It's hard to tear myself away from my new addiction ...online games. Every time I see some madness spouted on the "news" either on TV or online ... I make a hasty retreat to my new world of games. There are plenty of interesting games all over the net and almost all of them are free. Some might be just plain dumb and mindless but then what choice do you have between the madness of the Covid virus, the warmongering politics of the dying empire, the hatred of the other all around us, etc.etc. ... and another avenue for dulling your brain cells, huh??? Give me the dumb games... at least they don't raise my blood pressure... unless I am losing. Or give me the only good thing printed at The Guardian UK ... the cryptic puzzles.
However, I do spend an hour or two every day reading some meaningful stuff from my old and trusted bloggers or websites that carry an aggregate of articles from writers who are still holding it together in this crazy world of ours.

For the majority of the summer, demonstrations were pretty centralized to downtown as everything was taking place at the (In)Justice Center and the Federal Courthouse. As soon as activists started holding demonstrations at different precincts, federal agents and the police were still unleashing chemical warfare, only then they had began doing it in residential neighborhoods, gassing children that were asleep in their own homes- and at the ICE building, fumigating an entire school..............

..... Reddit user 'TheHappyHawaiian' posted the following thesis on buying silver noting that "the worlds biggest short squeeze is possible and we can make history."
'TheHappyHawaiian' cites two reasons to buy - The Short Squeeze and Fundamentals.
The short squeeze:
Buy SLV shares (or PSLV shares) and SLV call options to force physical delivery of silver to the SLV vaults.
The silver futures market has oscillated between having roughly 100-1 and 500-1 ratio of paper traded silver to physical silver, but lets call it 250-1 for now. This means that for every 250 ounces in open interest in the futures market, only 1 actually gets delivered. Most traders would rather settle with cash rather than take delivery of thousands of ounces of silver and have to figure out to store and transport it in the future.
The people naked shorting silver via the futures markets are a couple of large banks and making them pay dearly for their over leveraged naked shorts would be incredible. It's not Melvin capital on the other side of this trade, its JP Morgan. Time to get some payback for the bailouts and manipulation they've done for decades (look up silver manipulation fines that JPM has paid over the years).....
.... The futures market is kind of the wild west of the financial world. Real commodities are being traded, and if you are short, you literally have to deliver thousands of ounces of silver per contract if the holder on the other side demands it. If you remember oil going negative back in May, that was possible because futures are allowed to trade to their true value. They aren't halted and that's what will make this so fun when the true squeeze happens.....

Which is the more reasonable approach a society might take in the outbreak of epidemic:
To quarantine the sick, and take reasonable precautions to stop those who are identified as vulnerable from contracting the illness.
To attempt to “control the virus” by preventing millions of healthy people from having contact with other healthy people.
To any society prior to 2020, it would have been obvious that the first approach is not only logical and proportionate, but the one least likely to have other unintended and highly destructive consequences. However, to my continued astonishment, many in our society not only believe that the answer is the second, but they somehow believe it to be based on established science......
