Irma is now expected to make a landfall in Florida, unless by some miracle it veers sideways away from that State.

Wondering about the deafening silence from America's MSM on the Orlando shooting?

It's glaringly obvious to anyone with even the lowest possible IQ that what happened at the gay club in Orlando DID NOT go down as the government's lapdog MSM have been trying to push down our throats.  The liars in the government, by not making the events of those terrible 3/4 hours as transparent as possible, are encouraging folks to entertain every kind of government-involved conspiracy.  I, for one, don't blame those folks.  When  people can't find a logical match to the sequence of  various statements made on the event by officials, the MSM, the few witnesses or wanna-be-Hollywooders  and  the time-line, our mind can conjure up all kind of scenarios.  There are several weirdos out there with YouTube videos and blogs, who state with firm conviction that nobody got killed, everything was a hoax,etc.etc.   No, my dear head-in-the-sand folks ... innocent people did die.  But, they were not killed in the manner we are told they were killed and neither were all killed by the lone Muslim shooter.  There's a lot more to the story and perhaps one day some journalists worth  their salt will pull themselves out of the gluey matrix, investigate this sorry affair and bring the truth to the people, the truth being that in the aftermath of the carnage, the Muslim brainwashed jihadi's victims were probably less than half a dozen (most at the initial stages of the siege) and the rest of the dead and injured were from the bullets of the robotic SWAT team heavily armed  with weapons of mass destruction sans a dime's worth of brain matter in their skulls.

Why is the LGBT community sitting silent on this injustice by the MSM in false reportage of the horrendous event?  I don't get it.

FBI Transcript Shows Nobody Died in Orlando Shooting Until
SWAT Teams Entered the Building: Judge Napolitano

What should have been front page news everywhere, somehow got buried amid the official narrative we were given about the Orlando shooting.

Judge Andrew Napolitano told FOX News that an FBI transcript indicated that no one died until 05:13am Sunday morning when the police SWAT teams entered the building.

“Here’s what is news in the summary – nobody died until 05:13 in the morning, when the SWAT team entered. Prior to that no one had been killed. The 53 that were injured, and the 49 that were murdered all met their fates at the time of, and during, the police entry into the building,” Judge Napolitano said.
Consider that the narrative we have been given was that Omar Mateen entered the club around 02:00am on Sunday morning to begin his killing spree, so why was no one actually killed until 05:13am, over three hours later?

Relations between Ankara and Damascus have improved in recent secret talks, as both sides are showing willingness for dialogue, Turkish mediator Ismail Hakki Pekin told Sputnik Turkey.

The governments of Syria and Turkey are engaging in dialogue and both sides are showing a willingness to negotiate their differences, the Turkish military's former intelligence chief Ismail Hakki Pekin told Sputnik Turkey.

According to a recent report by Algerian newspaper Al Watan, there has been contact between the two governments mediated by the Algerian government.

Pekin is the leader of a delegation from Turkey's Vatan party, whose members regularly visit Syria. He said that he has also been mediating between the two governments, and noticed a change in both sides after his most recent visit.

"We have been systematically working to normalize relations between Turkey and Syria for a long time, and came up with an initiative to provide the necessary basis for dialogue between the Turkish and Syrian leadership," he explained.

"In my last trip, I noticed a softening from the Syrian side, and a similar tendency in representatives of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, when I told them about the outcome of our delegation's visit. The Foreign Ministry as a whole received my information favorably. They used to reject everything out of hand." ....

Orlando: The New 9/11?

Last week America was rocked by the cold-blooded murder of 49 people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Unlike the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the Orlando shooter appears to be a lone gunman who, while claiming allegiance to ISIS, was not actually working with a terrorist group. About the only thing Orlando has in common with 9/11 is the way power-hungry politicians and federal officials wasted no time using it to justify expanding government and restricting liberty.

Immediately following the shooting, we began to hear renewed calls for increased government surveillance of Muslims, including spying on Muslim religious services. Although the Orlando shooter was born in the US, some are using the shooting to renew the debate over Muslim immigration. While the government certainly should prevent terrorists from entering the country, singling out individuals for government surveillance and other violations of their rights because of religious faith violates the First Amendment and establishes a dangerous precedent that will be used against other groups. In addition, scapegoating all Muslims because of the act of one deranged individual strengthens groups like ISIS by making it appear that the US government is at war with Islam.

The Orlando shooting is being used to justify mass surveillance and warrantless wiretapping. For the past three years, the House of Representatives passed an amendment to the Defense Department appropriations bill limiting mass surveillance. But, last week, the same amendment was voted down. The only difference between this year’s debate and previous debates was that this year defenders of the surveillance state were able to claim that the Orlando shooting justifies shredding the Fourth Amendment.....

Suicide Bomber Disguised as Priest Kills Three at Christian Massacre Memorial in Syria

A suicide bomber disguised as a priest killed three people at an event commemorating the massacre of Christians more than a century ago in Qamishli, Syria. The assailant is believed to have targeted the head of the Syriac Orthodox Church, Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II.

According to Al Arabiya, the attack took place as locals gathered at a hall to commemorate the deaths of tens of thousands of Christians by the Ottoman army starting in 1915 in what is known as the Sayfo ("Sword") massacre. Patriarch Ignatius presided over the event, which was also attended by His Grace Mar Afram Athneil of the Assyrian Church of the East.

The suicide bomber, disguised as a priest, reportedly detonated his bomb when he was questioned by Sutoro security officials at a checkpoint outside a hall, killing himself and three guards, and wounding five others....

One evening in the late 1960s (I was then in high school), my father and I were watching television. The local station announced that, later that week, it would show the winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture of 1947, Gentleman’s Agreement.

My father and I awaited the film with anticipation. After all, we equated “Best Picture” Oscars with superior entertainment—films like All about Eve, On the Waterfront, Lawrence of Arabia, and A Man for All Seasons.

James Howell was arrested the same day of the PULSE nightclub shooting. Howell was caught with several rifles and bomb materials.

Howell, who’s testimony was published on getoffthebs.com, was leaked by a former prosecutor in Los Angeles. Two police officers from Santa Monica, who remain unnamed brought the evidence to the media company’s publishers last week. The testimony revealed James Howell was part of a larger plot of terror around the United States. Howell claimed to be part of an operation which Mateen was also included, and at least 3 other terrorists. One named Brandy, who Howell says was part of the Florida cell. Another named Dan, who James Howell was supposed to meet in California and a fifth member who was the 3rd member of the FL cell whom Howell knew of –  but did not know by name.

Commentary: Brexit creates EU-Britain nightmare for the Caribbean

The 12 English-speaking independent countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) have at the most two years to formulate a plan for dealing with the serious consequences of the British Exit (Brexit) from the European Union (EU).
Indeed, the time may be less if the current mood of the leadership of the EU intensifies. They want Britain gone “as soon as possible”. The presidents of the European council, commission and parliament – Donald Tusk, Jean-Claude Juncker and Martin Schulz respectively – and Mark Rutte, the prime minister of the Netherlands, which holds the EU’s rotating presidency, are reported as saying any delay to Britain’s exit would “unnecessarily prolong uncertainty”.

Once Britain finally leaves, the 12 Caribbean countries will have no structured trade relationship with that country. When Britain joined what was then the European Economic Community in 1973, it transferred all authority for its trade agreements to the Community. Ever since then, the formal trade, aid and investment relations between the 12 Caribbean countries has been with EU. These relations were formalised successively in the Lome Convention, the Cotonou Agreement and the Economic Partnership Agreement.

Key to the terms under which the English-speaking Caribbean countries entered – and continued – the relationship with the EU was Britain, their former colonial ruler.

At least five people were stabbed in a riot that broke out at the state Capitol Sunday between more than 150 anarchists and “anti-fascist” protestors and about 25 neo-Nazis who had gotten permission to rally on the west steps, police said.

A disturbing set of images purportedly show a pile of dead bomb-sniffing dogs that were put down after their contract with a security company was cancelled.
In June 2016, a series of photographs purportedly showing dozens of dead bomb-sniffing dogs circulated on social media, along with the claim that the animals were killed by Eastern Securities after their contract with the Kuwait National Petroleum Company was cancelled:

Eastern Securities or E Sec was awarded a contract with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) to provide explosive detection dogs for their oil rigs. When KNPC canceled the contract with Eastern Securities, they were left with 140+ dogs that no longer had a job and were costing them money to feed and house them. Instead of being responsible with the working dogs and finding them homes, Eastern Securities chose the most cost-effective way of dealing with the unemployed working dogs, euthanasia. It is unknown at this time exactly how the dogs were killed or even if the remaining 90 are still alive.

The Age plums the depths of stupefying Russophobia with an opinion piece titled "Donald Trump-Vladimir Putin: Russia's information war meets the US election." His message is, basically, next time you encounter a pesky social media troll, know that you have crossed swords with one of Vladimir Putin's troopers in the information war against the West.

Zappone presents a confused, jumbled mess of "facts" cobbled together and slapped onto paper. A bit like taking a mud pie and just chucking it, hoping some will stick. And let's face it, when it comes to gaining credibility and sombre faced approval on analysis of Russia's evil doings, Zappone doesn't have a very high standard to reach. A bit like randomly throwing mud pies, so too with "investigative journalism" on Russia; no matter how ludicrous, insane or uproariously hilarious, if it's anti-Russia it flies.

Now if this was just a bit of harmless fun, banter being thrown back and forth with protagonists in good humour trying to outdo each other in banality and hyperbole, then no harm would be done. But unfortunately, this endless, 'anything goes' Russophobia has consequences in softening up Western publics to accept sanctions and other anti-Russian measures and, ominously, to prepare us to accept the unacceptable; a possible war with Russia. Zappone and his ilk may deny such intent or even ridicule the suggestion, but the consequences of successful propaganda are real and tangible.

The article is a slovenly piece of worship of the establishment elites that control and neo-liberal crony capitalism which has crippled our societies. The rest of us, whether we are from the left, right, spiraling in the conspiracy ether, or located anywhere else on the political spectrum have no business in offering opinions on or alternatives to our socio-political order.

Do we really want a war with Russia?

War with Russia appears increasingly likely as the US and its NATO satraps continue their military provocations of Moscow.

As dangers mount, our foolish politicians should all be forced to read, and then re-read, Prof. Christopher Clark’s magisterial book, ‘The Sleepwalkers: How Europe Went to War in 1914.’ What is past increasingly appears prologue.

Prof. Clark carefully details how small cabals of anti-German senior officials in France, Britain and Russia engineered World War I, a dire conflict that was unnecessary, idiotic, and illogical. Germany and Austria-Hungary of course share some the blame, but to a much lesser degree than the bellicose French, Serbs, Russians and British.

We are seeing the same process at work today. The war party in Washington, backed by the military-industrial complex, the tame media, and the neocons, are agitating hard for war.

US and NATO combat forces are being sent to Russia’s western borders in Ukraine, the Baltic and Black Sea. NATO is arming, financing ($40 billion so far) and supplying Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. Prominent Americans are calling for the US to attack Russian forces in Syria. US warships are off Russia’s coasts in the Black Sea, Baltic and Pacific. NATO air forces are probing Russia’s western air borders.

Some of this is great power shadow boxing, trying to cow insubordinate Russia into accepting Washington’s orders. But much appears to be the work of the hard right and neocons in the US and Europe in spite of the desire of most Americans and Europeans to avoid armed conflict with Russia.

Hence the daily barrage of anti-Russian, anti-Putin invective in the US media and ....

The killer was supposedly born and bred in the USA and yet he went by his religious teachings, one of which is explicit about killing homosexuals.
Sad that at least one of the gays was not carrying.  Might have saved some lives.

Gunman Claiming Allegiance to ISIS Kills 50 at Orlando Nightclub

A gunman who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State killed 50 people and wounded 53 in a crowded gay nightclub here early Sunday. The gunman, identified as Omar Mateen, had been investigated twice by the F.B.I. for possible connections to terrorism, the bureau said, but no ties could be confirmed.

Mr. Mateen, 29, an American citizen whose parents were from Afghanistan, called 911 and talked about the Islamic State shortly before the massacre at the Pulse nightclub, the worst mass shooting in American history, Ronald Hopper, an assistant agent in charge of the F.B.I.’s Tampa Division, said at a news conference. Other federal officials said more explicitly that he had declared allegiance to the group.

“The F.B.I. first became aware of him in 2013 when he made inflammatory comments to co-workers alleging possible terrorist ties,” but could not find any incriminating evidence, Agent Hopper said.

In 2014, the bureau investigated Mr. Mateen again, for possible ties to Moner Mohammad Abusalha, an American who grew up in Florida but went to Syria to fight for an extremist group and detonated a suicide bomb. Agent Hopper said the bureau concluded that the contact between the two men had been minimal, and that Mr. Mateen “did not constitute a substantive threat at that time.”

The suspicions did not prevent Mr. Mateen, who lived in Fort Pierce, Fla., from working as a security guard, or from buying guns. The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Mr. Mateen legally bought a long gun and a pistol in the last week or two, though it was not clear whether those were the weapons used in the assault.....

The ex-wife of the 29-year-old man who is believed to have killed 50 people in an Orlando nightclub early Sunday said that he was violent and mentally unstable and beat her repeatedly while they were married.
The ex-wife said she met Omar Mateen online about eight years ago and decided to move to Florida and marry him.
At first, the marriage was normal, she said, but then he became abusive.
 
“He was not a stable person,” said the ex-wife, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because she feared for her safety in the wake of the mass shooting. “He beat me. He would just come home and start beating me up because the laundry wasn’t finished or something like that.”...

I see many tweets from Israeli hawks on Twitter  trying to compare Gazans dead to the bigger numbers dead in Syria in just so many days, and stating that only anti-Semitism is the cause for the outcry against Israel. It's comparing apples to oranges, but when have Israel's supporters stopped to think twice? Do they ever look in the mirror and wonder why there are just as many critics of  Israeli policies as there are of Islam's disgusting norms and deeds?  

The thing to remember is that the Syrian govt is battling jihadis who place car bombs in crowded places and drive trucks laden with bombs into not only military bases but also market areas. The civilian deaths in Syria are more to do with jihadis battling it out with each other than to do only with Assad.  Moreover, in Gaza, the blasted Israeli govt. is blasting away at Gazans who are restricted to a tiny little area and not to areas like in Syria which are a 100 times larger than Gaza ... the most tiniest battlegrounds of Syria would be at least 50 times the size of Gaza.  To learn more about the Syrian situation, which is far more complex than the genocidal massacre going on in Gaza, Joshua Landis blog often has good coverage.

The all-American al Qaeda suicide bomber  

Seconds before he detonated the massive truck bomb that killed him and a number of Syrian soldiers two months ago, Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha radioed other fighters in al Qaeda to say, "I see paradise and I can smell paradise."
That in itself may not be unusual. But what should focus our attention is the identity of the bomber -- he was an American.

The son of a Palestinian father and an Italian-American mother, Abu-Salha grew up in Vero Beach, Florida, where he played high school football.
Abu-Salha, who was 22, is the first American suicide bomber known to have died in Syria.
On Monday, an al Qaeda-affiliated group in Syria released a half-hour videotape in which Abu-Salha explained his rationale for the impending suicide mission.
The video is an important window into the worldview of a Western recruit to al Qaeda drawn to the Syrian civil war, which is now in it fourth year. And the video also helps illuminate the recruitment techniques that the group has used to draw Westerners to the conflict, estimated to now number around 2,000.

n the video, Abu-Salha is shown tearing up his American passport and then the passport is set on fire. Next he is shown wearing a green camouflage vest and holding an AK-47 rifle delivering a diatribe to the camera directly.
Speaking in a strong American accent, Abu-Salha explicitly appeals to fellow militants in the States and the United Kingdom, saying that coming to fight with al Qaeda was so simple that he arrived in Syria "with only $20 in my pocket." Abu-Salha explained that "Allah made it easy for me" as he traveled from the States to Turkey and from there crossed over into neighboring Syria.............

Why do pilot whales beach themselves?

Scientists are unable to pinpoint the reason why.  Some think that  pilot whales move in close-knit family groups and when one of the family members become beached by accident or intentionally,  the others don't leave the beached member and that results in almost the entire pilot family dying for the sake of one from their group.

With 10 whales already dead, rescuers hope to coax the remaining pilot whales back into deeper waters.
Thirty-five of the 51 pilot whales stranded off Everglades National Park began a slow return to deeper waters Thursday afternoon, giving scientists new hope in a grim situation.

Rescuers from agencies including the National Park Service and the Coast Guard positioned their boats to corral the whales and used sound vibrations from aluminum pipes to drive them away from the shore, said Blair Mase, coordinator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's marine mammal stranding network.
Using these "gentle herding" techniques, scientists were able to get the 35 whales into 18-foot-deep water about 6 miles offshore. Happy with the progress, most of the rescuers returned to shore midafternoon Thursday.
"We are cautiously optimistic," Mase said. "Even though we are hopeful, this situation can go either way."
Of the 51 whales initially discovered stranded at Highland Beach on Tuesday morning, 11 are dead. Five that have not been located may have died and sunk to the ocean floor, she said.
Pilot whales usually swim in waters 1,000 feet deep about 15 miles offshore, but Mase said she would be satisfied once the whales moved into water 100 feet deep. If they stay on their path Friday, officials will call off the rescue mission, she said...........

FBI kills person linked to Boston terrorists

Good job !   Saves the taxpayers millions and there's the added satisfaction of having denied those miserable lawyers clamoring to defend jihadists and terrorists with the kind of   vigor you don't see from them when they deal with cases that won't get their names in the news.

An FBI agent shot and killed   an Orlando man early Wednesday who had been questioned for several hours about his alleged ties to Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the victim's friend told local media.

NBC News, quoting unidentified sources, said the FBI agent shot and killed 27-year-old Ibragim Todashev when the victim allegedly started to attack him while he was being questioned.

ABC News quoted an unidentified law enforcement officer as saying that the FBI agent had felt threatened.

"There was some sort of aggressive movement that led the FBI agent to believe he was under threat and he opened fire," the law enforcement official told ABC News.

FBI officials have confirmed that a man died while one of its agents was "conducting official duties," the Orlando Sentinel reports, but would not elaborate.....

And in other news ... a woman touching a manatee is arrested.

If  I didn't know it was a crime,  I would have done the same.  Oh, those brave police!  How diligent they all are when it comes to arresting certain kind of "criminals" compared to another kind that really needs to be put away !

Florida police arrested a woman Saturday who had been photographed riding a manatee – a violation of the state’s Manatee Sanctuary Act, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Ana Gloria Garcia Gutierrez, 53, was arrested at the Sears store where she worked. She came forward in October to admit that she was the woman in the photographs, wearing a white cap, red shorts and a black bikini top as she tried to climb atop a manatee in Fort De Soto Park in Pinellas, Fla.

Garcia Gutierrez told authorities that she was new to the area and didn’t know that touching a manatee – also known as a sea cow – was against the law.....

The disease of  irrational behaviour and intense insanity has seeped into the new culture of the new world we live in.  Even those who are supposed to serve and protect us are badly inflicted with it.

....Jensen was still shaken     and visibly emotional as he retold what happened last Thursday evening. He said being tasered by police has not only impacted him, but it also impacted his children, who saw it all happen. 
He described the Pinellas Park Police officers actions as "brutal." He said they showed "no compassion."
"All I remember is laying in water, being electrocuted for saving my home," said Jensen.
Four days later, burns on Daniel Jensen's body still mark where the stun gun's probes hit him. He says they tasered him for doing what any father and husband would do protect his family's home from an out-of-control grease fire.
The 42-year-old father of two recalls his wife waking him around 6 in the evening, saying there's a big fire at his neighbor's house.
"I could hear it, I could feel it," he explained. 
He ran outside and grabbed a fire extinguisher. He sprayed it until it was empty.
"I was calling for my daughter and getting no response. I came out, grabbed the hose and sprayed her room until I heard she was out. I was always taught to help when you can; help is what I tried to do," said Jensen.
He continued to recount the events. He said he then took the garden hose and started watering down his fence and the back corner of his rooftop, trying to prevent the fire from spreading to his property. But with each attempt, Daniel said Pinellas Park Police kept pulling him back... even though firefighters were not in sight.
"They kept telling me, 'Let it go, that's what insurance is for.' That's not acceptable to me," said Jensen....

Mysterious packages at embassies in Australia: Bomb squad officers were called to the French and Israeli embassies in Canberra on Monday following the discovery of suspicious packages, police said.

Police said a bomb response team had been dispatched to the French diplomatic post in Yarralumla to deal with a "suspicious package"..............

Death and mayhem on a Florida highway: A long line of cars and trucks collided one after another early Sunday on a dark Florida highway so shrouded in haze and smoke that drivers were virtually blinded. At least 10 people were killed. Visibility was so poor that when rescuers first arrived, they could only listen for screams and moans to locate victims, police said. At least 18 people were hurt. Authorities were still trying to determine what caused the pileup south of Gainesville on Interstate 75, which had been closed for a time because of the mixture of fog and heavy smoke from a brush fire that may have been intentionally set. At least five cars and six tractor-trailers were involved, and some burst into flame.......

Florida schools prep for the coming Shariah

Lefty teachers in schools, lefty professors in universities .... the new generation is done for. 

Kelly Miliziano, who teaches history classes at Steinbrenner High School in the Tampa, Florida area apparently thinks it’s perfectly OK to invite a senior official of a HAMAS-affiliated organization into her classroom to discuss Islam with her students. According to local media reports, not only has this been going on for years, but in spite of the civil and criminal proceedings that could result from such reckless negligence, the Hillsborough County school superintendant, Mary Ellen Elia, and the chairman of the school board, Candy Olson, also expressed approval for students under their responsibility to be exposed repeatedly to guest speaker, Hassan Shibly, who is the Executive Director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in the Tampa area.

And why is CAIR a problem? CAIR is an Islamic organization that was listed by the Department of Justice (DoJ) as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) HAMAS terror funding trial more than three years ago. According to the DoJ evidence submitted in that trial, CAIR was irrefragably demonstrated to be an element of the HAMAS Palestine Committee in the U.S. HAMAS, of course, is the Palestinian off-shoot of the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza and a U.S.-government-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. Therefore, it is readily appreciated that CAIR is actually HAMAS doing business in the U.S. under another name. Based on that evidence as well as the unanimous guilty verdict for the HLF defendants in the 2008 trial, the FBI severed all ties with CAIR the following year.....
