum at its foundations, what he calls the "grass roots."  For America, he plans an atom bomb.  Or, to be precise, an atoms bomb:  countless communities in cities and townss across the land, organized along Saul Alinksy's brand of Marxism, into socialist enclaves.  It fits hand in glove with Yusuf Qaradawi's voluntary apartheid, the enclave strategy of the Muslim Brotherhood.  Each atom smothers the individual freedom and enterprise that have defined the American character, replacing them with welfare-rousers.

To be sure, there is an Unum that Obama sees.  It is in his mind's eye - clearer on the horizon now than when he began his project twenty-five years ago.  It will arrive when the atoms reach critical mass and finally devour the hollowing carcass of our present society.  This, too, jibes perfectly with the Islamist scheme to destroy America from within, the Grand Jihad

This vid below is  from about 2 years ago.  Andrew McCarthy talks to Frank Gaffney on the  islamization of  European cities and towns.  He should try and  visit Thorncliff Park and vicinity in Toronto to gain first hand knowledge on how it must have all begun in  Malmo and other cities of  Europe while their politicians happily accepted bribes and dhimmihood and slept peacefully never caring a hoot for the ordinary citizens of their countries.

Thorncliff Park and vicinity will be at the top of  the list of  NO GO zones in Canada....in the very near future.

We told you so .... but the wilful deaf are also wilfully blind to logic and sanity

Wonder why the MSM are not labelling what's happening in Egypt as "the swan song of the Arab spring for Egypt".  Remember how enthusiastic they all were with the bringing down of Mubarak and the raising up of the Muslim Brotherhood ??    Hypocrites .... all of them.

Andrew C. McCarthy writing at NationalReview:
As Egypt under the heel of Mohamed Morsi     unravels, here’s the late-breaking news: The Muslim Brotherhood is the enemy of democracy.

This has always been obvious to anyone who took the time to look into it. Nevertheless, it has not been an easy point to make lo these many years. Even as the Justice Department proved beyond any doubt in court that the Brotherhood’s major goal in America and Europe — its self-professed “grand jihad” — is “eliminating and destroying Western civilization,” to have the temerity to point this out is to be smeared as an “Islamophobe.” That’s the Islamophilic Left’s code for “racist.”

Nor is it just the Left. Like the transnational progressives who hold sway in Democratic circles, many of the neoconservative thinkers who have captured Republican foreign-policy making encourage “outreach” to “moderate Islamists” — a ludicrously self-contradictory term. The idea is to collaborate in the construction of “Islamic democracies.” That’s another nonsensical term — to borrow Michael Rubin’s quote of a moderate Muslim academic piqued by the encroachments of Turkey’s ruling Islamists, “We are a democracy. Islam has nothing to do with it.” That is clearly right. Yet, to argue the chimerical folly of the sharia-democracy experiment is to be demagogued as an “isolationist.” It is as if the Right can no longer fathom an engaged foreign policy that concentrates solely on vital U.S. interests and treats America’s enemies as, well, enemies......

Glenn Beck and Andrew McCarthy ... right as always

Andrew McCarthy writing at RightSideNews:
...Democrats and their sharky Obamedia  defense lawyers are in a snit. For three dreamy convention days in Charlotte, they told themselves that, for the first time in decades, it was their guy who had the upper hand when it came to national security. Now that bubble has burst, the way contrived narratives do when they crash into concrete challenges. At that point, an airy president of the world won’t do; we need to have a president of the United States, a job that has never suited, and has never been of much interest to, Barack Obama.
Defense against foreign enemies is the primary job of the president of the United States. The rationale for the office’s creation is national defense — not green venture capitalism, not rationing medical care, not improving the self-image of the “Muslim world,” not leaving no child behind, not blowing out the Treasury’s credit line. Yet, though we are entering the late innings, foreign policy and national defense have not been factors in the 2012 campaign.....

......When it came, Obama’s moment was entirely predictable. It was, after all, self-inflicted: the inevitable fallout of policy crafted by the faculty-lounge pinhead, whose ideas are so saccharine smug there’s never a thought of anything so jejune as their consequences. Obama being Obama, when the consequences came, he crawled under his desk — before escaping to a Vegas fundraiser.
“The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.” So declared the Obama State Department in a statement issued on the website of its Egyptian embassy. At the time, it was clear that another episode of Muslim mayhem was imminent.
The statement is a disgrace, just as Mitt Romney said it was. It elevated over the U.S. Constitution (you know, the thing Obama took an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend”) the claimed right of sharia supremacists (you know, “Religion of Peace” adherents) to riot over nonsense. Further, it dignified the ludicrous pretext that an obscure, moronic 14-minute video was the actual reason for the oncoming jihad.

Here is the important part, however, the part not to be missed, no matter how determined the president’s media shysters are to cover it up: The disgraceful embassy statement was a completely accurate articulation of longstanding Obama policy.....
.....In its obsession with propitiating Islamic supremacists, the Obama administration has endorsed this license to mutilate. In the United States, the First Amendment prohibits sharia restrictions on speech about religion. As any Catholic or Jew can tell you, everyone’s belief system is subject to critical discussion. One would think that would apply doubly to Islam. After all, many Muslims accurately cite scripture as a justification for violence; and classical Islam recognizes no separation between spiritual and secular life — its ambition, through sharia, is to control matters (economic, political, military, social, hygienic, etc.) that go far beyond what is understood and insulated as “religious belief” in the West. If it is now “blasphemy” to assert that it is obscene to impose capital punishment on homosexuals and apostates, to take just two of the many examples of sharia oppression, then we might as well hang an “Out of Business” sign on our Constitution.

The Obama administration, however, did not leave it at the 2009 resolution. It has continued to work with the OIC on subordinating the First Amendment to sharia’s defamation standards — even hosting last year’s annual conference, a “High Level Meeting on Combatting Religious Intolerance.” That paragon of speech sensitivity, Secretary of State Hillary “We Came, We Saw, He Died” Clinton, hailed as a breakthrough a purported compromise that would have criminalized only speech that incited violence based on religious hostility. But it was a smokescreen: Speech that intentionally solicits violence, regardless of the speaker’s motivation, is already criminal and has always been exempted from First Amendment protection. There is no need for more law about that.....

Obama and Romney .... same, same

Only difference is: Obama lies with a straight face, Romney has yet to reach that level of duplicity.  Come November, America will be replacing one delusional president with another delusional one.... the new one might be genuinely even less informed about the danger of  Islam than Obama pretends to be.

Cliff Kincaid writing at RightSideNews:
....It is a subject that Mitt Romney and Barack Obama  don’t want to talk about. But former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy on Wednesday offered a virtual indictment of top State Department official Huma Abedin as a security risk and said that Obama’s embrace of the anti-American Muslim Brotherhood constitutes a national security crisis and should be a major campaign issue.

McCarthy, who prosecuted the perpetrators of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, said it’s “vitally important” that Romney speak out publicly in support of the five members of Congress asking questions about Muslim Brotherhood influence over U.S. policy. He said Romney should “stand up and be counted.”........

....At a packed news conference with six television cameras and journalists overflowing into the hallway, Center for Security Policy president Frank Gaffney introduced McCarthy and released a ream of documents on Muslim Brotherhood infiltration of the U.S. Government. The conference was carried by the C-SPAN television network and is available for viewing.

....But while the Obama Administration has taken the brunt of the criticism, one of Romney’s foreign policy advisers, Robert Kagan, has been labeled a useful idiot or stooge for the Muslim Brotherhood. Kagan is a member of Romney’s foreign policy team and works at the liberal Brookings Institution.

At the time that the rule of U.S. ally Hosni Mubarak was under assault from street protests led by the Muslim Brotherhood, Kagan wrote a column for The Washington Post threatening the Egyptian government if it successfully repressed the revolutionary turmoil.

During an appearance on CNN, Kagan attacked Glenn Beck, then with Fox News, for predicting that a Muslim takeover of Egypt could lead to an expansion of Islamist power in the Middle East and elsewhere. Kagan called it “panic-mongering of the worst kind,” adding, “It’s not the first time in American history that kind of panic mongering has played well on TV or in the press…I think we need to be intelligent about how we move forward. Not be guided by panic about some global Islamic takeover. And, in fact, that kind of panic leads to the worst kind of policies.”....

Islamization of the USA given the go ahead by Obama and gang

Why are people so blind to what the Muslim Brotherhood and the architects of the Caliphate are planning for planet Earth ???   Will Curiosity do it's analysis of the red planet in time for us infidels to migrate to Mars and  away from an Islamized Earth?

vid via: FamilySecurityMatters

Andrew McCarthy writing at PJMedia:
.....  The Obama administration will not explain    how it came to issue a visa to Hani Nour Eldin, a known member of the Egyptian terrorist organization Ga’amat al-Islamia, the Islamic Group (IG). The explanation is not forthcoming because what it portends is even more sinister than this one infuriating incident.

To call the IG a “terrorist organization” is not just purple prose. The IG is a terrorist organization that has carried out actual mass-murder attacks. There is a formal legal process under which such groups are “designated” as terrorist organizations. The IG has long been formally designated under that process. Once that process has occurred, any American citizen who tries to provide material support to members of a designated terrorist organization — i.e., any American citizen who tried to do what the Obama administration has done for Eldin — would be in jeopardy of being convicted of a serious federal felony worth upwards of 15 years’ imprisonment.

And Hani Nour Eldin is, indisputably, a member of the IG — we are not speculating here. Eldin is quite proud of his membership. He has been unabashed about it. The Obama administration, moreover, does not even attempt either to deny that Eldin is an IG member or to suggest that the issuance of a visa to him — to say nothing of the subsequent meetings he was invited to have with top American national security officials — was the result of some misunderstanding or monumental screw-up. Eldin was very intentionally brought to Washington. Despite the fact that the leader of his organization — the “Blind Sheikh,” Omar Abdel Rahman — is responsible for massive terrorist attacks against American civilians, Eldin was hosted here as if he were a politician rather than a terrorist.....

Top Hamas supporter in USA was nutured and shielded by the left

Isn't it amazing how those who want to destroy America and the West take the utmost advantage of  what the West has to offer while plotting our demise, AND the traitorous Left always support them unquestioningly?  It happens again and again and again and all with the superb help from the lefty press.

This chilling tale of how one of the topmost supporter of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, lived as one of his  neighbours in Ohio, comes from Patrick Poole writing at PJMedia. After the article appeared on PJM yesterday, Poole was on GBTV talking to Glenn Beck and Andrew McCarthy (vid below) on this issue.

...Two weeks after the Dispatch article   appeared defending Salah Sultan as a well-respected Islamic scholar and local interfaith leader (curiously, the Dispatch article can no longer be found on their website), he appeared on Al-Risala TV where he claimed that the 9/11 attacks were a U.S. government plot to victimize Muslims. He also defended designated terrorist and al-Qaeda cleric Abdul Majid al-Zindani:......

......Also, in November Sultan was the organizer of a “March Against the Judaization of Jerusalem” (here is an English-language report noting his leadership in the event), which is rather remarkable, as the Jews have been living in Jerusalem for more than 3,000 years. During events related to the march, reports indicate that speakers railed against “those treacherous Jews.”

At a November 25 rally at the Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo, Sultan can be seen marshaling religious leaders invoking the notorious Islamic hadith about the end times, when the stones and trees will say “O Muslim, there is a Jew behind me. Come kill him.

As noted by an Anti-Defamation League (ADL) report, in February Sultan gave a speech at an IUMS meeting in Cairo where he blamed violence against Egyptian Christians on “acts of Jews.” At the event, the crowd was led in a chant: “To Jerusalem we are going as martyrs in millions.”.....

.....One of the other issues that the Columbus Dispatch took me to task for was my connecting Sultan to international Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, whom the ADL describes at the “Theologian of Terror” for — among other things — his religious endorsement of suicide bombings by Hamas as “martyrdom” (he was the first major Sunni cleric to do so), and by Iraqi insurgents targeting American soldiers and contractors.

As far back as 2008 I noted the close relationship between Qaradawi and Sultan, including the appearance of Sultan at a July 2007 conference in Doha, Qatar (Qaradawi’s base), where Sultan praised Qaradawi as his teacher and mentor. Sultan later appeared on the main speakers’ dais with Qaradawi and Khaled Meshaal......

In which Quebec students decry the increase in tuition fees, South Sudan gets bombed by the muzzie northern govt. and a Russian missile cruiser pays us a friendly visit

....“This mobilization sends a clear message to the government that students will not accept higher tuition fees and will do everything in their power to overturn this decision,” march organizers said in a statement.

But the provincial government, which recently stood firm in a similar skirmish with unions, appears to be digging in its heels again. Mr. Charest said he won't back down on the higher fees, which will increase by $325 per year from now until 2016.

Russian missile cruiser pays a friendly visit to Vancouver port and city.

Dr. Daniel Pipes trying to make sense of Western logic re. the uprisings. The Arab upheavals of 2011 have inspired wildly inconsistent Western responses. How, for example, can one justify abiding the suppression of dissidents in Bahrain while celebrating dissidents in Egypt? Or protect Libyan rebels from government attacks but not their Syrian counterparts? Oppose Islamists taking over in Yemen but not in Tunisia?

Such ad hockery reflects something deeper than incompetence: the difficulty of devising a constructive policy toward a region where, other than in a few outliers (Cyprus, Israel, and Iran), populations are predominantly hostile to the West. Friends are few, powerless, and with dim prospects of taking control. Democracy therefore translates into hostile relations with unfriendly governments.

Both the first wave of elections in 2005 and the second wave, just begun in Tunisia, confirm that, given a free choice, a plurality of Middle Easterners vote for Islamists. Dynamic, culturally authentic and ostensibly democratic, these forward a body of uniquely vibrant political ideas and constitute the only Muslim political movement of consequence.......

Will NATO go to the rescue of South Sudan? The government of Sudan has started BOMBING South Sudan. Remember how quickly UN and NATO took action against Libya? The atrocities in Sudan have been happening for years and most of them are state sponsored. Even after the Christian-heavy South has separated from the largely muslim country, the Sudanese govt's lust for Christian blood has not ceased. South Sudan refugee camp bombed by muzzie Sudan. The bombings killed more than a dozen people.

Fort Hood churning out crazies

Nearly a century ago, in the 1920s, Austrian scientists Friedrich Paneth and Kurt Peters hypothesized a form of nuclear reaction that doesn’t produce radiation. And since then, the theory of cold fusion -- or "low-energy nuclear reaction," as its champions now call it -- has popped in and out the public's eyes, notably hitting the cover of Time magazine in 1989.

Jonathan Koomey, an energy consultant who has advised the EPA, said any extraordinary discovery requires extraordinary proof. He said the E-Cat must be verified by an independent study conducted by scientists who are allowed access to the machine’s inner-workings....

Andrew McCarthy on how our leaders release known terrorists without a care for the citizenry.

Saturday, May 14, 2011

Andrew McCarthy is too polite .... he can't bring himself to say "I told you so" ....

so.... I will say it for him.   I TOLD YOU SO !!!!

Screaming “With our blood and soul, we will defend you, Islam,” jihadists stormed the Virgin Mary Church in northwest Cairo last weekend. They torched the Coptic Christian house of worship, burned the nearby homes of two Copt families to the ground, attacked a residential complex, killed a dozen people, and wounded more than 200: just another day in this spontaneous democratic uprising by Muslim hearts yearning for freedom.

In the delusional vocabulary of the “Arab Spring,” this particular episode is known as a sectarian “clash.” That was the Washington Post’s take. Its headline reads “12 dead in Egypt as Christians and Muslims clash” — in the same way, one supposes, that a mugger’s fist can be said to “clash” with his victim’s face. The story goes on, in nauseating “cycle of violence” style, to describe “clashes between Muslims and Coptic Christians” that “left” 12 dead, dozens more wounded, “and a church charred” — as if it were not crystal clear who were the clashers and who were the clashees, as if the church were somehow combusted into a flaming heap without some readily identifiable actors having done the charring.............
