More on Warlord Obama legacy

From James Corbett Report
Obama’s legacy is measured in ashes.
From wars of aggression to a police state on steroids, banking bailouts and Obamacare, Obama has been the perfect captain to carry the New World Order football further down the field. But as Americans prepare for a new liner to be placed in their gilded bird cage, today we remember how the Deep State tricked the public in 2008 by giving them what they thought they wanted.

On the "Russian Connection" and Trump and USA's perpetual wars

Worth a read.
Pic below is from the article.

Prof John McMurtry at GlobalResearch
Trump’s “Russia Connection”, Behind America’s Perpetual Wars
Why the Enemy Structures US Identity

The enemy in one form or another drives the US – the gun culture on the streets, the rich behind  weapon-guarded enclaves, the pervasive violence entertainments of good vs. evil killers, the never-ending destabilizations of societies not submitting to US military and corporate globalization, and the hundreds of billions of public dollars pouring into continuous armed threats and wars.

The US capital-E Enemy is whatever exists in the world that stands against the ‘full spectrum dominance’ of the US in the world – the bi-partisan objective made explicit in the iconic Project for a New American Century.

But incoming President Trump has gone to the other side, and so becomes the enemy to the establishment. He has rejected globalizing “free trade deals” led by NAFTA as “disastrous”, saying to Canada, “congratulations, you now have your independence” (an idea that terrifies the branch-plant  CEO’s and their politicos and media now in power).

He has consistently intimated an “obsolete” NATO, the global military front of the US empire marching East through Ukraine to Russia’s borders (which are now standing against the next US-led looting of the greatest natural resource treasures of the world). In the backdrop lies official Canada morphed into a new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chrystia Freeland of Ukrainian  descent, who like the US supports the 2015 neo-Nazi-led coup against Ukraine’s elected government to force US-EU access to the breadbasket of Eurasia and new fossil-fuel riches formerly prohibited from fracking – all of this publicly unspeakable fact in Canada and US corporate media today.

Trump’s Russia connection has put him on the enemy side again, although the reasons why will never be made public in the official cultures of the corporate media and NATO states.

In the last days before his inauguration, Trump has not buckled fought back hard on the truly fake news backed by the CIA-led spy apparatus of ‘US intelligence’ and by his enemies in power. We read only of how ‘reckless’ and ‘irresponsible’ Trump is for ‘insulting the intelligence community’: in fact the lead agents of the US dark state long implicated in every state-terrorist interference with democratic process across the world, including the assassination of JFK......

In the last days before his entry into the White House, this CIA-CNN-McCain-led set-up of Trump has induced a feeding frenzy of the media to de-legitimate him – now all but declared guilty of treason as well as dupery by Putin and sexual perversion, any of which is usually fatal to a US politician........

Continuing with what's being said about Warlord Obama's Legacy ... Obama’s Bombing Legacy

Nicholas JS Davies at ConsortiumNews
Obama’s Bombing Legacy

As President Obama leaves office, much of his foreign policy record remains shrouded in the symbolism that has been the hallmark of his presidency. The persistence of Obama’s image as a reluctant war-maker and a Nobel Peace Prize winner has allowed Donald Trump and his cabinet nominees to claim that Obama has underfunded the military and been less than aggressive in his use of U.S. military power.

Nothing could be further from the truth, and their claims are clearly designed only to justify even more extravagant military spending and more aggressive threats and uses of force than those perpetrated under Mr. Obama’s “disguised, quiet, media-free” war policy.

The reality is that Obama has increased U.S. military spending beyond the post-World War II record set by President George W. Bush. Now that Obama has signed the military budget for FY2017, the final record is that Obama has spent an average of $653.6 billion per year, outstripping Bush by an average of $18.7 billion per year (in 2016 dollars).

In historical terms, after adjusting for inflation, Obama’s military spending has been 56 percent higher than Clinton’s, 16 percent higher than Reagan’s, and 42 percent more than the U.S. Cold War average, when it was justified by a military competition with a real peer competitor in the Soviet Union.  By contrast, Russia now spends one-tenth of what we are pouring into military forces, weapon-building and war.

What all this money has paid for has been the polar opposite of what most of Obama’s supporters thought they were voting for in 2008. Behind the iconic image of a hip, sophisticated celebrity-in-chief with strong roots in modern urban culture, lies a calculated contrast between image and reality that has stretched our country’s neoliberal experiment in “managed democracy” farther than ever before and set us up for the previously unthinkable “post-truth” presidency of Donald Trump.....

Obama’s Model
Obama’s doctrine of covert and proxy war was modeled on the Phoenix Program in Vietnam in the 1960s and 1970s and Ronald Reagan’s proxy wars in Central America in the 1980s. It involved a massive expansion of U.S. special operations forces, now deployed to 138 different countries, compared with only 60 when Obama took office....

Still more on Warlord Obama and the adverse effects of his presidency on our world .... Obama’s Legacy of War, Repression and Inequality

A few pointers from the article are below.

Joseph Kishore at Global Research
Obama’s Legacy of War, Repression and Inequality

1. Unending war

Obama is the first president in American history to serve two full terms in office with the nation at war. This includes the continued bloodletting in Afghanistan and Iraq, the bombing of Libya, the six-year-long war for regime change in Syria, and support for the Saudi-led destruction of Yemen. A recent survey reported that in 2016, US Special Operations forces were deployed in 138 nations, or 70 percent of the countries of the world.

The “wars of the 21st century,” begun under Bush and expanded under Obama, have killed more than a million people and driven millions more from their homes, producing the worst refugee disaster since the Second World War. Obama’s “pivot to Asia” has inflamed tensions from the South China Sea to India and Pakistan. The current president will leave the White House as NATO troops deploy to Eastern Europe in the midst of an anti-Russia war hysteria stoked by the media and the Democratic Party.

Obama is the “drone” president, supervising the killing of some 3,000 people in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia and Libya by means of unmanned aerial vehicles, along with several thousand more in Iraq and Afghanistan...

2. Democratic rights

At least three of the individuals killed in drone strikes were US citizens. The declaration of the Obama administration in 2011 that the president has the authority to assassinate anyone, including US citizens, without due process sums up the attitude of the former constitutional law professor to basic democratic precepts.....

More on the legacy of Warlord Obama, the Nobel Prize Winner ...The Obama Legacy: “Dying Democracy”, Extrajudicial Assassinations, Wars, Terrorism, Refugee Crisis…

Below a few items from the long list at article.

Rev Richard Skaff
The Obama Legacy: “Dying Democracy”, Extrajudicial Assassinations, Wars, Terrorism, Refugee Crisis…

The following list will constitute some but not all of Mr. Obama’s accomplishments, and as a result, the reader will be the judge of his legacy.

1. U.S. interventions to influence elections in multiple foreign countries extending from Russia to Africa and from Asia to the Middle-East.3

2. Regime changes in several countries through American financed color revolutions and covert hybrid wars.4

3. Assassination of foreign leaders and American citizens.6

4. Increase of the national debt by trillions of dollars to finance low intensity wars, feed the beast of the Military Industrial Complex, and bail out Wall Street and the banks.

5. Failure of Obamacare that was written by the insurance companies and their lobbyists.

6. Creation of a new housing bubble.

7. Formation of a stock market bubble.7

8. Production of low wage jobs, while stagnating and lowering the existing American salaries, resulting in utter decline in the standards of living.8

9. Expansion of the government oligarchy, and the establishment of Czars ”R” US.2

10. Expansion of law enforcement agencies and the surveillance state under the guise of safety.

11. Fomenting fake news, then, signing on December 24th, 2016 the Countering Disinformation and Propaganda Act as part of the annual National Defense Authorization Act, which is an unconstitutional measure against First Amendment freedom.1

12. Aiding and facilitating the killing of hundreds of thousands of people across the globe through covert operations, regime change, and weapons sales.

13. Displacement of millions of people across the world after destabilizing their nations (e.g. Syria, Libya, Iraq, Ukraine, etc).....

Warlord Obama's legacy .... Obama’s Farewell Address: Touting the Legacy, Exposing the Truth. Non Stop Wars, A Costly Six Trillion Dollar Legacy

Great article with a myriad of links.  Below a few snippets.

Joachim Hagopian at GlobalResearch
Obama’s Farewell Address: Touting the Legacy, Exposing the Truth. Non Stop Wars, A Costly Six Trillion Dollar Legacy

Honesty is not an Obama Virtue
Obama wasted no time uttering his trademark lies. In his third sentence he stated that his “conversations” with the American people “are what have kept me honest.” Honest? Are you kidding? This guy’s the most deceitful pathological lying president in US history. Two of his biggest whoppers out of the gate numbering in the thousands will go down in infamy:.....

...As a case in point of his legacy, earlier this week on the same day of Obama’s speech, three bombs blasted three separate cities in Afghanistan killing 50 and wounding 100 Afghan citizens. All these bloodbaths in the Middle East and North Africa stand as a glaring and disastrous outcome to the US façade of “bringing democracy” and “nation-building” to the world - 4 million dead Muslims later. In actuality the ruling elite’s systematic plan is to misuse the US Empire and NATO to militarize and destabilize the entire planet, then misuse millions of war refugees to destroy Western nations by inciting religious, race and class wars utilizing its always effective divide and conquer strategy, all for the nefarious purpose of creating a one world government tyranny. And as the destroyer of America, the CIA bred and groomed puppet, followed his marching orders to the T....

....Obama says when trust in government is low (and it is, presently only 19%  of Americans trust their government):

We should reduce the corrosive influence of money in our politics, and insist on the principles of transparency and ethics in public service.

Yet it was Barack’s Supreme Court that gave license for the wealthiest to buy off politicians through unlimited legal bribery. Obama did not lift a finger to oppose it. Again hypocrisy runneth over when the least transparent and perhaps most corrupt and unethical president in US history calls for virtues he so sorely lacks....

....Returning to Obama’s lie that “poverty is falling again,” unfortunately the pathological liar is oh so wrong. Poverty in America has risen from 11% in 2000 up to 15%of Americans in 2014. As mentioned earlier, blacks under Obama are suffering the most with 26.2% of African Americans living in poverty. But near 1 in 4 (23.6%) Hispanic Americans are also poverty-stricken. 10.1% of whites fall under the poverty level. The South and California are the worst hit areas although the largest drops in middle class were in West Virginia, Michigan and Indiana. Just to make ends meet, more Americans are working two or three jobs than ever before.....

....In his farewell speech Obama dared to sneak in a plug for his abominable Obamacare, at the end of his braggadocio repeating the boldface lie that 20 million more Americans are benefiting from his “right to health insurance,” the same right that gives you no right to opt for no insurance without incurring increasing fines for refusing to buy his corrupt brand of snake oil that has rates obscenely skyrocketing by 24% this year on average. Obama’s fuzzy math must be referring to those same 20 million new immigrants he allowed into the country complete with insurance entitlement. In any event, even Obama’s main claim to fame – that the least number of Americans in history are uninsured – is bound to start rising again with his now Unaffordable Care Act. Yet despite this reality, Obama insists that “health care costs are rising at the slowest rate in fifty years.” The man’s delusional. His boldface lie glosses over the truth that in August last year alone healthcare costs rose higher than at any time prior to 1984.....

Obama, damned if he does, damned if he doesn't AKA Veto or not to veto the Sue Saudi Arabia Bill

Here's my take on this "pretend" Resolution which we all know will be vetoed:
When the Bill is vetoed by his warlordship, Americans, at least those that are not glued to reality TV and Kadashian's boobs, will perhaps ask themselves why their overlords would kill this Resolution when to all appearances KSA-sponsored Al Qaeda terrorists were responsible for the greatest atrocity of all time on American soil.

They will also perhaps puzzle over the veto and draw conclusions that would further embed the notion that the 9/11 attack was indeed a false flag operation masterminded by the US govt itself or in partnership with  USA's favorite ally, Israel. Reason: To commence wars of aggression in the Mid East countries.  Vetoing the Bill will tell Americans (the thinking ones anyway) that their government is afraid that Saudi Arabia will spill the beans on what really went on, on that fateful day.  Americans will come to the realization, albeit very slowly and painfully, that if the Bill had been allowed to pass into law, there would have been consequences ... the TRUTH of 9/11 would be made a lot less foggier, courtesy the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

So there you have it.  Obama is damned if he lets the Bill pass into law and he and his legacy is even more damned  if he vetoes it.
All in all, I am loving it!

From FreeThoughtProject
BREAKING: Bill Passes House Allowing Citizens to Sue Saudi Arabia for 9/11
— But It’s a Cruel Hoax
The U.S. House of Representatives, following the lead of the Senate, has passed a bill allowing Americans to sue Saudi Arabia over 9/11 only days before the attack’s 15th anniversary. The measure passed unanimously, without objection or opposition, but President Obama has promised to veto the bill.

House Resolution 3815, also known as the “Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act” or JASTA, creates an exception to sovereign immunity created by a 1976 law, which currently prohibits U.S. citizens from suing foreign countries for terrorism that kills Americans on U.S. soil. The unanimous vote in the House gives the Republican-dominated legislature the ability to override a promised veto from the White House....

From Breitbart
President Barack Obama intends to veto bipartisan legislation
that would allow the families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia, according to the White House.

“So the President feels quite strongly about this. And our concern is not limited to the impact it could have on a relationship with one country, but rather it could have an impact on our relationship with every country around the world in a way that has negative consequences for the United States, for our national security, and for our men and women in uniform,” noted White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest on Monday.

“That is still the plan. The President does intend to veto this legislation,” responded Earnest when asked if Obama still planned to veto the bill....

From FreeBeacon
Gulf States Condemn Bill Permitting 9/11 Families to Sue Saudi Arabia

A group of Persian Gulf states denounced legislation passed by the U.S. Congress last week that would allow the families of Sept. 11 victims to sue the Saudi Arabian government over its alleged links to terrorism.

The head of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council, Abdullatif al-Zayani, said in a statement Monday that the bill stands “contrary to the foundations and principles of relations between states and the principle of sovereign immunity enjoyed by states,” Reuters reported.

Qatar and the United Arab Emirates also publicly condemned the legislation. UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said in a statement that the law would negatively impact international efforts to combat terrorism.

The House unanimously passed the bill on Friday, roughly four months after the Senate approved the legislation in May. Congressional leaders called the legislation a “moral imperative.”

Republican and Democratic lawmakers along with a number of 9/11 families have implicated Saudi Arabia in the Sept. 11 attacks given that 15 of the 19 terrorists who participated were Saudi....

American Drone Operators' description of children they drone: “fun-size terrorists”

Also, they liken killing children to “cutting the grass before it grows too long,”

Hmmm... where have I heard similar expressions?  Where in the Middle East is that kind of thinking ("mowing lawns every couple of years") a government approved policy?  Hmmm ... it will come to me perhaps a little later.  Being a dodo, I am slow on the uptake.

Murtaza Hussain writing at TheIntercept:
Former Drone Operators Say They Were “Horrified” By Cruelty of Assassination Program
U.S. DRONE OPERATORS are inflicting heavy civilian casualties and have developed an institutional culture callous to the death of children and other innocents, four former operators said at a press briefing today in New York.

The killings, part of the Obama administration’s targeted assassination program, are aiding terrorist recruitment and thus undermining the program’s goal of eliminating such fighters, the veterans added. Drone operators refer to children as “fun-size terrorists” and liken killing them to “cutting the grass before it grows too long,” said one of the operators, Michael Haas, a former senior airman in the Air Force. Haas also described widespread drug and alcohol abuse, further stating that some operators had flown missions while impaired.

In addition to Haas, the operators are former Air Force Staff Sgt. Brandon Bryant along with former senior airmen Cian Westmoreland and Stephen Lewis. The men have conducted kill missions in many of the major theaters of the post-9/11 war on terror, including Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan............

Some of the drone operators who seem to have found their long lost conscience have come forward to relate their experiences. Below is vid showing a small part of the explosive exposure.  Go to link below to see the entire show:

From Console to Trigger: How Pentagon "Exploits" Video Game Culture to Wire Youth for War
Among the issues tackled in the new documentary film "Drone" is the connection between video games and military recruitment. We air a clip from the film and speak to its director, Tonje Hessen Schei, as well as drone war whistleblower Brandon Bryant. "I think gamers should be offended that the military and the government are using [video games] to manipulate and recruit," Bryant says. "We’re more interconnected now than at any time in human history — and that’s being exploited to help people kill one another."......

America MUST be sued for trillions of dollars by the surviving citizens of Yemen

Looking a few years in the future, I can see millions of Yeminis filing criminal lawsuits at The Hague against the United States of America for the crimes done to them by the USA via the KSA and the KSA coalition. Each and every surviving Yemeni should demand that amends be made a 100-fold.  I hope vengeance will be theirs.

Nahal Toosi writing at Politico:
Obama officials at odds   over Saudi airstrikes.
As civilian casualties mount in Yemen, some worry the U.S. is abetting war crimes.

Saudi Arabia’s airstrikes in Yemen, conducted with U.S. assistance,
are alleged to have killed at least 1,500 civilians, dividing members of the Obama administration over whether the U.S. risks being accused of abetting war crimes in a bombing campaign that could ultimately strengthen Islamist militants.

Sources inside the administration say they are struggling to keep in check
the opposing sides in Yemen, one of the clearest examples of the intensifying Saudi-Iran proxy war in the Middle East. But even as reports of civilian suffering and terrorist gains pile up, U.S. officials believe that reducing American support for the Saudis could make the situation even worse.

The White House does not want to anger Saudi Arabia, a vital, oil-rich ally already unhappy with President Barack Obama’s decision to pursue a nuclear deal with Iran. At the same time, what many hoped would be a short Saudi-led campaign against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels who overthrew Yemen’s government is now entering its eighth month with no end in sight.

“The White House is increasingly frustrated with the Saudis, and they’re trying to figure out how to handle it,” said one foreign policy expert familiar with the administration’s deliberations. Private conversations seem to be having limited effect, the source said, but "the U.S. is walking on such eggshells around Saudi when it comes to the public domain that they’re not willing to ramp up their public pressure."

That hesitation appears to be deepening internal rifts in the administration. A former U.S. official said the divisions are between administration members who fear “this humanitarian toll is ultimately going to be a stain on our reputation and we’re going to end up holding the blame.......

If the EU leaders are so dumb they fail to understand what's happening ....

then take it for granted that Pegida-like groups will spring up in all corners of Europe.

I can fully understand the fear of the Pegida spokeswoman in the vid below. This is what happens when governments take action on issues which don't have the approval of the population at large. If you think similar stuff can't happen in North America, think again.

The Muslim invasion is not going hand-in-hand with EU culture.  Sad that the EU leaders don't see what she sees and therein lies the bloody upheaval we are doomed to witness in the near future.

All this is unfolding only because the same dumb EU leaders let Obama twist them into little pieces of putty and forced them to support USA's disastrous foreign policy in the Middle East  viz the changing of the leadership in Syria for the  benefit of Saudi Arabia, Israel and Qatar so the gas and oil pipelines could run through a new Syria - a Sunni stronghold and a clone of Saudi Arabia.  EU is a full partner with the USA, KSA, Qatar, Israel and others for the conflicts in Syria and Libya and fully deserves what's happening to it now.  Karma is a bitch.

In one fell swoop USA expected to please their clients in the Middle East and help Israel get rid of Assad which it has been panting to do for years. The  quarter of a million+ people losing their lives in the conflict has no bearing on what the Empire wants, no bearing whatsoever.

The millions of  refugees now invading EU are not just from Syria.  The citizens of other Sunni Muslim countries have seen their chance to get out of their hellholes and move to better grounds.  Only hitch is that, as most of us know by now, once Muslims land in the West they start changing it to reflect the hellholes they have ran away from.  **sigh**

Map of Europe's Refugee Crisis

Where are the refugees coming from and where are they going?  Are they all genuine refugees?  Are they all running away from wars?

No matter how we look at this situation, the end result is crystal clear.  Europe is finished, that's very clear to see.  It's downhill from now on for Europe.

See for yourselves what wars can do not only to your own present state of security but to your future and the future of your family and all your descendants....and all because you chose to side with countries not your own (Israel, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia) and because you refrained from criticizing your government and getting it to move away from the disastrous stance it was taking ... in fact you encouraged your govt to bomb, bomb, bomb away ... didn't you.

If USA had not initiated coups, civil wars and unrest in far away countries on behalf of their "client states" what we see today would have not come about. These are the consequences of narrow and short-sighted foreign policy makers who will never be brought to justice for their horrendous crimes inflicted on the citizens of the now broken countries of Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc.

If Canadians and Americans are feeling snug and relieved that the refugees won't find their way here, at least not in hundreds of thousands, all I can say is "HAH!".  They are coming and along with them is coming the fierce, aggressive, intolerance of anything non-Muslim.  Bet all of you clamoring to drop bombs on Assad, Gadhafi, Saddam Hussein and the mountains of Afghanistan are now happy and singing merry songs to your hearts' content.

From BusinessInsider:
This map shows   the routes of Europe's refugee nightmare — and how it's getting worse
More than 150,000 refugees entered the European Union in August, increasing the total to more than half a million for the year, the European Union border agency announced.

Though the number of refugees entering Europe had steadily increased over the past 10 months, European leaders were slow to respond, leading to what the EU migration commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos called the worst refugee crisis facing Europe since World War II.
Where the refugees are coming from — and where they're going.......

Foreign Policy boondoggles of the USA

Bibi-bots will tell you that there's no such thing as an Israel Lobby in the USA.  No politicians are bought and sold by any such lobby ... no sireee!  It's all your horrid imagination and your anti-Semitism that's playing tricks on you.  "Begone, you vile creature" they will say because they never look into their own mirrors.

From ConsortiumNews:
Israel Lobby Stops Iran’s Help on Syria
Despite the worsening Mideast crisis, President Obama can’t escape the tight policy constraints imposed by neocon thinking. The obvious move to work with Iran to save Syria from an Islamic State or Al Qaeda victory is blocked by the influence of the Israel lobby, writes Gareth Porter for Middle East Eye.

By Gareth Porter
By the logic of geopolitics, the United States and Iran ought to be cooperating to contain and weaken the Islamic State (also known as ISIS, ISIL or Daesh). Both countries have declared that the group is a very serious threat to their own security and to the security of the entire Middle East.

Indeed, it has become evident to all – besides those who are determined for their own reasons not to see it – that the Islamic State’s intent on setting up an Islamic caliphate has the potential to dissolve the basic international order that has governed the Middle East for a century. So the logic of Iran-U.S. strategic cooperation against Daesh (as the group is referred to in Arabic) is no less compelling than was the logic of the Nixon administration in reaching an understanding with Maoist China to counter-balance their common Soviet adversary.

But that logical development isn’t happening, contrary to the fears of some and hopes of others, and it isn’t likely to happen any time soon, despite the nuclear agreement and the Obama administration’s success in beating back the unprecedented campaign by the Israel lobby to defeat it. The reason is that it is not the logic of geopolitics, in the end, that is governing the problem.

It isn’t the Iranian side of the equation that is failing to follow the geopolitical logic. Contrary to the constantly reiterated propaganda theme of the anti-Iran forces in the region and in the United States that Iran’s ruling elite simply wants “death to America,” Iran has publicly signaled to the Obama administration repeatedly that it was open to such cooperation. But the Obama administration has refused to reciprocate, for the simple reason that it is not capable of formulating a regional policy on the basis of an objective analysis of strategic interests.

To understand the why the international politics of the Middle East are now so profoundly dysfunctional, one must begin ......................

USA's cavemen ally KSA's war on the poorest nation in the Middle East

Almost all the weapons, including the cluster bombs used by Saudi Arabia and the Sunni nations bombing their "brothers" in Yemen are made in the USA and in the countries of USA's bosom pals.  Why is the Western media largely silent about the ongoing death and destruction in Yemen? That's the burning question asked in the vid below.

Iona Craig writing at TheIntercept
Yemen’s Hidden War:    How the Saudi-Led Coalition Is Killing Civilians
IN THE ISLAMIC CONCEPT of qadar, your divine destiny is inescapable. If you try to cheat death it will find you. For two women on a dusty road in mid-June on the southwest corner of the Arabian Peninsula, their repeated attempts to dodge fate ended in tragic failure.

Leaving the war zone of Yemen’s southern port city of Aden on June 10, the women headed north in a Toyota Cressida driven by a male relative. The pair were escaping the violence that had already turned entire streets in Aden to rubble, left hundreds dead and thousands of civilians under siege, struggling to find food, water and medical care....

.......In March, the Saudis — aided by U.S. and British weapons and intelligence — began a bombing campaign in an attempt to push back the Houthis, who they see as a proxy for Iran. Since then, from the northern province of Saada to the capital Sanaa, from the central cities of Taiz and Ibb to the narrow streets at the heart of Aden, scores of airstrikes have hit densely populated areas, factories, schools, civilian infrastructure and even a camp for displaced people.

From visiting some 20 sites of airstrikes and interviews with more than a dozen witnesses, survivors and relatives of those killed in eight of these strikes in southern Yemen, this reporter discovered evidence of a pattern of Saudi-coalition airstrikes that show indiscriminate bombing of civilians and rescuers, adding further weight to claims made by human rights organizations that some Saudi-led strikes may amount to war crimes and raising vital questions over the U.S. and Britain’s role in Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen..........

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ....

Someone please pick me up from the floor where I have collapsed in a fit of uncontrolled hilarity.

Never an end to Obama's blunders while dangling on a string obeying the neo-cons to sure and certain doom in the Middle East.
How many of the neo-con gangsters have made untold $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$s in the last few years? I am betting each and every last one of them.
Follow the money to understand why the USA's 1%  is "excited" about wars in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine and parts of Africa.
Blood and gore makes their day.... the more there is, the more money they make.

From ABCNews
Many US-Trained Rebels  Fighting ISIS in Syria Unaccounted For
Many of the Syrian rebels trained by the United States to fight ISIS are unaccounted for in the northern part of the country and some have been found in Turkey, a U.S. official said Thursday.

News about the uncertainty of their whereabouts came a week after the rebels were attacked by 50 fighters from the rival al-Nusra Front, a rebel group affiliated with al Qaeda. At least one of the U.S.-trained rebels was killed and others were wounded before the attack was repelled by U.S. airstrikes. .......

From GuardianUK
US-trained Syrian rebels  refuse to fight al-Qaida group after kidnappings

Division 30, which has endured a campaign of kidnappings by the Nusra Front, also opposes American air strikes carried out against al-Qaida-linked fighters

A group of Syrian rebels that includes fighters trained by the United States have declared their refusal to fight al-Qaida’s affiliate in the country, the Nusra Front, following a series of kidnappings by the militant group.

A source in Division 30, which has endured a campaign of kidnappings by the Nusra Front, said they also oppose the American air strikes carried out in the last few days against the al-Qaida-linked fighters.

The statements complicate the American strategy in Syria, which has suffered a string of setbacks and delays, deploying just over 50 fighters dedicated to fighting the terror group Islamic State in the year since its programme to train and equip rebels began. ........

From MintPress
The US Spends $4M To Train One Syrian Rebel:
What Else Could That Buy?
The U.S. government continues to spend billions funding foreign wars and destabilizing the Middle East while America struggles to make ends meet domestically.

A U.S. government official recently revealed the shocking ineffectiveness of millions spent on U.S. plans to train Syrian rebels, while in the United States inequality worsens, national infrastructure crumbles, major cities like Detroit suffer from economic collapse, and student debt and inequality continue to careen out of control.

Last year, the U.S. budgeted $500 million to train Syrian rebels opposed to the rise of so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Officials hoped the money would train thousands of new fighters in an ongoing civil war that’s already devastated the civilian population. Austin Wright, writing in a report published by Politico last weekend, quoted an anonymous congressional aide on the progress of the program: “About half of the $500 million has been obligated thus far, mostly on equipment required to train the Syrian fighters.” According to the same aid, approximately 60 fighters have been trained to date — a figure that falls far short of the program’s goals.

“How much has the United States spent to train that whopping force of 60 Syrian rebels to take on the Islamic State?” asked Wright. “Well, according to basic math, about $4 million for each of them.”

The millions in aid to Syrian rebels are just a small portion of the billions the U.S. government spends on military aid to foreign governments every year while making deeper cuts to social safety nets back home.

For example, the U.S. expanded its aid to Saudi Arabia in March, and those funds are being used to support human rights abuses both inside the country and in a months-long bombing campaign that’s caused a humanitarian crisis in Yemen. And the U.S. will spend about $3.1 billion on Israel this year to support the country’s illegal occupation of Palestine and war crimes like deliberately targeting civilians............

How many "special unit" individuals from UK, USA and Canada are operating in Syria masquerading as ISIS with one goal in mind ... "get rid of Assad" ????

I strongly suspect there are at least a few hundred of them.

First watch the video below which is from early 2011 at the time of the Libyan fiasco and several months before Gadhafi was sodomized and murdered in October 2011.  Listen carefully to what analyst Stephen Lendman has to say about what he thinks is happening in Libya/will happen in Libya and who and what is responsible for the mayhem likely to ensue.  Was he proven right or not?  After that you proceed to read his latest analysis below the video which was published a couple of days ago.  You might think that this is all bullshit and the guy must be into conspiracy theories, but a few months from now you will think otherwise.

From GlobalResearch:
British SAS Special Forces “Dressed Up as ISIS Rebels”  Fighting Assad in Syria

On August 2, Britain’s Sunday Express newspaper headlined “SAS dress as ISIS fighters in undercover war on jihadis,” saying:

“More than 120 members belonging to the elite regiment are currently in the war-torn country” covertly “dressed in black and flying ISIS flags,” engaged in what’s called Operation Shader – attacking Syrian targets on the pretext of combatting ISIS.

Maybe covert US special forces and CIA elements are involved the same way. During Obama’s war on Libya, Britain deployed hundreds of Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) paratroopers – drawn from SAS (Special Air Service) and SBS (Special Boat Service) personnel.

Around 800 Royal Marines and 4,000 US counterparts were on standby to intervene on short notice if ordered.

The latest revelation comes two weeks after learning Prime Minister David Cameron last year approved British warplanes joining US ones in bombing Syria despite parliamentary rejection in August 2013.

At least part of its current covert ground operation is under US command – so-called “smash” units traveling in pickup trucks able to launch mini-UAVs to scan terrain for targets to attack.

Over 250 UK (and perhaps US) specialists are involved to provide communications support, the Sunday Express explained.

British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said “(o)ur actions and surveillance capabilities are freeing up other countries to strike in Syria.”

UK SAS forces are in Saudi Arabia training anti-Assad terrorists along with US operatives doing the same thing – including in Turkey, Jordan, Qatar and perhaps Israel.

US and UK claims about training so-called “moderate” rebels reflect smoke-screen cover for working directly with ISIS terrorists – trained, armed and funded abroad, funneled cross-border into Syria to fight Assad, now with US/UK and Canadian air support along with covert commandos on the ground.

The Express cited former British Army General David Richards saying “tanks will roll” as part of UK operations in Syria.

A separate article discussed US airstrikes defending ISIS terrorists ........

So, what exactly is going on between Wahhabi Saudi Arabia and the poorest Arab country in the Middle East?

Good informative read if you care to learn a teeny-weeny bit of the jigsaw puzzle that is the disaster created by Saudi Arabia and its pals.

What's Going on along the Saudi-Yemeni Border?
Divergent Saudi and Houthi reports on fighting along the Yemen-Saudi Arabia border give rise to an opaque understanding of what is actually going on.

July 24 marked the fifth consecutive day that Saudi sources confirmed cross-border incidents in the country’s southern border provinces. On that day, not only were clashes reported at the al-Tuwal border crossing, but the landing of projectiles occurred in both the Jazan and Najran Provinces. Similar incidents were reported from July 20-23, including another attack at the al-Tuwal crossing that was reportedly thwarted on July 22.

Five days in a row of such cross-border attacks certainly represents an uptick of violence, particularly given the more severe nature of some of the incidents. This may be attributed to an interest by Houthi and pro-Saleh forces in presenting a show of strength amid substantial losses in Aden and reports of continued advances by anti-Houthi forces in the Lahij Governorate.

That being said, cross-border incidents appear to be relatively routine in the border area, even if one takes into account the drastically different pictures presented by opposing sides.

The majority of the incidents reported about in Saudi media, including social media sources that claim to be based in these southern areas, occur quite near the border area. Dhahran al-Janub, for example, which saw material damage result from shelling on July 21 is less than 15 kilometers from the border with Yemen. There are some projectiles that cause casualties and/or material damage, usually when they hit population centers, while others (many) land in underpopulated areas or open spaces. Reports indicate that “dozens” of civilians and military personnel have been killed in such incidents, but in the context of the apparent frequency of cross-border fire and length of the conflict, this is a relatively low number.

On the other hand, Houthi-affiliated media like Al-Masirah TV issues multiple claims each day regarding the successful targeting of southern Saudi Arabia. While largely involving the firing of mortars and rockets, this has also included videos allegedly depicting the entrance of fighters into Saudi territory near the border. Some clearly corresponds to those reported by Saudi sources, while others remain uncorroborated.

Iran, for its part, reiterates many of or similar claims. ........
