....The people over at New South Books are on a bit of a noun-hunt of their own these days. . The company is about to publish a cleaned up edition of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
The offending noun they have decided to vaporize is “nigger,” mentioned by author Mark Twain 219 times in his American classic. They will substitute the word “slave” in its place......
