This guy went to Syria to fight alongside one of the terrorist groups affiliated to Al Qaeda. There's more here than we will ever know. While fighting alongside a terrorist group, this man met with USA's intelligence who were running arms. His interview with ABC is pretty confusing and I think the network has scrubbed pretty much more than half of what he said in the interview, and so everything sounds disjointed and meaningless...but we can still come away with two conclusions. One ... he is mega stupid (shows the calibre of soldiers in the US army). Two ... CIA and other intelligence agencies have been operating in Syria from probably even the start of the civil war and are coordinating transfer of arms from Turkey into Syria.
