A few days ago, I read in one of the middle east forums, that there were close to a 100 warships hovering just beyond Iranian waters. I make easy pickings from those in my family who think I exaggerate too much and am full of conspiracy theories. When people refuse to believe me, I tell them to put their money on the table and I will prove to them that my instincts with a bit of reseach never betray me. So, I had bet that not only are there warships from NATO members in the vicinity of Iran but that the USA would also send heavy state of the art weaponry and never seen before artillery to join the others, if not already done so.

The reason why we like Jason Kenney a lot
Remember how the MSM were criticizing Minister Kenney for not bringing in the orphaned adoptees into Canada pronto?
This is the reason why Kenney, wise man that he is, did not jump the queue and did not let anyone pull his strings.
This is the reason why Kenney, wise man that he is, did not jump the queue and did not let anyone pull his strings.
In addition to outright trafficking in children, authorities have voiced fears since the quake that legitimate aid groups may have flown earthquake orphans out of the country for adoption before efforts to find their parents had been exhausted
As a result, the Haitian government halted many types of adoptions earlier this month. There are no reliable estimates of the number of parentless and lost children at risk in Haiti's quake-shattered capitalAnd, how about that foolish Liberal leader Ignatieff saying things like we "should broaden the family class category and speed Haitian immigrants entry into Canada". Jason Kenney is again 100% correct in not opening the flood gates to this kind of immigration without all the processes being done fully and completely. As much as my heart goes out to the people of Haiti, emotions should not interfere in making sure that the Haitian refugees and immigrants coming into Canada are who they say they are and not some common criminals, who unfortunately make up a staggering percentage of Haitians.

Yahoo's weather widget goes bonkers....
knowingly and by design? First it is Google that go slant and now Yahoo too does the dirty on us. These search engines are at the mercy of their drivers and the drivers are becoming more and more unstable in the dying days of Leftism.
Apparently someone has convinced Yahoo to go into their News Weather data, erase "Ariel, Israel" as a valid location, and replace it "Jenin, Palestinian Occupied Territories." The 20,000 residents from Ariel, where the relevant weather station is built, apparently don't deserve their own weather. Yahoo has decreed that it belongs to the residents of Jenin, which is 25 miles north and 850 feet lower. It's absurd that this kind of petty crap even has to be addressed, but inasmuch as it's part and parcel of a broad-based replacement geography campaign it's unfortunately not trivial......

The curse of religions ....
every last one of them. Hit me all you want, but I think that there are fanatics in all religions... be it Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism... what have you. There are basket-cases in all religions but the most deadly and the biggest percentage can be found only in the believers of Islam. The other day someone called me a racist because of my stance on muslims. I thought racism meant that one was against a race or a black person, or a brown person or a yellow person or a white person or maybe against a green Martian as well... who knows what racism stands for anymore.
The word "racist" is brandish about by the Left so much that it has completely lost it's impact and also it's meaning. If I am against Somali muslims (black) or against Saudi Arabian muslims (brown) or against Russian muslims (white) or against Martian muslims (green, I am presuming that's their color from the images in comic books) then I suppose I am a full blown racist and against everybody on this planet and beyond. Wow.... Quick somebody get the strait jacket so I can be strapped and parcelled off post haste to the nearest loony bin so muslims of every color and race are saved from my venom.
What brought this on? Read the article below and you will see how the plague of islam is the worst enemy the West will ever encounter. And the stupid amongst us dare to call those who oppose islam, racists.
....Court documents unsealed by federal prosecutors in Minneapolis on November 23, 2009 provide a detailed look at how al-Shabaab recruits and raises money in the United States. The documents examine the case of Burhan Ahmed, who was part of a group of four men who left the Minneapolis area in December 2007 to fight against Ethiopian forces that had invaded Somalia. He first went to Saudi Arabia to participate in the pilgrimage to Mecca, then joined the other three at an al-Shabaab safe house in Somalia.
Between December 2007 and February 2008 the men moved "from northern Somalia to an al-Shabaab training camp in southern Somalia, staying at multiple al-Shabaab houses along the way," according to a criminal complaint by FBI Special Agent Michael Cannizzaro. "The trainees were trained by, among others, Somali, Arab, and Western instructors in, among other things, small arms, machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades, and military-style tactics. The trainees were also indoctrinated with anti-Ethiopian, anti-American, anti-Israeli, and anti-Western beliefs."...... read the whole thing

You have until midnight tomorrow ....
to take advantage of the Home Renovation Tax Credit. This was one of the several great ideas from the Harper govt. Works like a charm and I hope it will continue. Great for business and great for homeowners. You wonder why the USA did not think of something so effective and yet so simple? It's because they have nuts in the WH. Three cheers for the Harper govt and for Canada's slow but steady recovery from the doldrums.
HRTC expires midnight Jan 31 How does it work? The HRTC is a 15% non-refundable tax credit for "eligible" renovation expenditures made to your home or vacation property. The credit applies to any amounts spent over $1,000, up to a maximum of $10,000, producing a maximum credit of $1,350....

Funny stuff from NP's Full Comment
Kelly McParland has published some rude comments he gets, and he gets them even on articles that he has not authored. If they appear in Full Comment, everyone presumes they are his. Over and besides, I am directing you there, for another reason. You will know what, when you get there.
Also, I found this comment pretty funny and am wondering if Finn is actually Marx who keeps placing comments all over the BT blogs, or maybe not. Marx does not hate the Chinese, but this goes to prove that there are lefties like Marx all over.

Come on, try guessing who the author happens to be? Okay, I will drop some hints. He is a well-known personality and very passionate about what he does. He is sort of a comedian too as he can make us Conservatives laugh but the Left absolutely hates him. Who is he???
I'm not trying to say that home ownership is a horrible idea. It works for many people but the perception that owning is always the best option for everyone is simply a relic from the past. It was created when our grandparents lived in the same town for 50 years, worked at the same job for 30 years, and stayed married for longer than six months.
These days over 20 million Americans change jobs every year and the typical worker changes jobs about ten times before age 40.We move from town to town state to state and increasingly from country to country. Estimates show that the average person now moves about 12 times in his or her life. Unless you're planning on living to 360 years old, how does a 30-year mortgage fit into that lifestyle?
Given how much we all move around, buying a home with a 30-year mortgage is akin to buying a new car with a five-year loan and selling it after 10 months, only to buy another car with another five year loan. Of course, the difference is that we expect auto values to constantly fall, unlike home values, which we expect to constantly rise. Just one of the Lehman Bothers how infallible that plan is.
The truth is that a home may be where the heart is, but it's also where the rest of your body is stuck. Owning a home can put you in a position where the local economy dictates your personal economy. For example, think about "Allentown", Not the real Allentown in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, that has had almost exactly the same unemploymnet as the rest of the country for the last 20 years. I mean, Billy Joel's "Allentown", that miserable place where they've taken all the coal from the ground, and all the union people crawled awaaaaaayaaaayaaaayaaay. You see, when you're living there in Allentown, and they're closing all the factories down, the appropriate response is not to start killing, filling out forms, and standing in line. Instead, it's a much better idea to pack up and move to Orlando. Or some other place where jobs are available.
But, when you own a home that decision isn't really yours. It depends on convincing someone you don't know that the town you want to leave is a place they want to live. Then, they have to want it bad enough to buy your house at a price that doesn't put you tens of thousands of dollars in the hole.

Climategate and the crooked crooks
Very informative and detailed article on "climategate"
....The leaked e-mails did not surprise McKitrick He told me that scientists closely interacting with the IPCC had resorted to “playground bullying, intolerance of dissent.” People at the IPCC are “very insular, very defensive, they don’t like being criticized, and what I mean by that is, if a paper comes out that they disagree with, they’re less likely to grapple with the content [and instead] will attack.” Richard Lindzen, a professor of atmospheric sciences at Harvard and a long-time skeptic, says of the e-mails: “These are not ambiguous. They’re talking about suppressing other scientists. But there’s no surprise. Those of us who are in the field have seen this. The only surprise is that someone actually got hold and sorted these documents.”............
.........Yet the scandal has not led to serious policy reconsiderations or even significant stigmatization for many of the scientists and organizations implicated. Instead, even as fundamental suppositions about climate change were being challenged, the Environmental Protection Agency took initial steps to implement the most extensive carbon-emissions regulations the United States has ever seen. And only a few weeks afterward, the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference, with 192 countries in attendance, began without meaningfully addressing the Climategate e-mails..........

Can Palin punch or what!!
Why do people think that she will fail in her bid for the Presidency, IF she ever decides to run, is a never- ending mystery to me. She is what the doctor has prescribed for the ailing USA.
While I don’t wish to speak too harshly about President Obama’s state of the union address, we live in challenging times that call for candor. I call them as I see them, and I hope my frank assessment will be taken as an honest effort to move this conversation forward.
He talked like a Washington “outsider,” but he runs Washington! He’s had everything any president could ask for – an overwhelming majority in Congress and a fawning press corps that feels tingles every time he speaks. There was nothing preventing him from pursuing “common sense” solutions all along. He didn’t pursue them because they weren’t his priorities, and he spent his speech blaming Republicans for the problems caused by his own policies...... read further

Last night, the president spoke of the “credibility gap” between the public’s expectations of their leaders and what those leaders actually deliver. “Credibility gap” is a good way to describe the chasm between rhetoric and reality in the president’s address. The contradictions seemed endless.
He called for Democrats and Republicans to “work through our differences,” but last year he dismissed any notion of bipartisanship when he smugly told Republicans, “I won.”

From the book I am reading
A page from the book. Can you tell from the writing the name of the author and the title of the book?
If you can read this, thank a teacher.
If you can't, thank a Teachers' Union
Of course, the progressive education movement doesn't like that. It's biased or unfair or something. I forget the actual claim. So they want to make education warmer, friendlier, happier. They believe the educational environment should be nuturing and comforting - not discouraging. That's why using red pens to correct tests is out (red is harsh!) and purple (ahh, soothing) is in.
Progressive education also attempts to "level the playing field," which, if I may translate from progressivian to common sense, means "lowering the standards." In this feel-good, sunshine and lollipops world, everyone's work goes up on the walls because it's all sooooooo wonderful! You see, it's not fair to judge a child's work because there are no wrong answers, only life experiences.
Progressive education began with the goal of providing a nurturing environmnet that aimed at kids' hearts rather than their heads. The movement's leader, John Dewey was a champion of education reform and believed the whole "teachers teach students facts" concept was so nineteenth century. He saw the role of the teacher as more of a coach and the role of the state as necessary to "bring about the improvements progressives sought."
What does that mean as far as how our kids are actually taught in the classroom? Dewey didn't try to hide his beliefs:

"existing life is so complex that the child cannot be brought into contact with it without either confusion or distraction; he is either overwhelmed by a multiplicity of activities which are going on, so that he loses his own power of orderly reaction, or he is so stimulated by these various activities that his powers are permanently called into play and he becomes either unduly specialized or else disintegrated."

Hazing means "love and trust" ???
You can call it "hazing" .... I call it sadism. Such practices should be totally banned. This is just one of the ways bullies act, pretending to follow traditions and accepted norms of behaviour.
......"They told us there was no hazing, that they didn’t believe in it," she said Then the paddles came out. The pledges, clad in sweat pants, were instructed to wrap blue and gold tape around the wooden paddles, each a foot long and 6 inches wide, she said.
She was struck 19 times that night, she said. Four sorority members delivered the blows, the pledge said, while two others supervised. She said the group was told the beatings would "humble" them and would get them to rely upon one another.....

Veterans Today join Obama against Supreme Court decision
The US Supreme Court decision of doing away with limits on donations to political parties has warranted criticism from the most unlikely source. Who would have thought that veterans would be dead set against this decision. Veterans Today is a website that is run by 50 or so vets and their senior editor has posted a hard-hitting article calling for the arrest of 5 Supreme Court justices for treason.
I don't know about you, but I am with the vets and Obama on this one because I can see the influence of countries like Saudi Arabia and China making inroads into the US government by throwing mountains of money at the candidates who will be best suited to be their puppets.
......Their ruling has made it legal for foreign controlled corporations to flush unlimited money into our bloated political system to further corrupt something none of us trust and most of us fear. The “corporation/person” that the 5 judges, the “neocon” purists, have turned the United States over to isn’t even American. Our corporations, especially since our economic meltdown are owned by China, Russia and the oil sheiks along with a few foreign banks. They don’t vote, pay taxes, fight in wars, need dental care, breathe air, drive cars or send children to school. Anyone who thinks these things are people is insane. Anyone who would sell our government to them is a criminal and belongs in prison. There is nothing in the Constitution that makes this “gang of five” bribe sucking clowns above the law. There is nothing in the Constitution that even mentions corporations much less gives them status equal to or greater than the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government.
The Supreme Court of the United States has no right to breathe human life into investment groups owned by terrorist sympathizers, foreign arms dealers or groups working for the downfall of the United States and everything we believe in, but 5 “justices” have done just that. We now have a new government above our government, above our people, one above any law. Five judges have created institutionalized gangsterism as the new form of government for the United States.......
Obama must be happy.
President Obama on Saturday promised to fight a Supreme Court decision easing limits on political donations by corporations and unions, saying he couldn't "think of anything more devastating to the public interest."
In its 5-4 decision this week, the high court overturned two decisions and threw out parts of a 63-year-old law that said companies and unions can be prohibited from using their own money to produce and run campaign ads that urge the election or defeat of particular candidates by name.
The case involved a film by conservative group Citizens United, which criticized then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary campaign. Supporters called the decision a big win for free speech. But in his weekly radio and Internet message Obama said it was unacceptable.........

Say "sorry" and all is forgiven
Nothing and nobody can stop the UK from rushing headlong towards the black hole of nothingness. via: Religion of Peace comes this precious little tale about a cute little darling of just 13 years who repented for his sins by saying "sorry". It's enough to make one feel nice and fuzzy buzzy with the whole wide world.
A boy of 13 who overpowered a woman then raped her in front of his two friends will spend just three years locked away for his crimes.
Balal Khan - thought to be one of the youngest convicted rapists in Britain - targeted the 20-year-old as she walked home.
He subjected her to a severe beating then screamed at her 'Do what I say or I'll kill you', before putting her through the ordeal of a terrifying sex attack.
Then he stole her bag and phone and even took a call from his victim's boyfriend to whom he bragged about what he had done.
But after pleading guilty to charges of rape and robbery the teenager was sentenced to just three years because of his age - and because he said ‘sorry’...........

I like Liberal MP Gerry Byrne
This is the way to win hearts and minds of people who think that activists, especially PETA, are becoming violent and unstable. A Lib.MP has said what I would have expected to come from Conservative MPs. Why the silence guys? Did you all have a laugh at Ms.Shea's pieing ? Or is the MSM only telling us about a Lib MP and refraining to tell us what Conservative MPs are saying about the reaction to this shameful incident?
Anyway, Thank you Mr.Byrne for your very sensible approach to this incident.
A Liberal MP says he believes the federal government should investigate whether the pieing of Fisheries Minister Gail Shea by a woman opposed to the seal hunt constitutes an act of terrorism.
Shea was delivering a speech Monday at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters in Burlington, Ont., when a woman stood up and pushed a tofu cream pie squarely into the minister's face.
The animal-rights group PETA later took responsibility for the incident. It said in a release that it was part of its campaign "to stop the government's ill-advised sanction of the slaughter of seals."
MP Gerry Byrne says he thinks what happened should be reviewed under the legal definition of terrorism. ....

Obey the rule of Zakat all ye Muslims....
or else no virgins for you. AH HAH!! Now we know why the Muslim countries have not donated to Haiti or if they have, it is so minimal that it is almost insignificant. I believe Mohammad Ali, of the boxing arena fame, implored people of his adopted religion to give Zakat which I presume means a "donation" in our "inferior" language. However, according to their book they are not supposed to :
One can reference “Reliance of the Traveler: A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law” for confirmation of this. This passage is from Book H “Zakat” on page 274:
h8.24 It is not permissible to give zakat to a non-Muslim
In encouraging others to give to charity to help those in need in Haiti, Ali was doing good work perhaps. But zakat is actually quite different from what we in the West understand charity to be. Most importantly, zakat donations cannot go to non-Muslims. If a Muslim wishes to help the overwhelming majority of the Haitian quake victims, they will have to do so outside of the system of zakat, despite what Ali says......

Forty years of feminism ... work well done
to corrupt, deprave and dumb down society. A number of these feminists like Gloria Steinem were in the pay of the CIA to disrupt and distract society with the nuisance they spurt forth endlessly, molding and corrupting the minds of the young. To perform a complete turn around from this distructive trend that these feminists have sown, we have to be more outspoken and voices like Pam Geller's are well equipped to do just that. Feminism was respected at one time. Feminism brought equality between men and women and gave women the right to vote in the USA and in Canada and in other democracies. Now, most thinking women look on the present day feminism as prostitution and nothing more.
A new documentary, Oral Sex Is the New Goodnight Kiss, chronicles America's moral decay. Sharlene Azam, a Canadian filmmaker, says, "If you talk to teens [about oral sex], they'll tell you it's not a big deal. In fact, they don't consider it sex. They don't consider a lot of things sex." In the documentary, teenage girls talk casually about their sexual experiences and even their forays into prostitution.
One girl sums up the new attitudes: "Five minutes and I got $100. If I'm going to sleep with them anyway because they're good-looking, might as well get paid for it, right?"
Azam said that this was going on in good homes right under parents' noses: "The prettiest girls from the most successful families [are the most at risk]. We're not talking about marginalized girls. [Parents] don't want to know because they really don't know what to do. I mean, you might be prepared to learn that, at age 12, your daughter has had sex, but what are you supposed to do when your daughter has traded her virginity for $1,000 or a new bag?" ...........

How to erase the deficit in four years ... according to Andrew Coyne
Andrew Coyne has done a lot of homework with this piece in Macleans. My head started reeling trying to grasp how Coyne would have the Harper govt underspend and then overspend or perhaps it is first overspend and then control the spending or maybe it's first let the stimulus work a bit and then keep a steady increase or maybe it is stop spending so much altogether so we can erase the deficit by 2014 or maybe ... anyway I am sure all you math wizards will understand exactly what he means and how he thinks it should be done. I gave up after the first few paragraphs, I am not ashamed to say.
....Suppose we were to try to erase the deficit in four years, that is by fiscal 2014. The timetable seems reasonable, as that is the period over which the Parliamentary Budget Officer reckons the cyclical component of the deficit would have been retired by economic growth, leaving only the structural component, which he estimates at $19-billion. So to wipe that out without raising taxes, the government would need to cut about $20-billion out of spending — not from this year’s projected total of $273-billion, but from spending in 2014, projected to be $296-billion. (Where did I get that number from? See page 22 of the September fiscal update, where the government’s five-year spending track is laid out.)
For simplicity’s sake, assume there is nothing we can do about the government’s biggest single spending program, interest payments on the debt — forecast to explode from just under $31-billion this year to $42-billion in 2014. So that means we have to cut $20-billion out of $254-billion in program spending. The $234-billion target that implies is $8-billion less than we’re on track to spend this year. Sounds tough. But this year’s figure is inflated by the enormous surge in one-time spending rushed out the door in the name of stimulating the economy. A better comparison would be with last year’s total of $208-billion. The 12.5% increase in spending this implies between 2009 and 2014 is just slightly more than the combined increase in prices (6.1%) and population (5.3%) projected over the same period....
Aung San Suu Kyi to be freed in November
Let's hope this is not another promise which will not be kept by Burma's military overlords. Mass murderers are able to get away but an innocent woman has been made to live within the four walls of her house for close to 15 years.
Burma's military government may be planning to release pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi later this year, say reports from the country.
Burma's home minister reportedly said Ms Suu Kyi would be freed when her current period of house arrest expires, which is scheduled for November. Ms Suu Kyi's detention was extended last year, after a US man visited her house uninvited. Critics say the junta intends to detain her until after elections this year. Home Minister Maung Oo is reported to have made the comments about Ms Suu Kyi at a provincial town meeting four days ago.

Something's in the air ... literally
The UK Terror Alert has had a rippling effect. India has also gone on full alert and reports say that India's flights now have plain clothes detectives on them, regional and international. UK newspapers are reporting that "an unusually high number of people on their no fly list" are trying to get up there in the sky. The authorities in the countries hated by these loons should be on high alert and not have blinders on their eyes like they did re. the Fort Hood fiasco. By now everyone should know that the muslim nuts, mean what they say and then they carry out what they mean. It's their way of teaching us their language. Very effective and once learnt, never forgotten by the intelligent amongst us. Forget the lefties, they don't count.
via Matt Drudge: Two men were stopped boarding US-bound planes at Heathrow days before Britain's terror threat was raised to "severe".
News of the incidents came hours after Home Secretary Alan Johnson lifted the threat level amid fears that al-Qaeda is planning an attack. The new level, which means an attack is reckoned "highly likely", is second only to "critical".
Security sources say an Egyptian was stopped last Saturday as he tried to board an American Airlines flight to Miami. A man from Saudi Arabia was banned from boarding a United Airlines flight to Chicago the next day and sent back to Saudi.
The incidents and the raised threat level follow the failed Christmas Day bombing on a plane over Detroit. Anti-terror officials said the past week had seen an "unusually high" number of people on their no-fly list trying to board US-bound planes.........

Feed the cars, forget the starving millions in Africa
Go green. Be against the production of oil. Be against the oil sands. Root for the closing of drilling companies. Tell everyone that biofuels are the fuels of the future. Is there any doubt that the Left clamors for abortion to decrease population growth and that it clamors for grain to be used as fuel to starve the millions in Africa and send them to their premature death... again to control population ?
What a wonderful guise the Left operates under? You got to give it to them. And you thought those idiots from Hollywood who walk away with Oscars were professional thespians. Think again. Every leftie you meet is a class A actor. Their lips move with those cries of sorrow and wanting equality for all, but their motives are just the opposite. In 2009 alone, the grain used in the USA for making biofuels would have fed 330 million people for one year. Yes, you read that right. 330 million people for one year. Disgraceful agenda. And to think that Prez Bush was also involved in this. Shame.
I sincerely hope Canada is not into this kind of thing. That would sadden me big time.
One-quarter of all the maize and other grain crops grown in the US now ends up as biofuel in cars rather than being used to feed people, according to new analysis which suggests that the biofuel revolution launched by former President George Bush in 2007 is impacting on world food supplies.
The 2009 figures from the US Department of Agriculture shows ethanol production rising to record levels driven by farm subsidies and laws which require vehicles to use increasing amounts of biofuels.
"The grain grown to produce fuel in the US [in 2009] was enough to feed 330 million people for one year at average world consumption levels," said Lester Brown, the director of the Earth Policy Institute, a Washington thinktank that conducted the analysis.
Last year 107m tonnes of grain, mostly corn, was grown by US farmers to be blended with petrol. This was nearly twice as much as in 2007, when Bush challenged farmers to increase production by 500% by 2017 to save cut oil imports and reduce carbon emissions.......

Why we like Stockwell Day ...
or why we should like him and his notions. I hope he looks into each and every NGO operating in Canada or from Canada. Taxpayers' money is siphoned off by these NGOs like there is no tomorrow and spent on frivolous assignments that have no rhyme or reason. When our govt gives 11 Million Dollars annually to one of those NGOs, can you really call it an NGO? Yeah, I am referring to the NGO Rights and Democracy where a whole lot of mis-spending has been going on. Emphasis mine.
You can't say no to everything because then the economy would shutter to a stop. This is very much a team effort. Our entire caucus is focused on this approach. Everyone is going to have input. I use this analogy: the Finance Minister's budget begins to pump the water and the Treasury Board adjusts the taps, and sometimes redirects the flow to ensure we don't have a flood of resources going into directions that will lead to erosion....

The women, who may have a "non Arab" appearance and be travelling on Western passports, have been prepared for their missions by the Yemeni group responsible for the operation to blow up an airliner over the United States on Christmas Day.
Details of the bombers emerged just hours after British spy chiefs raised the UK threat state to "severe" amid fears that al-Qaeda was planning a wave of attacks against western targets.

Who is Ellie Light ?
She is probably a dark creature of the night and needs sunlight to be thrown on her. The wheels of the PR machine that brought Obama to the WH have seen their day and are now coming unhinged. About time! What follows is what investigative journalism should be all about, a thinking process that leads a journalist to fit pieces into a jigsaw puzzle and then show the work to the readers. My bets are on the HillBuzz guys, that they will solve the mystery of Ellie Light. Bloggers are turning out to be better journalists than those newspaper hacks and the MSM have ever proven to be.
On Thursday evening, The Plain Dealer's Sabrina Eaton reported on "Ellie Light," who'd had virtually identical letters to the editor published in newspapers around the country, with most of them claiming a different hometown in each paper's circulation area.........
And the HillBuzz guys say: We’re delighted some in the media are waking up to the fact that the current administration, and its army of astroturfing trolls, has been playing them like a harp from Hell.
“Ellie Light” has been posting pro-Utopia editorials in papers across the country, using a different address each time. What she says is cut and pasted over and over again, pursuant to the PR goals of the current White House.
This is trolling, people. It’s what we’ve been trying to draw your attention to. This is what David Axelrod’s public strategies firm specialized in. It’s what the DNC and White House are engaged in, with MSM support, 24/7.....

Are we going to stand idly by ....
while we see injustice been done to a Conservative blogger like Ezra Levant? Do something. Write to each and every Conservative MP. Every one of our lawmakers should be make aware of these nonsense suits which are filed by these muslim individuals and muslim organisations. You know the word for this kind of jihad, it is called "lawfare" and I had touched on it only a few days ago here. Below is a list of all the Conservatives in the House of Parliament who should work on our behalf but how will they know what matters to us if we do not let them know about it. Do you think the MSM will talk about Ezra Levant being targetted by these individuals and these organisations who want to silence this outspoken man?
If you are as pissed as I am after reading Levant's post here then please do the right thing. Send your email to the PM with a copy to everyone on the list below, send it in batches of 20-25 to ensure they don't end up in the spam folder. Remember to include a link to Levant's blog post where he has detailed the cause and effects of such "lawfare" as carried out by these jihadis on anyone they consider to be criticizing them.

Here's proof that our soldiers are mean, mean, mean - Part 7
Brig.-Gen. Daniel Menard is a career army officer having more than 25 years of experience in the war theatre around the world serving and striving to uphold Canadian values and goodwill whereever NATO deems it justiable to send us. Asked whether requests were ever made to water down critical reports, as Mr. Colvin said in his testimony to MPs on Wednesday, Brig.-Gen. Menard replied: "Never. This is not the way that we operate and certainly not the way we have been working at [Defence headquarters]. We just do not do things like that."
Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon said: "Canadian officials made nearly 200 visits to prisons in Kandahar and Kabul to ensure that prisoners were not being abused and spent $132-million to help the Afghan government on governance issues, including the treatment of prisoners."
Are we so stupid and blind as to believe these two guys. Do they think that we are completely brainless and stupid? Who cares that this Brig.Gen. is an upstanding man, a man that the powers-that-be in the USA have placed their trust in unquestioningly, to head a major part of their contingent in Kandahar?
Who cares that our FA Minister is giving us details of the intensive and extensive thoughts and processes Canada has put into place to safeguard the murderous Taliban when they are arrested by our troops? We should not believe a word they say. Why? Because Richard Colvin says so, that's why. Don't take my word for it, look at these pics and judge for yourselves the kind of meanness our soldiers are engaging in over there in that harsh country.
Gifts for the kids only get scowls in return and the kids run in all directions the momemt they see our Canadian guys and girls coming towards them.
A whole bunch of kids threatened with torture unless they grin from ear to ear and wave at the camera. Typical of our mean soldiers to treat these poor kids in this lousy fashion.
Same threat thrown at these poor little ones. See how they are doing their best to escape torture at the hands of our guys.
In this pic the locals are totally mad because our guys have just finished building a new well for the village. They have come to complain from upset stomachs after drinking pure clean water. See the villager with his hand holding his side, he says: "You Canadian monsters, you want to poison us with this crystal clear water. See, I think I have got cramps from drinking that poison."

UK Terror Threat level raised
UK has raised their terror threat level from today to severe.
The UK terror threat level is being raised from "substantial" to "severe", Home Secretary Alan Johnson has said.
The new alert level means a terrorist attack is considered "highly likely". It had stood at substantial since July.
It is in response to the perceived increased threat from international terrorism following the failed Detroit airliner bombing on Christmas Day. ...

What's an IED ? How do you defeat IEDs?
The other day I was lunching with a bunch of girlfriends and I happened to bring up the recent deaths of our soldiers and the reporter Lang, all of whom, I told them, were killed by IEDs. Not a single girlfriend at the table knew what an IED happened to be. Worse, they are so not aware of what is happening over there on the battleground and so blind to everything around them. Either I need to get myself a new batch of lunch buddies or give up going out on these junkets altogether. If you ask these bimbos about Brad Pitt and other brainless idiots from Hollywood they will be able to give you the minutest details of the kind of equipment they have in their pants and their sexual perversions, but ask them anything else and they are all round-eyed and hopelessly unaware of how dumb they are.
Here is the information I have sent to these girls and thought it good enough to make into this blog post.
An IED or improvised explosive device .is defined as a device placed or fabricated in an improvised manner incorporating destructive, lethal, noxious, pyrotechnic, or incendiary chemicals and designed to destroy, incapacitate, harass, or distract. It may incorporate military stores, but is normally devised from non-military components
"Miracle" plane up for sale
Miracles happens when you have a pilot who keeps his cool and makes the world's most perfect landing on a liquid runway.
If you got enough cash you might just be able to own a piece of aviation history. The Airbus 320 that landed miraculously in the Hudson back in 2009 is up for auction. ...
....The passengers who walked away from last year's Miracle on the Hudson will converge on New York next week to raise an anniversary toast at the site of the amazing splashdown.
Their drink of choice? Grey Goose, of course.
"It's the unofficial vodka of Flight 1549," joked Tracey Wolsko of Charlotte, N.C., who is organizing the reunion of passengers who were aboard the jet when it hit a flock of geese and went down. .....

Pretty sad news
The key word is "pretty".
via: Matt Drudge - Drudge ....When Air America Radio launched in April, 2004 with already-known personalities like Al Franken and then-unknown future stars like Rachel Maddow, it was the only full-time progressive voice in the mainstream broadcast media world. At a critical time in our nation’s history — when dissent on issues such as the Iraq war were often denounced as “un-American” — Air America and its talented team helped millions of Americans remember the importance of compelling discussion about the most pivotal events and decisions of our generation.
Through some 100 radio outlets nationwide, Air America helped build a new sense of purpose and determination among American progressives. With this revival, the progressive movement made major gains in the 2006 mid-term elections and, more recently, in the election of President Barack Obama and a strongly Democratic Congress.
Laws have changed for the better thanks to this revival…..but all the same our company cannot escape the laws of economics. So we intend a rapid, orderly closure over the next few days. All current employees will be paid through today, January 21. A severance package will be offered tomorrow to full-time current employees with more than six months of tenure.
We will strive to assist affiliates and partners in achieving a smooth transition. Starting at 6 pm EST today, we will provide our affiliates, listeners and users a selection of encore programming until 9 pm EST on Monday, January 25, at which time Air America programming will end.....

"I believe in racial and ethnic profiling" says US Sen. Inhofe
Common sense and straight talk is coming back. It is never too late to save ourselves and our culture from going to the dogs, literally.
h/t: Irene "I’m, for one - I know it’s not politically correct to say it - I believe in racial and ethnic profiling. I think if you’re looking at people getting on an airplane and you have X amount of resources to get into it, you get at the targets, and not my wife."

Here's proof that our soldiers are mean, mean, mean - Part 6
"Canada ... cloaked our detainee practices in extreme secrecy," Richard Colvin, a Washington-based intelligence officer, said in long-awaited testimony to a special parliamentary committee. "Our detainee practices (were) unCanadian, counterproductive and probably illegal."
"Instead of winning hearts and minds, we caused Kandaharis to fear foreigners," he said.
You know something, Richard Colvin is so right. He speaks the truth and nothing but the truth. The initials of his name R C probably stands for Roman Catholic and he must be a devout one at that. I for one... I believe this man and the pictures here will tell you how truthful he is when he says "Instead of winning hearts and minds, we caused Kandaharis to fear foreigners."
Look at the pic above. It is so apparently evident that after our soldiers delivered 560 brand new wheelchairs to the physically disabled Afghan citizens, many of whom had become so because of the attacks on them from the Taliban, they turned to our mean guys and said: "Our hearts and minds fear all of you Canadian monsters. Begone from our land and stop torturing us."
In this pic, an Afghan soldier translates to the villagers what our guy wants to convey. Our soldier is distributing newspapers and short-wave radios and showing the locals how to operate them if they suspect their village is going to be the target of those murderous Taliban. The villagers tell our guy: "Our hearts and minds fear all of you Canadian foreigners. Begone from our land and stop torturing us. We are waiting for our entire village to be killed by the Taliban saints. Being killed by saints gives us access to heaven."
And over here in this pic, our soldier with an Afghan colleague is visiting an elder's home where he is told: "Our hearts and minds fear all of you Canadian soldiers but you can have a cup of our Afghan strong tea and after that begone from our land. We remain in terror, shivering and quivering in your presence and the sooner you have your cuppa and leave the happier we will be. We want the Taliban our saviours to come to us again and that won't happen unless you are gone."
Oh oh... what's happening here? An Afghan family has invited one of our guys to inaugurate the opening of their shop? No, no.... that simply cannot be. Remember what Richard Colvin said, he said: "Instead of winning hearts and minds, we caused Kandaharis to fear foreigners." So, I would think the translation of this pic should be along these lines: The people of Afghanistan fear Canadian soldiers and do their very best to keep them away from their homes, their businesses and their lives."

Here's proof that our soldiers are mean, mean, mean - Part 5
Former Chief of Defence, General Rick Hillier came to the defense of our mean, mean, mean soldiers when he stated that most detainees were taken after attacks and only after they were found to have physical evidence ... such as explosive residue ... on them.
"We detained under violent actions, people trying to kill our sons and daughters," he said. "We didn't base our work on things like reports written in May or June 2006, which said nothing about abuse, nothing about torture or anything else that would have caught my attention or indeed the attention of others."
But, are we stupid to believe this patriotic man? Of course not!! Check out these pics and you will draw the same conclusion that I have, that our soldiers are mean and sadistic and should be brought home and court martialed. I care little that some of them have been blown to smithereens by the Taliban, let their own family if they had any mourn for their loss, it's no skin off my nose that they were over there fighting on our behalf. So, on behalf of the allegedly tortured Taliban who are God's gift to this planet, we should all demand of our government that our mean soldiers be all court martialed without delay.
In the pic above, this mean soldier is using that "squeeze palm" torture on a little girl who was being introduced to him by her brother. Sad situation.
And here in this pic, this little girl is offering a fruit to our guy in exchange for not committing some war crime on her and her father.
Alert, alert!! Child labor. Major war crime being committed here.
In the pic below our soldier is using the "torture by squeezing palm to a pulp" technique on this brick layer.

What a great deal on cellphones. Plus you get 90 lashes free
Only in the madhouse known as Saudi Arabia. You know, that country that has so many millionaires, you throw a stone anywhere there and it is sure to hit a rich man. Teeming with petro dollars and no brains. The ruler of said same place that made Obama bow almost to the ground.
Who was the commentor in one of my blogs who said "Saudi has high education"? Yeah right!!! If this is what education does to the human brain, we might as well burn every book and close all learning institutions.
via Matt Drudge A 13 year old girl has been sentenced to 90 lashes and two months prison in Saudi Arabia after she took a mobile phone to school.
A court ordered the girl to be flogged in front of her classmates following an assault on the school principal, according to the Saudi daily newspaper Al-Watan.....

Guess who was first to arrive in Haiti
I wish it had been Canada. However, kudos to Israel once again to be at the top of everything. The first rescue plane to land after the devastation in Haiti was an Israeli one. Israel has been at the forefront from day one. Their "fully trained and ready" teams set up a field hospital which was mobilized and ready within record time in the business of saving lives. Video
Scott Brown's victory speech
Part 3 of the speech shows clearly that the guy is fiercely against terrorism and does not mince words about the enemy. He makes it very, very clear. No more dancing around the politically correct terms, not with this man.

Here's proof that our soldiers are mean, mean, mean - Part 4
Liberal MP John McCallum has thrown doubt on the good our soldiers are doing in Afghanistan and accused them, on national TV no less, of war crimes. His exact words were : "......and the fact that they may have been committing war crimes, handing over detainees knowing that they were very likely to be tortured, that is a war crime."
Hmmmmmmmmm .... you know something? He is probably right. Look at these pics and judge for yourself if this does not prove that our guys and gals are committing untold harm to the Afghans? Love can be disastrous, just in case you didn't know.
In this pic our soldier is committing a kind of torture called "tickling to death". In this particular kind of torture, the native kids are made to tickle the soldiers until they die of exhaustion.
Tsk, Tsk, Tsk ... this is not good. This soldier is tasting the little kiddo before he sprinkles some salt and pepper on it and starts munching.

And can you believe this? Here this guy is teaching the new generation the comradeship sign of a "high five". Oh Lordy..Lordy. These war crimes need to be punished.
Great rescue story from Haiti
Even after 6 days this spunky woman was found alive and well. There is definitely hope for others who might still be trapped in the pancaked buildings. This woman's story brings hope to relatives who are missing their loved ones, to be found alive.

Who are the actual bidders for Canwest newspaper chains ??
We must know the facts. Especially after reading what happened at FoxTV, we the Canadian citizens have a right to know who will be the ultimate buyer(s) of the segments that Canwest has put up for sale. Let's not be blind like the Britishers who have sold chains over chains of their media to the Saudi oil millionaires and whose editors are now enslaved to the Middle East's point of view and whose editorial pages and staff are of muslim origin with a muslim agenda.
Some of you with the legal know-how will need to keep your eyes on what Canwest proposes to do if they get bids from Canadian registered companies who in turn will get questionable money to buy Canwest property. This situation with Canwest is not a good thing, all around. Will Canwest do a thorough investigation to check the backgrounds of the individual(s) or the groups making the bids?
In the first link above, NP reports that:
Monday, a group led by former senator Jerry Grafstein went public with its interest in bidding for certain portions of Canwest Ltd. Partnership (LP), specifically, The Gazette in Montreal, The Ottawa Citizen and the National Post, which comprise the core assets of the chain in Eastern Canada.
What is known about Jerry Grafstein and his group? Do any of the bidders have Saudi connections? It is for you the more influential and the more informative readers to find out and make public anything of an adverse nature that you find about these bidders. I am just an armchair blogger, very insignificant, almost non-existent and without the means to investigate further than the info found on the net.
This whole deal with Canwest makes me very uneasy.
Back in 2005 Saudi Prince bin Talal admitted to getting FOX News to change their coverage of the Muslim riots in France.Do we as Canadians want our media to be sold to the Saudis? That would be the start of the end for this country. The worst form of islamisation comes from there and their dirty money is polluting every nook and corner of the world.
Covering the riots in Paris last November, Fox ran a banner saying: “Muslim riots.” Bin Talal was not happy. “I picked up the phone and called Murdoch… (and told him) these are not Muslim riots, these are riots out of poverty,” he said. “Within 30 minutes, the title was changed from Muslim riots to civil riots.”
Now the so called Prince is looking to get even more cozy with Murdoch and Co. Will anything good come out of this for us? I doubt it.

Rush Limbaugh never said "don't donate to Haiti" ...
and anyone implying such rubbish is a total dumbo. Rush explains how the vultures wait with their ugly necks and brainless heads to pick on things that they deliberately misunderstand.
..... Now, this disaster in Haiti is worse than anything that ever happened in New Orleans. It's just an absolute disaster. The aid finally starting to trickle in now after about six days, but it's still very, very slow. The situation on the ground is unimaginable. I don't even want to describe to you the things that I have read with the vermin, the rats, I don't even want to go there. This is just unbelievable. It's unimaginable and for anybody to report that I said don't donate is absurd, and these people know it. The people who are making a big deal out of this, are themselves politicizing this for the express purpose of discrediting me, somebody they feel is a top-line conservative spokesman
They are constantly trying to discredit people like me, rather than debate us on issues. Nobody here ever said don't donate. We just pointed out you already contribute to the government with your income taxes. If you want to donate above and beyond that, go through a charity that's constantly on the ground in Haiti, or the Red Cross, if you want to go that route or whatever. Nobody said do not donate, which is what is being reported. I've had so many e-mails over the weekend: "Rush, the press is castigating you unfairly. You know what you ought to do Rush? You ought to donate a million-dollars, make it public or you ought to ask all the liberal media to ask what they individually have donated and then promise to double it. It would probably cost you 20 bucks." That was the funniest one I've seen..... read the whole thing
Here's proof that our soldiers are mean, mean, mean - Part 3
Hey listen up. Would you trust the military police? They are as much a bunch of meanies as our soldiers and anything they say should be treated as a big fat LIE. This entity is useless on the war front and nothing they say or do should be taken seriously. If you thought you could take their word that our troops did not mistreat any prisoners, think again. Look at these pictures. See for yourself what our mean guys and gals have been doing over there in Afghanistan. Have you ever seen a more terrifying batch of monsters?
Ah what's this? In the pic below one of the village elders throws a pillow at our guy and say: " You want to torture us, fine. First take this cushion for your butt because we know you will be sitting here torturing the hell out of us for a long time you Canadian monster you."
Can you believe this? This poor kid has been tortured endlessly to display bigger and bigger bubble gum blows. He is desperately seeking the help of the leftists in Canada to save him from this hell.
And what do we have here! A soldier who thinks he has Travolta's mincing moves from Saturday Night Live is torturing this little kiddo to keep up with the tempo of his gyrations. Mean, mean Travolta type guy.
All pics in this post as well as in Part 1 and 2 and the ones to come after are thanks to my pals PamB, BarryH and Irene and also to Outside the Wire blogspot and to the archives of The Canadian Military Defence, Flickr and the image sections of various search engines.
In this pic, look at this monster who thinks he is Adonis. He has tortured these sweet little girls so much that it is feared they will never recover from their ordeal. See their cries of pain and agony, written all over their pretty little faces. Oh, why oh why are our guys so bad!

What is going on in Haiti ? Who IS in charge?
Riots and total disruption is the order of the day. Hospital intact just outside of the city is still waiting for injured patients to arrive. Where are the injured? Doctors are waiting anxiously to look after the suffering and none are showing up. What is going on? In other news it looks like the UN doctors and nurses have been told to evacuate on security fears. So, who and what is going to look after the dead, the dying and the injured? What a hopeless situation for these traumatized helpless people.
Cops themselves are believed to be either rampaging alongwith the looters or shooting them. The UN food warehouses have been completely looted. Some reports say that, in order to bring some sort of semblance to the chaos, the USA has taken over the airport. The port has been rendered useless due to the quake.
Chaos and fear reigned on the streets of the capital Port-au-Prince on Sunday, as many were still waiting for food, water and medicine five days after the disaster decimated the area. Police opened fire on a group of looters, killing at least one of them, as hundreds of rioters ransacked a supermarket.

Polls show Scott Brown in the lead.....way ahead
h/t: Irene
Intrade show that he has a 10 pt lead If this Kennedy seat goes to Brown, it's going to send shivers down the spine of each and every democrat. Bad tidings for the progressives. Sad... NOT!

Chile throws out 20 years of Leftism
Wow!! This is a great victory for an otherwise mostly leftist Latin America.
Conservative billionaire Sebastian Pinera won Chile's presidential election on Sunday, ending two decades of center-left rule in Latin America's most stable economy and the world's top copper producer. read further

Here's proof that our soldiers are mean, mean, mean - Part 2
Well, what can I say. These pictures clearly show us that the Liberal big guy is right in thinking our guys and gals dying in a foreign land are not conducting themselves in a fashion beholden to the Taliban murderers. The Leftish side of Canada and the Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff wants to: ....shed light on such crucial matters .......as whether Canada has respected international law and human rights, the conduct of our troops in the field
Oh Nooo! See how this soldier is torturing the new generation of Afghans to root for the Calgary Flames.
Oh Oh!!! See the bottom pic. Not good, not good at all. This huge hulk of a soldier is practicing a new form of torture unique with Canadian soldiers. It's call "squeezing palms to a pulp when shaking hands with the natives". That's not a smile you see on the kid, its a grimace of pure agony. In the West, that's how we smile. Over there in that land at the other side of the world, that's how they cry.

Yikes! Here's proof positive that our gals are also involved in torture. See in this pic these two soldiers are threatening the Afghan kiddies with dire torture if they don't accept those school bags in which to carry their books.
