Berkeley, California is a hot bed of the coming Civil War USA 2017

This vid is from 4 months ago and shows Berkeley's pro-Trump and anti-Trump Americans coming to blows.  There are ongoing protests on almost a weekly basis in that part of California.  Think back to protests and marches like happened in Ukraine and Syria and you don't have to be a genius or a Nostradamus to predict what is bound to happen in the USA, very, very soon.

The vid below is from a few days ago.  I don't know about you, but to my eyes, the so called Antifa or anti-fascists come across just like the Ukrainian Nazis did during that uprising. So, who are the Nazis now??

News, views and opinions from the Alternative Media ... Week ending June 26

Jonathan Marshall at ConsortiumNews
The recent call by 51 dissenting State Department officials  for U.S. military escalation in Syria is merely one of dozens of similar demands by neoconservatives and anguished liberals who accuse President Obama of moral failure for not dictating peace in Syria at the end of a gun.

At almost the same time as the dissent went public, in fact, the hawkish Center for New American Security issued similar recommendations under the auspices of Michele Flournoy, Hillary Clinton’s likely pick for Secretary of Defense. Its report called for more “arming and training” of anti-government rebels, launching of “limited military strikes” against the Assad regime, and eliminating “artificial manpower limitations” on military missions in the country...

....Our experience in Syria itself should have made the same lesson clear. President Obama ordered the Pentagon to spend $500 million to “train-and-equip” anti-regime “moderates.” The program graduated all of 54 recruits, most of whom were promptly kidnapped by the local Al Qaeda affiliate, Jabhat al-Nusra (possibly at the instigation of Turkey). Similarly, U.S. arms for “moderate” rebels have consistently fallen into the hands of al-Nusra....

Is Turkey seeing the light?
Reports of secret talks with Syria
Relations between Ankara and Damascus have improved in recent secret talks, as both sides are showing willingness for dialogue, Turkish mediator Ismail Hakki Pekin told Sputnik Turkey.

The governments of Syria and Turkey are engaging in dialogue and both sides are showing a willingness to negotiate their differences, the Turkish military's former intelligence chief Ismail Hakki Pekin told Sputnik Turkey.

According to a recent report by Algerian newspaper Al Watan, there has been contact between the two governments mediated by the Algerian government.

Pekin is the leader of a delegation from Turkey's Vatan party, whose members regularly visit Syria. He said that he has also been mediating between the two governments, and noticed a change in both sides after his most recent visit.

"We have been systematically working to normalize relations between Turkey and Syria for a long time, and came up with an initiative to provide the necessary basis for dialogue between the Turkish and Syrian leadership," he explained.

"In my last trip, I noticed a softening from the Syrian side, and a similar tendency in representatives of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, when I told them about the outcome of our delegation's visit. The Foreign Ministry as a whole received my information favorably. They used to reject everything out of hand." ....

Before the bodies were removed from the Pulse nightclub
in Orlando last week, Democrats began eagerly exploiting that atrocity to demand a new, secret “terrorist watchlist”: something that was once the domestic centerpiece of the Bush/Cheney war-on-terror mentality. Led by their propaganda outlet, Center for American Progress (CAP), Democrats now want to empower the Justice Department — without any judicial adjudication — to unilaterally bar citizens who have not been charged with (let alone convicted of) any crime from purchasing guns.

Worse than the measure itself is the rancid rhetoric they are using. To justify this new list, Democrats, in unison, are actually arguing that the U.S. government must constrain people whom they are now calling “potential terrorists.” Just spend a moment pondering how creepy and Orwellian that phrase is in the context of government designations....

Before Omar Mateen Committed Mass Murder, the FBI Tried To Lure Him Into a Terror Plot
New revelations raise questions about the FBI’s role in shaping Mateen’s lethal mindset.

Before Omar Mateen gunned down 49 patrons of the LGBTQ Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, the FBI attempted to induce his participation in a terror plot. Sheriff Ken Mascara of Florida’s St. Lucie County told the Vero Beach Press Journal that after Mateen threatened a courthouse deputy in 2013 by claiming he could order Al Qaeda operatives to kill his family, the FBI dispatched an informant to "lure Omar into some kind of act and Omar did not bite."

While self-styled terror experts and former counter-terror officials have criticized the FBI for failing to stop Mateen before he committed a massacre, the new revelation raises the question of whether the FBI played a role in pushing Mateen towards an act of lethal violence. ...

Orlando: The New 9/11?

Last week America was rocked by the cold-blooded murder of 49 people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Unlike the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the Orlando shooter appears to be a lone gunman who, while claiming allegiance to ISIS, was not actually working with a terrorist group. About the only thing Orlando has in common with 9/11 is the way power-hungry politicians and federal officials wasted no time using it to justify expanding government and restricting liberty.

Immediately following the shooting, we began to hear renewed calls for increased government surveillance of Muslims, including spying on Muslim religious services. Although the Orlando shooter was born in the US, some are using the shooting to renew the debate over Muslim immigration. While the government certainly should prevent terrorists from entering the country, singling out individuals for government surveillance and other violations of their rights because of religious faith violates the First Amendment and establishes a dangerous precedent that will be used against other groups. In addition, scapegoating all Muslims because of the act of one deranged individual strengthens groups like ISIS by making it appear that the US government is at war with Islam.

The Orlando shooting is being used to justify mass surveillance and warrantless wiretapping. For the past three years, the House of Representatives passed an amendment to the Defense Department appropriations bill limiting mass surveillance. But, last week, the same amendment was voted down. The only difference between this year’s debate and previous debates was that this year defenders of the surveillance state were able to claim that the Orlando shooting justifies shredding the Fourth Amendment.....

Suicide Bomber Disguised as Priest Kills Three at Christian Massacre Memorial in Syria

A suicide bomber disguised as a priest killed three people at an event commemorating the massacre of Christians more than a century ago in Qamishli, Syria. The assailant is believed to have targeted the head of the Syriac Orthodox Church, Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II.

According to Al Arabiya, the attack took place as locals gathered at a hall to commemorate the deaths of tens of thousands of Christians by the Ottoman army starting in 1915 in what is known as the Sayfo ("Sword") massacre. Patriarch Ignatius presided over the event, which was also attended by His Grace Mar Afram Athneil of the Assyrian Church of the East.

The suicide bomber, disguised as a priest, reportedly detonated his bomb when he was questioned by Sutoro security officials at a checkpoint outside a hall, killing himself and three guards, and wounding five others....

Boys forced to rape each other at Australian military schools - inquiry
Gruesome details about Australia’s military were revealed after a public inquiry on child sex abuse discovered how recruits were forced to rape one another as part of a sick initiation practice. The abuse went unnoticed for decades.

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse has received no fewer than 111 reports of incidents of sexual abuse carried out against navy cadets as young as 15 in the 1960s right through to the 1980s.
The harrowing ordeals involved instructions to rape each other, as well as carry out other, equally brutal attacks. Two institutions accounted for over 50 cases out of the 111 – the HMAS Leeuwin, in Western Australia, and an army apprentice school at Balcombe, Victoria.
The ordeal typically happened in the first six months of the boys’ stay. They would be encouraged to take part in a variety of acts – including ‘blackballing’ and ‘nuggetting’, both involving forced abuse of a sexual nature carried out by a group against one person.

Much worse, though, was the actual rape....

Writing on Twitter, AfD (Alternative for Germany) leader Frauke Petry said that "the time is ripe for a new Europe."

What is the Colombian peace process?
Who is involved? What has been agreed on so far? And just what does the FARC stand for? teleSUR explains.

The Colombian state has been at war with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People’s Army, known as the the FARC, for more than 50 years.

The FARC, along with other guerrilla groups, came about as a response to violent government repression of popular progressive movements in the 1950s and 60s. Inspired by the 1959 Cuban Revolution, the FARC sought to transform Colombia, a country where change at the ballot box was impossible.

But after five decades, the conflict has become an entrenched part of Colombian life, creating more than 6.7 million victims, and taking at least 220,000 lives. ....

The Brexit Vote - What Does it Mean?

What does it mean?

Hopefully, a breakup of the EU and NATO and, thereby, the avoidance of World War III.

The EU and NATO are evil institutions. These two institutions are mechanisms created by Washington in order to destroy the sovereignty of European peoples. These two institutions give Washington control over the Western world and serve both as cover and enabler of Washington’s aggression. Without the EU and NATO, Washington could not force Europe and the UK into conflict with Russia, and Washington could not have destroyed seven Muslim countries in 15 years without being isolated as a hated war criminal government, no member of whom could have travelled abroad without being arrested and put on trial.

Clearly, the presstitute media lied about the polls in order to discourage the leave vote. But it did not work. The British people have always been the font of liberty. It was the the historic achievements of the British that transformed law into a shield of the people from a weapon in the hands of the state and gave accountable government to the world. The British, or a majority of them, understood that the EU is a dictatorial governing mechanism in which power is in the hands of unaccountable people and in which law can easily be used as a weapon in the hands of unaccountable government.

Washington, in an effort to save its power over Europe, launched a campaign, willingly joined by presstitutes and the brainwashed left-wing, who flocked to the One Percent’s banner, that presented the effort to ....

1948: Harry Truman, the Nakba, and the mystery of the “Best Picture” Oscar

One evening in the late 1960s (I was then in high school), my father and I were watching television. The local station announced that, later that week, it would show the winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture of 1947, Gentleman’s Agreement.

My father and I awaited the film with anticipation. After all, we equated “Best Picture” Oscars with superior entertainment—films like All about Eve, On the Waterfront, Lawrence of Arabia, and A Man for All Seasons.

To our disappointment, Gentleman’s Agreement, a two-hour sermon on the woe of American anti-Semitism, was one of the dullest films we’d ever watched. It was all dialogue, no action. No humor either. A token romance was thrown in, but it had no spark.

Here’s the plot: Gregory Peck plays a writer who moves to New York City after being hired by a magazine. The editor assigns him to write a series on anti-Semitism. In order to write from real experience, Peck pretends to be Jewish. He sends two job applications to various employers, knowing the one with the Jewish name will get rejected. He soon discovers anti-Semitism lurking under every rock—at hotels, in his secretary, his doctor, his janitor, and even his new girlfriend, played by Dorothy McGuire. Peck spends much of the film lecturing these people about their bigotry, no matter how subtly they expressed it.....

Commentary: Brexit creates EU-Britain nightmare for the Caribbean

The 12 English-speaking independent countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) have at the most two years to formulate a plan for dealing with the serious consequences of the British Exit (Brexit) from the European Union (EU).
Indeed, the time may be less if the current mood of the leadership of the EU intensifies. They want Britain gone “as soon as possible”. The presidents of the European council, commission and parliament – Donald Tusk, Jean-Claude Juncker and Martin Schulz respectively – and Mark Rutte, the prime minister of the Netherlands, which holds the EU’s rotating presidency, are reported as saying any delay to Britain’s exit would “unnecessarily prolong uncertainty”.

Once Britain finally leaves, the 12 Caribbean countries will have no structured trade relationship with that country. When Britain joined what was then the European Economic Community in 1973, it transferred all authority for its trade agreements to the Community. Ever since then, the formal trade, aid and investment relations between the 12 Caribbean countries has been with EU. These relations were formalised successively in the Lome Convention, the Cotonou Agreement and the Economic Partnership Agreement.

Key to the terms under which the English-speaking Caribbean countries entered – and continued – the relationship with the EU was Britain, their former colonial ruler.

Up to the time of British entry to the EU, trade between Britain and ...

At least five people were stabbed in a riot that broke out at the state Capitol Sunday between more than 150 anarchists and “anti-fascist” protestors and about 25 neo-Nazis who had gotten permission to rally on the west steps, police said.

Dozens of police in safety gear and on horseback tried to control the mayhem. There were at least five stabbings, involving victims on both sides, according to Sacramento Police Chief Sam Somers, who had officers in safety gear on scene to support CHP officers, some of them on horseback. “It’s a highly volatile situation,” Somers said. They have been other skinhead rallies at the Capitol, but “this time the the anarchists have taken a much more aggressive stance to wreak havoc on the city.”

Dead Dogs in Kuwait

A disturbing set of images purportedly show a pile of dead bomb-sniffing dogs that were put down after their contract with a security company was cancelled.
In June 2016, a series of photographs purportedly showing dozens of dead bomb-sniffing dogs circulated on social media, along with the claim that the animals were killed by Eastern Securities after their contract with the Kuwait National Petroleum Company was cancelled:

Eastern Securities or E Sec was awarded a contract with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) to provide explosive detection dogs for their oil rigs. When KNPC canceled the contract with Eastern Securities, they were left with 140+ dogs that no longer had a job and were costing them money to feed and house them. Instead of being responsible with the working dogs and finding them homes, Eastern Securities chose the most cost-effective way of dealing with the unemployed working dogs, euthanasia. It is unknown at this time exactly how the dogs were killed or even if the remaining 90 are still alive.

Chris Zappone of the Australian newspaper
The Age plums the depths of stupefying Russophobia with an opinion piece titled "Donald Trump-Vladimir Putin: Russia's information war meets the US election." His message is, basically, next time you encounter a pesky social media troll, know that you have crossed swords with one of Vladimir Putin's troopers in the information war against the West.

Zappone presents a confused, jumbled mess of "facts" cobbled together and slapped onto paper. A bit like taking a mud pie and just chucking it, hoping some will stick. And let's face it, when it comes to gaining credibility and sombre faced approval on analysis of Russia's evil doings, Zappone doesn't have a very high standard to reach. A bit like randomly throwing mud pies, so too with "investigative journalism" on Russia; no matter how ludicrous, insane or uproariously hilarious, if it's anti-Russia it flies.

Now if this was just a bit of harmless fun, banter being thrown back and forth with protagonists in good humour trying to outdo each other in banality and hyperbole, then no harm would be done. But unfortunately, this endless, 'anything goes' Russophobia has consequences in softening up Western publics to accept sanctions and other anti-Russian measures and, ominously, to prepare us to accept the unacceptable; a possible war with Russia. Zappone and his ilk may deny such intent or even ridicule the suggestion, but the consequences of successful propaganda are real and tangible.

The article is a slovenly piece of worship of the establishment elites that control and neo-liberal crony capitalism which has crippled our societies. The rest of us, whether we are from the left, right, spiraling in the conspiracy ether, or located anywhere else on the political spectrum have no business in offering opinions on or alternatives to our socio-political order.

Zappone has fallen victim to the common journalistic tactic of making tenuous, .....

Do we really want a war with Russia?

War with Russia appears increasingly likely as the US and its NATO satraps continue their military provocations of Moscow.

As dangers mount, our foolish politicians should all be forced to read, and then re-read, Prof. Christopher Clark’s magisterial book, ‘The Sleepwalkers: How Europe Went to War in 1914.’ What is past increasingly appears prologue.

Prof. Clark carefully details how small cabals of anti-German senior officials in France, Britain and Russia engineered World War I, a dire conflict that was unnecessary, idiotic, and illogical. Germany and Austria-Hungary of course share some the blame, but to a much lesser degree than the bellicose French, Serbs, Russians and British.

We are seeing the same process at work today. The war party in Washington, backed by the military-industrial complex, the tame media, and the neocons, are agitating hard for war.

US and NATO combat forces are being sent to Russia’s western borders in Ukraine, the Baltic and Black Sea. NATO is arming, financing ($40 billion so far) and supplying Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. Prominent Americans are calling for the US to attack Russian forces in Syria. US warships are off Russia’s coasts in the Black Sea, Baltic and Pacific. NATO air forces are probing Russia’s western air borders.

Some of this is great power shadow boxing, trying to cow insubordinate Russia into accepting Washington’s orders. But much appears to be the work of the hard right and neocons in the US and Europe in spite of the desire of most Americans and Europeans to avoid armed conflict with Russia.

Hence the daily barrage of anti-Russian, anti-Putin invective in the US media and ....

USA can wage wars here, there, everywhere ... but can't fix a broken gas pipe spewing methane in California ?

Methane leak in California gets company into major trouble as criminal charges have been filed today.  The question is: How will that solve the problem which is still ongoing?  Hasn't it been 2 months+ since this accident?  So ... waging wars in Muslim nations and engineering coups all over the world is easier than fixing a broken gas pipe?  Sheesh!!
From CBC:
Southern California Gas Co.  needs to be held responsible, district attorney says
Los Angeles prosecutors filed misdemeanor criminal charges Tuesday against a utility for failing to immediately report a natural gas leak that has been gushing nonstop for nearly 15 weeks.

District Attorney Jackie Lacey said the charges aren't a solution to the problem, but Southern California Gas Co. needs to be held responsible for the leak that has uprooted more than 4,400 families.
The charges came the same day the state attorney general joined a long line of others in suing the gas company for the blowout that has spewed more than 1.8 million tonnes of climate-changing methane since October.

Lawmakers in Congress have urged the U.S. secretary of energy to investigate the leak, and federal regulators are crafting new safety standards for underground natural gas storage facilities.....

From CBC dated Dec 31
Methane leak in California a 'major catastrophe'
Leak 'largest ever recorded' could take 4 months to stop
About 42 kilometres from Los Angeles, above the houses nestled in the mountains of Porter Ranch, Calif., a plume of methane is shooting into the sky. The cloud is invisible but it stretches for kilometres, as though a forest fire has been continually burning for months. All of this is emanating from a tiny pipe about 20 centimetres wide, more than a kilometre underground.

"The amount of methane and natural gas that's coming out of the Aliso Canyon Facility really is probably one of the largest volumes of gas ever recorded from a single leak," says Tim O'Connor, an oil and gas ....

The California drought of 2015

Expect an exodus to other parts of America if the drought continues.  Those who can afford it will move from California to Florida ... one sunny place to another.  Oh .... to be rich!!

From NYTimes:
For more than a century,  California has been the state where people flocked for a better life — 164,000 square miles of mountains, farmland and coastline, shimmering with ambition and dreams, money and beauty. It was the cutting-edge symbol of possibility: Hollywood, Silicon Valley, aerospace, agriculture and vineyards.

But now a punishing drought — and the unprecedented measures the state announced last week to compel people to reduce water consumption — is forcing a reconsideration of whether the aspiration of untrammeled growth that has for so long been this state’s driving engine has run against the limits of nature.

The 25 percent cut in water consumption ordered by Gov. Jerry Brown raises fundamental questions about what life in California will be like in the years ahead, and even whether this state faces the prospect of people leaving for wetter climates — assuming, as Mr. Brown and other state leaders do, that this marks a permanent change in the climate, rather than a particularly severe cyclical drought.

This state has survived many a catastrophe before — and defied the doomsayers who have regularly proclaimed the death of the California dream — as it emerged, often stronger, from the challenges of earthquakes, an energy crisis and, most recently, a budgetary collapse that forced years of devastating cuts in spending. These days, the economy is thriving, the population is growing, the state budget is in surplus, and development is exploding from Silicon Valley to San Diego; the evidence of it can be seen in the construction cranes dotting the skylines of Los Angeles and San Francisco.

But even California’s biggest advocates are wondering if the severity of this drought, now in its fourth year, is going to force a change in the way the state does business.

Can Los Angeles continue to dominate as the country’s capital of entertainment and glamour, and Silicon Valley as the center of high tech, if people are forbidden to take a shower for more than five minutes and water bills become prohibitively expensive? Will tourists worry about coming? Will businesses continue their expansion in places like San Francisco and Venice?

“Mother Nature didn’t intend for 40 million people to live here,” said Kevin Starr, a historian at the University of Southern California who has written extensively about this state. “This is literally a culture that since the 1880s has progressively invented, invented and reinvented itself. At what point does this invention begin to hit limits?”

California, Dr. Starr said, “is not going to go under, but we are going to have to go in a different way.”

An estimated 38.8 million people live in California today, more than double the 15.7 million people who lived here in 1960, and the state’s labor force exploded to 18.9 million in 2013 from 6.4 million people in 1960.

California’s $2.2 trillion economy today is the seventh largest in the world, more than quadruple the $520 billion economy of 1963, adjusted for inflation. The median household income jumped to an estimated $61,094 in 2013 from $44,772 in 1960, also adjusted for inflation.

“You just can’t live the way you always have,” said Mr. Brown, a Democrat who is in his ...........

Earthquakes, volcanoes, plagues, floods, WARS ....

what a bonanza for "end days" prophesizers!

From JournalGazette:
Two earthquakes measuring over 5 in magnitude  – the biggest yet – shook Iceland’s Bardarbunga volcano Sunday after the country issued an aviation red alert warning that an ash-emitting eruption may be imminent.

Iceland’s Meteorological Office recorded earthquakes of 5.3 and 5.1 in the early hours. It said there were no signs of an eruption.
The volcano, underneath Iceland’s vast Vatnajokull glacier, has been rattled by thousands of small earthquakes during the last week.
On Saturday scientists reported a small eruption under the ice, but it was not visible on the surface, and the Meteorological Office later said it appeared to have stopped.
Authorities have declared a no-fly zone of 100 nautical miles by 140 nautical miles around the epicenter as a precaution.

180 dead as floods wash away homes   in Nepal, India
The death toll from three days of flooding and torrential rain in Nepal and India rose to more than 180 people Monday, as relief teams sent food, tents and medicine to prevent any outbreaks of disease.

The worst-hit areas were in western Nepal and northern India, where swirling floodwaters submerged hundreds of villages and swept away homes made of mud and straw....
The last few days have seen several earthquakes of 5+ magnitude, notably in Iraq, Iran and Iceland and several of 4+ magnitude in Indonesia (just noticed the coincidence of the names of  all these four countries beginning with "I" ) and now we have two recent earthquakes of 6+ magnitude.  One yesterday in Chile and the other this morning in northern California.  (Again, another coincidence. Both beginning with "C")  LOL!  If something major happens in Ukraine, then are we in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) LOL!  Notice I said Ukraine and not UK or USA.

I blame the poisonous vapors emitting from constant earthquakes for the dysfunctionality of Californians

Not joking ....I am serious, I tell you.  It gotta be the constant tremors which are responsible for making mush of people's brains over there.  First and above all, one has to be somewhat crazy to make one's home in the part of the USA which could have its own mass funeral services  without a living soul in attendance when the Big One hits. Secondly,  couple the initial "not all there" with the gas vapors seeping out of the earth after every tremor and entering your body ... and what do you get?  Californians!

Forget about breaking up the State into 2 states.  No sirree! Think 6.  Is this a plan to break up sections of California according to political preferences?  I suspect it is.

From TimeMag:
....This week,   the California Secretary of State’s office gave initial approval to a proposal that would split the Golden State into six new ones: Jefferson, North California, Silicon Valley, Central California, West California and South California. If proponents can gather 807,000 signatures by July 14, the question will go to voters in November.

At times like these, sceptics have to lay low and not breathe a word.  Let the fans of  the French seer and believers of  other prophecies  go nuttier than usual ... this is surely their time to shine.  Meteorites in Russia, California and Cuba and the big daddy, asteroid  2012 DA12 ... all within a 48 hour timeline.

In California:
Meteor flashes across bay area skies.

Nostradamus' followers are quoting the quatrain below in relation to the recent events.
The great star will burn for seven days,
The cloud will make two suns appear:
The large mastiff will howl all night
When the great pontiff changes his abode.
Are the  two "suns"  the meteors seen in  Russia and the meteor seen in Cuba?   The one seen in California doesn't count, because the place is full of demons and they saw something giving  off a  greenish or blueish light.  LOL
And has Pope Benedict XVI already changed residences ?   Not as far as we know.

In Cuba
Cuba, too, reports powerful meteorite explosion. Cuba apparently experienced a phenomenon similar to the meteorite that detonated over Russia this week, island media reported, with startled residents describing a bright light in the sky and a loud explosion that shook windows and walls.
There were no reports of any injuries or damage such as those caused by the Russia meteorite, which sent out shockwaves that hurt some 1,200 people and shattered countless windows.
In a video from a state TV newscast posted on the website CubaSi late Friday, unidentified residents of the central city of Rodas, near Cienfuegos, said the explosion was impressive.
"On Tuesday we left home to fish around five in the afternoon, and around 8:00 we saw a light in the heavens and then a big ball of fire, bigger than the sun," one local man said in the video.
"My home shook completely," said a woman. "I had never heard such a strange thing."
Marcos Rodriguez, whom the video identified as a specialist in anthropology, said all signs point to a meteorite.....

And, do you wanna  know what techy geeks think about the prophecies of Nostradamus?
When the Vulpi of Fire enters its fourth dimension,
And the Cerulean Mark of the Northern Dominion passes ten,
And the steely Tri-color Sphere of the Wise Seekers enters infinity,
A new era of blissful creation will be unleashed upon the webbed craftsmen.
Experts believe that Nostradamus is describing a time when all three major browsers will fully support a set of web standards, finally making it possible to develop truly browser agnostic web applications.....

You will have to visit the link to read it through.  From my quick glance the "Vulpi of Fire" is FireFox  "Cerulean Mark"  I think is Internet Explorer and the "Tr-color Sphere" is Google.  Although, this does seem to be a good analysis or perception or whatever it is that sceptics don't even want to touch upon when it comes to prophecies and the like....the non-sceptics too should bear in mind  that one can have a certain idea and comb through tomes like the French seer's works and other books to arrive with nuggets that can purport to make "prophetic" sense.

All this reminds me of an odious member from my extended family who has a quote from the Bible for anybody and everybody he sees as going against the wishes of God. I  had no idea that the Bible focused on your very own sinful Maria on many a page until the seer from my family tree pointed it out to me.  HAHAHAHHA

Many a time,  as  religious scholars love to point out,  an upheaval in the Catholic Church  also coincides with  earthquakes, floods and other calamities. Those and other signs are sent to tell mankind that the  big  honcho in the sky is mad with us.   Just coincidences?  I don't know ... I am just a puny little nobody who thinks I know a lot.

If God is mad with us, it must be because we have let EVIL destroy Christianity in the Middle East ... not only "let" but helped EVIL  destroy it.

Update: The Skeptoid on Nostradamus after reading what the Skeptoid had to say, I am sure the two quatrains quoted in my post above are made up by prophecy nuts and are not actually from the Frenchman's books.  Man-oh-man ... how nutty can these prophecy believers get ?!!  Sheesh !!

Down and Out in Beverly Hills

Some adult scenes make this "only for adults" kind of movie.  Little to do with Christmas until the very last few minutes .... but I still consider it to be a Christmas flick.
Nick Nolte, Bette Midler, Richard Dreyfuss and Little Richard act in this 1986 movie.

California Dreaming Nightmares

"Bite the hand that feeds you" .... that's the code that a Muslim worth his salt is supposed to follow.   Sheesh ....Judeo-Christian nations will never learn even though they are now on their death-bed.  The influx of Muslim immigrants carry on unabated.

Gigi Graciette reporting at FoxNews:
Four Southern California men    have been charged with plotting to kill Americans and destroy U.S. targets overseas by joining al-Qaida and the Taliban in Afghanistan, federal officials said Monday.
The defendants, including a man who served in the U.S. Air Force, were arrested for plotting to bomb military bases and government facilities, and for planning to engage in "violent jihad," FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said in a release.

A federal complaint unsealed Monday says 34-year-old Sohiel Omar Kabir of Pomona introduced two of the other men to the radical Islamist doctrine of Anwar al-Awlaki, a deceased al-Qaida leader. Kabir served in the Air Force from 2000 to 2001.

The other two -- 23-year-old Ralph Deleon of Ontario and 21-year-old Miguel Alejandro Santana Vidriales of Upland -- converted to Islam in 2010 and began engaging with Kabir and others online in discussions about jihad, including posting radical content to Facebook and expressing extremist views in comments.

They later recruited 21-year-old Arifeen David Gojali of Riverside.
Authorities allege that in Skype calls from Afghanistan, Kabir told the trio he would arrange their meetings with terrorists. Kabir added the would-be jihadists could sleep in mosques or the homes of fellow jihadists once they arrived in Afghanistan.....

Advances in Science

Instead of more scientific studies we keep experimenting on different ways to kill human beings in unwanted and illegal wars.

Building on recent advances in marine biomechanics, materials science, and tissue engineering, a team of researchers at Harvard University and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) has turned inanimate silicon and living cardiac muscle cells into a freely swimming “jellyfish.

The development serves as a proof of concept for reverse engineering a variety of muscular organs and simple life forms. It also suggests a broader definition of what counts as synthetic life in an emerging field that has primarily focused on replicating life’s building blocks.

The researchers’ method for building the tissue-engineered “jellyfish,” dubbed “Medusoid,” was published in Nature Biotechnology on July 22.

An authority on cell- and tissue-powered actuators, co-author Kevin Kit Parker previously demonstrated that bioengineered constructs can grip, pump, and even walk. The inspiration to raise the bar and mimic a jellyfish came out of Parker’s frustration with the state of the cardiac field.

Akin to how a human heart moves blood throughout the body, jellyfish propel themselves through the water by pumping. The researchers, in figuring out how to take apart and then rebuild the primary motor function of a jellyfish, worked to gain new insights into how such pumps work.........

The anti-plastic bags lunatics .... in California, USA ... Part Two

 David Sims of ThomasNetNews     writes:
...According to L.A. resident and filmmaker     Jay Beeber, plastic grocery bags “and other merchandise bags” make up only about 0.3 percent of the waste stream in California. Beeber cites studies showing that “on average, plastic retail bags make up about 1 percent to 2 percent of all litter” across the country.
Okay, one can argue that with these statistics, the pro-baggers have a dog in this fight, but then again, so do groups citing statistics in efforts to get plastic bags banned. Los Angeles County claims that as much as 25 percent of the city’s litter stream is plastic food-takeout bags.

But wait, the Save The Plastic Bag Coalition compared that claim to “litter audits” by other cities and states:
The San Francisco Department of the Environment litter audit conducted before plastic bags were banned in that city showed that plastic retail bags were 0.6 percent of all litter. The Florida figure is 0.72 percent. The Toronto figure is 0.13 percent....
...That “what else” is usually the claim that since plastic bags are made from oil, banning them will reduce our dependence on foreign oil or some such argument made by people who invariably oppose drilling for our own oil here in America to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
“Approximately 12 million barrels of oil go into the U.S. supply of plastic bags,” writes a promotional brochure on zerowaste.lacity.org.
According to plastic bag maker Elkay Plastics, based in Commerce, Calif., which presumably knows about its own business, the plastic resin used in manufacturing our bags “is made from a by-product of natural gas, not oil.”....
....the San Diego Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation — which conduct twice-monthly beach cleanups throughout the county and have successfully completed more than 170 beach cleanups — plastic bags account for 2 percent of the litter cleaned off beaches.
The most commonly encountered trash on the beaches, according to the people out there doing the collecting, are cigarettes and cigarette butts, by far, accounting for 38 percent of all refuse. If one wants to prettify Southern California’s beaches, one should immediately ban smoking on sand.
After that, ban plastic bottle caps; plastic food wrappers; plastic lids, cups and straws; Styrofoam cups and paper products, too, since more of those items are collected than plastic bags. Oh, and ban “Other,” too, while you’re at it, since beach cleaners collect seven times the amount of “Other” items than plastic bags.....

Somebody is experimenting with explosive pebbles

USA? Russia? China? Who?  Either that or these could be porous pebbles that have absorbed radiation from other experiments or something unknown to us as yet from the gas emitted  from quakes along that coastline. Very intriguing.

....A California mother is recovering from second- and third-degree burns after colored rocks her family collected from a southern California beach unexpectedly caught fire while in her shorts pocket.

"We were talking about who was going to pick up the babysitter," Lyn Hiner said today on "Good Morning America." "And all of a sudden something hot on my leg just sort of started to bother me so I started thinking it was a bug bite, so I started slapping it and the next thing I know my pants were on fire."

The harmless-looking, green- and orange-colored rocks, which Hiner's daughters found Saturday on San Onofre State Beach in southern California, are now the subject of an intense scientific investigation.

Hiner, 43, had put the rocks in her pocket after they left the beach. As she and her husband, Rob Hiner, were preparing to go out later that evening, the rocks suddenly erupted in her pants.

Rob Hiner, who appeared on "GMA" alongside his wife at the Santa Ana, Calif., burn center where she is being treated, said the couple had no idea what was happening.

"It was just this bright intense flame," he said. "We didn't know what it was. Our first response was just to try to pat it out.

"But, In trying to pat it out, it wasn't going out so the next thing was just to try and drop and roll and eventually we just tried to tear her shorts off and got them off of her," he said. ....

A message to the University of California ...

which will of course fall on deaf ears of the anti-Semites.

...We are the members of the board of Scholarsfor Peace in the Middle East (SPME), a grass-roots community of more than 50,000 academics on 4,000 campuses all over the world, who have united to promote honest fact based, and civil discourse, especially in regard to Middle East issues. We have noted with concern the degradation of civil discourse on campus and the increasing harassment and intimidation of pro-Israel and Jewish students and faculty in Europe, Canada, the United States, and elsewhere.

In response to that concern, the SPME Legal Taskforce recently produced a Statement of Principles on Academic Freedom and the Freedom of Speech.

Recent events at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) are a case in point. On February 29, 2012, after having tabled it in the two prior years, the Associated Students of UCSD (ASUCSD, the student government) defeated a resolution calling on the University system to divest from US companies, specifically General Electric and Northrop Grumman. UCSD's Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) had proposed the resolution, alleging that those companies supply components of Apache Helicopters that are sold to Israel and used by Israel's defense forcesagainst the Palestinian "population."After seven hours of contentious public statements and debate, the ASUCSD voted against the resolution.

One of the speakers who opposed the resolution was UCSD University Professor Shlomo Dubnov of the Music department, who heads the campus chapter of SPME. He reported to us that pro-divestment students at the meeting had used abusive language toward anti-divestment students and had called him a racist.....

Joseph Wambaugh ... to the rescue to save UC Davis from losing a tonne of cash

If you enjoyed his books (I think I have read and loved every single one) you will like reading his opinion piece in the LA Times on the pepper spraying incident at the OWS-UC Davis site.

In light of the terrible financial crisis at our California universities, I feel the need to rescue UC Davis, whose administrators are, according to The Times, negotiating a price with the Kroll security firm in New York for none other than former LAPD Chief Bill Bratton to fly West and tell us what went wrong on the day that students were pepper sprayed. I can save the university a hefty Kroll consulting fee by suggesting that the administrators carefully peruse a few of the newspaper articles of the past week and all will be revealed to them.

They might start with Wednesday's hilarious Times photo of a student in a porkpie hat and bandanna mask mau-mauing the earnest but obviously flummoxed UC Davis chancellor, Linda Katehi, who actually seems to be recording the lad's rant. The bandanna mask suggests he's in full-on guerrilla mode and fears being seized and waterboarded by hooded men in a dank police station base.....
